We had a lovely stay at Buswells for two nights in June. The hotel is perfectly located for walking around the city, preferable to the busy and touristy Temple Bar area. The customer service was excellent; I didn't love the first room we were given (right beside the elevator) so they were very good to switch our room which was bigger and quieter so we really appreciated that. The water pressure is amazing, the beds are comfortable and the old world charm is lovely and welcoming. We had cocktails in the bar in the evening and scones in the morning (delicious coffee too....). The staff and management are friendly and accommodating and I would definitely recommend this hotel in the future.

Very nice hotel with a great location. Polite staff. Handy car parking on 2 minutes walk with a privileged 24 hrs price for the hotel guests. The breakfast is decent with a good variety of cold and hot offers. The double rooms are a bit small but perfect for a comfortable sleep with huge king sized beds. Everything inside was sparkling clean including the bathroom. Well decorated foyer with a romantic fireplace.

Great location. The F&B Manager is an outstanding guy, he goes out of his way to engage with customers. Pleasant conversation. Bar staff are also excellent and friendly. Night porter very helpful pleasant friendly guy. Stayed in room 110 which sides onto Kildare Street. Opening windows is not recommended due to street noise. Looking onto entrance to National Museum. Room was very small and bed ( comfortable) was just a few feet from room door, corridor light was quite visible in the gaps ( all around) between the door frame and door. Room windows were old sash windows with single pain of glass. Quaint surroundings with pretentious towards grandeur. Some of the woodwork seemed to have years of coats of paint. Carpets were muted. Overall excellent location, disappointingly small cramped room. If I can't comment anything further that's positive, I'll comment nothing further at all.

We had a great stay here. Staff is friendly and the hotel is in a great location. Very clean, decent restaurant downstairs if you don’t feel like heading out. Super helpful with suggestions of what to see/do and also helpful with arranging transport to the airport.

Very stuffy and unaccommodating room. Walls and windows were super thin. Very loud and hard to sleep. We could barely stow two suitcases in this room, and I found it to be a pretty big misrepresentation of the room size sold to us via the website. Should have known better. The staff wasn't the most helpful. We asked for a recommendation for any restaurant that was open the night we got in (we arrived at 830), and all they could say was to order via Deliveroo! We walked around the corner and found three restaurants open. This is basic info the hotel should have. The only con is that it is near Grafton, which did nothing for me. All in all, a pretty unremarkable stay. Expensive and not so impressive. I recommend you stay elsewhere to get your value. This isn't worth it.

Charming hotel in a great location. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom had a great shower, the breakfast was filling and delicious, and the service was excellent. There’s a little bit of street noise during the day, but very quiet at night when it counts. There are a lot of things to see too within just a few minutes walk. We loved our stay here!

A very nice stay in Dublin at Buswells. Everyone at the hotel was kind and charming. We felt warm and happy everyday. The location was good, close to Temple Bar, Grafton St, and St. Stephen’s Green. Thank you very much.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This site will compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I've been staying here for years. If you choose this place you won't be let down. Location location location! Walk to SO MANY places in Dublin. Pick a direction and go. Also has easy access to Hop On/Hop Off. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and offered a wide variety of options.

We found Buswells Hotel to be comfortable and quiet. I loved the uniqueness of the building and the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is close to everything as well.

Lovely small hotel in the heart of Dublin City. Very welcoming staff. Great breakfast. Only issue was the over-plumped pillows on the bed.

My family and I landed down here a few days before Christmas to gather ourselves after moving back home from abroad and are so glad that we did. It was a perfect stay and a great way to dip back into Dublin life. The staff were incredible; really genuine, warm and friendly. They were so kind to our two children. It's a beautiful little old style Dublin hotel full of gilded mirrors, paintings and winding corridors; its full of character. Our room was very spacious and warm. The beds were very comfortable. If you are staying I would highly recommend opting for the breakfast- the quality of the food was really excellent. The location allowed us to stroll down to the South William Street area in the evenings and it is also located right beside the National Museum and a short stroll from the Natural History Museum and National Gallery. We spent a lovely evening relaxing in front of the fire with a Guinness from the hotel bar that I still remember very fondly. I haven't a negative word to say about the place and are actually considering making a December stay here an annual thing for us.

I think our waitress has eighter quit, or she’s been kidnapped. Worst service ever. Food was awesome. Had to beg for drink orders. Went to the bar myself. Twice. And we only ordered drinks 3 times. Weird. Getting a bill seems impossible. Lovely place. Disinterested staff.

Wonderful people who made the stay pleasant, and were always ready to help. A benefit is that it is right in the city centre, close to St Stephen's Green Park which is a 'Must See'. Downfall is that the Hotel is at the Parliament building, which gets very loud with Protests. The room we were situated in got very hot, there is no air-conditioning. The floor level above us creaked a lot through the night, which made sleep restless.

I stayed here on August 20th with my husband. I am very impressed by the staff, starting with the reservations, reception, bar, and breakfast bar. Everyone was very friendly and the service was very fast and very professional in the current conditions. They deserve more than 5 *. Very clean and welcoming and in an ideal location if you are planning a day of shopping in Dublin.

My husband and I just stayed here on our honeymoon and could not have picked a better hotel or location! It's very classy but not pretentious at all. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was wonderful with a nice, spacious bathroom and the hotel lobby was very cozy with a few fireplaces. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant too. Out of all the places we stayed in Ireland, this is the one I would go back to.

I went here with family over a week ago and I enjoyed my time here. Buswells is a 3 star hotel 🏨 centrally local near Stephens Green. I ordered soup 🍲 and tuna sandwich 🥪 and I was happy with what I received. The soup could of been a tad hotter but overall I would recommend and I plan to visit Buswells again soon

We stayed here in the beginning of December for a weekend and I would definitely return if I ever go back to Dublin. The location is great (central and close to every attraction we wanted to see); the staff are wonderful, kind, friendly people who went out of their way to help us; the lobby and lounge were beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our room was clean and comfortable, and didn’t feel small at all. Breakfast was fine (hot and cold options), and better than what we do for ourselves at home, anyhow. I owe the staff and decorators many thanks for their hard work.

We spent two nights in Buswells hotel on the 3rd & 4th September 2021 and it was extremely enjoyable. We had a spacious triple room and breakfast each morning. It was the first time I had ever stayed in a city centre hotel in my own home town and it was an absolute pleasure. We will certainly make a return visit in the near future. Thank you very much to all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable. David Hardy.

I’ll start with the positive. This is a beautiful and charming hotel with a location that can’t be beat. (Many of Dublin’s main tourist attractions are a stone’s throw away). The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and the shower was refreshing. Now for the negative... I ordered the cheese plate one evening. I thought it tasted a little funny/spoilt, but attributed that to the cheese varieties (some I had never tasted before). The next morning, I had all the symptoms of food poisoning. My husband and I ate all the same things that day except for the cheese, and he was fine. Aside from that, the flush lever to our toilet broke. I alerted the front desk, who were very understanding and said they would send someone immediately to repair it. We came to our room later that day to find it was not fixed, nor did it appear our bathroom was cleaned that day. If you’re looking for a prime location with historic charm and cheerful staff, this is a good spot. Just be wary of the food and the age of the rooms/appliances.

Just spent a lovely night in Buswells Hotel catching up with good friends in relaxing comfort. Though we all live in Dublin we seen it as a chance to treat ourselves, we got a great deal €170.00 per couple including dinner and breakfast. Rooms were fabulous, spotless clean, food was delicious and staff were lovely, all delighted to be back at work. I would highly recommend Buswells and I look forward to going back. Thanks Guys. x

Delightful meeting place for lunch, drink or afternoon tea for friends - near the Luas and main bus lines, central, always space for a quiet chat and oodles of privacy. Love to meet friends here and if waiting, try to get a seat in the foyer to people spot!! Hours of entertainment for the leisurely!!

Great hotel for someone who values where they are staying as part of the vacation experience. Staff are great and there is a TON of stuff to do around the hotel. The archeology museum across the street is an easy rec too.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, amazing decor. Very good maintenance, very confortable rooms. the self service breackfast its nothing special, but they serve a great traditional irish hot breackfast if you ask for it. the place is very quiet despite being in a 5 min. walk from the city center.

This place has really gone down post Covid. The staff in the bar are very young, not well trained. Recently I ordered food and was waiting 40 minutes for it. When it came out. It was all dried up. The staff in the bar forgot about it and it sat under the heater for ages.

This is a great boutique hotel, the rooms are comfortable, the service excellent, the staff are all friendly and helpful. The included breakfast included full Irish and continental with fresh warm pastries. We are very pleased that we chose to stay at Buswells for our stay in Dublin and will do so again when we come back.

Lovely hotel. Very courteous and helpful staff; helped me find shops to purchase some of the last minute things i needed like waterproof hiking boots and an adaptor for my cell. Room was great, esp the long bathtub i could lie down in....plenty of hot water. Bed was good. I had a room on the street and there was a smidgen of noise, but nothing like in mainland Europe.... Slept like a baby after a long long journey by plane. Great doorman, too.

People might favor another hotel over Buswells ... but for the life of us I cannot imagine why. We have just returned from another stay at Buswells Hotel in Dublin and are once again so very pleased with the experience. I am not exactly sure how we found Buswells in the first place before but I know that we returned knowing that we would have a wonderful visit. And so we did. Flying in from the United States and arriving at the earliest hour we booked a room to be open when we got there, knowing that check-in time is late at all hotels and that we would lose our first day to exhaustion. The staff was there for us at 6 a.m. and took care that we were comfortably settled, A bit more expensive that way, but we also knew that we would get the glorious Buswells' breakfast! Buswells is a lovely place: elegant, muted, engaging and perfect for the short-term or longer visit. The staff is uniformly pleasant, cooperative, helpful and professional. At every turn there was someone to offer assistance and direction -- and welcome. The food was uniformly excellent at the beginning of the day and at it's end. The hotel is in the perfect location. You can throw a rock to the Book of Kells (please don't) or St. Stephens Green, the government houses, libraries or any of the other treasures that bring us to Dublin. In fact, Buswells is one of those treasures for us now and we so look forward to being there again. What more could anyone want?

Our recent (December 2022) stay at Buswells could not have been better. Its extraordinary location made our Dublin visit and work efficient, convenient, and a pleasure. But more remarkable was the lively, homey spirit of the hotel, especially throughout the common areas, restaurant, and bar. It was unlike other hotels in the area. There was a true sense of community at Buswells.

Country Hotel in the heart of the city! Had a great midweek stay at Bushwells. The compact double room is a good size with an extremely comfortable mattress and duvet. Showers had good pressure and the Rituals toiletries were appreciated. Had salmon on ratatouille and mash for dinner. Flavourful and was nice and hot. I couldn’t fault the breakfast the full Irish is didn’t disappoint, though I would definitely need to try the warm danishes again amazing! Highly recommend and was competitive in terms of price

Starting on some positive notes I would say that the location of Bushwells Hotel is fantastic, the prices are much cheaper than any other hotel in the vicinity and it is spotlessly clean. Given it is a 3 star hotel I was not expecting luxury but I was hoping that it might have some charm which sadly it did not. It felt very drab, the staff while not unpleasant were not particularly smiley or friendly. I preordered a fruit basket for our room which looked like an unloved fruit bowl in someone's kitchen, not remotely inviting for €10. We didn't touch it. The breakfast again did not seem like much care had been taken over it and the music in the dining room reminded me of being stuck in a lift or being perpetually on hold with an obnoxious jingle in the background. I understand that may be a cost cutting measure however some relaxing classical music would be so much more pleasant. The whole place is in need of some tlc, in its current form I would not go back.

We had a great 3 night stay. The location is amazing, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast and dinner both exceptional, and the staff couldnt have been better. The AirCoach from Dublin Airport drops practically at the front door, easy walk to almost all the major sites and the hop on hop off bus stops are a 5min walk. We would 100% stay here again!
