I have always liked this wee bar. Staff are very friendly and the stout is good. It's a great place for post-match pints, whether it be football, rugby or soccer.

Stopped here a couple of times for my 30th. The barman Garvan is a legend. There's a lot of negative reviews here from tourists saying he is rude, this is not the case. This is them not understanding local humour and craic. He could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend this place, used to be the city morgue too

Fantastic traditional bar serving Guinness so good I had to have a second to be sure. I wasn’t wrong!! A definite 11/10 Visit this brilliant bar every time you are in Dublin, it’s memorable, friendly and what a traditional bar should be.

A small room traditional old pub. I stopped for a Guiness late at noon time. I asked for finger food to pair my beer only to be told that no food is served. Very few people around and much quiet site at this time. A few people were sipping their drinks sitting on stools next to a couple of black barrels in a small yeard at the entrance door. Walls are painted in dark colors and fully covered by pictures and ads signs. I was impressed by the decorative tiles behind the bar! I hope place is more vivid at a later time within the day. If you are fan of the Thin Lizy irish rock group take a photo of the Phil Lynott bronze statue just opposite the pub entrance door.

Walked a long way as our local friend told us that this place had 'the best guiness in Dublin' however, when we arrived we were ushered out by who we believe was the owner as 1) we were English and 2) we were a group of 9... The initial judgement of our group was disappointing given our professional statuses, however he agreed to serve us all a half guiness if we had them outside and went straight away. Guiness may have been ok (although I'm not a fan) however I would certainly not return given the response we received, very disappointed.

Love this pub. Perfect size, usually clears out a few hours after the after-work rush. One of my top 3 in Dublin!

McDaids is a good spot if your looking for a great pint of Guinness and as I like to call the aufella bar vibes. Its small, very little tables so your not always guaranteed a sit. As with all bars in that area the drinks expensive. Overall a nice little bar for that chats and a drink with friends.

Excellent little pub in the heart of Dublin's action. A quiet crowd and very friendly, since they had to run Mr Behan out years ago. The Guinness went down well.

Mens toilets need a good scrub, including floors which looks like is hasn't had a good wash with bleach for a while, ladies toilets didn't fare much better, its a beautiful olde world pub with high prices. There were 3 staff at the time, not friendly, pity I won't be back unless it gets a good clean( all over )If toilets are like that, whats the cellar like, and underneath the counter?? ⁷

It's a cool spot and the Guinness is great. But the staff really seem stressed and don't want to be there.

Excellent old-world pub that serves traditional drinks. Perfect pints of Guinness every time. A range of beers on tap and bottled. Very friendly staff. No food served here. Accepts cards / phone / cash. Wish it was less well known so I’d always get a seat.

We visited many pubs in Dublin, over four days. Left many a great review. Unfortunately, although the pub itself has great character, the atmosphere, the actual temperature and the service were stone - cold.

I have been to this pub and like it alot. A lovely pint of Guinness in it. It may be a paramilitary IRA pub but I would not let that stop you going here. It has paramilitary IRA griatti in the gents toilets for months now which is intimating a little which leads me to think that. It is perfect locaton and lovely pub to meet for a pint.

Another traditional Irish pub in central Dublin. Guinness was excellent, funnily enough. Staff very friendly and just a fun feeling

Passed by here earlier & called in as I haven't been here for a very, very long time. It's a lovely pub and the barman was pleasant. Had to leave after one pint, though. The place was freezing 🥶. No heat on. Nice pub otherwise.

Good location but pub is a dump. There’s traditional and a bit run down but this place is just filthy. Nothing nice about the place. Wasn’t packed but every table full of glasses. Toilets were manly. Place needs a good clean. Drank our 4 beers (€29) and left. Would never go back.

Dropped in for a nightcap ( or two ) after dinner Saturday evening. Cosy little spot just off Grafton St. Very friendly staff & close to Luas & Taxis 🚕 when you're ready to head home. Will definitely be back.

Really great place- despite being off such a busy street, when we went in there it was empty (I'm sure it's busier later in the evening!) but this was a plus for us. Very kind bartender and fantastic Guiness of course! Highly recommend. We went there on my Dad's recommendation and he hasn't been there for decades, so clearly it has held up a good standard.

Really cool old pub with lots of tradition and the stain glass was pretty neat too. Stop in for a pint!

I always feel mildly let down. The atmosphere is ok but always feels like it's missing something. The pints of Guinness are ok but not supreme. For an old pub the bar is always very high for quality Guinness. Kehoes down the road is worth visiting.

Despite being in the centre of town off of Dublin’s biggest shopping street, McDaids has the feel of a traditional irish pub. Traditional interior, friendly and fast bar staff, and some stools for outside seating. Recommended for an easy going pint.

Unpretentious boozer - one of my favourites. Generally good ambience; popular with locals, very few tourists usually. Has a genuine Dublin vibe. Good pint; staff relatively friendly.

👍👍 Fantastic indoor entertainment venue in Dublin that holds up to 13,000 people. It's really well marshalled and queueing is kept to a minimum for drinks, food, merchandise and toilets. If you find the ground floor queues start to grow, just go upstairs for smaller queues. There's great sound and visi...
