A must-do experience when visiting Dublin. I loved having a high-energy and enthusiastic guide take us around the city and sharing their vast knowledge of history, language, and culture. The tour starts and ends right by Stephenโ€™s Green so it is super central and easy to find and get to. The tour took about 90 minutes and I was highly entertained the entire time. Definitely bring some warm clothing because it can get a bit chilly on a day when there is some wind. Our guide really made this an awesome experience. He had us laughing every minute, and we loved having so many buildings pointed out to us so that we could learn about their history and architectural style. I also loved getting so much insight to words and turns of phrase that entered the Irish and English languages from the Vikings. I really cannot praise this highly enough.

What an absolutely hilarious and yet informative, quirky and fascinating tour! Our guide Keith was just brilliant - entertaining and full of witty & interesting factoids and our driver Leno (sorry if we've remembered that wrong) did a fab job keeping us safe & dry! Thank you for a fabulously fun experience, love from 'England' (Bath, Bath & Devon) x

Good tour, the guide (late 50s) is a bit manic though. The humour would suit 50 something Irish or British, whereas half the people were kids. Good effort. To lay it on about tipping is a bit unfair too as the tickets are far from cheap at โ‚ฌ25 for an adult.

Did the tour with my friend celebrating her 70th Birthday we had a great time. Our tour guide โ€œ knew his stuff & was hilariousโ€ we laughed so much. For both of us โ€œproud Dublin girlsโ€ was a lovely perspective of Dublin Fair City especially on the Grand Canal Basin.

"THE BEST TOUR IN DUBLIN" never laughed so much on a bus/boat trip as I did with these guys, the tour guide was an absolute blast. Getting to roar like a viking at random unsuspecting tourists was great fun. Highly recommended (might be a good idea to book online before your visit to Dublin, especially if you are only there for a short time)

Entertaining and interesting to a degree, we learned more history about U2 and Riverdance than we did about any kind of vikings, would have been nice to not wear plastic helmets that have been used a million times, for the price you pay for the tour of Dublin and a few minutes in the water they could at least give you a clean new helmet to use and to take home. It wasn't the worst tour I've ever been on but it could be better, and the tour guide seemed like he might have had a hangover which is a bit unbecoming. I get that it's Dublin and people drink a lot but at least try have a backup plan for a hungover tour guide. Apart from that no issues. Great job guys. I would still recommend people try it, maybe they'll be a bit luckier than us, tour guide was very funny.

You feel a little strange at first getting onto a really old vehicle and being handed a Viking helmet. But I was surprised with how good this was! The tour guide was super energetic and gave us lovely random facts about Dublin as well as some personal opinions of his own. I personally loved the banter and picking on various nationalities on board. I hope no one else took offence. Would definitely recommend!

Was on tour in sweltering heat. Brian was a fantastic guide. He was so polite and friendly. Great fun while giving us brilliant information about Dublin. He included the audience very well. Our bus had an issue and Brian was unflappable. He kept us calm and informed while managing the situation. Absolutely fantastic tour great guide well done Viking splash ๐Ÿ˜€ I highly recommend.

This is one fun way to explore Dublin! Our guide Keith was full of knowledge and the way he explained every little detail about the city and the Irish history made this trip remarkable! The amphibious bus sure is marvelous and it just feels awesome to be on the same ride while on land and in water! Pro tip: Buy tickets in advance and get to the pick up spot at least 15 minutes before the departure time to secure the best seats!

Top banter from Keith, was a really fun tour of the city with a great mixture of history, information/facts and certainly humour. Yes itโ€™s quite expensive, but what isnโ€™t in Dublin?! Itโ€™s certainly more fun than a standard bus tour thatโ€™s for sure, thankfully we were blessed with sunny weather. Would highly recommend if you want a tour of the city with a side order of fun, thanks again Keith. We later went to the national gallery of Ireland and drew a picture of our memorable experiences from our little city breakโ€ฆMy daughter has also called her gift shop bought leprechaun Keith ๐Ÿ˜† Cheers guys ๐Ÿ‘

Entertaining and different way of seeing around Dublin by land and by sea (or at least canal) in a World War II amphibious vehicle. Tour guide, Eamonn, was lively, knowledgable and entertaining keeping us all engaged with nuggets of information delivered along with jokes and occasional bursts of song (very nice voice!) Fun for adults and children alike. Be ready to wear a Viking helmet and roar at pedestrians as you pass them. The trip on water down in the Docklands area was great!

I don't know was it just the time we were visiting but the Tour Guide seemed fed up but I don't blame him I'd be the same if I had to do the same 90 minute tour a few times everyday. The actual Tour was pretty good though you learn alot about Dublin and a few little historic facts you can brag about with your friends on the next car trip. I wish we spent longer in the water though that part seemed short but I'd say it felt shorter because on the land we were stuck in Dublin Rush Hour Traffic

Had a lot of fun roaring at pedestrians as we went by, but not a lot of viking history: more talk about U2, some notable Irish names, other tourist traps, and heckling people on the street. Worst however was feeling easily unwelcome from the moment I boarded. Once the tour guide began asking where people were from, the riffing began. I played along as usually these things are all in good fun, and I'm usually a good sport, but that stopped when even some passengers began to ask me political questions; very precarious ground given current global events. Distasteful comments were also directed at others dependent on their country of origin. Very uncomfortable. Expensive for what it was and while a memorable experience, it's marred with discomfort and racist vibes. Not sure I'd recommend it. Take this tour with a pinch of salt.

The most fun tour in Dublin! Your guide will give you a running commentary around the City, interjected with jokes, songs and roaring at pedestrians! Great craic and highly recommended!

If you don't like laughing don't do it! It is a funny city trip with a lot of explanations and stories. Our guide, Paul, gave us a lot of recommendations, too. He asked everybody where they came from (he even knew about our little country, Luxembourg, so plus points for that Paul!) and interacted with us throughout the tour. We were only 3 and half days in Dublin and due to this tour we were able to see another beautiful part of Dublin. I recommend this tour. Buy your ticket in advance, it is well booked. PS: Paul, bus driver would have been too boring for you. You wouldn't have been able mock people there ๐Ÿ˜œ 1,2,3 ROOOAAAR

Weย recently had the pleasure of partaking in the Viking Splash Tour, and we couldn't be more thrilled about the experience. The moment you step onto the amphibious vehicle, you're transported back to the Viking era, with hilarious commentary and a vibrant city tour. We feel compelled to commend our tour guide, Pat, who was not just a guide but a phenomenally entertaining host. Pat's charismatic and jovial personality interacts with all passengers but also the pedestrians along the tour. His hilarious quips and stories kept us laughing throughout the tour, making the experience truly engaging and fun-filled. He has a wonderful knack for keeping the crowd involved, turning the tour into more than just sightseeing but an interactive historical journey. Pat's depth of knowledge about the city's history and comedic timing truly elevated the tour. His funny anecdotes made history digestible and memorable for all ages, and his enthusiasm was contagious. By the end of the tour, we were all chanting like Vikings, completely absorbed in the experience. The Viking Splash Tour is undoubtedly a unique way to explore the city, but Pat's exceptional guidance and true authentic craic made it a truly memorable adventure. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city, and particularly those who appreciate humour, history, and a bit of splashy fun. So, if you're looking for an entertaining and educational ride through the city, don't miss out on the Viking Splash Tour, and make sure to ask for Pat as your tour guide! You'll come away with a smile on your face and a wealth of knowledge about the city's rich history.

We had a great day with Vinny. Best tour guide we have ever had. SO FUN! We loved that he paid homage to Barack Obama plaza. He educated us about etymology and history and stuff, and we loved screaming at people. Thank you Vinny! <3

Our driver was extremely entertaining and my family enjoyed the tour. Only thing i would change is a little more time in the water as it seemed we got in and got out fairly quick. Overall an awesome experience and highly recommend if you have the time.

I think it began here, and was solidified after we visited another Viking site: L'Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland. That is my daughter calling me "the Mad Viking." My beard was reddish back in 2011 when we took this tour and when they put the horned helmet on my head and my wife took my picture it stuck. As both a Yank with plenty of Irish blood and a history buff I really enjoyed this tour and seeing the various Viking sites---especially via a boat, err, amphibious truck. Highly recommend.

Super fun guide with a great driver. The city and the water tour was interesting and fun and we saw things we wouldnโ€™t with a โ€žnormalโ€œ city tour. The stories and songs made it to an extraordinary experience. I give you a big โ€žrooaaaaaarโ€œ ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿป

Brilliant!! Just Brilliant. Even though our duck broke down, it was dealt with promptly and professionally by our fabulous guide. Kind of added to the experience! Our guide was top class. So funny. Well worth booking. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Eoghan was dressed the part and overall great craic. My son really enjoyed the tour and especially the water part. Now to address some negative points Ive seen here - The reason the water part consists of a tour of the Grand Canal Basin and not the Liffey is for safety. Not issues from the water as such but it leaves everyone in the boat open to projectiles of all types from assholes on every bridge they go under as well as the promenade. The tour of the basin is informative and shows a lot. - The tour isnt a historical tour as such so it not as detailed as it could be as its more of an experience. There were a lot of children on our tour including my son and long winded deep dives into Viking history would have been too much. I think they got the right balance of history, humour and banter. - Being stuck beside or behind a bus with the fumes is unpleasant but not the tours fault. - Would recommend.

A fantastically fun way to tour Dublin. The guide was brilliant, very informativeand engaging. I would highly recommend it to anyone who isn't afraid of being a bit silly and laughing a lot.

Absolutely brilliant tour, would highly recommend it. Great laughs, great commentary by tour guide and the whole experience was fantastic. 2 adults and 2 kids and all enjoyed it so much.

Pricey but definitely worth it. It's a view of the city from a "real viking" side๐Ÿ˜. The tour guide from Kildare was brilliant, adults loved it so did the kids, roaring at everyone and 'I seen you with a blonde girl the other day,' put a smile on our face while the weather wasn't great. Great memories!

Excellent tour. Ken's great craic - just the right amount of Viking, Dublin, Norman and U2 knowledge to keep everyone happy. Remember to lubricate your throat before you go, and get ready to roar, sing, and laugh your way around Dublin.

The journey was absolutely epic. Our tour driver Paul was incredibly enthusiastic and funny. I would definitely recommend this instead of NORMAL bus tours cos this tour GOES IN THE RIVER (I mean the bus is a boat as well and we go in the river)

I've been on numerous Dublin city tours and attractions this is possibly the best on a warm Sunny Day Had the most interesting tour guide in "Dave the Dane". Genuinely full of fantastic information i never knew Brought around in a WW2 DUWK motor which was 70 years old and used in the Dday landings Potentially could have some leaflets of important information in other languages

Very agreeable tour through the city and on the water. Special Viking helmets and life jackets add to the funny atmosphere. Watch out for the weather but be sure that you will enjoy a lot of fun. Bring the kids also, they will like it. Great guides. One of Dublin's best attractions.

What an amazing tour, the weather wasn't the best, but it just added to the atmosphere. The guide was brilliantly funny, but gave some great insight into Dubliners and how Dublin came to be. Very nostalgic for an ol Dub like me ๐Ÿ˜Š
