Great place to visit during the winter. Preferably late winter. You'll see all sorts of birds at all times. We camped near here overnight. Remember to take a lot of firewood and clean up after yourself!

I really enjoyed coming out here. Feels a bit like being in the Kgalagadi. The only thing I didn't enjoy is the people picnicking by the expo 2020 lake blasting their music. When you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city the last thing you want is blasting music. It will also scare the animals, which is part of the reason to come visit in the first place.

A must visit place. Located in Dubai it is a conservation reserve. Can find gazelles, oryx, rabbits. Mostly it is after sunset that we can spot lot of gazelles and oryx near the expo lake area.

Beautiful nature conservation area with several lakes. Many bird species and plenty of space. Better enjoyed during winter season.

This place should not be called a conservation reserve but a tourist attraction. Humans are really the worst when it comes to behaving in natural areas. There is litter, people driving like crazy, camping where they shouldnโ€™t, with dogs off leash. Stray cats have introduced now in the lakes area, so that is it for the birds! This place is pleasant for humans but it is not a conservation area. And all this water... for what? A couple of grey flamingos and 3 ducks! Wrong!

The best place to learn about Bedouin culture or Emarati cuisine. If you never ride a camel then this the place. The 30 minutes ride through the dunes of Al Marmoom Conservation was amazing. The local guides have all the time in the world to tell you stories about old times of hunting or cooking. We learned how the stars guided the caravans in the desert or fishing ships and many other things. Special thanks to our local guide Ali, Amjid and the stars master Eddie.

Al Marmoom Nature Reserve in Dubai is a wonderful example of how artificial irrigation can wrest ecologically valuable habitat for plants and animals from the desert. Home to oryx, gazelle and many species of birds, the reserve is a must for any nature lover visiting Dubai. This valuable investment in nature has also a great benefit to the people.

Well set and maintained place. Beautifully set, a must for those who enjoy nature and pleasant water front ambience. Good for camping too. Not sure of pets being allowed in. 4x4 is not required to reach this place, the approach road is good. Can get crowded during holidays or weekends. Parking is not an issue.

Beautiful area for bird watchers. You can visit here to spend a quite evening away from city and experience wild life. You don't require a 4x4 to visit the area.

The first unfenced nature conservation area in UAE, covering 10% of Dubai emirate area and featuring Quadra (and several other man-made) lakes, bird observation and sunrise & sunset observation decks, a 84 km- long cycling track and star gazing platforms. Its off-road part is easily accessible by all cars. If youโ€™re a lover of nature, outdoors activities or picnicing you can easily spend a few happy hours here.

GPS GIVES WRONG LOCATION. When arriving, ensure youโ€™re going towards the gas station - thatโ€™s where itโ€™s located.
