The tiny and hidden low quality fish surrounded by an oily overfried breaded cover, plus the Aldi cheapest fries, make this a bad choice to try fish and chips. Price is to high for that quality. I cannot understand neither why there are 10 people working doing nothing, when other similar bars have just 2 or 3 employees. Not recommended at all.

Fish is good. Dined in before boarding coach to Belfast. Good for quick bite. Upstairs offers 2 shop size seating. Ground floor is tight

Not recommend the haddock. It comes with hard scales the whole fillet. If you really try you can eat the scales but that will not be a nice experience. Haddock and chips (no mushy peas as shown on the poster) for EUR 14.5 (Cod for EUR 15.5). Good portion but blanded. Chips are sad. A can of regular Coke for EUR 3.5. (The soft drink price shown on the board is EUR 3). Bottled beers started from EUR 6.5 (at least that what was advertised). Too expensive for the quality. Go to other places for better/cheaper fish and chips.

Two stars overall. The items needed another 20-30 seconds in the fryer, as both the cod and chips were slightly underdone. The chips were bland, unsalted, and pale. The piece of cod was undersized, and the tartar sauce lacked zing. The atmosphere was not particularly inviting, the staff behind the counter was loud and bordered on unprofessional. Spent too much on this very unsatisfying experience. Big disappointment, as I was really looking forward to this meal.

I like the fish and chips here in the morning. I got the hake and cod. I personally like the hake. The fish is wonderful while the chips are just okay. I would substitute the chips for another piece of fried fish. Portion size was good. Great customer service too.

Stopped in right after we got into town and off the airplane. The cod fish was a bit bland but the chips were very well made. The staff was all friendly. I would return to try maybe a fish sandwich next time.

Amazing fish and chips! Was cooked fresh for us. They don’t over fry the fish like a lot of places do. Tarter sauce was on point also. The people taking the orders were super nice! Will be back again. Thank you for the great food.

Ordered the traditional fish and chips (with cod) and thought the cod was great. It’ll come down to personal preference for the chips as they’re not a more typical style. The loss of the star wasn’t for the chips, though—it was because the place was in serious need of a cleaning. To the employees’ credit, it was busy and raining so we may have just gotten there at a difficult time. It’s definitely not a reason to avoid it. The employees were also very kind and we didn’t wait very long for the food. The menu’s limited size is another area where it’s either a plus or minus for each individual. Nothing added or deducted for that either. Worth a visit for some good (almost great) fish and ships and a great atmosphere.

Went here 3 times. The first time, I got the cod, which was fine. The second time, I wasn't hungry but went with my mother who was, and I just got a cappuccino, which was okay. They forgot about my mother's meal and we were waiting ages, had to call a waiter over. Also a middle aged man squeezed himself into our booth even though there were plenty of empty tables and I could see his fingers creeping towards my mother's handbag! Not the restaurant's fault, but it was still crazy. Luckily she moved her bag and he went away. The third time, the sole was extremely greasy. So much so that I had to force myself to eat it and ended up puking it up a couple of hours later. Sole is a thin fish, so I suspect they just put in the same fryer they use for chunkier fish and it comes out greasy because it's been cooked in way too much oil. I like the stained glass windows, but overall it's a little shabby. Could do with a deep clean.

For being the first experience at Dublin the food wasn’t that bad, the place is quite nice, the employees as pretty quick at taking orders and delivery the food, the pavement with that chess pattern make the place look cooler, but i still can’t remember it clearly, because maybe it’s to vague. Btw beautiful city enjoy it :>

No frills spot with a decent breakfast at a good price and good fish for lunch or dinner. Nice folks, clean restaurant.

GF fish and chips is always five stars in my book. Nice atmosphere, clean and plenty of seating upstairs.

The fish and chips are great. Very reasonably priced compared to other nearby restaurants. There is a quiet second floor dining area where I was able to people watch as people were showing their team pride for the hurling match today.

Fish and chip were nicer than I expected but the peas were stone cold and cudnt be ate. The staff appeared lost and dazzled mixing peoples orders up and it wasn't that busy. Prob wouldn't rush back.

Have fond memories of going here for fish and chips as a kid when we had days out in the Big Smoke. I still enjoy coming here - friendly service, generous portions of food and no shortage of sauces or vinegar! Handy for a quick bag of real chips(great big chunky traditional chips) if you're waiting on a bus on O'Connell Street.

Not bad overall, and they have a GF fish and chips option which is what brought us there. Little else for GF, but about average for the rest of the food and experience.

Second time at this Fish n Chips place. The first time was takeout. It is so much better dine in. We ordered fried calamari, 2 cod fish and chips and a salad. It was a tad too much fried food for me but it was so good and delicious. I wish I knew the salad was with a mayo dressing. That was an overkill for me. But the greens was crisp with cherry tomatoes. I know next time to skill the dressing and that would be perfect. The fish was flavorful and juicy matched perfectly with the crispy coat. Glad I had a hot ginger tea to go with my meal.

It was the first time I’d been to Europe so it was my first fish and chips. It was good. The restaurant looks cool and it was neat to eat upstairs and enjoy the view of the street. I’ve since had fish and chips in other places and they were better.

The cod + chips + mushed peas was fresh and good, value for money. Good service too. Thank you

Appreciated the option to make almost anything on their menu gluten-free. Huge portions-1 order fish n chips could have fed 2.
