Great restaurant, the food was simply amazing! Had lamb perfectly cooked with delicious mashed potatoes. The service was super friendly and loved to chat. Recommend this restaurant, bon appétit !

What a FANTASTIC dining experience, for a Father and Daughter vacation dinner outing, even on the slowest of Mondays. Nestled amongst a variety of other restaurants and shops, Darwins offered staff and seating comfortable enough to stay for as long as you choose. Our beef selections were cooked and served with practiced precision. I could not have received a more perfect Medium rare filet anywhere in the US. We chose wines from an expansive list! Please try Darwins, you won’t be disappointed

Every course was 5stars. Service was perfect and the food was phonomenal. Delicious tasting experience. Pork belly was to die for. Steak was juicey and tender cannot fault the quality of anything I have eaten tonight. Bravo!

Recently, we had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant in Dublin, and it was an absolute delight! From the perfectly crafted dirty gin martinis to the mouthwatering carrot soup and flawlessly cooked hamburger, every dish was a culinary masterpiece. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the kindness and hospitality of the entire staff. We felt so welcome that we may have even overstayed our welcome a bit! Without a doubt, we wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Dublin. It's a guaranteed phenomenal experience that you won't want to miss!

Gorgeous restaurant...it certainly didn't disappointed. The food was delicious from start to finish. Red & white wines were divine. Steaks were huge & cooked to perfection. Good value for money, too

The food is delicious and I have nothing to say about it. The place is great, well located in Candem Street and easy to find. There is public car park in the street behind it, 2 min walking distance. The only reason I vote 4 stars here is because it took 2 hours to have the starter served and the main course served on a Tuesday. I would expect a bit more faster service, but overall it was great.

The fillet was absolutely delicious cooked medium with the garlic butter sauce. Very happy we waited to get steak until this restaurant. Not disappointed. The garlic aioli fries were yummy and not over powering. Pescatarian friend had the risotto and also enjoyed. Would absolutely come here again. Worth every bite. Atmosphere is as friendly but quiet vibe for a quaint dinner. Would recommend reservations.

Reserved a table for Christmas and called to secure this booking with deposit and full payment for the evening. I was told that I couldn't reserve it that day because the person who accepts the bookings was not there that day but reassured that it wouldn't be reserved by somebody else. I emailed the person mentioned to ensure that we would get our booking secured as soon as they were available to take the booking, but they only called to tell me they've given the booking to somebody else. In that time that we waited, other bookings that were available for us to secure in the meantime were also taken, so their empty promise left us with no practical options. Do not trust the word of the staff in Darwins.

Good food, pleasant staff BUT the acoustics are very bad. I could hardly hear my friend across the table. The place needs some form of acoustic barriers between sections. It doesn't have to be solid partitions, there are a lot of modern and decorative solutions.

This was my first time to return to Darwin’s since lockdowns. Delighted to be back and happy to say it is as good as always. Fabulous staff, wonderful food, great ambience and though they were really busy, they allowed us to stay on for a last drink. Also brought a dessert with candle, hat, and sang happy birthday to me!! Thanks Darwin’s. Possibly my favourite restaurant in Dublin. ♥️

Struggling to rate this restaurant, as it was clear they were struggling with volume of people. The steak was tougher than I would like. The burger was Ok, but the chicken was excellent. Reasonably priced wine selection. Service was a bit slow, but again, I believe they were understaffed.

What an amazing dining experience .. Best steak in town by far, I nearly cried when the plate was empty. staff are unbelievably friendly, helpful and generous. I have no problem recommending darwins to friends and family. Keep up the great work guys. We will be back. 😁

I was at a company Xmas department in Darwins. The food was delicious and the staff friendly and efficient. My first time at the venue and would recommend it to others. I will definitely be booking a table soon.

Lovely staff who were friendly and attentive. Food was nice but ultimately terrible value. €42 for a fillet steak (which had to be sent back because it was sent out well done) and a blob of mash is far too dear. Would probably avoid coming back purely due to a lack of value. Can get the same quality food for far cheaper elsewhere.

Unfortunately the NY strip steak was extremely chewy… Our dinner started wonderfully as we were greeted & seated promptly, then given great drinks quickly. We had mushroom risotto to start and it was so good that I would go back there for it alone. We ordered the wagyu burger (which was great) and the NY Strip rare (which was not great). The steak came with a pepper sauce that was similar to a peppery gravy and was pretty good but the mash that came with it was a small portion and rather boring. The steak itself was extremely chewy to the point that I feel like I was swallowing whole pieces because I couldn’t chew through them. I had trouble getting the knife through the rare steak…

I really wanted to like it. I ordered a medium rare Filet which came with side of mash. And then I ordered a side of spinach. Only the spinach was great. The mash was out so they gave me chips instead. That would have been fine, but the steak comes out as medium to well done - def not medium rare. Never checked to see if it was alright so I just ate it. Disappointing to go for a fine meal and have it not only taste bland but have it not right.

We had the burger and espresso martinis and they were both amazing! Cozy atmosphere and great service - I highly recommend for dinner or a drink!

I was part of a very large group who were celebrating an event here. I was blown away by the quality of food and service for such a large group. No mistakes with orders. The staff were a pleasure and added to the fun of the night. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Had an excellent steak dinner here. Had the special tomato soup starter - very good. Great service as well. (Photos come out blue due to the lighting where we were sitting.)

Brilliant vibe in the restaurant. Staff on top form and could handle our bunch of reprobates. Steaks are the best in town.Would highly recommend

I first went to Darwin’s with a group of approx 12 work buddies quite a few years ago. It was very good. As a result it became a favourite of all my family. A few years ago at Christmas while having drinks with another group I rang after 8pm on the off chance that we might get a table for 6. We did and got such a friendly welcome that since that time various members of our group have frequented this great spot with friends and family. We went again a few days ago and, as usual, the lady who does Front of House was there making us laugh and making us welcome. We had a fabulous night with great drinks, fine food , lovely service and great fun. Highly recommended!!

This restaurant surprised me and my boyfriend. We found and called many steakhouse but they didn't have any free tables, we were hungry and dispirited. When we decided to go back home, I made the last call to enquire any free table, which was to Darwins Restaurant. so, we got there right after the call. The food was delicious and waiter was kind. We were very enjoyable . The T bone was huge and tasty and bouillabaisse was fresh. We both were agreed that the fried mushrooms and spinach with butter is the most delicious dish ever. Will definitely come again!

Excellent restaurant we stumbled upon.in Dublin We had our steak prepared "blue" as opposed "rare" upon the recommendation of the waiter. Excellent choice. Great wait staff. Interesting dining areas. Highly recommended

Porterhouse sharing steak was amazing. Good sides and sauces. Starters were only ok which is why 4 and not 5 stars.
