Rooms were nice, clean & comfortable, some staff where inexperienced though, asked for a cup at breakfast for tea & had to ask 4 times, lovely hotel though, would visit again.

Myself and my friends recently stayed here. We had stayed before and didn’t have a good experience but was a complete turnaround this time. The service was amazing from all the staff. Very friendly and attentive. They placed our rooms together as requested and very quick check in/check out. We all had dinner which was beautiful. Feather blade beef/Curry/Penne Salmon - all gorgeous and huge portions. Half & half chips & rice allowed. Our server was very helpful and friendly. Followed by live music on Saturday night which is always a plus. The breakfast layout is deli style - queue up but they dish out. Food was gorgeous with all the usual on offer. Pet hate of mine is the self service toast machines but I’ll get over that. I did see signs for gluten free foods and a dedicated GF toaster which is great to see. Overall very impressed and would definitely go back. Hopefully next time to catch one of their shows they have on as the deals look amazing.

We celebrated our Dad's Birthday yesterday in City North and we all agreed the food and service was fantastic. In saying that any of the time's we have been for food in City North it's always fantastic. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks again to all in City North. A+++

All I can say for this place is wow wow wow. An absolutely beautiful hotel, with even nicer food and fantastic staff. Staff from every area in the hotel are second to none and i must say they were the nicest staff in a hotel I've ever come across. The manager Joseph went above and beyond for us after a small issue with the rooms 📺. The way in which it was handled was fantastic so i wouldn't even consider removed a star for this. Only a half hour away from Tayto park with it being a very straight forward journey. No pool but it didn't even matter. Kids had a kids cinema twice a night which was fantastic. They had a ball. Overall absolutely amazing hotel and i highly recommend. A kids park onside is also there for them to play away and a petrol garage about 100 meters from front door of hotel. Highly recommend.

Bar service very bad. Function room beer very warm, no effort to rectify the problem, plenty of complaints, had to use the main bar to get a proper cold beer. Waiting staff cleared a lot of drinks while people dancing or using the toilet or generally mingling with other guests. When I engaged with staff about this matter I was told because no one was sitting at the table, it a given that the table was to be cleaned. This for the record was while the bar was still open. Some, not all drinks were replaced. Think staff need training or retraining on these basic bar skills. A nice average hotel, food okay, rooms clean, perhaps a course in customer service would help. Guests are paying good money for hotels. It would be nice to value your guests.

Very comfortable hotel, staff very friendly . Rooms very good with great beds. Breakfast was good but they should allow self service buffet rather than waiting on staff member to do it for you. Great value for money hotel.

Not the most friendliest staff but the hotel is conveniently situated to Dublin airport if you needed it for a day before traveling. The front desk clerks never greeted or smiled when guests checked in. Lobby was a nice size with lots of seating. Large  restaurant with live music on weekends. We had dinner on a Saturday night and what a mistake that was. Big event going on with young children/teens. Kids running in restaurant with no supervision. Took awhile to get a waiter, when we did, our drink order was incorrect. Ordered a Bailey's coffee and got an Irish Whisky coffee as it was really dark. We had 2 different waiters/waitresses come to our table as we asked for another drink. We had to request a manager as they all kept saying the coffee was Bailey's. Our first waiter finally returned with the correct drink. Food was awlful. Ordered pepperoni pizza and the crust was undercooked and cheese wet and dripping. Had the hamburger and fries which was tasteless. Had to ask for salt. The only food item that was okay was the seafood chowder. Had more seafood than chowder. Bedrooms has 1 twin and a double bed, quite small. Their amenities provided had shampoo/gel combined but no conditioner. Would have given 1 star but we did enjoy the gentleman that played music in the restaurant.

My Mother and I attended this hotel for “High Tea” as a treat for my Birthday. We arrived into a cold, bare, dim room. Two tables overall had been set up for tea. The service was horrendous. We had no menus handed to us, no tea menus and just left sitting there. Food just arrived out, no one explained the food or asked if we needed anything. Another couple arrived shortly after us and their food looked like it had more options than what we had received. We left the hotel deflated and underwhelmed. On our way back home we both started to feel rather unwell. I had bad nausea and felt really tired and my mother called me later to inform me she had explosive diarrhoea. She is in her 70’s this is concerning as she is usually backed up for weeks on end. Anyway, terrible hotel, awful food, nasty outcome! Would not recommend unless you want to lose a stone in weight from being unwell.

Nice enough hotel a bit out of the city. Rooms are modern and reasonably comfortable, though the pillow was nothing to write home about. Food and drinks in the Tara weren't bad.

This was our second stay at the hotel, I doubt there will be a third.. Location is great and very easy to get to. However, our room was frankly dirty the main issue being the bathroom. I tried to raise these issues at reception but was directed to send an email...so no solution given... I would be inclined to look elsewhere..

Brought a group of 20+ people. Hotel staff was proficient and pleasant throughout. Early wake up calls, breakfast bags all efficiently delivered.

I feared for my safety at a recent concert I attended. The experience was totally ruined by highly intoxicated individuals standing on the chairs shouting and roaring during the concert. These individuals then got on stage mid performance to take selfies with the artist. They stood in front of the stage for the vast majority of the concert in front of the artist blocking everybody’s view. I paid for a ticket for a seated performance in a civilised setting of a 4 star hotel. Security was non existent on the Night. Not one person was evicted on the night. Please look back on the chaotic scenes on your cctv system and investigate this situation immediately. I sent two emails to the hotel in relation to the chaotic scenes on the night to settle this incident privately but they were Ignored.

Stayed at the City North Hotel after a fun pack day at Funtasia. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone. Our meal was Amazing and the kids loved the chocolate brownies and ice cream. Later in the bar there was a very talented musician who created a beautiful evening of entertainment with some great song choices. Perfect location & perfect Hotel Daniel is an amazing Manager and his staff are a credit to him.

Great location for a family break away to funtasia which was only 15 mins, and Emerald park 25 mins away. The staff in Tara's Lounge was second to none, they were so obliging and polite an absolute credit to The Managers. Would def recommend this hotel.

This is not a 4 star hotel. When you book a room for a family of 4 and the set it up for 3 and do nothing about it when asked. Then you will see the shower leaks really bad with scum round the bath and the shower was rubbish. The staff in the restaurant are nice, just there service is a bit slow. Would maybe think.about another hotel next time, as the price was not worth it. Sort your rooms out and maybe we will be back.

I can't comment on the rooms or the facilities but have had a few work lunches and training days there. The lunch menu is good and the pizzas looked fantastic - clean friendly and probably more catered towards big functions or business than family holidays.

We recently stayed at CityNorth Hotel and Conference Centre for one night after arriving in Dublin. We found the room very spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff was very kind and helpful. We stayed a while in the Tara lounge and then had dinner. Some of the decor in the restaurant looked a little older but food was good and the wait staff was accommodating.

I was in City North Holel for a short period last Sunday. It was bustling with young people at a dancing competition. An ideal place to hold big events. They have a large car park with is also ideal for such events. I had a very pleasant though short visit to this hotel.

Pulled off the M1 at Junction 7 for a rest and a snack at the City North Hotel. Free car parking. Enjoyed a vol au vent and a club sandwich. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Pleasant and attentive service. Nice decor and surroundings. Not too busy on the afternoon we visited. Some use it as a stop off point for Dublin Airport. Regular Mathews Transport return bus from there to the airport and city centre. Worth considering. Good hotel deals available.

Recently got married on the 5th of March 2022. Jean our wedding coordinator did a fantastic job from start to finish and took all our worries away so we and our guests could really enjoy our special day, always on hand for any queries. Also to Eddie and Gina a huge thank you from us both. Food and function room was first class and everything could not have gone better. We would highly recommend anyone thinking of having their wedding in the City North Hotel book it, you won't be disappointed. Sincere thank you to all the team at City North, Audrey and Denis.

We had an amazing stay in this lovely hotel while doing tayto park. We only stayed the one night and it was amazing. The hotel done a package deal which included tayto park tickets and dinner! Saved us from driving the whole way back to Belfast after a long day in the theme park. The room was spotless and they even got us a fridge for our sons milk. The staff where just incredible, extremely helpful and kind. The dinner was beautiful and the service was great. There is even a little play park out the front of the hotel that kept the kids entertained for a while. Will definitely be back here again.

Hi I stayed for 1 night in the hotel last night with my friend. The reason I am giving this hotel 5 stars is because of a few things. Hotel receptions where lovely can't fault them at all. Room for the night was clean fresh and great for the price. We had booked in for afternoon tea was good for the price but lacked in freshness I think that needs some work. We had booked in for dinner at 7pm we where seated at a lovely table with lots of room was lovely. I feel the staff could do with some training on manners when dealing with customers as had asked 1 or 2 of the waiters for water and vinger and hot a rude reply. Dinner was not what I was expecting I had ordered the Thai curry and as a chef myself that was not a Thai curry it was bland and there was no taste to it at all When I had asked staff all I got was im sorry but that is our thai curry it was more like a mcdolads curry mixed with water. Not very impressed. Breakfast this morning was beautiful staff alot friendly but still had no clue on drinks. Sorry about the reviews as I said some staff where great very nice and friendly and some just couldn't care less with their customers. Not sure I would stay again

I have stayed in this hotel before and ate in the restaurant but this review is solely based on the treatment we received this evening. Never in my whole life of being served have I ever been treated so disrespectfully. I couldn’t confirm her name but the lady in the black waist coat treated myself and my teammates like absolute dirt. We had returned from a sporting event and were chatting at our tables.. as any team would do. However, on a number of occasions the lady in the waist coat came over to tell us that we had made numerous other customers leave.. which I confirmed with the reception staff at the hotel, was absolute nonsense. I have never felt so horribly treated in my life and myself and the others at our table could genuinely not believe the treatment we received. I am so disappointed at tonight’s events.

Went for Sunday lunch with a group of family and friends and found that all the staff in the restaurant area were very unpleasant and intrusive. Each time a staff member walked past our table they stared at us whilst we were trying to enjoy our meal. When we were finished our meals and staff were taking away plates they just appeared and took the plates and cutlery without asking us if we finished or otherwise. I would not recommend the restaurant to others and certainly will not being going again myself.

I do like European hotels. They're not as expensive as the American ones and they tend to be a bit more modern and up to date. Good service and treatment as always. Would come here again.

From the moment we checked in it was a shambles first off we booked a family room two adults and two children age 9 and 2 total came to €206 with breakfast absolutely fine but got to check in and where told the room didn't include breakfast I said nothing as my husband hates to complain about this stuff so at check in she charged us €218 to include breakfast I know it's only €12 but still 🤷‍♀️ iv attached our confirmation email that states breakfast included for a total of €206.. At check in we where asked if we wanted to book a table for dinner and we told them we would be ordering room service as it would be easier with the kids that didn't seem a problem until we rang to order room service and where told they weren't doing room service as there was a big event on at the hotel a couple of minutes later they called back to say they would make a exception because of the kids delighted we ordered our food 1 an a half hour later still no food both kids where starving I rang reception and was told order was not sent to kitchen because we never stated how my husbands steak should be cooked we had to put the kids into the car and drive to the nearest mcdonalds. Back to the Hotel and the water was barely warm for showers and to bath the kids.. I wouldn't call the rooms the cleanest either. And I won't even get started on the breakfast it was a disgrace wish I had taken pictures service was disappointing no one around offering tea or coffee one poor girl left on her own to serve guests there breakfast. Definitely by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and Definitely not family friendly. I have no idea how this hotel even has 4 stars 🤷‍♀️ the mind boggles

Went to drifters. concert was fantastic but what poor service both bar and dining area. And what's more the staff did not even care that we sat with our dinners on table for 15mins before our veg came. At that I had to go and ask for veg. There were a croup of us and really I don't think any of us would return. Also 1 barman on had to wait 10mins at the bar while he served one other person so disappointed at the service and staff were not friendly either

We enjoyed a very nice lunch here for a recent family celebration. The bar is well laid out and has a fresh appearance. The menu was fairly standard for this type of establishment. We ordered a range of dishes and everyone in our group enjoyed what they ordered. The service was good and we enjoyed our experience. I would return here again, a very handy location to meet for lunch.

Lovely staff, food was very good considering there were 200+ people on the night, to see Abbaesque, compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff. The following morning the hotel was pristine clean 👌 thanks to all the cleaning and bar/hotel staff. Looking forward to our next stay in September.
