Located in Phoenix Park, not many people know about this wonderful place. An oasis of peace and nature! Here there is a small lake covered with water lilies, you can have a coffee on the terrace next to it, or eat something. Wonderful Walled garden not far. The house, when there are no guests, is open to the public. The parking is large enough to accommodate all visitors.

We had an amazing time in this wonderful garden and estate. It was a great spot to go to for a little walk but also to see some pure herbs and a well kept garden with a fountain. The boat house next to the estate also offer a wide array of snacks, food options and hot/cold beverages. We were glad to have a ice cream also. The house is next to a lake with some ducks chilling around. We'd recommend going there for an afternoon and enjoy the estate and gardens. It's open until 5 o clock and looks like a secure area.

Had a wonderful couple of hours at Farmleigh. Had a guided tour of the house with a really excellent tour guide. Amazing place and history. Afterwards, lunched at The Boathouse. Were served lovely food as we sat by the lake and watched the ducks. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Beautiful gardens to walk around & enjoy the scenery. Nice coffee shop but you have to find a vacant bench to consume a sausage roll & biscuit cake. Was very nice too. MM ☕

A lovely spot for a walk. Beautiful gardens, a nice little lake with a boathouse café. There are some horses and sculptures and a good few benches to sit down.

You can definitely visit the house but I would look out for events to attend to, such as concerts. The grounds are much impressive though than the house. On weekends, there is food market setup. If you are in Phoenix Park, it is definitely worth extending your trip to see it.

A lovely spot in the Phoenix Park for a gentle walk. Sunken and walled gardens closed at the moment however. Excellent but expensive lakeside cafe.

Went to Farmleight house to take a walk today, but unfortunately, it started to rain nearly as soon as we got there. We went in for something to eat in the fab restaurant in front of the pond. It is a beautiful setting to have food. The many different coloured flowers in the gardens are breathtaking and varied. We will need to return as we only got to see a small part of the grounds. See you soon.

Beautiful big estate house, free tour and free parking. Nice walks and a wee cafe to grab a coffee and a snack by the lake. Worth a visit if you’re in the Phoenix park.

A vibrant celebration of India's rich culture and heritage came alive at Farmleigh Park. The India Day festivities were a captivating fusion of colors, flavors, and traditions. From mesmerizing performances to delectable cuisine, the event offered a sensory journey into the heart of India. The joyful atmosphere, adorned with traditional clothing and lively music, truly captured the spirit of the nation. India Day at Farmleigh Park was a delightful showcase of unity in diversity, leaving a lasting impression of cultural exchange and harmony.

Great gentle peaceful place if you go during quiet periods. Cafe open for decent enough freshly made sandwiches, large general car park, & pretty grounds. 6 portaloo toilets - all clean & with toilet paper, one for disabled folks - located in the staff carpark behind the Courtyard.

One of the best places to visit in Dublin. It was formerly one of the Dublin residences of the Guinness family. The estate of 32 ha consists of extensive private gardens with stands of mature cypress, pine and oak trees, a boating pond, a walled garden, a sunken garden, out offices and a herd of rare native Kerry cattle.

While the house is currently closed due to Covid, the grounds and gardens are well worth a visit. Admission is free and there is ample free parking. The expansive grounds are mostly parkland and paddocks that are managed for wildlife and pollinators 🦋🌼🦗🐝🐞🐛. The walled garden is less formal and manicured than that in Ashtown Castle in the adjacent park but is full of pollinator friendly plants and herbs. The gardeners are very friendly and happy to share their knowledge with interested visitors. Looking forward to coming back when restrictions are lifted.

Well worth a visit. The Office of Public Works should be commended for the work they have done here. Lovely staff who obviously enjoy what they are doing

What a wonderful time at Farmleigh house with the Christmas Carols. The house was open to the public, giving access to the main hall, the beautiful glass conservatory (ideal for reception), the beautiful dining room, and the magnificent library. The library is home to treasure books such as a first edition of Gulliver travel. It is typically accessible to the head of state and some students for their research.

Enjoyed a tour of the grand House at Farmleigh with my wife and granddaughter and marvelled at the wealth the Guinness family had in the 1880's. It was only their holiday home !! Tour was completed with lunch in the boat house cafe and a walk in the gardens. Access to the grounds is free and not expensive for the guided tour of the house. Enjoyed our lunch and highly recommend a visit.

Farmleigh in Phoenix park is always beautiful no matter what season you visit. OPW keep the estate & house in great condition. Dubliners are so lucky to have this place on our doorstep. A must visit if in Dublin.

This wonderful house and estate was presented to the people of Ireland by the Guinness family. It's located within the beautiful Phoenix Park, 20 minutes cycling distance from Dublin's city centre. The house is beautifully decorated with furnishings and artworks and the grounds are well worth exploring, especially to see the mature trees, pond and walled garden.

Beautiful, quaint place. If you want to escape the bustle of the city and annoying people, rent bikes from Phoenix bikes and go to this hidden gem. A place straight out of classic literature, very peaceful and healing.
