👍👍 This place was close to our hotel, Hilton Hampton Inn, we had dinner there one night, very nicely decorated seating area, although it's a bit small. The food was good. Service was good too, but the nice middle-aged gentleman in charge was a bit quiet, all was good . People often mention good, Great, Guinness, great, staff, friendly, pint, Irish, atmosphere, Dublin,

Was really enjoying the atmosphere & music then it got even better when the bar maid told a bunch of premiership junkies it couldn't accommodate them. Top class! 😀 😍

A quick stop in The Boar's Head during a visit to Ireland and this is a quintessential Irish pub. The bar staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful, the Guinness was a good price and a perfect pour. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Dublin

Very friendly little bar, with mellow choice of background music. The Shepherds Pie (beef not lamb) was really excellent as was the accompanying Guinness. Overall a cosy place to eat and drink with sociable staff and customers. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Returned to sample the Irish Stew, it was just as good as the Shepherd's Pie!

Extremely rude bar staff- should have got their names as they may be gone now, but myself and a few friends set one foot in the door without saying a word, and were told "it's best we go elsewhere as theres no way he will be serving us". A few months later, told us that all the seats in a nearly empty pub were reserved and would be gone in 45 minutes, we decided to sit until the people came which of course they never did (the pub remained largely empty). Twice in there and twice told we weren't welcome. Disgraceful carry on from one of my favourite areas of dublin to being newcomers to the city. Unwelcoming pub, will be skipping it from now on.

Got off the Luas and it's the first pub we came across. First time here. Seating outside. We went upstairs and sat at the bar. The tables were full. Had a pint of Guinness and Smithwicks for €11.80. The barmaid was very friendly and we had some banter with her.

Lovely typical Irish pub where you can feel the usual chilled and relaxed atmosphere you find in an Irish pub! Service is fast for pints we didn’t get the chance to try their food but is the perfect spot for afternoon drinks, also on a sunny day on the left side of it there are few tables where the sun hits until is setting so you can enjoy the sun until the very end while still being in the city! Highly recommended

I really liked this place. From all the pubs in Dublin -and yes, there are tons- I found this was the coziest and nicest. It's not that crowded and touristic, and was full of locals, which is also nicer than the Temple area. I'll save it in case I go back, I wouldn't doubt it!

Have experienced the pub in a large group for a party in the upstairs area . The staff where very professional and friendly and even with a full house had no issues getting to the bar without delay . Finger food was delicious. This place is the footprint on how a pub should be ran. Top marks .

We did not try the food, so we are not able to comment on taste. But it looks very good as it went by us. It was a Saturday afternoon around 4 pm when we arrived there. The Guinness was of great quality. Very relaxing atmosphere and was a good way to have a conversation without stretching the vocal cords. Great location to get around (though on foot). Worth a try.

I had an amazing experience here and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing time. I was lost in Dublin and two regular guests greeted me with a very warm Irish welcome, which made my whole trip. The bar environment is very friendly and diverse, with amazing people!

Didn’t have much photo aside from this boar’s head 😬 but place is great… great place to just sit talk and have a good chat… their service is pretty quick and their staffs usually checks time to time if you need anything.

An authentic local Irish pub. We were there on a Wednesday night and the service was great, the fries we got were amazing and the drinks came quick. We walked by the next night and the street was filled with patrons!

We were only 3 days visiting Dublin, but THIS PLACE IS LOVELY. The food is delicious, the ambient is so warming, and the staff are incredible. Thank you so much for making us feel like home.

Good for a pint of Guinness and has an ok atmosphere although dead in the evening. Avoid the food, seems targeted at Americans and is mostly frozen. There are far better similar offerings in Dublin if looking for authentic Irish pub grub. Frozen. Forgetful. Wedges.

Nice little pub with excellent food. We went for the beef stew but we ended up tended with some chicken wings and one of the house favourites...the Irish Shepard's pie which was excellent. The portion was of a good size and it was very tasty. Also the potato wedges were great.

We ate upstairs the waitstaff was really ATTENTIVE. We had shepherd pie and a baked potato with Guinness the food was delicious. I would highly recommend.

Cozy, crowded bar that serves tasty food & a variety of beer. The Irish stew hit the spot on this rainy day. The bacon & cheese potato was massive & had an excess amount of bacon but I bet some people like that! Great service and vibes

Low quality food with high prices. The chicken burger is ridiculous, you have to assemble it yourself. Shepherds pie old and re-heated. There are plenty of other pubs around, don't stop here
