Lovely place to stay with family and friends. Everything you need and plenty of beds. In the Boyne Valley and close to the sights. If you like whiskey and the distillery at Slane Castle is open, stop by! Cute animals and friendly staff. Even gave me a ride into town to save me a hike with a heavy pack. I plan to come back with my family.

Lovely little campsite with playground, sandpit, animals and forest for collecting firewood. My kids had such a lovely time here. Only negative is the lack of any soap or sanitizer in the kitchen/bathrooms, which is concerning during a pandemic..

I have stayed in the cottages on two occasions befoe and they were superb but I was not expecting such a brilliant set up when I booked camping for Harry Styles. It was so well organised. Nothing was missing. Food, toilets, showers, bins all provided and all really good standard. The stewards/security were very friendly and helpful and the whole atmosphere onside was just really chill. We were 3 mothers (whose first Slane experiences were as teenagers in the 90s 🙈) and our 3 daughters who's first Slane experience was this trip to Harry Styles. Slane Farm Hostel added so much to whole weekend. Absolutely wonderful, thank you so much.

Awesome place! Camping, cottages, and dorm rooms. Super accommodating staff, and helpful! Clean rooms, kitchen facilities, books, playpark for kids, interesting area. Close to the Newgrange monument, Battle of the Boyne, Slane Castle and distillery. Not far from Drogheda and all the major shops and attractions. Bettystown and Laytown has the best beach, cool shops, pubs etc and is about 25 minutes away. Slane farm hostel is my go-to place when going to Dublin Airport which is only 40 minutes away.

We were here last week for my dads burial in Slane. We rented 3 cottages and the whole experience was way beyond our expectations. I was a little worried when I saw the word “hostel” but these cottages were perfect! Gemma was an outstanding communicator and host. I will certainly share this place with any friends visiting and will return for another stay in the future.

Fabulous stay with family for 4 days. Fantastic hosts who were so kind & helpful. Safe, comfortable rooms with everything you need to self-cater. Close enough to Dublin Airport for quick pickups/dropoffs is an extra bonus. Highly recommend.

The hosts were amazing. We arrived a week early by accident and they managed to give us a room although they were busy Gemma was amazing giving us a lift into the town and picking us up when we could not get a taxi. Accomodation is basic but good for touring the area.

Great place. Gordon is a great host. Perfect place for going with a campervan or tent. Showers, toilets and a small kitchen with all you need (cooker, kettle, microwave, fridge). I strongly recommend this place. Thanks folks.

Incredible venue and facilities, host was amazing too. Recently here for a team building weekend and it was an incredible time. We couldn’t have asked for a better location or host. Highly reccomend.

Friendly welcome. Has a campers kitchen which exceeded expectations. And has hens whose eggs can be had for breakfast.

Gemma was absolutely amazing. Looked after a group of us very well and was very accommodating. I would highly recommend the place!

Owner seems nice and there's a camp kitchen with microwaves and a kettle which is useful. However the toilet and shower doors don't fit the openings properly leaving gaps around the edges and we had no hot water while we were there. Disappointing.

Lovely, relaxing spot. Hosts are so friendly and accommodating. It's like a home away from home. High recommended! 5 stars

Basic camp site but meets all needs. Cheap and cheerful. The staff are very friendly which really adds to the place. Handy location for site seeing

We had an absolutely lovely time! The cottage we were in was cute and comfortable and had everything we'd need. We're already talking about coming back next year!

Our 6-day stay in Slane Farm hostel and cottages is about to end tomorrow. We are here with a school group of over 50 people and the whole experience is well above our expectations. Gemma and Gordon are such helpful, friendly and welcoming hosts! I will be definitely coming back with my groups as this place is just fanstastic - neat, tidy, close to nature, kitchen is well-equipped, all rooms are comfortable and ideal to relax after a tiring day. Thank you Gemma and Gordon for having us! Will definitely come back soon! Monika

We were camping there. Clean and tidy camping. Toilets, showers, waste facilities and even small kitchen with basic equipment provided.

Not clean, internet didn't work, called it a cottage but was more like a motel room,no soap or shampoo, no breakfast, could only find fast food pizza to eat in town. I do not recommend.

*This review is specifically related to the camping (camper van) facilities for the Slane concert in 2019* The facilities were NOT as advertised - it was basically an empty field. 24/7 Security - a teenager at the gate On-site catering - did not exist Showers - did not exist Toilets - a few portaloos at one corner of the field. Of very little use at night as there was only a single lighting pole for the entire area, leaving the majority in total darkness. Overall, was paying more for much worse conditions than were available at another campsite just down the road. A complete rip-off.

(Translated by Google) My review refers only to the campsite. The place would be very nice but bathrooms and showers are practically unusable and the kitchen is very dirty. The price is very high for what it offers. (Original) La mia recensione è riferita solo al campeggio. Il posto sarebbe molto carine ma bagni e docce sono praticamente inagibili e la cucina molto sporca. Il prezzo è altissimo per quello che offre.

We have stayed only one night in the cottage. It was a very good cottage. It is spacious, well equipped, the shower is very strong. The host is very helpful to advise us the dinner places.... there is also an donkey and a little playground for kids! We like it! And it’s is just 3 min drive to city centre and 1 min drive to the slane castle...

Friendly welcome on arrival, but the camping facilities could be improved: hot water and soap to be provided in the toilets and the kitchen units to be upgraded and cleaned.

(Translated by Google) We stayed in the hostel, and the price is of course relatively cheap, but in our shower the mold grew - you could not ventilate the bathroom. In the playroom it smelled bad, in the kitchen it was not so clean: the toaster has glued to grease, the cupboards were not wiped out for a long time. For German conditions almost a bit disgusting.

Awesome gig. Available food for slane was event poor and over priced. Slane farm hostel should try and have a better variety for such a large attendance
