Unlike what other reviewers wrote, IT IS accessible! You only need to get the keys for the entrance door from Mr. Fintan White before 6pm, he lives just a mile from the Tomb. Don't miss it, as it's extremely interesting inside. I've been to countless Neolithic sites all over Europe and the carvings here truly stand out.

Well worth visiting if you're in the area and like megalithic tombs. This one has a concrete roof which I found a bit off putting. But the result is a spacious albeit dark space. Get the key first. Go back to the time junction, turn left and then take the first right, carry on about 1.5km and stop at the sixth house on your right. They'll give you a key for a deposit

My favorite passage tomb, I have been there many times, on most occasions with no other people. You can enjoy this place on your own, spend there as much time as you like. Feel the energy of Fourknocks.

Amazing place Especially on a nice day. This should be made into a tourist attraction the only unfortunate thing at the moment you can not go inside to see the art. There is a working farm next to and around this site, and no need to enter it as there is a pathway for you to come and go. Please be respectful to the site and bring away any rubbish you may have . If you come by car,try keep you car parked well in at the side of the road as machinery can pass. I would like to thank the local caretaker for a fantastic job they do

A simple yet very well preserved neolithic tomb. You currently cannot go inside the tomb but the outside is freely accessible without charge. Stunning views on a sunny day.

When I arrived there was already a family here who had collected the key for the door.Inside the tomb it is very dark and camera phone torch is not really bright enough, so if you can, take a torch. The stone carvings are different from those at Newgrange but equally as interesting. A must visit.

Fourknocks is a Passage Chamber Tomb built about 5000 years ago. It is located 10 miles southeast of Newgrange between Ardcath in County Meath and the Naul in County Dublin. The name Fourknocks may be from the Irish Fuair Cnocs meaning Cold Hills or maybe Four Cnocs is a reference to the Four Tombs (Four Hills). There is faraway from the main road, no parking around. Very small place, unfortunately closed for public.

Went there and met the lovely who provided us with the key! There’s also a deposit and get your deposit back upon the return of the key!! Nice experience 😊

This is bare minimum experience as little to no funding. You need to call a local house to get the key to tomb. But it's a genuine part of Irish history that's thousands of years old. Great view on top of the tomb.

Get the key from Mrs White - you'll need to leave a €20 deposit - and travel about a mile to the tomb, but what awaits you is a gorgeous neolithic tomb that gives a real impression of what it must have been like to be there in the distant past.

Amazing views. Its alway calm & quite. You need to get the key from the local key holder. Its a small cottage on the right about 5 min drive away. Also you need to give €20 deposit and will get it back in return of key.

It's a burial chamber, but it has been covered by a new cement roof, but this just adds to it and makes lots of room for visitors. You collect the key from the house down the road, very nice people require a deposit for the key but it is worth it.

Nice small tomb. To get the key follow directions but on the bend you need to keep straight and the house is on the right. If you come to a T junction you've missed the turn.

Sehr interessant, man muss den Schlüssel dafür bei einer alten Dame holen. Der Punkt für die Schlüsselabholung ist auf Google Maps. Unbedingt eine Taschenlampe oder Handylicht nehmen.

Drove a long way to see inside the tomb but no one answered the door when we went to pick up the key. (even though a car was at the property) Went back to view the outside which was ok but really disappointed with the key situation.

A 5.30 am adventure into the sacred land of the past, present and in our future. Beautiful feels in this place. Completely alone yet surrounded by friends in peace and love.

Fun little stop to explore. It was lovely as it was not busy with tourists but you do need to get a key to go inside.

Lovely views. Go on a weekday and you'll likely have the place to yourself. Get the key. Directions are on a sign. But to get to the care taker head to the T junction. Take a left and the its a right in anout 100 meters (more kind of straight on really) as the main road turns sharply to the left. Then 7th on the right. About a mile.

This Tomb can only be visited if you get the key beforehand. A sign will tell you where you have to go (it's about a mile away). Once you unlock the iron door, you can go into the Tomb. It's best if you bring a torch as it is pitch dark in there. On the walls you then can see interesting signs and symbols which very much remind of the symbols of the Maori and Aboriginals. As with all these tombs, they are in very energy-laden areas, very quiet, very peaceful. The great thing is that the Tomb is not spoiled with a tourist centre and a huge car park. It just is there in the middle of a field.

It’s the most magical place in Dublin, you can see seven different counties from the top, it’s a quiet but lovely area and would totally recommend a walk there. Sometimes the door is open sometimes it’s closed

Hidden gem! Circle mound with incredible carvings. Larger interior than many I saw this trip. Has had some reconstruction as was originally fiber/thatch roof(?). Must get key from owner to go inside and need deposit which will be returned after key is returned. Can climb up this one, which gives some beautiful views.
