Amazing pub! Several floors makes it an unique pub with a great atmosphere. Great food and home brewn Beers! Bartenders are very friendly and provide you with good advies and fast service. On most evenings there is a live band performing catchy classic Irish songs.

I loved all the different floors, all the bottles displayed around the walls, the wooden stairs, the seatings, the decor and the atmosphere. Great live music, snack menu and beer selection. We really enjoyed spending some time sitting at the bar listening to the music, sharing some snacks and trying their beers.

The Porterhouse Temple Bar was our first bar stop in Ireland. The bartenders there had great recommendations and were very personable. My husband tried the XXXX stout and loved it. He said it was better than Guinness. I had a cider, and it was super tasty. My aunts each had a couple of drinks, and we all split some nachos and shrimp as a little afternoon pick me up. Overall great experience.

Great variety beers, cocktails and other type of drinks. Location is very central and amidst other spots on Temple Bar. Porterhouse is a microbrewery and the taste of their own beers is fabulous. The food is also Nice and matches the beers. You could also do a beer flight and choose 3 beers from the menu. The atmosphere is very nice and there is live music later in the evening. Definitely recommandeer!

Very good local-made beer. For me personally it was quite difficult to find a place serving decent craft beer (not mass produced beer done by huge corporations) in Temple Bar district. Also, the vibe inside is very cool. Prices are OK.

This was a really fun and music filled bar. People were packed especially on the St.Patrick's day. The irish music crew gave us a good treat with their music. All rejoiced in the sweet irish beats and danced all night. The bar counters were all queued up with people. It's a must visit for the weekends and make sure to grab your ID before you get caught by the bouncer outside!

Great and clean pub, cool location with lots of seating and natural light. Very large selection of beers and cocktails, especially coffee related ones. The service is really quick and friendly, and the food is absolutely amazing. Try the beef and porter stew with mashed potatoes, it’s some of the best food I’ve had in Dublin, along with their ham and cheddar croquettes. Would definitely recommend.

It is a pub that need to check. Want a quiet pint, yep this the one. You want a busy buzzing pub, it is indeed! You want to try world beers while having a bit of grub: winner. If you fancy a strong beer, try the Lucifer it'll blow your palate and your taste buds will be dancing with devilish moves. Enjoy.

A great place to go to, to sample Dublin's rich multicultural drinking culture. Peoples from many parts of the globe coming to Dublin always are to be seen drinking in the Porterhouse. The place is teeming with people and is a nice venue to touch base with if you are only arriving in the city. If - like me - you are uncomfortable in a pub environment, don't worry the Porterhouse is extremely convivial and definitely not an unfriendly port of call. With a number of branches in Dublin the Porterhouse Temple Bar is a place to be recommended again and again. Go, if ya fancy a pint, and ya might get more than you fancy. Know what I mean?????

Best meal I had in Dublin. I would especially recommend the Stew, but the burger and Christmas special were great too. Not fond of their own brand beers, but there's over 80 different beers on the menu, from different countries (US, UK, Belgium, France... not the greatest beers from France by the way.)

We hit the jackpot visiting here. Went to the bar and met a barman who told us all about the history of the pub and its distillery. Food is typical pub food all served hot and was tasty. Drinks were all of a reasonable price. Lovely atmosphere spread over the 3 floors. Definitely recommend.

I live in Dublin since 2013 and I never get tired of going to this pub. The music and the atmosphere is always great. The majority off the staff are great too. Nice beer selection with the beer of the month or week, a bit cheaper which is good. I was missing so much this place since the pandemic started that I've been the last two weekends there and I always recommend to my friends visiting or whoever is new in Dublin.

Fantastic spot. Fun pub atmosphere with an excellent selection of craft brews and tasty bar eats. The Irish food is on point. I really enjoyed the Bangers and Mash. The beer selection is rockin. They have a number of their own brews, which we enjoyed sampling in 7oz flight pours. Then the crowning jewel for me: they have a solid selection of craft brews from around Europe, including a fave of mine today - Soup from Garage Beer Co in Barcelona. The staff was friendly and service was good. The decor is nice, and atmosphere is lively yet at a moderate level of noise.

The favourite spot of my Dublin tour. I absolutely loved the experience. Staff were kind and attentive, their beef srew was filling and delicious, and the even interior was super cool. And the band!!!!! oh my god, so so so talented. Fell in love!!!!! You can enjoy the full band sound, and all of the members are fan-fxxxin-tastic. So glad I visited here. Live music starts at 9.30 on the second floor. Make sure you find your seat beforehand. But I have to mention that they have screens and a decent sound system where you can enjoy the music basically anywhere you are sitting. Oh dear, no one should miss this place. Best recommended!!!!!

A big pub, where you can be sure to find a seat. They have a big list of beers from all over the world and their own beer. The food is very tasty (we had some small dishes, prawns and chips). They have live music as well. Very friendly staff. Great experience. Would definitely recommend.

It's an okay pub in the Temple Bar area in the city centre. I found it food and service quality was a lot better years ago. Also you can get table only if you want to order food otherwise with drinks only you can sit on stools at the bar or just by the wall, so if it's a few people it's kind of awkward because no space for your jackets, bags etc. Not so comfortable. I ordered hot port for my friend and my self and we both agreed it wasn't nice. It tasted very watery, not port at all. I would say quality massively dropped in the past couple of years.

  • 4/5 Mister J. 4 years ago on Google
Very cool venue. Very loud (too loud) live music on Saturday. At least four levels. Multiple bars. Ambiance and decorations are great. Bar is consistent with the other porterhouse bars (eg London and NYC). They sell their own beer. If you like Guinness, try and Oyster Stout. It's very good. Prices are more reasonable than the other bars around.

Great pub with 3 floors for live music. Good food and a massive MASSIVE range of craft beers and imports. Includinig i think 10 micro brews that used to be produced on site. Ask for the sampler trays 3x 1/3rd pints a great and cost effective way of tasting your way through drink history

Very nice interior made with most care and detail. Check out the old fan system on the ceiling! Hundreds of beer choices, but the specials are the porterhouse brewed stouts, porters and ales. On top a nice choice of fresh made martinis and cocktails. A top choice in the temple bar area, worth a detour!

Great bar with live music every night. Beer prices are normal but there is a wide choice, I would even say all the choices with beers from all over Europe. They also have their own beer which is cheaper and very good. Be careful however to check the price you pay because sometimes the servers get confused.

This is a really neat place. Multi layers in this building with multiple seating areas as well as bar areas. Great food selection and beverage selection. If you have a hard time selecting comfort food....try the sampler platter. Wings and onion rings are amazing! Just don't expect to find a Guinness here though. 😉 They have a stage for live bands but the layout of the building allows you to feel a part of that or not depending where you decide to sit. Group meetings or gatherings? Not a problem, they have space for that as well. Nice location near the river with many things to see and do within walking distance.

The first Brew House in Dublin as they say have a lovely different rock band playing every day of the week.It had a variety of beer made by them as well as beers from across the world. Had about 3 floors where the band plays on the first. A place which will surely be visited again and again.

I pub irlandesi dovrebbero essere tutti così, ci tornerò sicuramente.

I haven't been here in years and overall, it's a good spot for a drink. The staff were nice and the outdoor area seems good. It can get very busy here though but I guess it's easy to see why. There are a lot of drinks to choose from here if you want to experiment with different drinks. Do give the Porterhouse in Temple Bar a try.

Well... Beers are good (you have a lot of choice) but don't eat there ! We have eaten here with friends and we were sick during all the night and on the morning too... Maybe we can say that it's was a mistake, but I saw in other reviews that it's not the first time somebody is sick after eating there ! So, I don't recommend it ever if beers were good. We have eaten : two fries, nachos and fish and chips 🤢😞 So bad idea ! (With a photo as a proof we were there)

I travel to Ireland 4/5 times a year and well this has become a very welcoming regular spot. So much choice when it comes to beer. Some amazing IPA’s with lots of their own and plenty of guest beers. However Do Not expect to find Guinness here as they don’t sell it! (Strange for a bar in Dublin) but they have their own version that is super tasty. I wont hesitate to keep going here.

Great food. Always great service...at first but that's the same with every restaurant in Europe. Tons of spaces to eat and beer, ipas, craft beer, etc. I did really enjoy the menu and ipa choices. Unless you want a peroni and a steak with googoo berries and mushrooms marrow bone sauce then go somewhere else. Preferably a taste factory. Thank you.

Excellent brewery/pub with wonderful decor and a huge range of beers. Plenty of seating over multiple floors with a small stage for live music. Porter was lovel. Glad I dropped in even if it was initially just dodging the rain.

Great atmosphere and good food! The live music is amazing, but unfortunately new laws in Dublin require all customers to be over 18 past 9pm. The staff were great and gave us a heads up about the curfew, letting us know that we could finish our dinner and enjoy a bit of the music before we had to leave.

Great pub that serves a huge variety of beer. They brew their own craft beer as well, which you can try either as a pint, or a group go 3 tasting platter. You can choose different types of unique and tasty beer, so it’s a definite place to stop if you enjoy beer

Good location. Good beer selection. Let down by stingy food portions. €14 euro for wings and received a tasty but very meagre portion of 10 wings. Considering the beer is pretty pricey they should do a lot better here to give customers value for money. Hopefully they read this review and make some improvements.

Went here for drinks a Saturday night. The drinks were expensive, but at least it was much less crowded compared to the other pubs at the temple bar district. Beautiful pub with live music. Plenty of seating available. The band was highly talented and the singer was very entertaining. We had a blast. Next time I'm in Dublin I'm coming back!

I loved the food and the beauty of the bar, plus the live music was so great. All the bottles built into the walls was something amazing to see and the bar is huge, it has like 4 or 5 floors. The staff was great and the menu was complete and some of the best oysters.

If you need something else than traditional beer Porterhause will get a wide selection of craft beer from and outside Irleand. Nice interiors, sometimes live music is playing, allot of places to sit. I heard that the food is great, but on last two visits I was full so I didn't had any.

This pub is crazy with its atmosphere and music, food and drinks were good. It has 3 floors if I remember well, the only problem was that we had to go up and down the pub to spot a table where to seat and join. Staff is kind and service is good. Worth a visit 👍🏼
