Excellent service and great food. We came here on a weekday with a party of 25 on a field trip after visiting the aquarium. We did not call ahead as we had to change to this restaurant due to a student's food allergy. All 25 of us were served efficiently and without any mistakes to our orders. Food was fresh for each person. Our field trip included two classes of students woth special needs and the cashier was patient with them as they ordered. I was so impressed with the staff and service we received considering our situation. Thank you for making us feel welcomed and for your amazing service!

Excellent casual burger place in Newport, about a block from the Levee. One of the best burgers in NKY/Cincinnati area. Fries are fresh-cut like 5 guys or Penn Station. All the burgers are 10/10. Gyros are great too. Pictured is the Rockefeller burger with bleu cheese, onion straws, and mango chutney- great balance of flavors.

We have eaten at Mad Mike's for years, and the food is always consistent. I LOVE their chicken burgers(I get the Raging Rooster)-it is one of my favorite sandwiches from anywhere! My husband gets a burger of some kind and has always enjoyed his food also. The prices are also very reasonable, especially in this location near the Levy.

After going through Newport Aquarium and walking back to the parking lot where our car was parked we were really hungry and stopped here for lunch. We had never been here before and we had an awesome experience. The burgers were so delicious and there’s nothing like fresh cut fries. My son also got the chicken tenders and fries and really enjoyed them. The chocolate chip cookie shake was to die for!! This may just be a place we make special trips to from time to time here in the future for sure. My 6 year old son made friends with the staff who were all so friendly.

Small building, more like a hole in the wall which I like because it's a dying atmosphere. The service was unfriendly but fast so that being the case, I'm not complaining and the food was f*cking great including portion sizes.

Honestly, for me this place was a 5, but I'm all about the greasy burger, salty fries, and medium quality milkshakes. My dining companions' opinions will bring the overall rating to a 4. You go in, order at the counter, and seat yourself. There are mostly 4 tops. The outdoor seating could seat about 8 if you were close skinny friends. 🤔 The ingredients are not farm to table and the milkshakes are just ok. But this place is a solid choice for a giant burgers and bar foods and a super casual vibe. They do not have a gluten free fryer, but they do have gluten free buns. Bathrooms 🚻 and are reasonably clean. Looked like it could accommodate a wheelchair.

I wish I could give them a higher rating overall, but the food was so bad. I ordered bone-in chicken wings, a BLT, and motzi sticks. Upon first walking in, my shoes were stuck to the floor. It was that sticky. Standing in line only got worse, and when I tried to go to the counter to order, I literally came outta my shoe. I should have just left then, but the rating on here was pretty good for them, so I stayed. I ordered my food and waited. And waited. And waited. It took 47 minutes for them to make my food. Normally, I'd be okay with that cause I feel like my food will be fresh and hot. That was not the case here. The motzi sticks were cold. The BLT was wrapped in foil and soggy. The wings were okay, although they were soggy. I'm not sure what took the staff so long to make my food, but it definitely wasn't so they could cook it. I believe the cook said the lady never brought them my ticket. The cooks were very nice. Offered me a loaded French fry, which I gave to the people standing outside begging for money. They also gave me an extra order of boneless wings. Again, the staff was all friendly. The lady at the register was great. I did get an apology for the really long wait. The food was definitely not worth the wait, though.

First time here before the Cake concert at MegaCorp Pavillion and we were blown away by their outstanding burgers which were superior to In-N-Out in Southern California. Mike's Burgers were thick and juicy, tasted fresh and the buns were soft and chewy. We liked the fries too. Everything is prepared while you wait. Only drawback was the Women's Restroom door lock was broken and an unsuspecting woman accidentally walked into the restroom while another woman was doing her business. Yikes. Otherwise, a great dinner experience and we'll be back.

Awesome food. Highly recommend the Goliath and the Big-tex. The cheesey bacon ranch fries were on point as well. My wife has scheduled our next meal already lol

Absolutely delicious!!!!! I highly recommend you stop in for a burger. Everything cooked fresh when you order and excellent service. Buns are toasted to perfection and just so good. Definitely check this place out!

The burger was exactly what I was looking for. I like that they give you two Patties and was perfectly cooked. Would definitely come back and enjoy another burger. Fries were really good too. Atmosphere was really nice and enjoyed how fast I got my burger.

Awesome place for an awesome burger! The fries and onion rings are excellent too! If you have room get one of the milkshakes...fabulous. It's a super casual atmosphere and they do offer patio seating. If you love burgers this is a MUST try. Go super hungry though!

Decided to visit after reading the high reviews. Was a bit skeptical at first because the place was empty when I walked in but the food turned out to be fantastic and servers were friendly. Got the Goliath (a huge burger with grilled cheeses for buns), soda, and a slice of cheesecake and it only came up to about $16.

Good burgers but service is poor when they’re busy. We visited on a Saturday afternoon shortly after lunch hour. It was packed with people. After waiting 45 minutes for our food, we noticed other people who came in long after us get their food before us. It was frustrating. When we finally got the food it was good, but not worth the wait.

Stopped in with the kids, excellent service. They had been slow all day so had started putting up chairs but they were still able to accommodate us and others that came in after. I ordered the Rockefeller burger (great), onion rings (crispy and not over battered-good) wife had a burger and French fries, both were excellent and all the food came out quickly. Kids had a hotdog and some of our fries. My son had a milkshake and that was VERY good. I feel it is a lot better burger and milkshake than your national burger chains. Definitely worth stopping in. If your concerned over a restaurant being open, it’s easy to call and confirm they are open for business. With all the staffing issues everywhere all businesses are struggling.

It’s simply the very best burgers on the planet. The Rockefeller burger is something that you owe it to yourself as a human being to try. The fries are the best too.

Average place. Food was pretty quick, staff were okay. Burger Pattie’s were way over done, to the point of being tough. Bun was cool to the touch, almost as if it had been refrigerated and not allowed to warm up, and the cheese never melted. The onion straws were also over done to the point of being unrecognizable, more like the crunchies in the bottom of a frying basket. The barbecue sauce was the only thing that had much flavor and it was all that you could taste. Maybe it was just an off day! I won’t say that I wouldn’t try again if I was back in Newport around lunch time, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to try again.

Maybe I had too much expectations for this place, but the Goliath “burger” was more like a sandwich that has this awful BBQ sauce on it that ruined the whole meal. And the fries were the worst I’ve ever had — raw and soaked in oil — pretty much inedible. Honestly, it was a crime to call them fries at all. My parter got the “outlaw” which was a more traditional cheeseburger and not bad, but nothing special. Maybe it was an off night, cause there is no way a place like this could stay open with food like this.

The burgers are literally in the top 5 best burgers I've ever eaten! Juicy and flavorful with fresh ingredients. My son got the famous Goliath burger and it was magnificent! The fries were freshly cut and the service was excellent. Mad Mike's gets an easy 5 star rating!

Stopped for lunch despite the sign saying “closed” on Tuesdays. Burger was very good and staff was nice. Would of preferred the burger patty to be thicker instead of smashed.
