The chef’s table is the experience of a lifetime; you get to interact with the chefs and observe the action like a kid in a candy store. If you love cooking and fine dining, go for the chef’s table - you’ll experience the bustle and heat of the kitchen with extra attention put on your experience. The food is divine as expected, and the service extremely happy, energetic and friendly.

So... where to begin. I visited Chapter One in August with a friend. I was prepared to blow my budget, I just knew it was gonna be pricey. But, all I can say is that, if you love food, and appreciate the art that food can be, it was,and is, worth every penny. We went for the tasting menu and wine pairing because why the hell not. Its not an experience you can do every day. To say our minds were blown and tastebuds truly satisfied would be an understatement. Wines were paired perfectly, the staff were attentive and funny, not overly stuffy which you may expect from such a fine place. And the food! Well the lobster dish was top class, it came with this insane lobster bisque and risotto...insane. we also got 3 desserts and the lavender ice cream with crystallised fennel was so unique and surprisingly delish. I could go on but I won't. If you have a good budget, go here for a celebration or go here if you appreciate amazing fine food and excellent service. Give them another star 🌟

Warmly greeted. Great corner, window table. Aperitif/cocktail arrived promptly. We choose the tasting menu and decided against the wine pairing, instead opting to begin with an Alsace. Excellent wine selection. Food started coming, excellent presentation. Go for the signature Irish coffee to round off your meal. Try the soufflé if available too. For me it's all about the story and passion for the food being served. I enjoy the experience of the menu curation and service (origin, story, creation, interest). I also like to be challenged or experience something new in it's telling. That said, it was very good. We later received our menu by email on request. I should have taken a copy of the lunch menu while I was there, as I like to get signatures, (on our tasting menu) as our keepsake. It's the love and attention to the little things that impress me.

When I last ate here three years ago, it was the best meal and dining experience I'd ever had. This week, it's certainly been topped. You can taste the extra Michelin star. Photos can't do it justice. It's worth booking months in advance, and not just for an occasion, but as an occasion of its own.

To say this was an experience was putting it mildly. I’d eaten in “old” Chapter One and loved it, but new Chapter One is something else. What an incredible culinary treat. You can see the care, attention to detail and creativity that has gone into this menu. Mikael and his team have done wonders and deserve every bit of those 2 Michelin Stars. Highly commendable to both Declan and John. We adored every minute,

Very strong French base with Asian touch. Impeccable service and good cocktails. The atmosphere is nice and also offers some private dining experiences. Correct price quality ratio considering the 2 stars. Stellar Amuse-bouche. Limited and expensive wine list as a downside.

Had the most perfect meal! From the mouth watering snacks like the beef tartare and the cheese puff and then the main scallop and lobster, every course was a dream! The service team were so friendly, helpful and so knowledgeable about each dish, I was so impressed! Honestly will be daydreaming about that truffle sauce with the Anjou pigeon! Fully recommend!

Beautiful experience from start to finish. Went with a voucher for a special occasion for lunch. The food was superb as you’d probably expect but the service and relaxed experience and atmosphere really surprised me. Make sure you get an Irish coffee afterwards - they make it at the table. Yes you can spend a lot of money on wine but you don’t have to in order to have a world class experience

Fantastic experience. Took my folks for an 80th birthday and as my mother squinted to read the menu after balking at the idea of a QR code menu, a member of staff appeared with a selection of reading glasses. Problem solved. Incredible food and down to earth workers. I can't speak highly enough of the place.

Lunch, their first since re-opening after lockdown, was simply sublime under the hands of Mickael Viljanen and the assured team at Chapter One. Particular high points were the steamed Gouda soufflé and the cheese plate. Photos are of our petit fours.

One of the few two michellin star restaurants in Dublin. The staff are top-notch and very elegant. Despite being sceptic at the beginning and being a vegetarian, was quite blown away by what I experienced. High attention to detail and wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Had the pleasure of visiting for the second time last Saturday. After looking forward to our booking for a number of weeks our high expectations were exceeded. The tasting menu was absolutely faultless from the canapés to the petit fours. If I could have the foie gras starter for every single meal from now on without inevitably developing gout in my mid-30’s I would. The service was also spectacular. We were mainly served by the wonderful Olmo who even remembered us from our previous visit last year (hopefully for a good reason). Already planning our return visit.

It was my first time at this restaurant, and I actually flew in from America to surprise my sister for her birthday. The staff could not have been more accommodating to make the surprise happen. They were truly magnificent all the staff. I was lucky enough to enjoy a couple of cocktails before my sister arrived, and they hit me down the back bar, which is a delightful space, and the cocktails were excellent and I surprised my sister and family. The meal that followed was truly exceptional. we did the nine course tasting menu. I’ve eaten at a number of Michelin star restaurants throughout my life, thankfully are luckily, and chapter 1 is probably the best I’ve been to. The food is on a different level and I had heard beforehand that some people had left hungry and that the courses weren’t that big but by the end of dinner I was stuffed and I could barely finish the dessert. If you’re truly looking for a culinary experience and to treat yourself, I could think of nowhere better in Ireland to go.
