I love this place. Only stopped in for a pint because the outside looks great. The inside is great and very large. The menu looks good too. I'll be back soon for dinner.

You HAVE to try this place! Every single item was delicious and cooked beautifully. The lamb shank is a MUST! Fall-apart tender and a great flavor. The adult coffees were delicous and the cheesy garlic bread was outstanding. The waffle with ice cream as a dessert was the perfect end to a perfect meal. Very friendly and attentive staff made us feel right at home.

This is my first visit to this pub. We went for a 50th Birthday Party. The food was nice. They do platters for parties. The platters had cocktail sausages, chicken wings, potato wedges and chips. They also do small cakes like cheesecake and brownies. I thought the service was good. But we didn't like it near the end of the night we were told to finish our drinks and get out! We came for a party. The guy could have said it nicely to leave. He is very abrupt. They kicked us out of a party. Plus We thought it closed at 12:30 not 11:30. Not happy about this at all!

The experience was great when we first got seated. The place was nice and pretty and cozy. But when we tried to wave to any waiter/waitress/manager walking pass us to order our meal, there were over 10 of them and no one saw us at all!!!!! That was the most humiliated restaurant experience I have ever had. They are not even busy, some of them are just chatting to each other. The steak I had was over cooked, the meat was very dry. The fries came with my steak was basically soaking in oil, way too oily to be served. My boyfriend’s lamb shank has no flavor. I told the waitress about it and she simply said I feel sorry about that while she was walking away. So disrespect! She didn’t even finish her sentence before she went off. I think if she did not REALLY feel sorry - then it is better if she said nothing. Not coming back to this place ever again. and will not recommend this place to any friends.

Lovely location right over the water, food is pub grub and cocktails are quite nice. The soup though... Increidble, best soup I ever had in my life. Even comes with a miniature baked sode bread.

Stopped by this place for a quick lunch between museums and I'm really glad I did!! I got the soup lunch special which came with a large portion of the soup of the day (which was potato and leek), some toasted bread, and a soda. The soup was delicious and hot and it was all very filling. Best of all, it was so well priced!! The seating was very comfortable and, as I got there after the typical lunch crowd (around 2pm) it was very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick, inexpensive, and delicious lunch in the area!!

Like the ambience, plenty of space and some tables outside. The price was pretty fair i think. The food tastes good, portion was pretty big. They seem really busy by the way, the place was pretty packed when we were there but nonetheless they were still attentive. Got nothing to complain and will surely go back and prolly update this review too!

Top class! We made the great decision of hosting our second day wedding party at Harbourmaster. Rory and his staff were fantastic, they were on point with quick drink service and timely served buffet. The decor they provided for us was lovely. The buffet options were delicious and very well priced. My guests of around 100 were locals along with New Yorkers and everyone agreed the food was incredible. Highly recommend the beef stew! The room upstairs was perfect for the group of 100 and our live musicians. Guests were enjoying the canal view balcony space and the indoor tables alike. Really don’t think there could be a better option for my event in Dublin, Harbourmaster was a huge success! We will certainly be back.

Lovely bar, and restaurant in the city centre. Was here during a Friday night. The food was delicious, with an exception for dessert, which was below average. The place itself is a renovated harbour master's office, and the interior is beautiful.

I just had a drink here so I can’t rate the food. This is a local place. Not touristy. Great atmosphere and service. Authentic Irish pub experience.

Cole and Stephen provided excellent service! My son and I enjoyed the lively atmosphere on a Wednesday night, no less. Chicken with mushrooms proved to be a tender, savory dish. We will remember you when we get back to California!

They are working like slaves at the most beautiful time of the year. Hundreds of the customers. But the staff are highly professional and pay attention to every visitor. I was seated comfortably and got one of the best steaks I ever ate. The highest possible level of hospitality. Definitely be back one day.

Nice bar with outdoor area but it wasn't opened when we visited for a quick lunch before the Jeanie Johnston experience. Great food and plenty beer on drafts

Located in Dublins financial district The Harbourmaster is just a short stroll from both the bus station and Connolly, making easily accessible by train, tram, bus, taxi or car. The venue itself has a slightly rustic charm feeling a little bit mismatched, but unapologetically so . The menu is fairly simple and brief featuring classics like soup du jour, chicken wings, fish and chips and lamb shanks, but rest assured these few dishes are done very well. For my starter I ordered the smoked salmon plate, with everything you might expect- the bread, the lemon, the salmon it was entirely as you'd hope to find it . Most remarkably though was the sheer size, it really was the dish that kept giving. My partner had the seafood chowder which was very flavourful, incredibly rich and creamy and certainly not skimpy on the size. For the main I chose the pan fried pork loin with cider braised cabbage and creamy mash. The pork was incredibly tender with just the right amount of crunch on the fat. The cabbage was just the right level of punchy without being aggressive, and the mash was unremarkably mash. A hint more gravy would have set me just right, but that's not a reflection on the food rather my love of gravy and there NEVER being enough. My partner opted for the lamb shank with seasonal vegetables and creamy mash. The lamb was perfectly cooked to falling off the bone, and beautifully presented, again the mash lacked a certain something but was tasty all the same. In terms of the service the staff were very friendly, accommodating and generally happy to help, that said there were a few service errors such as the water glasses not being topped up/ no water being offered, no salt and pepper on the table, and we asked one of the staff for fresh cutlery with the main as we'd both had a fish starter, he enthusiastically nodded ...and that was the last we saw of him, to the point we grabbed our own. Obviously one can forgive we are just coming out of a period of no service, I think we're all a little rusty. Overall a lovely experience with very tasty food, we would have had dessert but we had to practically roll out of the place. I'll definitely be popping back again.

The entrance to the place is small but it’s quite a big place inside. A bit dark inside, however the canal facing tables were nice. It was how pretty crowded on a Thursday afternoon and ended up being quite loud. We were recommended the fish and chips. The chips were soggy and very thin. Not well seasoned. The piece of fish was large and had a crispy coating, a bit too hard actually and oily. Inside it was soft and cooked ended up getting rid of one side of the coating to eat it. It was getting quite heavy otherwise. The soup of the day was leek and potato but it had an off taste. Staff was friendly and courteous and pricing was moderate.

Great irish place. Has great lunch meals, portions are reasonable and food is very tasty. The service is super fast too. Might need to book in advance as it can be full.

Food and serving was amazing! The portions were really generous. We ordered the salmon, caesar salad, smoked salmon, pork, rib eye steak, penne pasta and it was all delicious. Would definitely come back!

Lovely place in a Great location. Service in restaurant was not so good. Very slow and forgetful. Had to keep reminding them about drinks ordered. They kept bringing the wrong food to tables. Maybe I went on an off day. They had lots of staff in on this day and it was not that busy. The food it's self was nice but I thought could be better for the price. €33 for a small steak and the plate was very sparse with sides. The burger was nice and better value. But €18 is still a bit pricey for a burger and chips if you ask me.

Food was OK, normal pub standard. But there was NO check at the entrance for covid cert. Table beside us had about 12 people seated. Far too many. Also they were the loudest noisiest bunch. We could not hear our own conversations. I had a finger in my ear most of the night trying to block out the noise. Drunken female should have been told to shut up or leave. Won't be back.

Great spot to hit up for pre concert food & drinks, right around the corner from the train station. The food was 10/10 as always. The portion may look small but it is the perfect amount to hit the spot without over doing it. The drinks were ice cold just how I like it!😍 The staff were so friendly and attentive.

Went out for a family meal, and we were welcomed very warmly by every member of staff at the Harbour Master. The food was excellent and came out in good time despite how busy the place was. What stood out and really added to our very enjoyable night was one member of staff in particular, and that was Pino an Italian waiter from Napoli. He had great energy and was very interactive with customers and other members of staff too. He sang he danced and he had us laughing and smiling the whole night. A big thank you to Pino for being a part of our wonderful night :)
