I stayed one night and so i can describe some problem link to the room : The floor is noisy and damaged, there is no isolation so you can easily here noise from outside and neighbor. There were a problem with the shower (regulation of the hot water and the flow going outside). Finally, there is a safe but it is not fix and hide anywere, so anyone can easily bring it with him. The good point of this hotel is that there is a strong security check at the entrance and the reception ask you to let the key to them when you are leaving the hotel to go for a walk outside. Don't really recommend for people looking for a long stay but can be good for people staying less than 3 days and want to save.

In the midst of Celtic Tiger, they built a hotel in the MIDDLE of the bloody highway. Madness!

Pretty sufficient hotel in the heart of Dublin. The Airport Bus stop is exactly in front of the street, so you can have a short and quick walk with your luggage. The room was a little bit small, such as the bathroom but very good cleaned by the lady. The worst thing was surely the mattress, it looked much more like a hammock and it was V E R Y little (French-size bed 😱)! Anyway, the price was very convenient and the reception staff very collaborative and welcoming, so I surely would recommend it, if you don't have too many pretensions! πŸ˜‰

I don't recommend it, and I'll tell you why. There are many negatives, and few positives. Here are the negatives: I slept in a room shared with girls and silence times were not respected (the rules of the hostel say that the light must be turned off at 11PM and guests should not disturb, but actually the light is not turned off at that time and guests continue to talk loudly even until late at night or early in the morning, they talk to each other or on the phone, without headphones and loudly), so you can't sleep. The room is dark because the windows are tiny and can't be opened, so no air gets through. Also, the bathroom sink is tiny and works terribly, the water comes down in short, vigorous sprays, so you can't wash your hands or face, and you squirt everything around. Also, there is no hairdryer, I asked for help at the reception and they told me they no longer had it because it was broken ... for a girl with long hair it is a disaster. Another unacceptable thing is that the sockets to charge the mobile are all Irish style, so for European tourists who have different chargers this is a problem and the hostel does not provide the adapters freely: you have to pay for them if you need them, and in a hostel that hosts many foreigners this is absurd, the adapters should be free or they should provide international sockets. Another inconvenient thing is that suddenly my card to open the door no longer worked, at the reception they told me that it is due to a "system update" which does the security reset of the cards, a nuisance. Finally, breakfast is not included in the dorms. The only positives are that the hostel is in a very good and central position, that the room was well heated, you don't risk getting cold at night, and that the shower has hot water. However, the shower doors do not close properly so you gets everything around wet. My advice is, even if you have a limited budget, to book in another hostel, as this is really inconvenient.

Very very bad experience. We booked another hotel… The staff is very unfriendly and rude. The worst part the room. The door was not able to lock. So everybody from outside could enter our room. The bathroom was disgusting, the water was brown and alot of black mold. The area around is just , not it. Not feeling save their as a woman at night. Please save your money don’t book here.

The first room they gave us was in the basement, with a very claustrophobic sensation. When we complained, the receptionist gave us another room with more space and light, but the toilet and shower weren't working and it was quite dirty. The mattresses were in bad shape, I felt almost every spring that was in it. A bit pricy for what we had, but at least the sheets were clean.

This hostel is the cheapest hostel in Dublin, even thought it's not cheap at all, the prices wereΒ not worth to pay. We staid 3 nights in a shared room for 8 girls. The rooms are untidy (the walls were falling off and moldy) the mattresses were old and worn out (really uncomfortable). There was no electricity in the room, so we had to go to the commune area to charge the phones, and we complained and they did not do anything about it. Also, theres no lookers to keep your personal stuff in the room, only some small and really torn apart lockers (where u could not fit anything) and you had to buy the locks. Β The only good thing is that is really central and easy to talk to the turistic attractions in 12 minutes.

I stayed for 1 week in a 8 person shared room. It is a simple hostel in relation with the price. The most I liked was the cleaning, they cleaned the room and common areas very often. There is someone at reception all the time, that made me feel very safety. The mattress are not comfortable.

Welcoming, well organised - kept clean and efficient by nice staff. Varied age demographic, and variety of available rooms if you want to pay the extra. For price and central accessibility, you're paying for somewhere to simply sleep - that's all I was looking for and they done very well in a high traffic area of the city.

Negative first. the bed was very uncomfortablei Could feel the spring pressing against my back the mattress didn't help at all so you couldn't relaxs everything else was good the location was fantastic for me. Breakfast was good. The rooms where fine wish they had a wardrobe or a chair to put your stuff on and they have lockers but most of them were broken and damaged. I would go to the place again but ask can I get a better mattress

Disappointed experience. No lockers in dorm. No sides to bunk beds. No kitchen or fridge.. No hot water in bathrooms. Of the five hot water taps all had been dismantled.

I booked this hostel in August 2021 via booking.com with free cancellation. I could not travel to Ireland because of covid so 3 days later I activated my free cancellation And received confirmation that I would not be charged. But they lied because they took my money ran my credit into the Red and I have still not received a Refund. Booking.com is a con artist of a travel company because they have done nothing to assist me. Not even the courtesy of replying to my emails but they keep sending me offers of a new holiday places to stay!!! They have no shame whilst My place Dublin looks like a nightmare place to stay judging my the inane staff who have answer the phones. So do not book with Booking.com and do not get tricked by this hostel reasonable Prices. Honesty and Integrity are more important than price and My Place Dublin has neither - You have been warned !! One STAR is more than double what they deserve. P.s I will fight to get my money back. I will not go quietly into the night. No

I stayed one night, and picked it because it's inexpensive and easy to get to and from the airport. The lady at the reception was nice, but not very informative. The bed was comfortable and clean but the carpet in the room was gross. There were many other issues that shows why it's on a 2 star place.

Satisfying hotel with great starting point for staying in Dublin. Not in the center but the bus and metro stations are like 5 minutes away. Prices are okay. You can also eat breakfast. They also have a storage, so you can leave your baggage there if you want to see anything before going to the airport. The lounge has tables and a microwave, so you can also heat your own food there. Rooms need to be renovated, but for the price it was alright. Recommended πŸ‘πŸΌ

Run down place. Many things broken. Thin wall. Bad window. Risk of injury because of broken floortile. No place to feel home. Invest 10€ more to get some comfort somewhere else.

Friendly staff and easy check in and check out. Didn't like having the leave the key with reception when leaving the building during the stay but at least it is a nice security measure.

TERRIBLE HOSTEL! - there are no spaces in the room to store personal items and clothes. - There is only one bathroom with no window and no hot water and shower. - for the showers you have to go down two floors on foot, they are cold and old, I often found spiders. - there is no kitchen, hot water is offered but there is no tea and coffee. - it is not possible to drink alcohol in the common room. -There is no you have to make the bed - it's expansive

Photos and description are very misleading. Rooms are below average. Leaking ceilings and broken furniture. U will be able to hear every noise your neighbours make. It is alright if u only plan on sleeping there for a couple of nights.

I paid for a room through booking.com, cancelled over 48 hours before arrival, I didn't expect the money back, figured it would be taken for the inconvenience. They pretended not to see the cancellation until the day of arrival, it was done through booking.com, so I have more than enough proof that they were late to respond, not me. When they finally got back to me, they demanded more money, I reminded them that I'm not looking for a refund, they are welcome to keep that money, but that doesn't matter, I have to pay a cancellation fee. The one time I've had to do this in the past, the hostel had no issues cancelling, responded on time and even partially refunded. These clowns pretend to not see their emails for a few days, to overplay their inconvenience. I moved my cash into another account, to avoid them charging my account, as they say they are intending to do. Complete scumbaggery

Excellent place for a budget holiday day !spent 5 nights clean room and bedding towels changed daily manager & staff pleasant and welcoming. Don’t be phoned by outside there are lots of hostels on Gardiner street and some strange people about but you don’t need to involve yourself with them ! Had a great time .

Good service and comfortable place. Attention, you can't use kitchen hang up of corona constructions. Front of this hotel there is stop station can take a bus number 41 to the Dublin airport.
