We have stayed at this hotel three times. Location is great, rooms are nice. No complaints until now. Our most recent stay will be our last. Renovations were said to start at 9, but everyday they started around 7:30. The renovations are incredibly loud, which I wouldn’t mind if they kept it to reasonable hours and didn’t lie about when the wall shaking pounding would stop. Housekeeping starts knocking at 7:30am…which seems a bit early. And they would knock several times after you told them you were okay, coming at 7:30, then 8:30, then 10. Feels bad to be rushed out of your room like that. On our last day they knocked especially early and we were still sleeping, and someone entered our room while we were in bed. A little strange to wake up to someone in your room. It was checkout day so I’m not sure why we were bothered.

Very comfy hotel but my room was facing the Tram track, which for someone who have sensitive ears might get annoyed by that. Shower room drainage was a bit clogged and water doesn't drain quickly enough. They provide shaving kit but remember ask the front desk because housekeeping doesn't keep stock for that. After midnight there might be a security guard checking visitors detail such as room number and name at the front door. The key card is tricky, the magnetic strip sometimes not working, because you need it in the lift, I end up stuck inside for a minute or two just keep trying until the reader recognize it, I end up keep trying for 20-30 times until the reader could read my key card, so don't panic! (I tried to press door open button and it didn't work, once the door is closed you are on your own) It's a bit far from the city center, if you miss the last tram to Charlemont and you don't want to take a taxi, it will easily taking you 35 minutes to walk back, I guess under rain it might take you 45-50 minutes so be prepared.

Lovely stay, well appointed rooms. The hotel is located directly beside Charlemont LUAS stop making it the perfect location with only a short trip to the city also within walking distance of lots of bars and restaurants in the area. The breakfast offering is fantastic with lots of fresh options and a section for Gluten Free.

I visited for a conference. The gent's toilets were out of order for the whole week. The hotel opened two bedrooms for us to use the bathrooms (between two full conferences), but didn't disable the locks so the rooms kept locking themselves and the hotel didn't have the keys easily available. Lunch was small sandwiches and soup - the same variety every day for the week. Including tinned tuna wraps. Not what you expect from a Hilton!

Good standard hotel. The rooms are dated but a good size. Their breakfast was decent and staff was very nice. Location is far from the city center but you can still walk to sites. There isn't much to do in the area.

Nice hotel within walking distance to city center. Rooms are a bit dull and renovation is needed. Great breakfast, large rooms and clean bathrooms. Close to tram stop, decent connections to Dublin Airport and near business district.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating! The hotel is a little outside of central Dublin, which means rooms are more affordable. There is a tram station literally feet away that’ll take you into town for €2. It’s very easy to get to Trinity College or some of the other top visitor destinations. Note: there is a visitor Leap pass that allows you to ride the tram all day for a set cost. It’s different from the regular Leap card and only sold at a few locations - one being the airport. If you’re planning on using public transportation, pick one up before you come into the city.

I recently went with a group of friends for food and drinks at the Hilton Hotel, and we had a really lovely evening. The staff were very friendly, smiley and accommodating and the service was fast considering it got busy. Overall I loved the atmosphere, it was chilled enough to be able to chat but also lively when the talented Ivan was playing. Will come again! Thank you Hilton Charlemont staff and Ivan for a really pleasant evening.

Nice hotel just outside the main part of the city. Looks recently refurbished, the staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast and bar facilities very good. Only negative was that there didn't seem to be enough lights in the room and so a bit dimly lit.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights - great place - best part was the musician Friday and Saturday night. Ivan's music was medicine for the spirit. His voice has a hauntingly beautiful feel and with his choice of the violin, guitar, and harmonica along with cover tunes and originals, honestly a most memorable time.I could have listened all night long.

I love this hotel. The rooms are spacious and it was quiet with modern appliances. I loved the toiletries provided but most of all I LOVED Ivan the musician on Friday and Saturday nights. He is so talented and warm and friendly. He even let me song along on a few songs. I will remember Ivan as one of the best highlights of my entire trip!

After a long flight from Florida, we arrived in Ireland and went through the first long day trying to get over jet lag. I tell you this, because even as tired as we were, we made our last stop the lounge at the Hilton hotel, where one of us was staying. Thinking we were going to head straight to bed, we poked our nose in the bar and heard the entertainment… Ivan Moriarity… he was so incredibly good, we sat right down in the very comfy arm chairs and stayed until closing! We thoroughly enjoyed his music… he played guitar, fiddle and percussion, which made his solo act sound much richer. He played a really nice selection of songs that most people easily knew, and did so in a very soulful, compassionate way. He was an absolute delight to listen to. Peaceful, familiar, and SMOOTH listening. A perfect way to end the evening. We were sad to learn. He was not going to be there the next night, because we definitely would’ve gone back. If you’re in the area on a Friday or Saturday night, don’t miss him he really is exceptional.

Excellent location and front desk staff. I wish I could remember their names, but the people at the front desk were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Clean rooms and facilities. Walkable to most places and right next to the city tram line.

Nice hotel in a bit more calm area of Dublin. Not too far from the main centre also (15-20 min walk). Additionally, there was a nice and free entertainment show of a boxer whose stuff got thrown in a river across. That was awesome.

Overall very pleased with the service and location of this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is right on a LUAS (local train) stop, so very easy to get around the city affordably. The hotel wasn't perfect, but what place is? They almost never answered the phone, but they were always available at the front desk. The food in the restaurant is very good. (The breakfast buffet was not worth the price.) The rooms are comfortable and quiet. I wish there was a vending machine or a store on site with snacks and water, but maybe that isn't common in Europe... A pen to write with in the room would also be nice.

Excellent location, friendly staff, fresh contemporary rooms and good food and drink offerings. Everything you could want from a city break hotel except personality. You really could be in any country in the world and the lack of local personalisation won’t be for everyone.

A great hotel with modern design and good facilities. It’s a nice 20 minute walk into the city centre, or there’s a tram stop right outside. There’s lots of great bars and restaurants nearby too. The hotel has a nice bar and decent breakfast. There’s car parking below the hotel, but it’s small, so you need to be early to make use of it. The hotel also has a small gym with all the basic equipment.

The hotel is clean overall Location is not the best but it is close to where I go so it was good. Did not really like the breakfast at this Hilton, the other Hilton in Dublin had an extra menu to order in addition to the open buffet. Overall experience , Not my favourite Hilton. But was good generally, and the staff were good and supportive.

One never expect to get “oh slipper, we are out of stock” as an answer when staying at Hilton. Luckily, housekeeping personel was very nice to get it one of the other rooms! In general, the hotel was very old, the breakfast was not really good in terms of variety.

  • 5/5 Rob M. 10 months ago on Google
The lobby, bar, and restaurant are all very nice. The rooms are very nice with an actual king-sized bed, unlike every other hotel we stayed at in Ireland. The location is good, mostly because it is right on the train with a stop right next to it.

I was staying in this hotel for 2 weeks and during this time i meet some nice staff and i am sorry to say that but few of them were not competent at all. I was there during my birthday and i don't mind they didn't said anything but i get really upset when in that evening they send me a letter to inform me that my card can't be charged and actually the issue was due to there sistem as we found out that later. The rooms are too dark for me, not possible to read or work. Breakfast very simple and i am not talking about the period when they had the kitchen in renovation during my second week there. The gym was actually just a small room with only 2 working devices from 6. +++ Good beds, i need to recognize that i slept very well.

Comfortable rooms. When I stayed there, Bidens delegation was in town and staying at the Hotel . Secret service everywhere, which was really uncomfortable. Got zero sleep, with the amount of noise the delegation staff made throughout the whole night. Next time would be nice to be informed our stay would be disrupted so much

Really can’t say enough great things about this visit. Josephine was so nice to us. And the room was so nice . Perfect birthday evening. The great thing about this hotel is that’s it’s in the middle of foodie heaven. So much choice.

Close to the train but not much else. The staff was incredible! Not able to control the temperature in the room. Had to contact the front desk. Nice breakfast selection.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location for visiting the sites of Dublin. If you are lucky, Ivan Moriarty will be performing in the bar. His set included great standards as well as Irish tunes.

Nice hotel in very good location. It's a couple miles out from the center of Dublin. You can walk into town but it would be a long walk for most. Public transportation is right next door. The local neighborhood is bright and modern and has almost anything you need. If you go over to the other side of the canal there is an upscale "suburban" neighborhood that you would like to move to.

  • 4/5 ExinMEDIA b. 5 months ago on Google
Well located hotel with the tram stop right beside, great reception staff who are so helpful. Breakfast buffet was good but not so many inter continental varieties. No fish no salad menu. The canal has boats that has restaurants for dinning while you cruise.

This is the second time I've stayed here and enjoy the hotel very much. The staff are all friendly, rooms are nice, and breakfast has good options.

The room is a bit dark. I prefer a room with more light so that i can work. The air conditioning in the meeting room that we hired wasn't working well. It is very noisy when it is on. So we need to switch it on before the meeting. Them switch off when we have meeting. Then the room gets pretty cold after some time.

Polite reception staff who were very helpful. Clean room, although it looked tired in places. Would have liked more sockets in the room or charging points closer to the bedside tables. Bar staff were extremely slow and didn't seem to be able to communicate well. Loved the map and restaurant recommendations on arrival. Beds were comfortable - the outside noise wasn't overly noticeable from the trams but there was a constant generator unit noise through the night. Good C-19 protocols.

Firstly takes dogs which is such a rarity in Dublin with no fuss nor supplement. Secondly simply lovely staff, we had to cancel our second night stay at the last minute and they were so accommodating. A standard hotel but the location is excellent and great value, that plus dogs & great staff is a win.

Good hotel in great location to get into city restaurants and pubs. Staff are friendly. Aircon in the room, which is always good. Enjoyed the breakfast, even though menu limited during Covid. Little niggle was size of double bed - 4'6" we reckon. Minimum size for hotel this size has to be 5' or 5'6"

Stayed the last two nights here with the dog. The staff were excellent and very welcoming toward the dog which made our weekend. Your friendly pet can sit outside or inside with you while you get lunch/dinner. I can't recommend enough.

This is a very good hotel for 1 or 2 nights. I would recommend it more if you are a business traveler, not really for couples. For the price, everything was good: room, breakfast, service. I also liked the location, there are many restaurants and bars near the hotel.

1st class hotel, well it is The Hilton. Great prices fantastic staff always welcoming and helpful.luas just outside the door and free parking. The perfect place for a family break. Will definitely be back. loved it

The room was a bit tatty, badly marked desk with broken drawers. The bath wasn't the cleanest. Only 1 vegetarian option on the menu. We ended up having to go elsewhere for dinner. The hotel seems past it's best. The staff were lovely though, very friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Didn't ear there for dinner but did have the buffet breakfast which was good. Free parking under the hotel but space is extremely limited used to about 15 cars.

  • 5/5 Sarah S. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely rooms with everything we needed, including a US outlet. Parking is terrible however with only about 20 stalls in a tiny underground space. Didn't want to drive for fear of not having anywhere to park when we returned. Did a lot of walking, which was doable but significant.

I stayed with my husband for 2 nights for my brother's wedding. The hotel was easy to find via bus from the airport. However the maintenance noise drilling and hammering at 8am was dreadful we were not informed this was going to happen nor did they offer any complementary compensation for this i.e breakfast etc. When arriving they tried charging me for the room even though it was already paid for. And my relatives who were also staying the hotel were nearly charged also and for car parking. I have stayed at Hilton hotels before and it is disappointing that this did not measure to the standard I expected.

I booked a weekend stay at the Hilton in Charlemount Place. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The bar downstairs had a great atmosphere and even had live music. The room was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was lovely.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any place. This web site will compare thousands of hotel sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the most well known in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you choose this place you for sure will love it I'm sure! Lovely hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable.

The hotel staff are excellent. I would rate them 5 stars. I had food poisoning from a restaurant in the city center the night before I departed to go back home, and they were so helpful when I called them to ask for support. They were fast on the response and very kind, and genuinely cared for my well-being. Miguel was the one who answered the phone, and I forget his colleague's name, that kept bringing up 7-up and light snacks. She was so caring and went out of her way to ensure I was getting along fine. I want to thank them for that personally. It means the world to me that you showed me such kindness. I am rating the hotel overall as a three. The entry of the hotel and the restaurant are beautifully done. But once you get to the rooms, you have traveled back to the mid-2000s. My bed was hard, and the pillows disappeared under your head as soon as you lay on them. The shower is dated, and I am unsure what part of the hotel was refurbished. Maybe downstairs? For one night, I paid 285 euros; I think the hotel is overreaching with their rates. I would not pay more than 160 euros per night for this place. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews that said the same thing. Hopefully, you will.

I stayed here with my partner in October. They were doing the renovation on the upper floors and it was noisy during office hours but we were notified in advance. I hope we will visit again to stay in the renovated rooms. Otherwise, the room was big enough for 2 people with plenty of storage, the staff are helpful, and overall great stay. Oh, the breakfast was good! :)

  • 5/5 Jeremy F. 2 years ago on Google
I really had such a wonderful stay here. The hotel employees were ALL so kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable with easy access to the light rail just a few stops into the city center. Otherwise it's a 15-20 minute walk. The area of the hotel is nice next to the canal and close to Camden, with numerous bars, pubs and restaurants. I stayed here three nights and was definitely wishing I stayed longer. Perhaps on another trip to Dublin.

Please do not stay in this hotel hotel. The hotel is extremely in need of renovation. The rooms are small and all the same size. The bathroom is still ok. The food offer in the restaurant is poor. The room doors are not soundproof. The windows are partially broken and the window panes are partially blind! The absolute NO GO are the opening hours of the breakfast restaurant on weekends. The restaurant opens only at 08.00!!! For 3 nights I paid an average of 268.53 euros/night. I do not recommend the hotel at all!

The day prior to our arrival, I pre selected our check in time for 3pm. On the day of check in, my father and I travelled down from Northern Ireland to spend a few relaxing days in Dublin before I flew back to Australia. We actually arrived at the hotel at 3.45pm and were allocated twin room 126. When we entered the room, it was a total mess and had not been serviced after the previous occupant had left. Towels and rubbish everywhere and the smell was not great. I went straight down to reception and explained the situation and we were allocated a different room. Room 521. Upon entering this room, we soon noticed there were no chairs in the room. no chair at the desk and no secondary chair in the corner of the room. I called down to reception, who sometime later provided us with what appeared to be a dining chair. 1 chair for a twin room between two people. At no point during our stay were we contacted by any member of Hilton staff regarding our check in experience which I find very poor for a Hilton. The shower screen in the bathroom also leaked which resulted in water pooling over the bathroom floor anytime someone had a shower. I understand my father made reception aware of this. I was personally embarrassed as I recommended staying at this particular hotel as I had previously done so. Even though I am a Hilton Honours member, I highly doubt I will return to this hotel.

Everything very good, the rooms very clean. Only at reception was a young girl with blond hair who, after our card didn't work and we asked her to check it, spoke to us badly, which we didn't understand why. but the hotel is nice and everyone else was helpful.
