Went for a class trip. Recommend this hotel for literally any Americans who are trying to bring a big group because almost everything about this hotel and everyone at this hotel accommodated so well for us. It’s in between two tram stations that are both within a 4-5 minute EASY walk. They have conference rooms. Crazy!! This hotel is everything and amazing. The BREAKFAST is crazy. Had a dude opening the front doors on the way in and out during the day. Love her! Tip your cleaners and everyone too they deserve it!

What a lovely hotel with wonderful and friendly helpful staff! We stayed in a superior room which was done out simply but beautifully...the cleanliness of the room and bathroom were excellent! I'm a bit of a clean freak😂so this is very, very important, I couldn't fault it! The receptionist that greeted us on arrival was lovely and the bar staff were very helpful with a great sense of humour, I must tell them 'thank you for the Shiraz'(they will find this funny as you don't stock it but pretended my Merlot was one😂) It was a pleasure to stay at the Ashing Hotel and I would advise anyone I know taking a trip to Dublin to stay there. Thank you for helping to make our short break so enjoyable😊

Very conveniently located for train and bus riders, right across the way from Heuston Station. Lovely lobby and bar area. Room was immaculately clean, but smaller than I was anticipating. Great shower / bath combo. Comfy bed. Excellent service and a good breakfast - you can pay 5 euro extra to have it delivered as room service or you can take breakfast in the restaurant. They are willing to store luggage and I was able to check in early. Highly recommend.

Nice and clean. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. Rooms were tight but that can be expected for the city. The Ashling is a short and cheap €10 cab ride away from Temple bar area and Trinity College. It's walking distance to Jameson distillery and Guinness brewery. We enjoyed eating dinner just down the street to the west at the strip of restaurants. I would stay here again.

Conveniently located near bus and tram stops as well as the main train station. You can also walk to Phoenix park and/or the city centre easily if you are fit (we walked roughly 11 km/day three days in a row). I appreciate that they ask you at check-in whether you want your room serviced during your stay. We opted to have it left alone and they actually left it. Nice. If you use up your free water, coffee, etc you can always get refills from the staff. The staff is very attentive and professional.

We ended up booking this last minute when our flight was cancelled at 22.45, we arrived at the hotel by 23.30, checked in and room was fabulous, air con appreciated in this warm weather. Sound night sleep! The staff at breakfast were all so friendly and helpful, especially Rachel- thank you! The whole experience was so positive and really eased any stress we may have had with the delayed flight experience! Would recommend!

What a great hotel. A large group of us visited and were all very happy with our stay. The staff were very helpful with making sure I got a room that suited my accessibility needs. The breakfast is buffet style and nice, very standard hotel breakfast. When staying in December they have complimentary Mulled wine and Mince pies in the lobby. There is a nice bar and restaurant in the hotel which is slightly more expensive than nearby place but nice. Location is good, you 100m from the Tram and 20 min walk from Temple Bar. You also are on the opposite side of the river to Guinness storehouse so that is about 5 mins away.

Beautiful hotel. Blown away by the size of the bedrooms and the luxury of it. Great views from windows. Had dinner and breakfast here too and food was amazing. Other than dessert menu which took 30 minutes to get, it was spot on. Dessert was worth waiting for. Parking very handy. Staff very nice

I highly recommend anyone who wants to have a nice place to stay in Dublin to book a chamber in that hotel. It's one of the best hotel I have ever been. The people who works there are the best!

We stayed here a while back during the winter off-season. Got in to Dublin before 5am and the front desk helped us out by letting us check in *very* early to a great room. They were very accommodating for our entire visit. The hotel's lounge was a nice place for a drink and they had delicious breakfast in the morning. We're hoping to come back and this hotel will definitely be on our list.

Fantastic Hotel, friendly and welcoming staff. Food was excellent and good value for money. Just feel there should be more teas, coffees, milks, sugars especially as we were staying 4 nights. Bit embarrassing to keep asking staff for more. We like our tea and coffees in the morning. Keep up the excellent work.

This was a really nice hotel for a reasonable price. The location is close to some things but a good walk to many other sites. On average I would say a 15 to 30 minute walk depending on what you are going to do. But public transportation is just about everywhere so you can always use that option to get around as well. The bar and restaurant were nice and served good food, with a friendly atmosphere in both. Room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.

Beautifully presented Hotel, lovely clean rooms and friendly helpful staff, would recommend anyone visiting Dublin to stay here. Hotel is along the bus route and opposite the train station and about a 30 minute walk to the main shopping area, although only a 10-15 minute walk from local escape rooms. The lunch in the brasserie was delightful and after dining in the restaurant for Dinner all other restaurants have been ruined for me as it was the best food I have ever tasted! This place deserves all the stars ⭐️

Overall, it was a great experience. Lovely welcoming staff who were all so helpful from check-in to check out. We ordered room service after coming back from an event, and the service was quick. The food was fresh and piping hot. I would definitely recommend it.

Great location to have a walkabout Dublin. The rooms were perfect. The front desk staff was great. Also had a really good breakfast before we left. Definitely would stay again.

Perfect location near a train station. Very easy to get from the airport to the hotel. It’s a great location, everything we wanted to do was a short walk. The hotel offer chocolates as an upgrade and they were delicious. Phoenix park and the Dublin zoo are very close. There is a restaurant called Nancy Hands on the way and we ate there several times! Very happy to have found this hotel for my stay.

We had an exceptional time here. The staff was amazing and provided terrific recommendations for food, etc. in Dublin. It's located right by the Guinness Storehouse, too. The breakfast in the morning had many tasty options. Would love to stay there again.

We stayed at the Ashling Hotel in August and it was a nice experience, but it didn’t exceed expectations like other hotels we stayed at did during our trip. I found the room was much smaller than expected, however it served our needs and 4 of us were able to fit in the family room. The hotel is a little ways from downtown, but it’s an easy 10-20 min cab ride to get to many sights. Taxis had no problem finding the hotel for pick up or drop so that was nice.

My Mam and I were at a meeting at The Ashling Hotel and we got the buffet breakfast beforehand after traveling up so early, we were met at the door with a smile by the lovely Rachel who's kindness and hospitality made our experience so memorable. She looked after us well and was so welcoming, thankyou to Rachel and all the lovely staff for making our morning!!

The Ashling Hotel was our first stop on a self driving B&B tour of Ireland. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very well appointed, the beds were extremely comfortable. Definitely the nicest hotel we've stayed in.

I couldn’t have been happier with my stay. Food and lodging was excellent. I availed of an evening meal and breakfast during my 1 night stay (as a lone female not wanted to stray from the hotel in the evening and an early morning train to catch). I was arriving and departing via Heuston Station and it very convenient with a flat 5 minute walk between both. I was on the first floor and being accustomed to street noise I slept very well. I mention this as it is a city hotel and you will have some traffic noise. View this morning when I opened my curtains was lovely. The king suite is very spacious and comfortable. There was a large double shower and separate bath and two sinks with a generous vanity in the bathroom. I would happily stay here again and for an extended stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was an amazing experience me and my husband just got engaged and we decided to come to Dublin , Some of the staff we’re absolutely outstanding our waitress Clodagh made us feel so welcomed and she was so polite. But on the other hand the host was outrageous screaming at all hours of the morning!!

Clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Friendly staffs, pretty good food for breakfast with plenty of choices. Unfortunately they will only offer a full room service once, after that you can only ask for more towels, coffee, tea, etc.

My Wife and I passed by the Ashling Hotel yesterday morning on our way back home after completing the Darkness into Light walk in The Phoenix Park, we noticed some others inside having breakfast, we asked at reception were they open for breakfast to the public and we got a resounding yes and a really warm friendly welcome! The staff were lovely and the breakfast was great, I would strongly recommend!

Good quality hotel and room with facilities. Warm welcome and straightforward, helpful, check-in. Only minor issue was very slow room service without explanation on the one night - possibly due to coping with increased orders due to socially distancing? Limited view of sheep on rooftop from our specific room. Food good quality (we only tried pizza and the full Irish breakfast). I Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Helpful professional well trained staff. Great location. Good size room with comfortable large bed. However, bring ear plugs with you as with the lack of sound insulation makes you feel like you are sleeping in a tent!

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel - we had such a lovely experience here. We arrived around 12.15 pm and presumed we would just have to leave our bags as check-in time was 3pm. Lo and behold, our rooms were ready - fantastic. My room was facing the street with a lovely view of the park across the road. Staff were lovely, breakfast great, everything very easy and efficient including luggage we left on our last day - absolutely no trouble about leaving it and collecting it after. Top class. Only one small suggestion - we sat at a table towards the end of the bar and overhead there was an orange downlit lamp. There was a strong wattage bulb in it - unlike some of the others - and it made us all look haggard and wrecked!! So softer bulbs please!

Beautiful hotel in a great location, near authentic Irish pubs (check out Nancy Hands!) and the Heuston Station. Food is amazing, only bested by their wonderful service! Our room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Exactly what we needed and wanted. Highly recommend!

Stayed here last month during my honeymoon. Nice hotel with a good restaraunt and great staff. The room was a bit small, but expected that in an urban hotel. The parking garage was a bit tight driving in but luckily we didn't use it much. I'm assuming due to covid, the front entrance was locked so you had to wait for someone to come open in and unlock it to leave. There was usually a doorman waiting who would promptly let us in. Overall a good stay!

  • 5/5 Michael M. 2 years ago on Google
Great hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. Every need was catered for with no complaints and luggage was minded before check in and that allowed us to visit the Zoo with no worries, over all a memorable stay and we will be back in the future.

Stayed 3 nights in all and had a lovely experience. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The first two nights we were given a handicap friendly room. It was a rather big room and the bathroom was well equipped for elderly and handicap. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had to leave pretty early and they accommodate d our request for early breakfast....continental, but that was plenty for us. Had a wonderful breakfast on the first day with one staff singing Molly Malone for the guests!

The Ashling Hotel was absolutely fabulous. The staff were second to none and their attendance to children was lovely. We had a light lunch during the day and it was lovely but the dinner that evening was the nicest I have ever eaten in a hotel, presentation and flavours were so enjoyable, they must have a fantastic chef. Definitely worth a visit.

I wasn't staying there. I was there for a Training thing done in one of their conference rooms. Excellent scones, really good spread and all facilities in the hotel were great. I was very impressed with the food. The tea though... There are only two possible answers to this in Ireland, Barry's and Lyons. Yeah, if you want to offer mint tea and green tea that is fine but anything that isn't one of the top two is below par.

Even before I arrived at Ashling Hotel I was a bit of a pain (unintentionally) with reservation changes. Francesca very kind with helping me with my requests and very responsive. The second day I was here I started feeling ill and really appreciate Mike coming up to my room to drop something off to me and both individuals (I wish I got their names) who brought up room service. Food was excellent. Both the room and bathroom are huge. Bed is firm and comfortable. You can get lost in the amount of pillows they provide, which I absolutely love. Especially, being one that toss and turns in bed, no matter how much I move, there is always a pillow there for my head. Enough space in the room to not only feel comfortable when relaxing, but there is a separate working space in the room so you're not confined to the bed. There is coffee, tea, water, and biscuits in the room. They also provide you with a safety lock box, WiFi, and TV. My stay was very enjoyable even though I was sick most of the time.

This hotel is the best. Staff very helpful and polite. Room clean and tidy beds perfect. We all enjoyed our stay. Big thank you to all the staff.

I would have given them a 5 star except they kept our group waiting over an hour. They kept saying 15 more minutes… Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, has a bar, close to Guinness.

  • 5/5 Rebeccah W. 1 year ago on Google
Great hotel with great staff. We arrived early (and very jet lagged) on our check in date and they were able to get us into our room two hours early! Whenever we had to call down or talk to reception they were so kind and helpful. The hotel will call you a cab and give you any recommendations you may need. Also it is an AMAZING distance from the rail station, Guinness, Phoenix Park, pubs, and there are two hop on hop off bus stops within in walking distance.

  • 5/5 Eugenio D. 1 year ago on Google
Comfortable bed and room. Cozy and lovable. The only downside is the lack of a mini bar to cool your drinks. A little far from the center of the city, but being at the same time close enough to walk without losing too much time. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and I'll aim to repeat the stay if I visit Dublin again.

Stayed here on Monday with my Aunt, beautiful room, every member of staff were so nice and friendly, breakfast was excellent. One of the best hotels, I have stayed in over the last few months. Will definitely be back. I would 100% recommend the Ashling hotel .

The Hotel & Staff were helpful & friendly. It was the ideal location near the Train Station & Free Bus Service to Bloom. On checking out they held our luggage for the day while we enjoyed Bloom before getting the train home.

As first impressions go. This hotel ticks the boxes. The reception area was well decorated and everyone was friendly. The room was large with a great shower. I have to admit that the breakfast on offer is one of the best I have seen for a while, plenty of variety. The hotel is well located with good transport links to town and beyond. We enjoyed our short stay and will return. Thank you

This hotel is a beautiful hotel, staff very friendly, however on our first night there, we decided to have dinner as we were hungry & tired. We had travelled quite a long journey. We waited over an hour for our dinner. When it came, we could not believe the size of it, a child would have eaten more. We complained about waiting so long & were offered a free drink. It was hungry we were, not thirsty. Needless to say we got up from the table feeling hungry. Gluten free options were very disappointing. I personally stayed in this hotel before & the menu was fantastic. No complaints about the breakfast as it was very good.

Really lovely stay, you can see why this hotel rates so hugely from the minute you enter the foyer. The staff are all super nice and friendly and helpful always a step ahead with what u might want or need. The rooms are lovely, bright and immaculately clean. We ate in the restaurant the evening of our stay and while the menu was quite scaled back the food itself was delicious, piping hot and again the staff there couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful. Check in and out was also quick and easy
