Took 1hour and 10 min to have our food on our table and the pub wasn't even busy. 30 min after we ordered dinner I asked the waiter at the bar about our order, he said it would take another 10 min. After 1hour, I told them if dinner wasn't ready we were leaving. The manager just said: "food is coming, we have a lot of orders". He didn't even apologies. We got our food 10 min after. An avocado sandwich with a tiny bit of avocado (check picture) and a frozen potato salad. I do not recommend this place.

(Translated by Google) We had breakfast at O'Neills. The service was miserable, the drinks were only brought when we finished eating. It was so cold in the restaurant that we ate with winter jackets. The food (except for the scrambled eggs) was ok for the price.

Loved this bar, stayed for a couple of pints they were that good. Amazing selection of drinks and a cracking pint of Guinness. Lots of TV’s showing live sports, football was muted whilst we were there which I like. Busy joint, serve great looking food too, will be back to try their food soon.

Lovely Traditional Irish Pub. They had a variety of stouts, ales, lagers and ciders! The space is huge with beautiful traditional feels and is very cosy! Loved it here!

(BREAKFAST REVIEW) Stumbled into here after a night out looking for food. The place has a lot of character, and in the morning when it's quiet you get to appreciate the atmosphere. Awesome people, too :)

We used to love going there for carvery and drinks but since Covid we don't enjoy it anymore. They got rid of all their dinner menu and now they're only basically doing sandwiches. They also charge before they even bring you your food which we don't think it is acceptable. We won't be returning for now.

My favourite pub in Dublin! It's a must see, eat and drink of course. There is a live authentic music every night and the food is more than delicious. I can't wait to visit Dublin again to eat there again - it's that good.

I had a Guinness stew, was very tasty, not sure if that's how it comes but was very watery, the soda bread was also nice. Seemed very busy as there was a long wait for food and alot of disgruntled people saying they waited over 1 hr for food and wanted a refund. Food took about 30mins which wasn't bad.

50min waiting for a stew and 3 sandwiches and the waiter gets quite stupid when ask for ETA, actually, when asked about anything. Another waitress was much more kind but the "experience" was already ruined. The place is big and the food was just OK. I do not recommend

Pretty popular place. An Irish friend recommended it, and sure enough it was pretty authentic for the local Dublin scene. The music was awesome and it wasn't too crowded after 10pm when we came. Didn't try any food, just beer and gin and service at the bar was fast and cordial. There seems to be a pub in every corner in this town but among those we tried, this one was pretty good. Stop for a pint if you visit this city. You'll like it!

Hubby loved their stew here! He wanted to come back again, but with our schedule so tight, we didn't make it back again. Great atmosphere and food is delicious! Great pub with excellent staff!

Excellent Pub that serves delicious food until 10pm. Overall an easygoing vibe and a comfortable atmosphere. Come here for some traditional (and Delicious!) Shepherd’s Pie. You feel so refueled and healthy after - wow! A perfect spot for an evening night out.

Tried out a few places for food + beer while I was in Dublin and I think O’Neills was my favourite. The full Irish breakfast was everything I wanted it to be - and for 10.75 euro (approximately) including coffee it’s well priced too. Some of the more negative reviews complain about the quality of the food, but I’d say it’s good if you consider that it’s a pub. The carvery is pretty extensive and everything looked good, though I can only vouch for the full Irish. The reviewers that complain about the full irish are just complainers. Otherwise, loved the atmosphere and the service was great as well - they were very understanding of my incompetence (took me a few minutes to understand how the food ordering process worked - it’s cafeteria style so might be a bit of a turn off for more white collar folks). Would definitely go back if I’m ever in Dublin again.

The food here isn't the cheapest, but it's really good. And also you get free entertainment with love Irish music so you can't really complain. Typical Irish carvery options along with traditional dishes. It's open really late for food so it's a great option for a big feed at night! It gets very busy too so be prepared to wait. Most of the start are friendly, but a smile doesn't hurt every now and then (I'm talking to you waitress who served me my food, yes you with the tattoos). I would highly recommend and I'll be back again

One of the nicest carvery in town! Irish breakfast is delicious and staff is really quick to attend you. Just bare in mind: It is a well known pub, so please expect a high volume of ppl coming and going! There are seats upstairs as well as an outdoor area for food and smokers, which is class!

Grab a menu, a table and head downstairs to collect and pay for your delicious food. Beverages are available at the bar and sports are on every screen. Much of the menu is available to be served immediately while you walk the short line with your tray. The portions are very generous. The menu accurately states that some items may take up to 25 minutes to prepare. So if it's not already out on the serving line you may be waiting. Be aware a fair number of us tourists find our way indoors to O'Neills as it is right across from the Molly Malone statue outside St. Andrew's Church.

Great bar in a great location. Close to Trinity college, prices are reasonable. Food also great, try the oxtail stew with Guinness beer. There's also live music every night.

One of the best lunches or dinners in Dublin. A wide variety of hearty dishes served cafeteria style in a pub like setting. Come hungry - portion size is very large. The carved meats are particularly good and of course the potatoes are great. Put them together with a pint. Wonderful stuff.

Every time I visit Dublin i drop into O' Neill's for a pint and food. Great old fashioned pub in the heart of Dublin city centre. On this occasion I got the beef and Guinness stew. It was 10/10

This pub is just great! Location is amazing and the staff is so helpful! We just arrived when the kitchen was about to close but they asked us quickly if we wanted to order. And the food is really good, tomato soup very recommendable, sandwiches big portions and cheap! Guinness was only €5.50! Definitely will come back every time I'm in Dublin!

It’s a good place to get a cheap roast. We paid 13,50€ for turkey and 15,50€ for lamb. The food was a bit cold but it was flavourful and the portion size was decent.

There are many delicious Irish meals. The staff in the kitchen is very kind and helpful. I also listened to traditional Irish music and watched Irish stepdance upstairs. Everything was perfect. If you want to go there, it is better to go on weekdays.

Went for an Irish breakfast this morning. It was horrendous. It was served on a plate with a plastic covering to keep whatever shred of heat on the plate. Clearly microwaved as plate was piping hot and food genuinely stone cold in the centre. I asked the staff if it was microwaved and they said it was. I asked to get a fresh plate and they clearly reheated what was already given to me. Embarrassing to call it an Irish breakfast. Bitterly disappointed

(Translated by Google) Very good Irish pub to enjoy a dish of considerable quantity and a good pint of beer, which have a variety of them. While you have dinner you listen to Celtic music live It’s cool !! I was surprised by the amount of food on the plates and especially the more or less affordable price. The place is very picturesque and it is worth spending some time there either having a coffee or having dinner. (Original) Muy buen pub irlandés para disfrutar un plato de considerable cantidad y una buena pinta de cerveza, que tienen variedad de ellas. Mientras cenas escuchas música celta en directo. Mola!! We visited this pub twice during a two day cruise stop. One stop was at the end of our walking tour where we were treated to a drink. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. It is a very spacious pub with lots of seperate rooms. It has clean toilets, wifi, and food. We returned the following day after walking several miles in the city. We needed something to eat and knew they were friendly and served food on a hot food line. The food was all delicious and was very reasonably priced. It was enough food to share between my husband and I. We couldn't even finish. We bought souvenir shirts for the kids and called it a day. They are worth a visit.

You owe it to yourself to visit O'Neils. The place in huge with multiple rooms. We went there three times during our time in Dublin. We watched live music upstairs, we had dinner in the front room right across from the Molly Malone stature, and we watched Ireland curb stomp Romania in the Rugby World Cup in the main bar. The bartenders were great, the Beef Stew was top notch and I was surprised by the outstanding desserts.

Worst service I've experienced in Dublin so far. Waited about an hour for the food to arrive, and the waiter did not offer us more drinks while we waited. Furthermore, we had to pay before the food arrived. That right there is a red flag. It's too bad because the food was okay and reasonably priced and the pub is in a nice old building. Do not recommend.

We visited this place last week. The atmosphere is nice and it's a traditional pub but the service is awful. The beer we ordered wasn't fresh. We ordered also food but it was one hour late. So we left without trying. I could give it a try one more time but I don't recommend it.

  • 4/5 Rickie L J. 8 months ago on Google
Very pretty pub with a Victorian theme. Irish, yes, but the music that comes on loudly after 9 is generic pop sing by an Irish tenor with a few tats. An unwieldy combination of cultures.. we came twice liked the food. The bartender made an effort to get us dinner even though”the kitchen just closed a minute ago” My friends dark Guineas was not filled to the top of the glass for some reason - but my diet cokes were delicious. The Music was sadly generic too 40s sung with an Irish accent. But I recommend the pub enthusiastically. Also I learned the difference between shepherds pie and cottage pie. One has lamb learned that the hard way.

This place is real nice. The atmosphere is welcoming and they have plenty of nice seating choices. The food was good as well. I recommend the creamy seafood chowder. It was decently filling for the amount of food it was and it tasted delicious. There is also Wi-Fi for those who don’t have cell service. They also play great Irish music here as well.

I walked into this Pub a bit by chance on a Monday evening and despite everything the atmosphere was very nice. There was awesome live music with Irish and world standards. The stew I ordered was delicious and the choice of beer very popular (this changes pubs with only Guiness, Kilkenny, etc.). I recommend

  • 3/5 Cristina B. 1 year ago on Google
Average food and a fairly long waiting time if you take into account the elaboration needed for what we ordered. Beer was very good but food tasted average. It was a pity the carvery was closed due to renovations, as that’s what we really wanted to have for lunch. We will probably be back once the carvery reopens. Lovely decoration.

This was an interesting experience. We didn’t know what to expect but it was a very casual place, extremely busy on a Thursday evening. We went from room to room looking for a table, climbing stairs and wondering what was around the next corner. You just kinda grab a table and there are tons of nooks and crannies with people borrowing chairs and squeezing in. Then you go to the bar to order, so it’s not a traditional dining experience but a lot of fun. Excellent Guiness:)

This place has an awesome labyrinth of dining areas, bars, and places to get food, like the carvery. I HIGHLY reccomend the hearty food from the carvery. O'Niel's is located right across from the statue of Molly Malone, which can be seen out of the windows on the second floor.

Laid out on three floors with cozy sitting areas, the O’Neills is very rustic and traditional Irish pub near the Parliament Square and directly opposite of the famous Molly Malone statue. Overall, the pub has a very good selection of different beers, whiskies and other drinks. There is usually live music in the evenings and as the pub is also frequented by locals, the atmosphere is quite unique. The pub’s kitchen serves typical and down-to-earth pub food – it wasn’t too bad, but also a bit bland and stale. The prices are around the Dublin average. O’Neills is a good place for a few drinks, but also seems a bit like a typical tourist trap.

Absolutely beautiful place to have amazing food either alone or with friends. Many choices that you won’t get bored. I’ve been dreaming to try Irish stew for so long, and this is not gonna let you down. Well, at lease I enjoyed very much. The freshness of food is fantastic!! And great huge amount of food also make your day! Nice staff, good environment, also live music with Tac Dance. Great experience here. Highly recommended!!! It’s already in my pocket list whenever I come back to Ireland next, this is must try! Oh! Don’t you forget to get a pint of Guinness in here too.

Food was disgusting. Used to have a decent walk-up carvery. Now it feels the Soviet Union has settled in: The walk-up is gone - you order at the bar, then you wait. And wait. You must order no earlier than noon - they watch the clock! And they don’t believe in turning on the heat in the place. Ugh! And when the food arrived - it was dried up meat on a plate overfilled with leathery potatoes and overboiled turnip. It would be nice if they’d put a little quality ahead of extreme cost control. Last visit for me.

I really wouldn’t go here again. The first thing about this place is there is no waiter. You have to walk up and order drinks and food and pick both up. I ordered BBQ Chicken wings which was definitely a mistake because they were awful and me being starved I still chose not to eat them. The fries that came with the meal were also very soggy and undercooked. The wings were a inconsistent. Some were drenched in sauce and other wings were very bare. The whole plate was drenched in sauce. Some wings were piping hot and others were cold to the point where the hot ones would burn my fingers. The coke I got was average but the glass I was given smelled like fish and was kind of unappealing. The prices were pretty good though. I would honestly choose mcdonalds over this place any day.
