Awesome place to stay. We had 3 nights while visiting the Dubbo Zoo and the Gaol. Such a good alternative to staying in a caravan park! Sites are very spread out, and everything is so clean and tidy. The metalwork on the farm is impressive, and the owner Mark is just finishing making a Mountain biking track which goes for about 4km - great way to see the property. It's about 25 min to the zoo which was fine. Such a relaxing place to stay - very safe and very welcoming.

This place is amazing. Spacious and well maintained Camp sites and 1000's of old relics to look at to keep you entertained. There are cabins for those not wanting to camp, you can even book a swag to try your hand at camping. Marks creations are fantastic, this is what makes this place one of a kind, you can see his passion in every corner of the place. But what stands out above and beyond is Mark's hospitality, making you feel at home. He loves a yarn and explaining all his relics to you over a beer or two from his on site bar. This place has it all, we will definitely return.

This place is fascinating with so much old memorabilia used creatively by the friendly owner Mark. The serenity and peacefulness of the property is tangible. Showers are great and situated in an old grain silo. Great place to ride gravel bikes to Guerie and back. Awesome rainwater to drink too. Beautiful place.

On our trip we wanted to stay in places that were different and this place is just that...absolutely fantastic! The views are stunning, Mark is a great host and he has done a fabulous job here. Very spacious and you won't find your neighbour 1 inch away from you. Our son went catching yabbies with Marks son the good ole way. Facilities are clean, tidy and made to look rustic. We initially was staying for two nights and have stayed four! This place is a MUST!

We chose Billy O's Bush Retreat because there was a lot to look at for the boys and we thought it would provide entertainment without much effort on our behalf. Mark the owner was lovely and had built it all himself. We had booked the cottage but got upgraded to the 'Meet House' when we got there. It was much bigger and had a commercial kitchen inside, two toilets and was close to the main communal area that contained all of the old cars and curios that the kids loved exploring. Mark will be adding in shower screens very soon but while we were there, hubby and I showered in the communal showers and we sponge washed the kids. If you want an internal shower and you're going soon, the cottage is what you want. Bear in mind however, that it has a microwave and sink inside and a BBQ outside. It also has a pretty cute deck overlooking the bush out the back. Mark kindly offered to take us spotlighting on the second night. It was short and sweet due to the drizzle but we saw lots of rabbits which the kids also loved. When it's not raining, there is a fully licensed bar on premises and he lights a big fire for everyone. There is also a pool in summer. It was clean and we would definitely recommend it to a family whether you are caravanning or driving.

From sunrise to sunset this place was perfect for unwinding. The Cabins had a secluded feel but if you wanted to mingle with other campers you could join in on the bonfire, or have a chat with the wonderful host over a beer at the bar. Tricky the dog 🐕 always happy for a pat...Definitely be back...thanks to host Mark for welcoming us 😀

As a family of five, we loved our stay here! The host Mark was friendly, helpful and great for a chat by the campfire. The campsite was very well maintained, with clean, accessible amenities. The retreat was set apart by its atmosphere, with Mark’s amazing upcycled metalwork creations contributing to the gorgeous country feel. It was overall an amazing stay and we would love to visit again!

Mark was a wonderful host! The entire grounds were immaculate with a generous appointment of interesting Australian bush/farm parafanalia. We stayed in a huge cabin which had beautiful textured flooring. It had an a/c which didn't need to be turned on. The cabin was really well insulated. The commercial kitchen was the icing on the cake, as I love to cook. A toasty outdoor fire was set up by Mark each evening, which encouraged adults and kids to gather round and toast marshmallows and make smores. I would thoroughly recommend you visit Billy Os🥰

Stayed 2 nights. Wish we had longer. Stars are amazing. Love the peace and quiet. Mark's collection of Australiana and collectibles was icing on the cake. Will definitely be back 🙂

An awesome place to visit on your way to western plains in NSW. Perfectly located in between Wellington and Dubbo. Just 20 minutes drive to Dubbo if you are heading from Sydney side. Mark (the host) is an amazing person and hisTricky a fantastic dog too , Mark has put into a lot of effort and creativity in presenting his passion into a work of art for all of us to enjoy. The place is full of relics collected and placed around the property for the visitors to enjoy and appreciate. It has a communal kitchen, swimming pool made out of a steel water tank with a shower head built out of a upcycled farm utensils. Enjoyed every bit of it. Went for a Yabby race with Mark and other guests in the pond in the property. Enjoyed the sunrise and sunset with uninterrupted panoramic views. Never seen so many stars in the clear sky in a really long long time. Can't thank Mark enough for his service provided. Will visit again very soon to experience more . THANK YOU MARK.

We had a wonderful start to our cycling trip on the Central West bike trail here ! Mark has single handedly created a unique place which many would enjoy. Our accommodation was really comfortable and there were very generous provisions for self catering. I'd highly recommend Billy O Bush, especially suited to larger groups. Thanks so much Mark !
