Cute little cafe where they serves a lot of pastries like muffin, scones. The raspberry scones were gone really fast. Ordered a cappuccino and it taste really good. The full breakfast is kinda plain- comes with toast, mushroom, tomato, 1egg, 3 sausages, 2 bacons and blood sausage. I would suggest try others rather than getting the full breakfast. Seats are available inside and outside.

We went by it was busy, spent 30 minutes looking for somewhere else, only to come back 😂, it was worth it. Scones, BLT, stew and coffees all very good. This is a busy place so be patient you'll be glad you did. It is a small establishment so even eating inside is cramped. There is some outside seating. Inside is not handicap accessible. Also the service is exceptional ❤️

Fantastic breakfast! Full Vegetarian was at least as good as the full ‘regular’ and the (decaf) coffee was perfect. Didn’t have space left for the incredible looking pastries. The owner is magnificent and the locals as warm as one would expect from such a place.

Good quality food overall. Very tasty mocha. Scones were fresh and spot on. Generous sized servings. Prices were fairly high tho, and the wait was pretty long. Was a busy time of day, however. Plan ahead.

Best breakfast in Dublin! Everything is so fresh and the bread is to die for. Perfect poached eggs and friendly staff. I would suggest getting an oat milk latte as the foam stays through the whole drink! We went two days in a row after trying to convince ourselves to try a new place for breakfast we ended up back here because it was that good.

I liked this Cafe. Lots of Dubliners and locals do as well. Food was hot and fresh, it did take a little bit of time, but they have a small kitchen and lots of orders. Everyone was working hard and keeping up the pace as best as they could. My lady enjoyed her Full Irish breakfast, and she greatly devoured it. One can never go wrong with a classic breakfast order. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Wrap, and while I thought it was good, I did not love it. Before I had even tasted it, when I went to pick it up, a plethora of grease came flying out. Now I knew was I was getting into ordering a chicken bacon wrap, but this was a bit of overkill. Along with the greasy mess, flavor was good, but in my opinion it was overwhelmingly salty. It was on the borderline of almost TOO salty. Along with the French fries it was almost impossible with the salt content. The only saving grace was the fresh small side salad that was able to break the saltiness. The salad was delicious and freshly made. I believe they make their salad dressing in house. Their french fries/chips were beautifully thin, and piping hot. Exactly as they should have been. I did enjoy them, but couldnt eat a lot. In the end i had to choose between the wrap or the french fries/chips. I chose the fries/chips. I would rather not do that. I would rather enjoy my entire meal when I support a local business. I wouldn't order the chicken bacon wrap again if I was to go back. I would explore other wraps or other parts of the menu. They had some neat vegetarian options and some paninis that looked delicious. Their coffee and pastry selection was awesome. Very much eye candy. I would recommend this Cafe and come back to visit them myself. They have a lot of potential and are very much worth a try. I recommend this Cafe. I hope they continue to succeed with a few tweaks!

Not recommend breakfast menu. However scones are amazing. If you go here around 9. You can get warm and soft scones.

We were in Dublin for four days and made time visit this cafe two times. The place has a cozy atmosphere that you will enjoy. The music is kind of 60-90s and you recognize most of the music. The place overall is nice but a little tight. It was crowded both times we visited so it was hard to find a table. The staff is friendly. Overall great food and generous serving. I recommend the vanilla and pear muffins. My husband loved the blueberryscone and mixed berry muffins. For hot dishes we tried the beefstew, irish breakfast and chicken panini. The Stew is exquisite👌 tastefull and keeps you stuffed. Everything tasted great. The prizes are reasonable, the stew was very prizewothy. If your in town and get a sweet tooth or overall would like some great food I really recommend Keoghs cafe.

The greatest muffin in Dublin, in my opinion. The atmosphere of this cafe in the city's core is one of kindness and excellence. never empty Although I have yet to experience a treat inside, I am a frequent consumer of the takeaway. fantastic work; try it!

Went to Keoghs with my daughter to show her the difference to a Starbucks. There was a line out the door when we got there! Not surprised... the coffee is lovely and the pastries are fab. We got our 2 lattes and several pastries to go. Coffee is rich, deep flavoured. Just delicious. The pastries are just amazing. Highly recommended.

Really nice and cozy café with scones that are really as legendary as their reputation would lead you to believe. I was there at 9.45 on a Sunday morning and got a warm raspberry scone fresh out of the oven with delicious butter and fruit jam. Unfortunately, the café really is rather small, so it's overcrowded with customers at certain times, although many of them are just for take-away there. You also shouldn't arrive just minutes after they have opened because it takes them quite some time to bake their self-made scones (in my case, I only got to choose between two flavours of scones that were already baked, despite having arrived there more than an hour after they had opened their doors). While I ate my scone, there was also a disrupting incident because a drunk man kept annoying the other customers. We therefore left a bit hastily and I would have wished the staff to handle the problem and talk to him. Otherwise, it was a really great breakfast experience.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Keogh's Cafe, and I must say, it's an absolute haven for coffee enthusiasts! As a cappuccino lover, I was thrilled to find that their cappuccino was a masterpiece – perfectly made, with a gorgeously frothy texture and a flavor that was truly exceptional. The attention to detail in crafting this coffee was evident, and it left me thoroughly impressed. Beyond the exceptional coffee, I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming cash counter attendant who took my order with a smile. Their warm demeanor added to the overall pleasant experience. The variety of muffin options caught my eye, and I couldn't resist trying the banana walnut muffin. It was a revelation – unbelievably soft and bursting with flavor. The balance between the sweetness of the banana and the nutty richness of the walnuts was just right, making it an absolute treat. For a heartier option, I opted for the chicken sandwich, and I was not disappointed. The food quality was top-notch, and the sandwich was delicious. The flavors melded together beautifully, and each bite was a delightful blend of taste and texture. Overall, my visit to Keogh's Cafe was a delightful journey of flavors and hospitality. From the exceptional cappuccino to the delectable banana walnut muffin and the satisfying chicken sandwich, every aspect of my experience was superb. I can confidently say that this cafe is a must-visit for coffee aficionados and food enthusiasts alike. I look forward to returning to Keogh's Cafe for another memorable experience!

Really nice place to take tea and scones / muffin for example. They are opened quite early and closing usually around 8pm, that is good! They does not seem to only do breakfast and tea, and that is quite nice if you are hungry at any time of the day. You always have the choice 😉

Very nice scone! They have so many different options it was a bit hard to decide which one I want. I ended up getting a vanilla & pear one....it was delicious with Flora original and homemade strawberry (or could be raspberry) jam. Crusty on the top / outside and biscuit-textured within. I really enjoyed the crusty bit! It’s my favorite part!! Also got a blueberry muffin. It was ok. Nothing special. The coconut shavings on the muffin top was a nice touch though. I would definitely go back for another scone. Will try a different flavor next time. I wish they have a label for each type on display....I had to ask the girl behind the counter as there were only 2 labels and I saw about 5 different types of scones.

Best coffee in the city !!! I love coffee especially for me there is nothing better than a macchiato. It's very difficult to find somewhere that actually does it right outside of Italy, and in this place it's served to perfection. All the staff is great from the baristas to the waiters , Italians , Spanish , Irish etc. Thank you for making my day better every single time I go. Ohh and last but not least you must try the muffins.

Absolutely amazing little spot in Dublin! Visited just before they closed, but happily served us for some food & coffee. Two gentlemen that served us were very friendly & warm. They even put muffin for take away because my baby start crying. I will definitely come back anytime I'm in town. Highly recommended 👌👌👌

I ate here outside on a Sunday when they were busy. The seats outside on the street are lovely and there was great people watching on the cobblestone streets. The service was slow, I can't remember when they got the food to me but it felt like 20 minutes, it also took a reminder to get my tea. They were very kind about the situation explaining that the list of orders was exceptionally long. They also have me extra consideration with the cheese selection in the omelette. The blueberry and walnut scone I had in the late morning was dry and I didn't have more than a couple bites. It isn't want I'm looking for in a scone, but if you enjoy them crumbly and dry this is the place for you. If I had more time or the gumption to speak up I would have requested ketchup, vinaigrette, or some sort of sauce to add flavor to the spinach, salmon and cheese omelette. Had a nice talk to some Americans sitting next to me. Pleasant location, not my favorite breakfast though. It is okay, the food can be healthy and it is filling. They were very busy the morning that I was there in the second day of the year so this may effect their service. The scone was a disappointment, I wouldn't come back for it. Great location and fun atmosphere.

Quite comfortably the best cafe in Dublin. Fantastic atmosphere helped by good music and extremely friendly staff. The food in general is gorgeous with a great selection of pastry's or muffins if you need a quick bite. Couldn't recommend it anymore.

A great cafe down a quiet street in the centre of town. Indoor and outdoor seating. Open early, great breakfasts, which I usually have, as well as meals all day, served by knowledgeable staff. They are a friendly bunch and are attentive to your needs. Even if you are full from eating here, be sure to take some muffins as takeaway. They are the best in the city ( the blueberry coconut is amazing)

The hot drinks were really tasty! However, the time taken for them to be made was very long as well as the food. The breakfast food seems overpriced with there only being €1 difference between the large and small breakfast. The breakfast was tasty though! No teaspoons were stocked so we had to use huge spoons for the drinks.

The super food omelette with basil, sun dried tomato & avocado was the biggest omelette of my life.,. And it was delicious but I couldn’t finish it. I asked a lady how many eggs were used and she said 8! Wow! The mocha was excellent too. My concierge at the west bury hotel recommended this place.

Excellent coffee and breakfasts. I had the big breakfast, which was delicious and my wife ordered the omelette, which was huge and very tasty. As a tourist to Dublin, I’m glad I discovered this place, which was right next tot he hotel I stayed at (Wren).

First and foremost the food at Keogh's is excellent. The missus and I both had an Irish stew (served with mash) that was perfectly succulent and delicious. We went at lunch time on a weekend so the place was absolutely packed... We just about managed to get a table! Price was reasonable, staff were run off their feet but friendly enough. All the other food looked delicious, too.

Our first time visiting Keoghs Cafe, we found the staff to be very friendly and the coffee was really good here. Our Meals were all delicious and good portions. All of our food and drinks came out quite fast considering the restaurant was quite full. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you Keoghs Cafe.

Great food and atmosphere. The full breakfast was delicious and huge portions. Enjoyed everything about it. The lattes were extremely good, especially the hazelnut. So good I ordered two. My only gripe is the Wai time for food is extremely long. I think we waited for about 50min before our food came out. I would go here again if I saw that there wasn't a large lineup.

We stopped in on our first morning in Dublin. It's a nice little cafe that also serves full breakfasts. The service was good, the coffee was excellent. The scones were a bit dry but came with delicious jam so that helped. If we came back we would try the full breakfast.

This us a great place some history (25 years I think?). It's known to have great scones and baked goods for breakfast. The coffee is good, and the food is traditional Irish, which is great for tourists. Bathroom is clean as well. My only disappointment is they don't take American Express credit cards, but not many places here do.

I wanted to write a review based on an experience I had in Keoghs Cafe. My wife and I have recently had to readjust to life dealing with COVID. I have had to close a restaurant which I have owned and operated since 2007 in Dublin and Mandy unfortunately lost her job with Aer Lingus. We popped into Keoghs cafe as we were waiting for people to come and buy stock and furniture from the restaurant. We ordered two flat whites and a muffin. Mandy realised she had picked up the wrong bag and consequently left her card at home. I rushed inside to cancel the coffees and muffin. A lady who I now know as Catherine insisted I take the coffees and muffin and enjoy and not to worry about payment. The flag whites were arguably some of the best I have tasted and the the muffin was delicious. I will return and pay for the coffees but first I wanted to say the beauty of humanity exists in all different places. If ever we needed an unintentional arm around my shoulders, I needed it that day. Thank you Catherine of Keoghs Cafe Dublin, to you it was a wonderful gesture, to us it was everything ❤️

  • 3/5 Alan H. 3 years ago on Google
The staff were all lovely, cannot make a single complaint about them. But as it is a café I have to say, the Coffee was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was decent, but not somewhere you'd want to spend a while relaxing. Can't comment on the rest of the menu but the coffee is not worth your time.
