Some of the best Mexican I've ever had (and I'm used to Californian Mexican food). The food is just great, tasty, filling, well priced. The atmosphere is lovely and quaint and I found the service very friendly and helpful too. I went back twice in one week. Definitely recommend!

Best Mexican / Tex-Mex food in Dublin, without a doubt. I assumed this would be a small burrito bar style place, but it's a decent sized restaurant. Really affordable prices. I had a Chimichanga & it filled me for less than €10. It was busy when I went, I'm glad they were able to give me a table. Would highly recommend.

Amazing place. Specially the people who work there. The food is made with love, there’s no other way to make it so delicious. VEGANS!! 🚨 I recommend La tostadota dish! ☕️The Mexican coffee is so tasty with light cinnamon flavor 🍮 and I took a chocolate cake with caramel 😋 it’s amazing. One of my favorites places in Dublin. Thanks so much for your kindness 🇲🇽❤️

Food was good, quantity was very less for the price. Nachos are worth trying, had tacos and it was indeed delicious. Out of everything the music and the whole interior of the restaurant was simply awesome. Friendly staffs and they make the place more vibrant. Worth dining in!

Incredibly good food in beautifully colourful authentic surroundings. The food is delicious, they have orange sauce, it felt so genuine but also very keenly priced and absolutely delicious. I had tacos and a burrito and it was so nice and tasty. The Mexican coffee with cinnamon was lovely. Definitely now on the 'favourite' list, a real destination for me now. Haven't felt so inspired about a Mexican in Dublin since Poco Loco on parliament st. Lovely service, friendly quick and attentive.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I ordered 2 chicken tacos and 2 Chorizo and both had 0 flavour and tasted like slop and the cheese tasted like rubber . The Quality of the food was extremely poor and way too over priced. My partner was sick all night after that meal. The only thing I enjoyed was coke and that was only because I was thirsty. There was only one waiter and he tried his best to check on our table. Never going back again.

Very helpful and humorous staff. Decor is brilliant but tables and chairs in smoking area are a bit low. Food was delicious, particularly recommend trying the avocado pie.

So I was really excited about this place. It was everywhere on social media, so I decided to go with a couple of friends and try their food. The first impression the service is very slow like they seat you, but it takes maybe 15-20 minutes before you can order. Then we had a couple of items that arrived wrong, and the waitress looked at us and was like, “ no, you ordered that it is your mistake”, and it wasn’t, as I have quite a few dietary restrictions I am usually pretty sure on what I order. But sure wrong items can arrive my problem was the behaviour of the waitress I think it didn't feel welcoming. And for the food, I had way better Mexican food, I think. Overall I couldn't understand why the place was so hyped, which was quite sad. But yes, the decoration inside the atmosphere was great. You do feel like you might be in Mexico.

Best Mexican food I’ve tried in Ireland. Can’t go wrong with anything here. My favourites are tortas with dark soft bread. Great margaritas that’s not on the menu so definitely ask. Would be great if they also had strawberry margaritas. They also serve spicy beer - micheladas - only recommendation here to remove stock cube from it or make alternative without. Original recipe doesn’t include stock cube and it kills the taste. First time requested without and I was given, second time was told it comes like this prepared and won’t be making me without :(

Lovely taqueria with loads of affordable options. Free sauces on the table is a big plus from me! We ordered tacos, chimichangas, the mini quesadillas, mexican coffee, and the impossible cake. The tacos were amazing, and very filling with only €2 per taco (€2.50 with cheese). We tried the barbacoa (our favourite), pastor, and crispy fish. The fish taco suprisingly delicious, but I found the pastor to be a bit too salty. The chimichanga was really crispy, and the fillings were tasty with peppers and lots of cheese! The mexican coffee was subtly sweet and delicious, and the impossible cake was deliciously moist!

Went to this place with friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was really well made and came in quickly too. I had a chimichanga and the meat was cooked very well and the flavour was amazing. The waiter was very polite and lovely. The staff are welcoming and offered my group nice seats. The price for my meal was reasonable in my opinion. I had vegetarians as part of my company too and there was a good diversity on the menu for those who do not eat meat.

This place is AMAZING! I moved from Los Angeles to Ireland last year and hadn't found any decent Mexican food anywhere. I recently visited Dublin and was determined to find good Mexican food. I found it here! Of course there are minor differences with ingredients that I'm sure they can't get their hands on here, but this was hands down the most authentic and tasty Mexican food I've found in the county. It was affordable, the service was top notch and the restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. The Mango Margaritas are a must. Highly recommend!

Good atmosphere, a restaurant with a very interesting aesthetic, in general the food was very good, except for one of the dishes, but the churritos botaneros left a lot to be desired, it was a fried snack with no flavour and a spicy sauce for a very high price for what it offered. But if we talk about the tacos, I can say that I'm going to repeat without a doubt, very tasty and tender.

Loved this place! Mexican vibes with latin music and Spanish speaking staff. Tacos, nachos (starter), the spicy sauce (picture) and all the rest was great! Would really come back. Only surprise: the tacos were smaller than expected. Go for the babacoa and the chorizo!

We had a lovely evening here, with good food (though spicier than we expected) and good drinks! The staff were all very friendly, too. I can recommend the frozen mango margarita highly!

The food was amazing, the sauces were tasty and the vibes were perfect. 👌 The staff was nice and very helpful. 😍 It's kind of far away from me but sure it deserved the long ride and I guess I might go again to try other options. ✨

Really great spot to go with friends or a partner, they have a bring your own wine option as well which I wish I knew prior to going! We got a chicken chimichanga and a pastor chimichanga which were both fried to perfection and loaded with meat and cheese, they also give a range of salsas on the side which I felt were needed. The tacos were also the perfect side accompaniment, the staff were very friendly and attentive- looking forward to going back again.

I came down to this place wiyh my mexican friends. Being vegan I had a small pool of options to choose from. I tried Tacos and they were simply amazing, the taste was too good. My mexican friends tried other dishes and they loved it too. My recommendation if you are looking for authentic mexican in Dublin then this is the best place for you 😀

Amazing!!! I was so excited to find a truly authentic Mexican restaurant in Ireland during our visit! It’s honestly better than some places we’ve been to back home in Texas. We had a chicken torta and an horchata. Both were equally amazing! Their salsas are soo good and not overly spicy. This place was so good that I mention it as one of my highlights of our trip to Ireland! Holding to go back soon and definitely stop by to get more.

Absolutely delicious food! We got a burrito and torta, both with the pastor pork. It was extremely tasty. The chimichangas seemed very popular, we saw a lot of people ordering them. Would definitely return to try them!

Visited this place on recommendation and wow it was fantastic. We love our Mexican food and can safely say that the tacos here are the best we've had in Ireland. The service from was superb and super friendly also. Michael gracias Yasmin!! We arrived at a reasonably quiet time 2.30pm and were able get an outside table with a lovely vibe to it. The price was very reasonable and the menu was big with lots of options. We WILL be back. Gracias a todos y buen provecho!

I had the pleasure of dining at the El Grito restaurant, and I must say it was an incredible experience. The food was not only delicious but also authentically reminiscent of the flavors I've enjoyed in real Mexico. The atmosphere was equally impressive, transporting me to a place that felt like a slice of Mexico right in my neighborhood. The vibrant decor and friendly staff all contributed to the warm and welcoming ambiance. What's even better is that the prices were reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality of food and the overall experience. I'll definitely be returning to savor more of the flavors and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I felt the Mexican energy, their colours and culture. Lovely staff and amazing atmosphere. I loved it. Oh! If you're with friends or family, try to play tokes tokes. Ask the waitress/waiter for that Mexican game and enjoy it! 🤭🤣

  • 5/5 Tim T. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely interior and friendly staff, it's no surprise why El Grito is so highly rated. They were able to accommodate on a busy evening without a reservation (although just for one person). Both the chimichanga and horchata hibiscus were delicious!

OK at best. Disappointing after the good reviews read. Quirky looking spot. Mango margarita was nice. Got a burrito mixed veg - this was fried onion, then beans, rice and cream. No peppers, mushroom etc. Didn't match description from menu at all. Bland at best. Friends weren't enamoured either, based on food and service I couldn't recommend. Also we asked 4 times for water and also a beer, they never arrived. We gave up finished the food without them. Staff seemed friendly but weren't able to manage to take/deliver the orders. I can only think we got them on a bad night as it was busy, though there was a rota happening for staff dinner as we were there as the server kept changing as they were going off to eat. They also must have been without usual cooks in kitchen so food wasn't up to normal standards??!.

We went there at around 6pm and could easily get the table. The food was really nice we didn't had soo authentic Mexican anywhere else. We took chicken and veggies tacos with cheese and toastados. And drinks were with tequila. I really recommend this place.

  • 2/5 Barbara A. 2 years ago on Google
Not surprised with this place. Although it was quite cheap, they hand you a menu with at least 4 options that are no longer available. I ordered then a taco filled with fish and they didn’t have fish. The cheddar on the nachos was watery and tasteless. The atmosphere and decoration is good but the staff seemed very lost and tired. This place needs some management asap!
