Have a really nice meal here. We ordered the bread as an appetiser. It was amazing. Then we had the vegan risotto and the vegan lasagna. Amazing as well. And we finished off with the vegan brownie. So good. I’d recommend this place to anyone, really. Portions are nicely sized, and the food tastes amazing!

Home style cuisine with very welcoming staff. Expected a bit more from wine selection - good quality house wine, but nothing special for a wine lover. Price/quality ratio is great for the Temple Bar area.

Excellent restaurant in Temple bar for some Italian cuisine. One of the floors in the restaurant is like an underground cellar with brick walls, which is very cool. The food itself was amazing, and can't fault it. The staff were super attentive and friendly and the service was top class. Would definitely recommend.

Every time that we come over here has been simply spectacular! The food is to die for, especially the brownie and the bolognese. The service is always top notch and the cellar vibe is great too. Would definitely recommend!

Great restaurant! My boyfriend took me here for a surprise dinner and it was lovely! It has three floors so plenty of space, they also have a large wine selection! Boyfriend and I ordered the bruschetta, the lamb shank and the sirloin. Cannot recommend the bruschetta enough, if you’re gonna order anything order that (and also the peppercorn sauce is divine). If you’re looking for a romantic dinner restaurant (albeit a little bit on the pricey side) this is perfect!

Really great service, so attentive and great chat. A good atmosphere. Food was yummy, portions size I would say they were just too big, we weren’t able to even get close to finishing the mains. Well priced - except the wine, again rather expensive €20 for a carafe of red wine Ring tone of the main phone at the bar kept going off and ringing (would appreciate it being turned down or on silent) Other than that the main server (think could be owner) was really good and helpful Thank you

Excellent service - accommodating staff and extremely affordable meal. Good portions. Used a Groupon voucher for two courses for two people. €24.

EDIT: the owner seems to think I’m ridiculing them out of spite. The “halal” wasn’t accommodating, you stated you do halal chicken. That was it. It’s a service you already provided, doesn’t mean you did us any favours. We’re not going to throw a “tantrum” in your restaurant. The service was absolutely abysmal, is this something we need to point out to you? No one was particularly present to actually take our dessert orders, nor were they present for us to ask for the bill. It was obvious from the wait staff that they lacked in that totally. I’ve been to many places and the service you provide is very outdated. We were a big group and you fail at accommodating big groups. Everyone else who has reviewed your place seems to only be 2 or 3 people party who were attended to. I’ve a right to write my review and the events which happened on the night. I am no way insulting your place nor the people there but rather presenting facts from my point of view. The people have the right to know the experience we have and they can pass a verdict when they visit your place, if they decide to. Your response as a whole seems to be rather poor and quite a backwards way of dealing with criticism. If I wanted to tarnish your image I’d have many other ways to do so. All in all, I wouldn’t be recommending this place from my experience. —- We reserved this place for 7 people. I’ll be honest - the starter was nice. The main was ok. The service was appalling - barely any waiter around to actually ask for the dessert menu or even the bill. The ridiculous deposit which was taken away from the bill was preposterous - we didn’t even spend the full 3 hours at the place as the experience was just absolutely below mediocre. I’d assume if you’re out of various desserts you’d at least inform us to prevent wasting our time from eyeing the menu and then again waiting for the struggle for the staff to come over. The front entrance is also tiny - this is where folks pay for the bill. Maybe bring the card machine to the table for quicker service and exit? So much wrong with this place. I’d give 0 stars if I even could. Never again!

I was surprised that they didn't check my covid cert at all, then they sat us in a fairly tight little basement space very close to other tables. Everyone had to edge past our table to get to the bathrooms and staff didn't mandate masks when customers were moving around. Our table was also tiny and didn't have space for food + drinks so our water and wine were balanced precariously on a narrow border along the wall. Having said all that, the food was nice and reasonably priced. Service was good and we didn't feel rushed.

Love this spot! Right at the heart of Temple Bar. Food was good, loads of options to choose from as well as for drinks. Staff were also lovely! The only thing was when you asks for the bill, they don’t mention that you have to pay on your way out so we were waiting for them to take payment only for their staff to finally come to our table & asks us to leave because our 2 hour limit is up.

Lovely little restaurant in the heart of Temple Bar. Food here is spot on, with everything cooked to perfection. Gorgeous desserts and very nice wine and craft beer really made our visit such a pleasure, on what was a very grey and rainy day in Dublin. Staff are lovely here and looked after us very well. Definitely recommend a visit here. We will come back again soon.

I've been here a number of times now for work night get togethers. There is a table in the wine cellar that can accommodate 12 or possibly even more people. It's a very nice dining experience for a work team as you can talk pretty much privately without much distraction. Ideal for ice breakers etc. The staff are excellent and the food has always been on point. The location is also very central and an ideal starting point for a night out. I would recommend. Check out the dusty wines in the cellar :)

OMG. Where do I even start… the ambiance in the bottom cavern is so intimate and such a great spot for a date. Right in the heart of the Temple bar district without feeling dirty or crowded. The food was absolutely amazing! We originally came for just a glass of wine and ended up staying for a bottle, appetizers, dinner and dessert to go! Highly recommend! 5 stars

On the last night of our Ireland trip we needed a change from Irish stew, so we ventured out for some Italian food. We happened upon La Caverna, and were very lucky that they were able to squeeze us in on a Saturday night without a reservation. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly, plentiful and attentive. The pizza was delicious, and more than enough for one person. My only gripe was the ladies restroom upstairs... you needed to climb a narrow flght into the attic to a tiny facility. But I think this is a common theme in Ireland.

This is mine and my husbands favourite place to go. We've been going for over 3 years now for special occasions and they honestly never disappoint! We went tonight for my birthday and unfortunately there was the horrible riots in dublin city centre. Your team were amazing and genuinely cared about the safety and well-being of all your patrons. I hope your team all got home safe and I want to thank each and everyone of them for making our night a special one!

Staff were very professional and attentive. Food was very fresh and very good quality. Portion size was also very good and i doubt you would leave here hungry. I had the prawn and scallop tagliatelle which was delicious and well presented, If I was to be very critical, I would say that it would have been nice to see a bit of pan sear on the scallops, but I really couldn't fault the food. To be honest, I wasn't expecting such a nice meal but I have to say it was very enjoyable and I would highly recommend. Great job guys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Little gem of a restaurant in Temple Bar. Nduja croquettes for starter are delicious. I had the prawn spaghetti for mains and it was very tasty plus portions are large. Only issue was the service was very slow, 1 hour to get our starter but it was a Saturday night and the week before Christmas so it was extremely busy so I can forgive them that. Will definitely be back and a place I would highly recommend.

It is not Italian food, they have just few italian dishes. i had a lasagna that had not taste at all and it was very heavy. It was also quite expensive (18 euro). The staff was welcoming and the place is ok. Not recommended.

Was here for a Christmas Dinner with my team. My food was pretty good, but just as a matter of preference, my steak just didn't hit the spot. It was still good though. Service was decent. I know others in the team felt their meals could have been better, but overall it was a nice experience

This little spot is my absolute go-to for a perfect Italian! Definitely the best Italian in Dublin hands down. I was here last night and got the buffalo mozzarella salad for a starter and the burrata neopoletana pasta for main and it was just exquisite. The staff are absolutely lovely and so friendly, so accommodating as well. Thanks for a great night ❤️

Looks nothing from the outside but looks great inside. Staff were immaculately friendly even when a poser started asking millions of questions to try and impress his date. They remained professional, courteous and played along when he was being rude. Food was nice though Lasagna looked amazing but needs just something else to bring up the flavour.Looked amazing though. Price was a steal for Temple bar Highly reccomend and will be returning again

The food at this establishment was undeniably delicious, satisfying my cravings for authentic Italian cuisine. The dishes were expertly prepared, showcasing the flavors and techniques that make Italian food so beloved. The atmosphere of the restaurant added to the enjoyment of the meal. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with cozy lighting and tasteful decor that evoked a sense of Italy. It created a relaxing environment to enjoy the culinary delights on offer. However, there were a few aspects that prevented me from fully immersing myself in an Italian dining experience. Firstly, I couldn't help but notice that the waitresses were not Italian. While their service was professional and friendly, I couldn't help but miss the unique charm and cultural authenticity that Italian waitstaff often bring to the table. Furthermore, I found it disappointing that a simple tradition such as serving water with espresso was absent. This attention to detail is a characteristic feature of Italian dining, and its absence was noticeable. Additionally, some of the menu items were not pronounced correctly, most notably the bruschetta. It would have been wonderful to hear the authentic pronunciation of this classic dish

I had a wonderful experience at this cozy restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and authentic, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We started with garlic bread and goat cheese and we never could imagine something that good. I ordered the tortellini and she had the risotto, our best experience with Italian food. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable, but the space in the basement makes all the difference. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy Italian restaurant. I dare to say this was the best gastronomic experience we had.

The food was good and portions were healthy. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth. The drag for me was that it lacked the ambience photos had lead me to believe was there. Maybe it's better on the ground floor, but definitely avoid upstairs if possible.

Best vegan lasagne ever Good vegan options in general in central Dublin / temple bar area I had lasagne with garlic bread and salad, all tasted great, lots of layered veg and very authentic. I probably over ordered as I was stuffed afterwards but I couldn't not get garlic bread to dunk! Also, vegan and organic wines available Wish I'd stumbled accross it earlier and I'd have been able to report on the vegan pizza too I have this place saved in my list and I will come back again!

(Translated by Google) Very cozy and small restaurant with amazingly delicious cuisine. The waitress treated us like dear friends, it was very nice. It took a long time to wait for the order, but it was worth it. Video that the dish was being prepared, and not just warmed up. As for Guinness ... I can't say anything, I tried it for the first time, and so far, for the last time. I like it. A slightly carbonated, bittersweet drink.

We went there for lunch and booked the table beforehand a day. We had the set Christmas lunch (3 course) with starter, main course and dessert for 28 euros. The quality of the food is really good. The quantity is quite big as well. The restaurant is very clean and they have taken good precautions for the covid situation as well. It was nicely decorated for Christmas so you will will get a positive Christmas vibe.

The food was excellent (with a small exception with the side salad, which was disappointing). The steak was especially delicious. Service was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, I found the atmosphere a little "sterile". Wanted to be seated downstairs, but that was full. I think it is much nicer and cozy down there. The upstairs dining area was a bit too formal and not very fun (after all, you should be having fun in Dublin!). A minus point for the bathrooms. VERY DIRTY and it seemed they weren't cleaned for days. If you have a nice restaurant, don't forget the washrooms.
