Fabulous hotel. Myself, my mam and my sister stayed here the night of the Garth Brooks concert and we were thoroughly impressed. From the outside, all the way to the rooms the hotel looks absolutely beautiful. The room was lovely, beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was equipped with both a shower and a bath. Everything you would need was available including bathroom essentials, kettle with tea and coffee, hairdryer, mini fridge and large TV. I love that the room had an air conditioning system which you could control yourself to your own liking. There was also an ice machine in the hallway outside our room if needed. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The toddy's restaurant on to the hotel where we had our dinner was great, again great staff and fabulous food. And the breakfast spread the next morning was fantastic. This hotel exceeded our expectations. We had an amazing stay and will definitely stay again. Would highly recommend

I am extremely disappointed in our room at the Gresham. This is NOT a 4-star hotel room. We paid quite a bit of money and the room is both dated and tiny. You cannot walk between the bed and the desk. We are here at the hotel with another couple. They paid the same price for their room and have significantly more floor space as well as a larger desk and two chairs to sit in. If nothing else, this room should be discounted. I spoke to desk staff. They could not move us to a better room (hotel fully booked) or offer us a better price. I would not recommend staying here. Edited: I initially gave a one-star review. The staff did give us a new room for our second night. The new room is far superior room and likely cost more than initial room. I appreciate that they tried to make it right. The new room meets the standard of a 4-star hotel. That being said, I do think that sub-standard rooms in regard to size should be priced less than we charged. I hope the hotel makes that change for future guests.

So impressed by this place. The staff were so friendly, and the breakfast buffet incredible. Rooms, whilst nothing special in terms of decor, were very clean and really comfortable. Very nice that they will also store your luggage at no cost for your final day as this allowed us to enjoy the day without dragging our suitcases around. Excellent central location as well. We were able to walk everywhere.

We had a wonderful time at this absolutely beautiful hotel. Their breakfast was perfect and the only comment we have is it didn't appear tables were being sanitized between uses. Otherwise, the hotel was great. We had a corner room in the top floor so the bathroom was very cold but the towel warmer helped.

Check in was quick. Breakfast staff was welcoming and friendly. Check ins done daily from hotel to make sure everything is good. Good location, allows us to walk and visit much of the city. Rooms were clean, and we enjoyed the well stocked tea service. Only thing, we couldn't figure out how to use the towel warmer.

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of a 15 day trip in Europe. We had a king room which was a great size, nice and clean. Staff were friendly throughout the hotel. Other than one staff member at the door that asked my husband if he was a guest. My husband popped outside to check the weather and came back in 30 seconds later and was questioned. He had just walked past the same staff member. Breakfast options were very good, a few more gluten free options would have been nice or some lactose free yogurt. Centrally located so was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. One complaint would be the slamming of doors by cleaning staff:. They walk in and out of rooms numerous times while cleaning and just let the door slam behind them. For the price we paid I don't believe we should have been disturbed by the slamming of doors from early morning until late afternoon. The second day of our stay I was unwell and needed to rest but the door slamming made it virtually impossible. I did notice that some cleaning staff would prop doors open which is much better than the constant slamming. We would probably stay again if we knew it wouldn't be so noisy.

We stayed here for one night in December 2021. The room was quite small, in fact it shouldn’t be sold as a double room. The staff is friendly and the location is fantastic: walking distance of everything! We are familiar with the RIU hotel chain and we had big expectations, however the room looked clean when we walked in but looking closely at the radiator or behind the chair for example was full of dust. The breakfast was good with lots of different selection. The hotel lobby is also amazing!!! We were quite surprised by the hotel’s checkout policy at 11am. The receptionist told us the price of €20 for each hour of late checkout. Firstly 12pm is a standard checkout time for a 4 stars hotel, we appreciate it was a busy time around Christmas, but it was very disappointing being asked to pay extra.

This is just a review for the menu in the bar. We didn't stay in the hotel itself. We have been going to Toddys for food for the past 8+ years. We go three times a year as it coincides with family birthdays. We go there as we can sit and chat comfortably and without loud music playing in the background! The restaurant is always clean and welcoming and the staff are always attentive and friendly. Service is quick and the food is very tasty. However, when it comes to vegans and vegetarians your options are limited, very limited. The weekend just gone, we were too early for Toddys, so we ate in the bar on the right as you enter the hotel. The menu looked identical. I had a vegetarian curry which was very tasty. My other option was a sandwich! This has been the only real option available to me over the past few years! Not sure what they have to offer for vegans apart from chips and a salad. It's 2022, vegans and vegetarians would like to have a number of options when they go out for a meal and not just have a token dish on the menu to choose from. I hope when we are back there in May, that there are more vegan/vegetarian options on the menu.

There was an excellent service from very friendly and welcoming staff. There very so many staff on duty, it meant no waiting anywhere in the hotel at any time. The room was tasteful, not too warm. Perfect

The room was good - comfortable, clean, spacious, etc - but the hotel was overall was not a place I'd choose again. The breakfast was repetitive, so if you are staying more than 2 days it starts to feel like there is nothing but the same, especially if you have dietary restrictions. The restaurant/bar was very disappointing... the caprese salad was one of the worst I've had, and the service was mediocre. Any of the local pubs I tried were better. Then, I asked to check out one hour later and they wanted to charge 15EUR, which just seems ridiculous to charge for one hour of leeway based on my airport time...I understand for asking for 3-4 hours, but for one hour?! The location is good, but still not where I would choose to stay in the future.

Ŵe stayed here visiting from Essex only for a 2 night break. The hotel is located pretty centrally and is within walking distance to most city attractions. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and well appointed. Breakfast is a delight. We will definitely be returning for a lengthier visit

My room was directly across from the 24 hour a day loading dock. It was impossible to sleep. I tried to speak to the GM but it was pointless. He was upset that I took video from my hotel room window. Wish I could post video to truly see the experience. I would look elsewhere if you want to sleep at a hotel. I could actually touch the entire length of the top of a truck as it was backed past my hotel room. All on video. These pics all taken not zoomed directly outside my room window.

The breakfast buffet in the morning was good. The negative of this place is the stress. Overstaffed at breakfast, running around picking plates from the table like it was no tomorrow. This place would be so much better if they all relaxed and gave the guests some peace and quiet. And the staff at the door were pushy and rude.

Almost luxury four-star hotel, close to the city center and easily accessible by car, bus and taxi. The staff is very nice and open towards tourists. The restaurant and breakfast are well assorted and of excellent quality. The rooms are equipped with every basic element, the only defect is that they are a little small. Excellent experience to better enjoy a few days of vacation.

Generally a nice hotel but the rooms are a little dated with slightly odd lino-ish flooring. Food in the restaurant was good and staff were friendly and helpful. We were there during the riots in Dublin in 2023 that were right outside the hotel and the staff were very good and did everything possible to keep everyone safe.

Fantastic hotel. This is my second stay here and I will definitely stay again next time I visit the city. Rooms spotlessly clean and spacious. We stayed in family room and it did not disappoint. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a few drinks in the bar which is lovely and very comfortable. Prices aren't cheap but no where is nowadays. We decided to have a bar snack here which was a bit pricy for what it was if I'm honest. But it wouldn't put me off as Hotel smack bang in the city centre with plenty of restaurants near by. Great hotel and I would definitely recommend

A good hotel in a good location. I was surprised how busy it was. I think they try to be better than what they are. The staff are all very friendly and offer a five star service but the place is a bit dated and needs a bit of work. I booked a king room (got room 209 - not sure if this is a long room??) The room itself was nice but dated. The carpet just inside the door was all wet - not sure if previous guests spilled something or if it’s a leak. The bathroom was nice and the TV channels were excellent. Power sockets were away from the bed which was annoying. I paid for breakfast to be delivered to my room and it came on time, had a huge range of products but it was cold and the pastries were hard - I left the lot. Any staff members I met were very friendly.

Amazing hotel. The room we stayed in was incredible. The breakfast buffet was great. Plenty of choice and helpful staff, intact all the The staff we met couldn't have been more helpful. Five stars all round. Would definitely come back again.

A great hotel to stay. Surprised my father for his birthday. Had a little misunderstanding when we arrived but that was rectified straight away. Upgraded rooms. Staff was friendly, happy to help and smiled every time we walked past them. Food was amazing. Great clean rooms, great location. We will be visiting again. Thank you for a great stay.

A great place, is a beautiful antique building but some parts were remodeled recently (modern style). It's in a good zone, near the city centre. The staff was good, the cleanliness was right. This hotel is expensive but the other near hotels are on the same range.

I highly recommend this hotel My sister and I stayed here on the weekend 10 -12 November 2023. I am already looking forward to revisiting Dublin and in particular this hotel. The rooms are nicely furnished and are comfortable, staff are very helpful and at breakfast, there was a vast range of choice. Just one question... is this hotel haunted? My sister thought she saw someone walk behind me as we got in the lifts. However, we waited a moment for no one to join us. 🤷‍♀️

The staff here are so great. I came a little before check in, and as soon as I entered I was greeted and assisted with my luggage. My room was ready so I was able to check in early. All the staff I encountered were extremely friendly and efficient. I ate in the restaurant twice, and enjoyed my meals both times. I also appreciated the later check out time of 1200. One of the staff also was able to assist me with a bus route. Just of note there is some construction going on at the hotel , however it did not interfere with my visit whatsoever, however it was a bit hard to pull my luggage over the floor covering I am sure if I asked for help I would of received it. I also got two little cupcakes delivered to my room which was a nice little welcome gift.

Rooms dated in comparison to the rest of the hotel, however, extremely clean. No choice of pillow firmness, all soft, flat, pillows. Lack of plug sockets near bed, and no fridge. View out of 336 was literally a brick wall... ask for a street facing room at check in. Lobby and communal areas are very modern. Breakfast has a great selection, cooked full English buffet, continental buffet, pastries, pancakes, and choice of teas, coffees and juices. Staff were really attentive, especially Lorraine, absolute asset to the hotel and deserves recognition. Very helpful giving out local information and recommendations.

Older but very nice hotel, staff were super helpful and room was really clean and quiet. Large room and bathroom. Location is great and our tour left from the front door (Wild Rover). I would stay here again! We left too early for breakfast but it looked really good and they let us grab a couple things to go.

Nice hotel near the center of Dublin. It's a bit of a walk or taxi ride though to most attractions. The room was tiny, but clean and functional. Bed was comfortable and shower worked well. Staff were very friendly and make you feel welcome. Important to note: the AC shuts off when you take your room key out, so you will want a second key card if you like a cool room like I do!

The hotel is well-kept and very well situated in the center of Dublin. Our room was quite comfortable with updated features including a comfortable bed and updated bathroom. All hotel staff were kind and you really cannot beat the location. We were able to get pick up for all our tours right at the door and it is walking distance to numerous shops, restaurants and local sites of interest. The breakfast is top notch, with generous variety of hot and cold items. I recommend it for your perfect stay in Dublin.

Stayed here for our trip to Dublin, helpful and friendly staff on arrival, provided a map and information for the surrounding eateries and tourist places etc. our room was nice and housekeeping was on the ball cleaning our rooms more than once on some of the days, and staff always happy to help. Breakfast was good, having hot food, cereals, pastries and fruits and yogurts too. I kept to the same general stuff I enjoy which tasted great but couldn't comment on the other half of food as I didn't try it, though I didn't hear anyone complaining. We had Christmas dinner here (as in Dublin all eateries close on Christmas day) which was nice except for limited vegetarian options, but we knew the menu months before when we made the booking so wasn't an unexpected factor. Had drinks, then ate our dinner and then relaxed in the bar area, was good evening and prices are decent too. Overall I would definitely stay here again, good value for money and very pleasant experience during our 6 day stay.

Nice friendly place, ideally located for a day of shopping or a night out. All tourist attractions are easy accessible from the public transport directly infront of the hotel. Been here a few times and will return.

Our one night stay in early December was satisfactory. Our favorite part was sitting in the lounge for drinks and dessert. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The location is central to shops, pubs and transportation. Our single room was somewhat dated. No USB plugs, but there was a US outlet. And none near the beds. The tub/shower seemed stained but the water pressure was good. I would stay again if they did a refresh of the rooms.

Our stay was great! The bed was comfy with all amenities we needed for our 3 days stay. Everything is the same as the pictures were posted here. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection; try to go before 0830 so you won't be in queue too long. The hotel is located close to many places, e.g. the shopping mall, coffee shops, tourist attractions, etc. where you can walk there conveniently. Restaurants and pubs are also in walking distance. It is a 20 minutes taxi ride to the airport so it is convenient. Definitely recommend to stay at this hotel!

Such an excellent stay at Rui Plaza- The Gresham Dublin Hotel. Me and my friend stayed here for several days, we felt very safe and looked after here. We were lucky enough to have a 5 hour early check in as we were soaking wet through- this was well appreciated! Staff were extremely attentive, all the most polite and friendly people at all times. Perfect location too. A really great stay overall ☺️

Amazing location, but that's about it. Very old hotel that needs updating. Old amenities and thin walls. If you prefer the old charm and traditional breakfast then this is a place for you. Vegan/vegetarian breakfast options are very limited, as it is a paradise for meat eaters and lovers of heavy breakfast. If you don't like the traditional Irish breakfast don't take that option while booking a room. There are a plenty of places around to get a more varied food. Plus side is that you can walk everywhere from here, so central!

The hotel made my wife's birthday even more special by arranging for flowers and chocolates to be in the room upon our arrival. All staff were a credit to the hotel polite and helpful. Food was amazing, breakfast and in the restaurant. We are definitely returning!!!!

Stayed in your hotel last night, it’s a beautiful hotel as you get to reception, there was a huge mix up with our rooms, given the wrong room then when given the right room, a triple room, which was €90 each, I had to sleep on a fold out bed from a couch, for €90 I don’t think that’s acceptable and breakfast not to be included, also the rooms very outdated, I will say the shower was fabulous. I don’t know maybe if I was to ever stay again, I’d get a better updated room. For its location it’s great as it’s close to everything, was just very disappointed that I had to sleep on a fold out bed.

spent two nights in the GRESHAM hotel Dublin with three friends this week. We all found it to be an exceptional experience, right from check in to check out. It was very well managed, we felt very safe, as health regulations were very much in line with guidance. All staff were very professional and friendly. Looking forward to next visit. Thanks to all.

We booked a deluxe Queen Room with a bath and view. When we checked in we were told we had been upgraded to a room in the College Wing. The College Wing is a recently refurbished part of the hotel with much more modern, compact rooms than the traditional older style that you expect from a historic hotel like this one. The room we were given was small (around half the size of the deluxe Queen), with no bath and no view. It was very dingy with little natural light. When I returned to check in to query this I saw a different member of staff who told me the College Wing rooms were standard rooms so it was in fact not an 'upgrade' but more a downgrade. I feel like because we are young and were dressed casually on arrival they tried to palm off their less popular rooms to us. However we were quickly put into a deluxe Queen, which after all, is what we paid for. As well as this bumpy start to our visit there were several awkward encounters with staff that you don't expect of a 4*, being told we couldn't bill to our room in some circumstances when other times it was fine, at check out being told we had paid then when I returned to pick up a receipt being told we had not paid, just unnecessary admin that made the visit much more effort than it should have been. Aside from these points, the final room we were given was very good and the bed was excellent, very comfortable. The breakfast was great with a wide selection of good food and the staff were all incredibly helpful. Overall, would I stay here again? For the cost, and considering the experience, it has to be a no.

Stayed 1 night 89 euro b&b, such a lovely hotel, excellent value. Had a delicious fantastic beautiful tasty wonderful juicy meal in toddys restaurant, unbelievable!! The room was extremely clean and comfortable, tv , hairdryer , iron and ironing board if needed. Staff are really friendly, lovely greeting on entry. I can't wait to stay again

Would not recommend coming to this hotel while COVID restrictions are still active, especially for unvaccinated people, the only thing you will receive is a room and 'breakfast' which includes a small packet of orange juice, joghurt, small chocolate muffin and an unripe green banana which they do not mention in their website. We were told to stay away from the restaurant, bar and all of the public spaces because of no vaccination. Please do not waste your money for the name, you are better off staying at Jurys Inn not far from this hotel.

City centre location is both a positive and a negative for the hotel depending on your preferences. Nearby shopping district and a range of restaurants to choose from. Staff was very helpful and accommodated to all our fine tuning requirements. Easy access to transport and Dublin Luas/tram service runs from right outside the door. Overall, excellent value for money and it exceeded our expectations.

A classy hotel. Pristine clean, very spacious family room, powerful shower, no noise from other guests, breakfast was probably the best I've had in any hotel, staff were everywhere. Price was reasonable compared to others and will definitely be returning. A 4 day stay made better for staying there.

I spent almost a week at The Gresham Hotel. I was initially given a pretty dark subpar room at the back of the hotel facing the courtyard, with a small window. I immediately called down to the front desk and asked to be moved to another brighter room, this Ladies & Gents is the thing to do. They happily moved me to a much brighter, more pleasant room facing O’Connell Street at the front of the hotel. It made a world of difference. Although the room was almost the same size it was so much better, it had a floor to ceiling window and views facing O’Connell Street. Don’t worry about the noise it was perfectly quiet. The hotel is in the perfect location on one of Dublin’s main thoroughfare streets. The room rate even included breakfast. Due to Covid and not wanting to get stuck in Ireland by catching it. I ended up bringing my meals up to my hotel room. Although there was no room service, this was totally fine. I felt safe, had a great breakfast, and was able to do some work in my room. The Gresham is a reliable and solid 4 star hotel, with a great history and friendly staff.

Very clean and centrally located hotel. Stayed one night at start of vacation and 2 nights at the end. Both Rooms were nice but some of the fixtures needed looking at. ie safe not working in one, towel rack not heating in another. Breakfast buffet was outstanding with so many choices. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Plenty of room and location is fantastic, easy walk into temple bar area from here. Breakfast was delicious!! My only negative point is the toilet door does not slide closed tight to the wall, that's it. The shower was fantastic too. Can't wait to rebook!

Very good central location in Dublin city. They were accomodating with an early check-in. There is no parking available, but they offer a discount within a nearby parking complex. The room was small but clean and relatively comfortable. Very good buffet breakfast was included with lots of variety

Stayed here for 1 night Saturday.Room was very clean but dated and small, air conditioning broken, old bathroom with bath which enamel was worn off ,bathroom window didn't open. Wardrobe was the same one that was there 30yrs ago when I stayed there. Bar food I had fish which was good,my wife dinner let's say was disgusting to taste and gross to look at. Nice touch was the ice machines provided. Definitely way overpriced hotel at €278 for 1 night.
