Where to start. Booked a 2 night stay. Put in room 5 that was just not fit for people to stay. The mattress was years old that you could feel the springs coming through which clearly caused an awful night sleep. There were lots of little black hairs on the sheets along with fake tan marks from last guest. No duvet cover. Hairs in bathroom & on towels. Following our request we got moved the next morning to another room without even an apology. Duvet cover was there but not clean. Dust was shocking. Have to say breakfast was amazing. But service around it was desperate. Breakfast finished when we got toast. Make your own tea using a kettle. Tables not dressed. Stayed here 2 years ago and it was a different story. Unfortunately this time will not be returning..

Strada is nice and welcoming, good breakfast, nice location close to Dublin. Rooms may need to be refurbished... On the whole a good stay

Having been there before is the reason we returned. But it was like a different place. On arrival which was pre arranged to be late 22:00her.we went to the side entrance as instructed.after 5 mins waiting to be allowed in.we were asked if we had been before which was a yes.Well you should have gone to the main door .We said ok.After The lady looked for Our reservation and couldn't find it.I had to point it out on Her guest list. Then we were handed the key and Wait for it??We were told that we had to take our bags and ourselves back out of the side entrance along the front of the Hotel and let ourselves in The Main Entrance. When I asked Why??Was Told it didn't look good walking past customers who were sat in Restaurant. Then breakfast???Usually spot on.but again ordered full breakfast.got it some parts cold.sausages browned on outside Raw inside.could go on.but won't.Very Dissappointed 😕😕

Seems to have picked up some poor reviews recently, but I thought all was fine. Friendly welcome, good WiFi, decent breakfast and centrally located in the town. Also easily accessible from Dublin City centre by train.

I am writing this email on behalf of my parents who stayed in your B&B on the above date. They were so disappointed with their stay. 1. The duvet was upside down on the bed with all buttons open. They pulled it back to find a flat sheet underneath but no fitted sheet, just the mattress. 2. They went to have a shower and there was just one ripped towel in the bathroom. They went to find someone to ask for new towels and they found two people sitting in courtyard smoking - my Mam was unsure as to whether they were guests so went looking for somebody else. She eventually found another person and requested some towels - the lady was quite abrupt. The towels they got were damp and were dropped up by one of the people sitting in the courtyard so they were staff members. 3. They went down for breakfast the next morning and there was very little on offer. Juice in jugs covered by clingfilm. You had to boil a kettle yourself for tea - they did this and put the milk in and it was sour. My parents then just couldn't eat breakfast as they had such a bad experience. The cost of stay was €150 - it was by far the worst experience they have ever had. There was nobody on reception to complain so I am writing this review.

Room was smelly and noisy, shower didn't work properly, lights in the room were flickering and the ones in the bathroom were turning on and off by themselves. We skipped free breakfast due to hygiene concerns. Were just snubbed by the staff on two occasions. This was the worse place I even stayed.

Had the misfortune to stay in this appalling place over Christmas. Room was shabby, broken lamps, missing bulbs and worn out bedding. Bathroom was a disgrace - smashed tiles, collapsing vanity unit, broken sink and filthy. If we had not paid fully in advance I would have walked away. Disgrace to a charming and scenic town.

I mean you can stay a night there , there are beds and shower with warm water. But it was a disaster . We were told to come to check in at 3 pm - the door was closed, we rang the door we rang the number - there was no answer. Another 3 couples were waiting same as us. We finally reached somebody on a private mobile phone number and we were told to wait . Finally 25 min later one of the workers opened the door, he told us to wait a little bit while he checked if our room was ready(???)!!! after another 5 min he gave us the key , we went to the room, and there was this weird smell of an air freshener. (???) the room was very “vintage” but there were stains on the sheets and dust on top of the mirror. We left to the town and returned to our room that night and established that we have everything for tea makings but we don’t have a kettle !!!! We went to Reception but we didn’t find anyone there. There was no water to drink, no kettle to make a cup of tea and nobody that we could turn to!(???) In the morning we asked to order 2 full Irish breakfasts, which on the menu said was: 2 sausages 2 bacon, 2 hash browns , and the same worker there was yesterday took our order no bother, in a while he brought us 2 plates with 1 sausage 1 beacon and 1 hash brown!!! When the guy came back we made him aware that we ordered full Irish breakfast then he told us that they don’t do that because it gets waisted… (????) But at the same time the couple who sat beside us got 2 sausages 2 bacons 2 hash browns on the plate no problem. How is that a service? How is that acceptable? We payed for 2 nights, stayed only one and we will never stay with you again.

I stayed at the Red Bank House in September of 2008. From the moment I stepped into the building until the day I left I received the finest of service. My room was spacious and very comfortable, and the food was excellent. The owner/chef came to my table at breakfast on several mornings to inquire how I was doing, and if I was enjoying myself. I highly recommend this establishment if you happen to be in need of a great B&B in Skerries!

Very disappointed, rooms were dusty smelt funny bed sheets were dirty. Holes in the walls which were hidden by random wonky pictures. Bathroom had lots of rust around shower and mould. Owners were lovely people but just did not have a notion of how to run the place , breakfast was ok

Booked for 2 nights, stayed one night. Bedding was dirty, matrass was old and in bad condition. Baby cot was broken. Room was dusty. Window didn't close properly and there was noise from the street. Kettle was dirty, full of scale. No hair dryer in the room. Robbery. Very disappointed. Will not be back.

I have literally nothing good to say about place. Its just awful. Essentially just an overpriced hostel. We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids, with surprisingly, just 2 beds. Shower/bath was filthy. If i shone a black light on it,it would probably be visible from space. Furniture was shocking. The single bed wouldn't look out of place in a prison cell. Drawers were falling apart and held together with tape. Pillows were straight from the 80s. But the best was yet to come, the breakfast... The 'full Irish' was far from full. 1 sausage, 1 rasher, half piece of pudding, microwaved tablespoon of beans and a few mushrooms that were cooked within inches of the law. We asked for orange juice and tea and were pointed towards a jug of water with a couple of slices of orange floating in it and a kettle. Needless to say, we went to a local cafe instead. Genuinely surprised to see that this hovel is rated as 4 star accommodation. At the very least, three and a half of those should be taken away. If i was given a choice between staying at the Redbank or taking a trip with the McCanns with Bill Cosby serving drinks, i don't think the redbank would get a look in. TL:DR... Avoid this place like the plague.

I seriously wonder how this hotel got 4.2 stars. - on the day of arrival, the staff did not expect us and asked if we had already paid - the majority of the joints in the bathroom was covered with black mold - Even the ceiling in the bathroom was black with mold - the mattress was completely worn out and the bed had dirty bed linen - actually the room window should have two levers to close it, one was completely missing and it didn't close properly - the breakfast was ok, but on all days except the first there were always missing items, but they were listed on the breakfast menu - the furniture was damaged in many places or completely broken through I cannot recommend the redbank guesthouse to anyone and can only warn you all. I wish I could have given it 0 stars, but unfortunately that's not an option here. we had the impression that the guesthouse used to be good a few years ago and since then the owner has changed.

Me and my husband stay here at least 6 times a year. Its our favourite place to stay in Ireland. Fantastic restaurant to eat in food is top class. Breakfast is amazing. The kindest and most professional staff. Its spotless clean. I recommend the Red Bank 100% if u want a beautiful relaxing break. Terry McEvoy is a pure gent and a wonderful chef. Very engaging with his customers and him and his staff strive to give their customers a wonderful experience with their food whilst there. We just love this place so much.

We stayed here recently and very very happy with our accommodation. The room was cosy and well maintained. The owner was very friendly. It is situated in a perfect spot for wandering around Skerries. One thing to note is the parking is on a public road and has to be paid for, but you can top up at night for the morning so you don't have to rush out before breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was very nice and served by a lovely lady. Overall I would happily recommend.
