I'll
put
the
TL;DR
ahead
of
my
full
thoughts
on
the
Carlingford
House
for
the
sake
of
brevity:
this
is
your
best
possible
option
for
a
stay
in
Carlingford.
Now,
onto
the
specifics.
The
hosts,
Peter
and
Irene,
are
beyond
courteous.
They
took
a
personal
interest
in
my
girlfriend
and
my
stay,
offered
us
recommendations
on
walks
to
take,
even
arranged
lifts
for
us
into
adjacent
towns
with
other
guests.
It
was
courtesy
beyond
what
we
ever
would
have
expected.
The
lodgings
themselves
are
gorgeous.
The
house,
as
we
understand
it,
has
been
in
Peter's
family
for
generations.
It
is
beautiful
(see
attached
pictures)
and
our
room
was
huge,
impeccably
clean,
and
aesthetically
excellent.
There
is
also
a
reading
room
(with
a
lovely
little
library,
bring
a
book
to
swap),
and
a
few
areas
in
front
of
the
property
to
sit
and
read,
or
enjoy
the
sunshine,
if
you
manage
to
get
some.
Finally,
the
breakfast.
Breakfast
at
the
Carlingford
House
was
my
favorite
part
of
my
stay
in
our
entire
Ireland
trip.
Between
the
french
pressed
coffee,
the
quality
of
the
food,
and
the
hosts
check-in
on
our
plans
for
the
day,
each
morning
was
a
lovely
jumping-off
point
for
another
gorgeous
day
in
Carlingford.
Also,
there
was
a
soundtrack
of
string
quartet
covers
of
music
from
movies
playing
throughout.
Really
lovely.
In
closing,
I
can't
recommend
this
place
enough.
Margo
and
I
were
very
taken
with
Carlingford,
and
will
surely
be
contacting
Irene
and
Peter
upon
our
return.
