Beautiful place, perfect for a walk with the family, my wife and I loved going. A detail that Drogheda City Council needs to see is how we can walk from the center. Very slippery ice all the way in the winter. And no chance of going by bus because there isn't one.

All year round this is an awesome space to visit. Meander down from Drogheda via the gorgeous Ramparts walkway and end up in the visitor centre, it's about a 5km walk but level all the way and well maintained. Stunning cafe to recharge and really well organised and hosted events. Loads of history in the area and the centre is excellently maintain and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The pop up market had lovely stalls and divine food from the Boyne Valley. Well worth the visit!

Great place for a walk, be it short or long, you can also walk from Drogheda to here using the boyne walkway, it's about a 40min walk. Paths at the park can get a bit mucky at times but well worth it. Good sized car park with toilet facilities. There is also a fantastic cafe in the grounds of the walled garden.

Great propriety, lovely well kept walled gardens. The exhibition is small but well made. Enjoyed especially the short reenactment movie about the Battle of the Boyne.

The grounds are beautifully kept. It is wonderful for people to find an activity or just to get time away. The day we visited we had perfect blue skies. The visitor centre is decent but I would like to see more there and for it to be more interactive. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Lovely place to walk around. Steeped in history. Nice and relaxing and if your into plant and an area for a nice picnic a good place to go. The museum and heritage and historic history of the the battle of the Boyne was very good and informative. They hav a excellent coffee shop where you can get some nice salads ' soup' or a lovely sausage roll. A very good selection of cakes and treats including icreams cones etc. Nice teas and coffee as well as Earl Grey tea's and royboss tea. Clean and tidy and friendly staff. I would highly recomend a visit.

The battlefield is well signposted and has walks. It is quite 'manicured' though so you need to use your imagination. Unfortunately, some of the indoors displays were broken (like the battlefield animation map), but that did mean free entry! Cafe good; shop closed and empty of stock, alas.

Pick the right day and it's a slice of heaven. There is plenty of free parking and you can walk on a boardwalk style path from the property all the way to Drogheda Central. Incredibly beautiful and flat. Anyone disabled or with kids/prams/ bikes etc.. will love it as it really is totally flat. A perfect 10km round trip. Sorry no photos yet. I was late back and didn't get to the house, next time.😉😊

If you like a good walk, enjoy nature or simply like a quiet place to think, then this is the place. I love to go walking with my camera and Oldbridge is one of my favourite places to visit.

Really great spot for a History lesson as well as for a great family outing. There is a lovely garden that has a restaurant and hosts events. The surrounding grounds are great for a walk, a picnic or some family play and very well maintained. The food is great and the visitor centre is very modern and well put together. The entire site is very clean and very well maintained. There is ample parking as well.

On Saturday 9th December 2023, my friend and I (plus my 2 well trained older dogs) battled the elements and took the lovely walk from Drogheda to Old Bridge House and Gardens. When we got there we wanted to get some lunch and warm up before visiting the museum and gardens. We then saw the signs no dogs allowed in the gardens. Fair enough. So we went to the cafe. We asked a nice young employee who was coming out the door if we could sit inside in a quiet corner as the weather was stormy. He came back with the answer No and we could sit outside. The seats were soaking and there was no shelter from the heavy rain. He pointed us to the front of the cafe which had a cover and there we sat in the freezing cold and rain. When we went into order our lunch there were only 3 people in the cafe, a couple and a toddler who was removing the Christmas decorations and climbing up onto the ice cream cabinet. The staff in the cafe ran by Brambles were lovely and made me a very nice veggie sandwich and the supervisor was very apologetic about us having to sit outside in a storm. As soon as we had eaten our food a person in a security rain jacket came up to us and very rudely barked at us that there were signs all over saying dogs are not allowed in the garden and told us to leave. The dogs were leashed to our table on the terrace overlooking the garden we never got to see. We were absolutely shocked by the treatment and discrimination we received from the OPW employees. We will NEVER go again and we are telling everyone we know about our experience. I own bars in Dublin and our daily trade is made up mostly of dog walkers who spend a lot of money on coffees and snacks particularly in the cold months. They are losing out on a huge market. If we were to run our business and run our customers like they do we would go bankrupt.

Not enormous but really good. The laser description of the battle was great. And the gardens and cafe are all worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic place to visit, house has the history about a battle that changed Irish history laid out for you with exhibitions and audio visual at the end. Then a visit to the adjoining walled garden and tearoom is a must on a bright day like we had. All in all well worth a visit and I certainly will be back again. Entrance fee was only €5 per adult.

This place is a treasure. With plenty of delightful walks, short and long, this is a perfect place for an outing. There are a few picnic tables in the field near the main house and there is a basic cafe on site. The gardens are lovely and well maintained. The toilets at the car park were closed on my last visit but the ones at the cafe were open, and spotlessly clean. Go visit!

Besides the history of the site, it's a nice place to visit. It's very well kept, you can also get your coffee, cakes etc, all in all a good day out for family.
