Wow for this please five stars are not enough. I was alone and I sit next to the bar talking a bit with the barman and he was really kind and nice to offer me exactly what I needed and the food that I heard was really really delicious. Prices were OK and the location is amazing. This arches that you can see gives you that old atmosphere like in old centuries! I would love to come back and stay with friends or for a first tinder match

Food is delicious, the staff is very kind, the restaurant is very classy, U really get a feel how it was to be in a bank. I would recommend that you try the Irish coffee. If you're into whiskey. 5/5 would go again.

Very good place in the city center. The menu has very rich list of alcohol beverages and cocktails. Specially number of irish whiskeys is impressive The premise used to be an old bank office. The bank safes are even still there. Impressive ambiance.

Superb. Gorgeous vintage restaurant that was an elegant banking hall with high ceilings and a round mezzanine floor. We had their signature fish and chips and mussels. The live piano playing is a bonus. One of the best in Dublin

Opulent surroundings and a lot of history which is told in the leaflets on each table. There are original bank safes on the way to the toilet and busts of the 7 authors of the declaration in 1916. The prices are reasonable. 6 euros for soup and bread. 12 euros for a good Old Fashioned cocktail

Beautiful place, very nice and authentic! They keep a lot of things from the original bank, like the safes, so that’s really cool. Food was good but not the best on Dublin, we went on a week day for lunch, so they have plenty of tables available!

Be sure to check out the vaults and safes adjacent to the toilets. Amazing interiors and great tile floor in the entry. Pint was fab. Food was great. Super great pick for dinner.

Dining in the past ! What fantastic history in this pub. The service is fantastic and professional you are well taken care of. The food is served fresh and excellent presentation. The place is just rich in history all over and every corner has a story to tell. The toilets are in the original bank vault. Fantastic experience all together.

Absolutely amazing experience! 🦪🥩🐟 We enjoyed the atmosphere and interior here.. You can find something interesting in every corner of the dining room. This place really exceeded expectations. Everything was full of flavor and surprised us in the best way possible. All the food was just perfect and absolutely delicious. Portions were generous. The wait staff are fast and very friendly. Will surely recommend to anyone I know will be going to Dublin.

Went here twice during my trip to Dublin. The venue is the real highlight - absolutely gorgeous building and interior. Overall, I'd say they have great drinks and above average food. The seafood chowder was incredible. The fish and chips were fine, but nothing to write home about. The Flirtini and the Bank 75 drinks were great. Service was really good the first time (sat at the bar) and average the second time. I'd come back for sure.

Had a pretty solid lunch. Oysters were grand; the cod in a curry cream was unbelievable (there’s a surprising amount of mussels hiding under the fish); and the crumble was a great finish. The space is amazing, and makes me want to come again with a group.

Walking in The Bank on College Green is like walking into history. The amazing beauty of the building and the restaurant is breath taking. However, the warmth of the people serving here surpasses the amazing ambience. Last but not the least, the food was heavenly. A must visit for any one visiting Dublin.

Glorious bar with impeccable service. Cocktails are delicious. Make sure you check out the underground "safes" to appreciate the former life of this building before it became a bar. Came here twice during our stay in Dublin and would certainly revisit next time.

Good fish and chips, sandwiches available on the lunch menu. Staff is attentive but they can get busy during the afternoon/peak hours. The interior is really pretty and looks good for pictures. Plenty of seating available. Reserving beforehand is also recommended even though they take walk ins.

Genuine Sheppards pie and the oyster curry were top of the list during our dinning experience. Building is well cared for, clean, upscale. Staff were friendly, talkative, professional, helpful on local questions. Dessert was a fudge brownie. Delicious, well executed. Bravo!

We really enjoyed the taste of our food and drinks. We ordered soup of the day and Shepherds Pie. The waiters were very nice. I’m not sure if we’re foolish or what. But both of us burned our mouths tasting both dishes. The soup and pie were insanely hot. We’re not sure if they were left under a heat lamp too long or what. This hasn’t happened in weeks of traveling in Europe. And I understand it could be our fault? Just wild to have it happen to both of us on separate dishes. Now I’m burned

The Bank was referred to us by local friends and it surely did not disappoint. The old building has been restored to wow visitors, especially as it adorned seasonal Christmas decorations. We were celebrating a special night and the server made us feel so cared for with special attention to our seating, orders and “happy honeymoon” dessert. I recommend to anyone who is looking for an upper scale night among the temple bar pubs to enjoy a dinner at the Bank.

Great steak, cooked to perfection at medium rare. The pannacotta stands out as a delectable dessert, adding a sweet finale to the meal ! Furthermore, the ambiance of the restaurant is both inviting and elegant. Overall great dining experience!

I went to the restaurant for a dinner and the atmosphere was really nice The most important thing for me was how all staff were good and had attention to details. The food is tasty and the menu is short and I love that, make easier to choose.

I have wanted to try this restaurant for some time. Today, we spent the day around Dublin after our flight arrived, so we booked a table. The building is gorgeous with a historical story. Leaflets are left at the table to explain the history. My husband had the Spaghetti Alfredo as an appetizer, followed by fish & chips. He enjoyed the Spaghetti Alfredo very much. He found the fried fish (hake) a bit mushy, not as firm a white fish as he is accustomed to with fish & chips. I had Seafood Tagliatelle, all the shell seafood we small but tasty and the hake was a bit mushy, again not as firm a white fish as I would expect, like cod or haddock. We sat in the mezzanine, which was a nice way to enjoy the experience. The server was busy with quite a few tables in that area, but we never felt ignored. The gentleman playing the piano added to the atmosphere. We would go again if the opportunity presented.

What a stunning restaurant when I walked in! I did not really reading much of its history, but it is very unique and beautiful definitely a place worth to visit. Everything is perfect for me - the atmosphere, the food (apple berry crumbles pie with vanilla ice cream is so delicious!) and the drinks! Totally worth the dining experience even just grab a drink and sit at the bar with your friends! Love to come back again if I'll visit Dublin next time :)

The food was up to the highest standard, very tasty and was quick enough. The atmosphere of this place is charming. However, the set is was bad. One waitress upstairs and no attention at all. We’ve been waiting for long time to order food and then desserts. No check back either. I hope that their services is better other days and still would like to come back for the food.

I can't even lie, the food here was great. I was very tempted to out a 4 star rating on this because my mom ordered a medium well steak, and it was barely medium when she cut into it. The seasoning, gravy, and fries were all good, which somewhat made up for her. I got the burger and absolutely loved it, which I think I put a photo of. The fries are crispy and salty, just how I like it, and the mussels have some good flavor too them. I don't even like mussels that much but they were good. Service was also great, and they out our shopping bags in a certain room, since it's a nice place that doesn't need bags to be all around. Considering the environment and decor, it's very affordable for what you expect. Overall a great experience, I recommend eating here, but maybe reconsider the sirloin steak.

So the hostess was very nice and suggested we wait at the bar. Interestingly enough we just ordered a water and a ginger ale at the bar. As we were just very warm and needed something to quench our thirst. The bartender never returned with our drinks. Even as we sat down he never gave us our order. Food was good though.

I was served immediately and affectionately by the various waiters and waitresses; the recommendations were on point and the local beer was delightful. The burger was truly special, though I flattened it to be able to take a bite in my photo. They advertise what the locals would call chips as fries, so this is clearly catering to tourists; I had malt vinegar and they brought it to me in a cute little crystal container. All in all, delightful.

Let me start with we came on a Friday night, the hostess was amazing she came to find us after we sat at the bar because we arrived early. The service was really good. I ordered the angus burger and to be honest it was a bit dry with undercooked bacon. I want crisp bacon, maybe my fault for not requesting. My friend ordered the sweet potato Wellington since he is vegetarian. He kept raving that it was delicious. The peppercorn sauce was really good, we ordered it with a side of fries, tasty. The drinks were good. The food came quickly and it was busy. Everybody is busybodies

One of the must have on your list when in Dublin. The architecture and artistic decoration makes it feel like having dinner in a museum. Being a bank previously makes the story way more interesting. The service was excellent, the staff made us feel so good that we stayed longer and had to change tables cause we invited more friends to join. Drinks and food are both excellent And if that was not enough the chef accomodated one of our guests with a special salad due to his food allergies.

Beautiful building! Really cool ambiance and great music playing (not live when we were there, just a nice soundtrack). Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Burgers were huge and very good. Seafood chowder was great. Fish platter was a little bland but still enjoyable. Steak was delicious. Service was great and actually very fast! Overall a great meal and experience. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent meal. I local cab driver recommended it so I gave it a shot. The oysters were fresh and a healthy size. The seafood soup had very sizable chunks of meat and could fill you up if your only moderately hungry. And the grilled pork chop was definitely a good size. Had a great sear on it and was very well seasoned. I did find it a tad dry though. Over all it was a great meal

Situated in the heartland of Dublin, it looked almost too grand to enter. We thought it was a tourist trap, but were we nicely surprised. Baroque architecture, golden decorations, classy atmosphere. The food was top notch, the service was warm and friendly. Our jaws dropped when we saw the bill. We couldn’t believe how moderately priced it was. They could easily doubled the price and we wouldn’t have complained. Highly recommend! We tried: 5*Roasted Fillet of Cod- cod with Roaring Bay Mussels, New Baby Potatoes, té Samphire L Grapes in a Light Curry Broth: cod and mussels were very tender - as a matter of fact, the best and tenderest mussels I have ever had. Potatoes were good and to add grapes was a brilliant idea, very innovative. 5*Slow Braised Beef & Guinness Pie, Served with Roasted Duck and Fat Potatoes: every bite of the beef was tender. It was very well prepared and cooked. Perfect!

What a spot!! I've drank in The Bank many times, but this is the first time eating. We booked a large table on the balcony area above the bar, I would suggest you try get a table in this space. Walking in it's the roof that draws the eye. The ceiling is quadruple height, with a beautifully restored stain glass light well. The menu is simple enough, steaks, burgers, pasta and seafood. Our group pretty much covered most on the menu, and the food was excellent. What stood out the most was the service. The lady who served us was excellent, highly efficient and very friendly - 10/10. The music and atmosphere were great, can't wait to go back.

Recommended by a friend from Ireland, and it was spot on. Great food inside a very neat setting. Lots of the original architecture was left in place, done very well. Food was amazing (seriously), staff were great and the prices weren’t that bad at all for what you got.

This is one of the few places I will fly out to in the morning from Valencia for lunch and fly back in the evening. I have been going to the Bank over the years for business meetings and with family for well over a decade, especially once they have their Christmas decorations up. I have yet to be disappointed with the food, and the waiters are top notch. Stellar price/quality ratio, and one of a kind environs. Reservations highly recommended or you'll be in the line that snakes around the outside. Thank you Verónica for making our most recent family holiday luncheon special, we look forward to come back again (and again, and again). Andrew

One of my favourite places to take family who are visiting us in Dublin. Friendly staff, good service and tasty food. They do a great breakfast, lunch and dinner. They pour a good pint of Guinness. The decor is unique and something special for Dublin.

First stop we made when visiting Dublin. I was nervous about sitting inside someplace to eat and drink but they were diligent about checking vaccination certs, the host even sat us in a back corner since I was nervous. I had the Flirtini which was delicious. The seafood chowder was also amazing. Can't recommend enough <3

I had such a great meal! The location is amazing and so is the food. I got the 1/2 chicken and veggies with gravy and stuffing which was delicious! My partner had the burger, fabulous meal. Even if they were very busy because of the all ireland final the staff was still very nice and fast. This place is a little gem, worth going for the atmosphere and obviously their food.

Third time in Dublin but first time going to The Bank on College Green and so glad I did! It's an absolutely stunning historic space complete with great food, service and even a pianist. Will definitely be back on future visits!

  • 4/5 Annie L. 2 years ago on Google
Splendid ambience that did not disappoint. For the overall restaurant experience, it was good food at fair prices. The monkfish was a fresh catch of the day, beautifully presented. Beetroot salad was on the small side (slightly underwhelming but that is expected of most restaurants serving appetiser salads). High recommend trying the ice cream for dessert — creamy perfection!

  • 5/5 Luiz Alberto S. 2 years ago on Google
A splendid experience: an amazing building, a magnificent ambience, perfect dishes for a very reasonable price and the friendly, funny and adorable waitress Veronica serving on the upper floor. Of course we’ll be back there.

We had a 24 hour layover in Dublin last week and happened to walk past the Bank on College Green at the perfect time for an early dinner. After being asked to show our vaccination certificates, we chose a corner table isolated by plexiglass screens, where we could safely take in the beauty of this stately old building. A pianist played Bill Withers and Nina Simone as I enjoyed crisp fish and chips, washed down with a Guinness. Perfect!
