Service atrocious. This used to be our number one spot after the cinema but I think I might give this place a miss until the staff are trained properly. Ordered a jug of larger and 2 JD & one coke. I was charged for 3 JD & 1 coke until noticing. Also given very warm glasses and waited until given cold glasses (just put the glass in ice as you would making a cocktail), I also wanted the JD separate and not in the same glass hence the 2 JD ordered and not a double JD. I was so frustrated at this point, I just asked for a separate glass with ice and I did it myself. To the (new(ish)) management, I’m an Operations Manager in F&B for a very sought after hotel in Dublin, running 5 bars and 1 restaurant so I have the knowledge and experience to tell you that this simply isn’t good enough. I would understand if you was very busy but you wasn’t. Training should be consistent and I can tell in the Woolshed it simply isn’t. Quite annoyed with this visit.

A great place to grab a bit to eat before you go to the cinema next door or head out for the night. We had booked a table in advance which was lucky because they were broadcasting many sporting events on the day. It was quiet packed when we went in but got a table upstairs immediately. As usual I had spent a day or so going throught the food & drinks menu trying to narrow down what to have. We had a lovely waiter called Caio who took or drink order & left us to decide on our food. As per previous reviews I found it strange paying immediately each time we ordered something but looking around at how busy it was I completely understand & found it handy not having to track down a waiter later on. We ordered large chicken wings with Louisiana sauce, medium chicken wings with barbecue sauce, the burger of rhe month (Tex Mex), crispy bbq chook and cheesy garlic fries. Absolutely yum. We also ordered Hop House (on tap) for himself and a fab Margarita followed by a nice strawberry daquiri. The one thing I would highlight is that if you don't like sports or loud music this might not be the ideal spot over the weekend when there's a busy sporting calendar. We hope to got back & might see if there is a "quieter" time to eat & chat.

A little strange that they don’t let you open a tab. Staff were extremely friendly. Really appreciate the staff being so accommodating. We had no reservations and they were able to get us setup to watch F1 Racing and my NFL team. Huge TVs everywhere, would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to watch sports in Dublin.

one of the best pubs to watch sports in Dublin, big screens and tvs throughout the bar, 3 spaces with bars and drinks and sells wonderful food and snacks. during the world cup it was just like a stadium, with lots of people cheering and music before and after the game, including live participation.

It's a nice big place and the karaoke was a good bit of fun. Nachos were really disappoting at €14 and waiter service was slow at times.. Drinks not bad. It's worth a visit to watch sports or do the Karaoke night.

Best sports bar in Dublin but SMELLS TERRIBLE. Entire bar area smells of sewage. Probably due to poor drainage. However large TV’s showing large range of sports, good beers and food. Great bar, bad smell.

We walked 25min to go there with my sister for karaoke night. Only to wait one hour after putting our request on the website and, after asking the dj when it would be our turn to sing (some people were already singing for the second or third time), being told that a lot of people wanted to sing too and that we could wait or leave. It was already 1am, there was only 20/30 people left but I guess that they were to busy selecting the ones who were gonna sing to be polite. It was our last night in Dublin and we were really sad that our trip ended on that note. I understand it’s not really the bar’s fault but I would’ve wanted someone to tell me before I go that karaoke nights are a hard no.

Nice place to chill with friends 🍻 Considering the current inflation, prices are still reasonable at this place👍 Platter was more than sufficient for 3 people 🍱

My family and I went there on Saturday with friends. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was not the tastiest. We all had different hamburgers. I found my burger to be very bland. I am not fussy when it comes to food but the price I paid for 3 people I was expecting the burger to have more flavour. Overall it is a nice place and the staff were excellent.

My go-to place on each time when there is a match or Brazilian party. Some beer pints are fairly priced there, but beers in Dublin are getting expensive everywhere. The place has a very sporty atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Each day there is a different event. Such as bingo, Karaoke etc.

Went for the Rugby World Cup final. Staff were very nice. Place was packed and the vibes were great. Food was in collaboration with a South African food truck and it seems the pub really leans into the community for the sports that they're showing. There were lines generated outside the pub and some friends couldn't get in which was expected over the World Cup Final but even arriving 4 hours early didn't help. Lovely time. Lovely place.

We visited the Wool Shed last week for something quick and easy to eat after work. I need to eat a gluten free diet so I was pleased to see allergens clearly listed on the menu which is crucial. The choices were a little limited but there were gf burger buns available so that's a positive. I went for the cheddar bacon fries. The cheddar is that awful plastic cheese sauce which smothered the fries, what a pity. €8, a bit pricey. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken wings, I would have loved to try them but none were gluten free. I probably wouldn't return here for food due due my dietary requirements and the quality, but it's a good bar for a few drinks, especially their pink gin cocktail.

Great sports bar to go and watch F1 at, we didn't have a booking and they were able to find us a table and watch the race, Irish coffee was very good and the spice bowl was great for food

Very good sports bar, 2 big screen in the middle and loads of tvs showing matches of any sports. The food is mid but it's pretty cheap so it's fine.

EDIT: I still think this is a great place to watch a game, and I’m not changing the 5 star review, but I did have a recent disappointing experience here that I wanted to share: First, I ordered some wings and asked if they have Buffalo sauce. They do not. That’s fine, and if they had just said so then I would have been happy to pick something else, but for some reason they told me they DO have Buffalo sauce and then just gave me wings with Louisiana sauce instead. When I brought them back, they tried to tell me that Buffalo sauce and Louisiana sauce are the same thing. (In case any other Americans are reading this with horror and thinking that people in Ireland just don’t know the difference between Buffalo sauce and Louisiana sauce, I have gotten wings at dozens of other places in Ireland and they all have known that Buffalo and Louisiana sauce are very different things, so I think this is just a unique issue to Woolshed, or even just unique to that particular staff member.) Second, later when I was eating, a guy randomly asked me to get up out of the booth so he could stand on the bench where I was sitting to hang up something on the window. I’m still not sure if he was an employee or a customer, but the whole thing happened right in front of the manager, and I was a little surprised and disappointed that the manager would a) allow someone to stand directly on one of the booths in front of customers, and b) kick a customer out of their seat while they were in the middle of eating so they could stand on their seat and hang something. I’ll still probably go back to watch baseball and I am still keeping the review at 5 stars, but I did think it was important to give that feedback. - One of the only places in Dublin that will put on a baseball game for you.

Me, my husband and his friend went to watch the Final of the Rughy yesterday. There was a big queue to get into the place and it was overcapacity. We were standing in a spot between the stairs, security said that there it used to have chairs before, but then a supervisor came to chase us away saying that we should go up or down. I said we tried to find a place but we couldn't. When I asked where we suppose to stand he said he didn't know, and IF WE WERE NOT HAPPY WE SHOULD LEAVE. How a Supervisor talks like this to a customer!?!? The whole Staff works very hard. But this guy don't deserve to work there.

My partner and I went in to get some food along with our baby we were sat down at the table asked for a menu and the staff were originally polite, My partner then had started feeding the baby when one of the door men who we had just walked past to gain entry to the restaurant, came in to us and says “ how did you get in here “ extremely rude to my partner and asked us to leave… apparently you can’t go for food at 5pm in the day with a baby in their bar because of the match being on TV which I wanted to watch while eating food, while walking out a lady tied to explain why we couldn’t be there my partner politely explained to her that we were regular customers and have never had the problem before, I then proceeded to tell them that it is a disgrace and my partner was in the middle of feeding the baby and your staff are telling us to get out all we wanted was some food and to watch the match the baby wasn’t even crying or being loud we won’t be back.

I went to the wool shed for a mentalist show. The ambience of this sports bar is quite good. Several indian artists perform their act at the wool shed. It is located very close to Dominick luas stop. Their starter platters are quite filling!

Went to watch the AC Milan game last Saturday evening but was refused entry at the door. The reason given was that there was a private function on. So much for this being the spot where Milan fans can get together for their games.

We were there for the super bowl so the place was packed! The food and drinks are quite fairly priced but the best part was the service. We had trouble finding a table and the barman and server were extremely helpful and friendly even if they were in a rush. Would definitely recommend reserving a table for big sporting events.

The staff is amazing and the location is cool, but the food is less cool because it was untasted, nothing special. I was here to watch a football game with more than 10 people, and everything went well. We had made reservations in advance. We will return for a drink without a doubt, but I'm not sure if we will also eat.

Should be a good place to watch an NFL game but poorly managed. They are playing the Pats-Jets game on the big screen but are playing the audio for a channel that is showing a formula 1 race in an hour. I asked two staff members to change the audio but they politely said they couldnt, so i found a manager and explained the situatuon. He rudely blew me off, so now we are listening to an hour of commercials instead of the sound of the game everyone is here to see. Everyone around me is complaining about the same thing Again, staff were very nice and tried to help but were obviously being told no.

Sports bar, it's ok for a bite to eat and some beers, reasonable prices, very lively and can get quite loud. Younger crowd. It's a shame what used to be the smoking area at the front of the pub is no longer used for its purpose. Instead it's for outdoor dining due to covid. It's a pity, alot of the bars in Dublin have done this when smokers have always been the ones using these areas in the past. Aside from that, it's an enjoyable and cost friendly with attentive staff.

Cocktail menu was great, there was so much options for way cheaper than any other cocktail bar. They quality was just as a good, and they gave huge servings, not like those pretentious cocktail bars that give you a spit of alcohol in a glass and charge you €13-€14. Staff were all dead sound and accommodating too.

Amazing place. Watched a football game there and it was really busy but their amazing staff served everyone on time and with jokes and enthusiasm. Cocktails were nice as well as chicken wings . It wasn’t allowed to sit inside that time . But it looked lovely. Highly recommend)

I'm always here for quality food and drinks before my movies. For food, I recommend chicken & vegetable burger. The size is just the perfect amount for a meal. Very juicy for both grilled chicken and veg. You can taste the natural subtle sweetness of the vegetable. I like the balance between meat and veg. That's five a day in one meal. Based on how they presented this burger, I assume they will do good on both grilled meat and grilled vegetable. If you're not hungry, get the skinny fries here. It's probably one of THE BEST SKINNY FRIES IN THE WORLD. I wrote this review mainly because of their fries. They know what they are making. The fries are soft inside but extremely dry and cripsy outside. 1) They keep the temperature right to make the texture right and 2) they dry the oil before serving. Maybe they have an air fryer in the kitchen, but I do appreciate that a lot.
