I always seem to be in a bad mood after coming to this restaurant. I understand that it is a fast food but I believe in loving your job no matter what your doing. I always get the vibes that some staff absolutely hate being there and my presence is a burden upon them. The restaurant seating is very tight, I recommend sitting outside or against the walls to get some amount of privacy. The atmosphere is mostly hectic with staff constantly making you move to while trying to serve other people. The hygiene of the restaurant is very questionable with their chopsticks being fairly dirty with dried sticky residue on them when being put on the table. The cloth they use to clean the tables aren't washed regularly as you can smell oil and food after they clean your table. The food is probably the only reason this place is doing well. The food is amazing and never fails to disappoint but for someone who really cares about the environment just as much as the food I feel that the atmosphere is really holding the food back. Also this restaurant only takes cash***

We had small pho and some spring rolls to share - it was a perfect portion. It’s a generous amount for its price. The restaurant is quite small and cash only - to be honest it feels like home, and an authentic dining experience if you were ever in South Asian having street food. I’m not too bothered by the environment, I find it pretty cosy. The staff were incredibly busy so just try to nudge them a few times and be a bit patient. Overall I’d definitely come back for the food a lot - maybe not for your first dates or expecting fine dining!

Much needed clean meal. So authentic and reasonably priced. Broth was perfect. 2Great food. Will definitely be our go to place before heading to Dublin port on future. 😋

This was the first meal we had when we landed in Ireland. We wanted something on the lighter side versus the heavier Irish meals/pub food around. This place came up on Yelp and on Google as highly rated. I am sad to say that I am thoroughly disappointed. The service is the typical fast joint quick service type of environment but with friendly people. The disappointing factor was on the food itself. The flavors were completely off. The bun bo hue tasted like a basic bland bone broth that they universally used and added maybe a small dollop of what is supposed to be bun bo hue flavoring/essence. It tasted nothing like bun bo hue or smelled like it. If they offered shrimp paste, it wouldn't even have made a difference. The satay on the table didn't even save the dish. The hu tieu reminded me of a broke college student living off of instant noodles but making 1 packet stretch to 2 bowls. It lacks so much flavor and all of the table condiments made no difference. I will say I liked the noodles but everything else was just a bowl of sadness. Now the banh mi... The bread was super stale and my mouth was extremely tired from just eating half. I could not get past the staleness to even enjoy what was inside, which was sad because they had all the fixings. Overall this was edible. My friend ordered the grilled pork rice plate. Side note they don't and can't do an egg with it. The meal itself looked really sad and not appetizing. I can't even compare this place to a cafeteria quality type of meal because this was probably one of the worst meals I've had in a very long time. Granted the items were edible, but if I had a choice I would've not eaten it.. but I did pay for it and I don't like wasting food. At least the noodles were cooked correctly and I wasn't eating a bowl of mush. Overall this place is very disappointing for the food, skip it. The people here are friendly-ish and accommodating (they let my friend practice and work on her Vietnamese when ordering the food).

I've been here for four or five times food and service had been good. BUT today it was a Chinese girl serving and obviously she ignored me and turned back when I already said something to order. Finally when she turned back, I said again but she didn't respond which means she ignored me again.. Secondly, i had some questions about the menu, she wasn't patient at all. The way she talked to me was really getting on my nerves. Thirdly, After we three people ordered food and split the bill. Me and my friends ordered drinks. But that time she didn't even asked are we still splitting and took my cash paid for my friend's drink automatically. I even asked about how much does one drink costs when I got my change back. She answered me like there wasn't a problem. I was in a state of total confuse about the service from the first second to the last. I like the restaurant cuz I like the food but I wouldn't go to one with bad service.

The staff was very sweet but the food was a rip off. We ordered grilled prawn with boiled rice. It was 9.50 and it’s definitely not worth the price. Few prawns, 2 slices of cucumber and rice. That’s all there is. The bubble tea was very bad. Tapioca pearls were rigid and the milk tea flavours tasted so artificial. Wouldn’t suggest bubble tea from here.

I really liked this place. It’s the best Vietnamese food I tried so far. My friend sagi and Thanh Tu recommended it! I had pork bahnmi and a large beef pho. This is place is very busy at lunchtime! Now I know why! The food is delicious! You can order fresh noodles with your pho but you have to ask for them. The bread in the bahnmi is very good. I will return here for sure. Thanks to Sagi and Thanh Tu! 🍲 🇻🇳 🍲 🇻🇳

Lots of vegetarian options, spring rolls were good and many in a portion. I had the spicy vegetarian soup it comes with tofu and vegetarian 'meat'.. seitan I think. Really tasty and huge portion. Best to go in nice weather & sit outside

I quite enjoyed their special pho under this chilly weather. Tables are first come first served based, and food is served very quickly. Great selection of Vietnamese foods. Pho broth was a bit blander than my expectation, but everything was good in overall. The only downside is cash-only. I’d love to try their bhan mi next time! + if you like spicy food, ask the server spicy sauce

*CASH ONLY* Aobaba is one of my favourite restaurants these days! I think the taste is much better than a few years ago👍🏻 Even though it is a very busy restaurant, it is shame that the space is too small, angry staff, and CASH ONLY. But the Pho is so good😂 especially, with extra chillies and chilli oil🌶

Ridiculously good value for money! Warming and flavourful Pho! Huge bowls of it. 100% worth the wait to sit in

Amazing food for that price. I tried the Grilled Chicken pho and Spicy Hue style noodle soup (pork). The flavors were amazing and warm. The service was quick. I really enjoyed it and will be back again to try the rest of the menu.

One of my favourite places in Dublin. It looks simple on the outside but it's extremely delicious, portions are always good sizes, very fresh and you know it's good when you see the queue of people. Please note they only accept cash. My favourite dishes are the spicy vegan pho, the spicy version and the summer prawn rolls. Very friendly service always even if they are super busy!

very nice vietnamese dishes serve here. but one particular girl in the counter is just rude. not smiling at all. gets angry if you ask her to repeat herself. nonetheless, food is okay.

Pretty solid banh mi for Dublin I guess but compared to banh mis I’ve had elsewhere it’s somewhat lacking. Chicken, pickled carrots, cilantro/ cucumber. Could use a light sauce or something to counter the hard tough bread I think. More spice would be great but maybe that’s a choice you can ask for specifically.

I am a regular customer of this restaurant and have come to eat there many times. The restaurant is cash only, the seating is very close together and most of the time it is very busy. The food is probably the only reason for the attraction, I tried a wide variety of food and liked the special pho the best, it was full of ingredients, the portions were huge and tasted great. But the milk tea was not so good and tasted very sweet. The restaurant's hygiene is also poor, the tables are wiped very haphazardly and once I saw a spoon that hadn't been washed very well. The attitude of the staff was very bad, one of the waiters wearing silver rimmed glasses was rude and unhappy every time I ordered and impatient when the food was served.

Best tasty soup ever! I'?m in love with this pho, so tasty and aromatic soup. Small place but with a lot flavor and if you mix the toppings like lemon slice and chilies, it's just perfect🔥💯✨️

Disappointed. Had read the good reviews but the food whilst on the face of it was good value was nothing special. Have to say while we were there it was extremely busy and seems to be a popular spot. Cash only - place doesn't take cards.

This is not the first, nor the second, nor the third, and it will not be the last that I ate there either. Vegetarian noodles are delicious! I love the taste, I recommend this place 100%, my favorite is the spicy hue style noodle soup! Honestly!just go and try it, the portions are big!!!!

One of the best bahn mi sandwiches I’ve ever tried! Would definitely recommend this hidden gem for a visit for authentic Vietnamese food. Definitely coming back for a Pho Bo here. The inside sitting area is quite small and you might end up having your food outside. Make sure you have enough cash on you to pay for the meal as they don’t accept cards, unfortunately. Otherwise, a great spot for a quick lunch break and a gastronomic experience for a fair price.

I was the good reviews hence I came here. This kinda disappointed me to be honest because the noodles were overcooked, broth was bland and there is a lack of toppings, e.g. basil, mint, chili, lime and extra bean sprouts. I’ve had much better pho before. The place was also very crowded. However, I do have to say the service was good. The waiters were very nice to us.

Pho has an extremely good broth, please taste it and drink it all, you'll not regret it. Banh mi (special) -> Very good but pretty expensive for the length, it's pretty small (for me, I'm used to eat banh mi in a whole french baguette)

One of the best restaurants in Dublin. Better than any "fancy" restaurant I've ever been to. Amazing food, great prices, lovely staff. Gave me a lifelong love of Vietnamese food. I go there everytime I'm home.
