Not Family friendly. The manager walked around with her sunglasses on the whole time we were there, she shouted at one customer from the bar to the entrance that they could come in but would have to order drinks and wait an hour and a half before they could order food and keep their kids seated. And told another man at the bar that it’s not a kid friendly place. She was so busy shouting at staff and customers that she ruined the atmosphere, don’t go here if you plan to bring a family

Visited the Haddington parlour on Tuesday and the food was delicious. Special thanks to our waitress Monica who gave our group 5* service. Nothing was a problem for her and she was so attentive and cheerful even though it was very busy. Will definitely be back

By far the best hotel I've stayed in in Dublin recently. I stay a bit due to work commitments, this place outshines many 5* hotels I've stayed at. If you have the budget to stay here do, it's in a superb location, staff are very well trained and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there.

A beautiful hotel, great friendly service. The restaurant serves a good breakfast and evening dinner is fantastic. Book to make sure you get in, well worth it.

Highly recommended. Cosy and clean hotel with very friendly, hospitable and helpful staff. The monkfish with asparagus in their restaurant overlooking the marina and breathtaking bay was delicious. We were even served by a friendly Ex Parisien in flawless French. Paula from reception even cancelled and rebooked the taxi several times due to our changing plans. Rooms were spacious, clean and cosy... and with a very good bed. Actually, this hotel deserves 4*.

Wow. After travelling by every form of transport it was incredible to be greeted at the door, have it open for me and for the reception to be so friendly going over an above to let me know of local conveniences. The room was really spacious absolutely spotless and has a beautiful furnishing and style which I just loved. I have stayed in a lot of hotels but this is my favourite by far. Fabulous 🤩

Utterly stunning hotel. Wonderful service from the entire team. Rooms were very well appointed and there was nothing I wanted for during my stay. I've still not found a hotel room that I enjoyed sleeping in but this place was perfect in pretty much every other way. The cocktail bar looked spectacular, though I only had a Nojito (it was good) as I had work to do. :-(

Haddington House is one of my favorite hotels that I have ever stayed in! It is very convenient to Dublin, only 20 minutes by DART train, and easily walkable to the shops and cafes in Dun Laoghaire. I really liked that I could stay in a quiet, peaceful place but easily get to Dublin. This exquisitely decorated and immaculate hotel has stunning views of Dun Laoghaire Harbor. I really enjoyed my breakfast looking out onto the sea. The Guinness bread is so delicious and I wished that I could have taken a loaf of it home with me. Emma and the staff at Haddington House were all absolutely lovely and made my stay so comfortable. I am really glad that I got to stay here at the start and end of my 4 week long trip around Ireland and the UK. My stay at Haddington House was one of the highlights of my trip. Haddington House is my first choice for any future trips to Dublin. *the photo was the view from my sea view room.

Just back from a 3 night stay in HH. It was a 5 star experience from a 3 star hotel. Location, service, food and comfort all suggested this small gem is punching way above it's weight. Best breakfasts ever. Reception couldn't have been nicer and helpful. We were celebrating a successful recovery from illness and Haddington helped make our trip memorable. Already planning a return next year. J

Great hotel, right on the harbour. Walking distance to shopping, attractions, etc. Very nice restaurant. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely boutique! Definitely tried to accommodate us though we did have to change rooms mid stay which was entirely my fault - would stay again, pick the sea view deluxe room!!

Rude unaccomodating manager with an unwelcoming grin ! I arrived at the restaurant at 5.50pm. I wanted to eat some small snack such a starter and drink some moctails for no longer than 20mins. I was told all tables on top are reserved and when I kept asking (several times) what are the next booking times for the next guests I was told there was one table out of 3 booked for 6 30pm which would give 40 mins free time! Ive dined out in many restaurants over the years ...in different countries and never have a come across such bad customer service ! The location is great but manager needs to work on her customer service skills. It's put me off ever returning and bringing my cousins there to dine out

I couldn't fault this unique townhouse. The location is beautiful with views overlooking the entire bay right over to Howth and the Bailey lighthouse. Dinner was spectacular, fitting us in as late arrivals was much appreciated. It's the little touches; beach bag, recyclable toothbrushes, hot water bottles... Brooklyn bikes... And that cocktail bar!! Charming and full of character... and characters!! Sometimes in places this good one could feel a slight arrogance from staff but the people who work here are down to earth, witty, warm and appear proud of their unique establishment. Keep doing what you're doing!

Nice hotel, rooms with a Seaview available. Clean, well maintained and chill atmosphere. I'd appreciate some local cuisine restaurant but the Italian-inspired one is decent!

The location by the sea and near friends made it perfect. It is close The Dart which makes it easy to get into Dublin. Friendly and welcoming hotel. Being an old building each room is different and that brings character and authenticity The restaurant is great for breakfast and dinner. The Bar is fantastic and you could spend a great deal of time there

Beautiful location and views, fabulous hotel, had pizza in the outdoor area overlooking the sea would highly recommend! Both staff who assisted with mein and ordering were fab! Unfortunately one down point mature security on the gate to garden quiet rude to a child climbing the tree ( no need for shouting) and rude to customers who said hello to him whilst passing this was the only flaw in this venue! Would definitely recommend this hotel

I wish there were more than 5 stars on this ap as this hotel is a gem in absolutely every sense. The staff are friendly ,efficient and just lovely. On upon arrival and departure I was struggling with the dead weight in my bag and on both occasions 2 different young men ( 1 the Gardner) without prompting came to my aid. The reception staff always had a good morning/ afternoon/evening for us and more often a friendly little chat to follow up. The staff in attendance during breakfast I found to be wonderful and the food the best I've ever had, full of flavour. I want to keep this gem a secret so I can return with no issues re availability but I can't see it remaining a well kept secret! I'm definitely coming back , thanks to all in the beautiful Haddington for our wonderful stay in our now favourite hotel

THE place to stay for visiting Dublin, if you don't want to stay in the city itself. There's an excellent connection - just 5 minutes away on foot- via DART, taking only 20 minutes to the center of Dublin. The hotel has a wonderful ambience and the staff is very helpful and more than friendly. The rooms are well equipped, comfortable and with all amenities. The location immediately at the sea front is excellent for strolls.

My husband and I had the most wonderful experience at Haddington House. From the sweeping, romantic view of the harbor and ocean to the warm and friendly service: Emma, Sinead, and everyone who helped us at reception, including the man who gave us advice on Bray (thank you to the staff member on Saturday morning who made sure we had the correct bus stop for the bus to DUB airport when we were leaving, too. Just lovely). Thank you, Nina, and your crew at breakfast (our day got off to a great start with friendly service and great food) and the dining staff and fantastic food at the restaurant Oliveto for dinner. Thanks to the great staff at The Parlour, where we had delicious, creative drinks before and after dinner. This is a lovely, cozy-casual-chic bar that made us feel right at home. I honestly have left my heart in Dun Laoghaire and this excellent hotel. Thank you to every staff member who made it so memorable for us.

This hotel is just perfect. Close to everything, beautiful inside and outside, people working there so nice and helpful. We will repeat as soon as possible without a doubt.

Love the location, great staff, good restaurant and bar, great outdoor patio on weekends with great views. The room was clean but a bit worn and could use an renovation - carpet tears, impractical tub/shower, cheap pillows, no handy bedside outlets for charging phones, etc. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and will stay again - just wish for a renovation. Front desk staff were phenomenal with recommendation in Dun Laogharie and Dublin!

Went for afternoon tea. Really beautiful setting and close to the pier for a great walk too. Well worth a visit!

Nice hotel but BE VERY CAREFUL when booking through their website. When I arrived, there was no reservation for me. We discovered then that the booking I made had all the wrong information.. The date, my first name & phone number were all wrong AND.... I discovered they had charged me a week prior - the very day I made the booking - as a no show. Disappointingly, they refused to take any responsibility for this. Make sure also to bring earplugs as there is train noise from outside & the cistern / plumbing in the en suite is very loud also. Lift was not working.

We live locally and have frequented this establishment over the years. Whilst out walking my partner needed the bathroom. Whilst walking down the stairs she was shouted at by the receptionist and told she couldn't use the facilities. No need for this, we will never darken their door again. A beautiful, quirky hotel overlooking the pier, fabulous staff and the decor throughout the hotel and bedrooms is stunning. Gorgeous breakfast as well, would highly recommend a stay here 😋 😀

Great food and beverages and charming restaurant and bar. Bedroom a bit mixed. Nice coffee machine. V small tv. Main problem: little or no hot water in the morning for a shower. And only Tepid/warm at other times. They were half-hearted about investigating and failed to fix, or move rooms or attempt to make up for in any way at all for a 4 night stay.

A really wonderful and skillfully decorated hotel. the milieu and the scenery are wonderful. Too bad we couldn't stay longer. I would say that this is a five-star hotel rather than a three-star one

Only booked a table for a few drinks and a pizza with friends on a Friday evening so I can only assume the hotel must be as good as everyone on here says but someone needs to tell the angry dude in the white shirt he’s basically running a garden with a few picnic benches out the back. Had our 1 year old with us and you’d swear we asked could he help make the pizzas when I asked if they did high chairs. Considering genuinely every second family had kids with them & it was 4pm on a summers eve you might want to rethink the attitude on kids. Haddington House & Olivettos you’re confused….you give wristbands to adults who want to go pee but serve pizza on outdoor furniture. Delicious pizza though

Sunday lunch in Oliveto Restaurant on a Cold afternoon. Did not have a booking but was accommodated with a welcome of friendliness & kindness . Sunday menu to suit all tastes to the highest of standards . We only intended on having a main but we were intrigued by the tastes we had to extend to the deserts and we were not let down . Three of us had different dishes and we shared them with each other . The staff were excellent and insightful of their menus. I would strongly recommend this restaurant and the next time I return, will make a reservation with a window for the view over Dublin Bay .

Really great place to stay. This is an older hotel and the floors creak a bit but the location is fabulous. We had a room looking out at the pier. Bed was very comfortable, and the amenities were great. The decor is gorgeous especially in the bar which looks like some kind of throwback. Dinner at Olivetto was delicious and breakfast was also very good. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Everyone was so warm and friendly and helpful particularly Ani at the front desk and Kevin in the bar. Would definitely stay here again

Rude waiter staff. I was informed by two staff member that the restaurant kitchen was open until 9:30 pm. We had about 30 minutes to order. One staff kindly showed us where to sit so we did and waited for about 10 minutes just to have a rude staff saying that the kitchen was closed. When I said that we were informed kitchen was open till 9:30 he rudely said" that's the wsy it is today ". He then turned his back and walked over a table of 10 guests and started taking their orders. Felt extremely awkward with the situation. Went to talk to the manager to understand was wrong as I just wanted to order 1 pizza but the service was rudely denied while a group of 10 was serviced straight away. All to hear that the other table had a reservation. I don't understand how come the chef could make 10 pizzas but couldn't add an extra one. I wouldn't never go back to this place again.

🫤 The atmosphere is very nice, the prices are great, but the service is very complicated. You can check tables littered with bird droppings and no one to clean them. I tried to approach the waiters a few times to place orders and just got ignored. Some menu items I tried to order were unavailable. I h...

👍👍 The perfect place for delicious Fish & Chips. The children’s pasta pesto is a-ma-zing! Our server, Angie, was great! Super thoughtful and attentive. We’ll definitely swing by when we’re in Dún Laoghaire again!
