I think that might have been one of my favorite museum I’ve been to in Dublin. Really cool to see the evolution of the building through time and learn about how it was to live there. It was like a little time travel experience. The videos really add to the experience and Jason was a really good guide too. We had a really good time :)

One of the best tours I've been in Dublin!!! Impressive work is done here to preserve history, the good and beautiful but also the bad and ugly. Very important. The stuff is great. The tour guide is very very good, he spoke in a very passionate way, you can feel he is involved in the preservation work and that he cares about what he is talking!

Fantastic immersive tour and cheap as chips too! Great way to spend an hour and 30 minutes. Tour guides are very knowledgeable, funny and entertaining in general. You get a great sense of what city living was like in Dublin from the late 1700s through to the Mid 1900s. Fascinating that some people who lived in the residence are still alive and donated their experience and family memorabilia to the museum. Definitely a tour to take in Dublin.

Loved this museum. Our guide Jason brought to life what life might have been living in this house since the 18th century. The tour was generally informative of Irish history too. The little videos are well done. Most of the rooms are empty but the ones set up just as they were in the old days are so cool. I wish I could have stayed in them a few minutes more. Well worth a visit.

Captivating tour, you learn a lot of interesting facts about the history of the building (and Dublin also) from the time that was built in 1740 until the last tenants moved out, in the late 1970s.

Booked the tour online. The tour was fantastic. I really enjoyed it. It's lasted well over an hour and a half. For €10 it's well worth the visit. Our guide was full of stories. Would highly recommend coming.

Absolutely brilliant museum very interesting. Well worth the 1.30 hr tour. Our guide gave us a great experience going back in time when they were first built and all the different time periods and what they were used for and how people lived. A great bit of Irish history. Id recommend this museum to anyone who is thinking of a visit.

Incredible immersive experience of life in Dublin trough times. This was the first (of many) touristy thing we did when my family came for a visit...our wonderful tour guide Gillian was an absolute delight and her passion to tell these people's stories inspired us all during our stay. A must see if you wish to understand Dublin.

Fantastic tour for anyone interested in the social history of Dublin during the tenement housing situation. Our tour guide Frank was informative and you watch several short films throughout the tour too. There are seats in different rooms, which is good for those who need a rest in between as it's a 75 minute tour through different floors.

Really enjoyed our tour of 14 Henrietta Street. The building itself has been very well restored, and the use of videos, artefacts and real stories made for a fascinating and moving experience. Our tour guide Celina was excellent also!

A great experience and Jason was a wonderful guide. He is real Dub and it made it an authentic experience. I would recommend anyone to do this tour. It's a real step back in time and gives you an appreciation for a time when Dublin was so different.

As of July 2021, the museum is not open but they are doing guided walking tours of the Georgian Dublin that start from 14 Henrietta St. It is a very informative tour about a part of the city that we tend to overlook. I honestly was not aware that there were so many great Georgian buildings in North City Dublin with so many stories behind them. Thank you team 14 Henrietta St.

If you do one thing in Dublin, it must be this. It’s lovely to meet someone (Gillian) who is so passionate and honoured to tell the stories of the people they lived there. Nothing felt scripted or boring with a range of historical and recent stories all focused around one street. Would highly recommend and thank you to Gillian for providing such a thought provoking and emotional tour

Such a special place - visited here with my daughter on our 'heritage trip' to Dublin. Pat the guide was knowledgeable and funny whilst being able to convey the terrible sadness and living conditions that the people of this house - and Dublin endured. Pat is clearly passionate about not only the museum but the people and history of Dublin. It is a haunting place and in my personal opinion an absolute must see. My daughter and I were so impressed that we are going to return and show my other children the museum. Thank you for sharing this beautiful house and your knowledge.

Would highly recommend 14 Henrietta street. Our tour guide Pat was brilliant. The tour take around 75-90 minutes. You walk through a house of history that takes you back 300 years. There’s a tour every hour on the hour. If you’re in Dublin,I would definitely recommend booking this experience.

I'm not much of history, so I wasn't sure whether I would enjoy Henrietta. I loved the history of the house and the peculiar way in which it's told. Absolutely recommend this experience in Dublin.

We spent a pleasurable hour and a half on Tour with Gus!! A fountain of knowledge and enthusiasm. Bitter sweet history, brought so many familiar feelings, sights, recognition of my past family's history and good fortune to have had jobs and careers. Dublin has a mixed history of fortunes won and lost. 14 Henrietta Street is a super museum and a must see, especially for the Irish, not just Dubliners!!🍀

I highly recommend the indoor guided tour of the house. Frank, our tour guide, really knew his stuff and was great for encouraging us to ask questions and give input. The tour is NOT just for history buffs, everyone will walk away with a deeper connection to Dublin. It's a very humanizing museum. Hidden gem of the city!

Well worth a visit. Tour guide Pat brought the group back to Georgian and tenement times in this old building. Hard to believe it's recent history. Nice touch where Pat has come to meet many of the children who lived here in person, or the relatives of the children in the photos. The basement depicted the harsh times...cold and dark so bring a jacket, but there was a nostalgic feel to it too...not all doom and gloom. The last room was the icing on the cake with a more recent living quarters and all the bits and bobs donated from past tenants giving it a real special touch. Incidentally, I made an incorrect booking (an Irish speaking session only where 2/3 of us had no Irish) and contacted them on the same morning of the booking thinking I'd lose my money but no, they sorted me out straight away and my booking was changed with no problems at all. I was really grateful for that.

This is a great historic overview of Georgian house and it’s transformation from a mansion of one wealthy family in the 1700’s to tenement housing for 26 families through to the 1970’s. Gus was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and was happy to take questions. This is a must see tour to understand the history of Dublin. Give yourself and hour and a half for the tour.

Wonderful guided tour of an important part of Dublin's history, tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and had a deep passion for the stories she told us as we made our way around the building, those involved in preserving the building have done a great job.

I can't recommend this museum enough, the tour is great with people who really know what they are talking about and they love questions too. I also took the Georgian North Dublin tour which was fantastic. Do both, they are amazing!

Haunting journey through early 20th century Dublin. Some of the videos shown brought me back to 1960s childhood. Guide Sheila was brilliant and courteous. It's a must see for anyone interested in the changing Ireland we live in.

This is a hidden gem in Dublin. The guided tour takes you around this house doing a wonderful job to portray how a bourgeois-made house was transformed to housing appartements for the poor living in squalor. Its one of the best museums i have ever visited (and i have visited a lot). Dont miss it, it will worth your time.

Such a fascinating tour. Very informative and the house is restored brilliantly to show what tenement life was like at the time. Also interesting to know its previous life as a grand townhouse. The street itself is really beautiful and historic. One of the most enjoyable museums I have visited. Lovely guide who made it very enjoyable also. I recommend booking in advance as its popular and you may have to wait for a suitable time slot.

Such a wonderful insight into the world of one building. From opulent beginning to over crowded tenement. We had a passionate guide, Jillian, that kept us enthralled & entertained. Very emotive too, well worth a visit.

I enjoyed a hugely positive experience at 14 Henrietta Street. It's a wonderful place to visit. Our guide, Gillian, was fabulous and hugely knowledgeable, answering every question and expanding on them with extra information. I went with a work group, all of whom enjoyed it. I plan to return again and share the experience with friends and family.

Fantastic museum, the restorations really capture the atmosphere of the eras well. The guides were wonderful; informative and enthusiatic. The only thing that I would slightly change is to allow a minute in the room after each presentation to allow us to soak up the room a bit more. I will definitely be back, and joining a walking tour.

If you have the opportunity to experience only ONE thing in Dublin, let it be the guided tour at Henrietta Street 14! Just WAUW! Our guide was wonderful and funny. The tour focuses on telling the story of the house's decline from rich town house for one family to tenement building housing up to 100 people at a time. The story is moving and engaging. I'm definitely taking the tour again of I ever come back to Dublin!
