Good but not great. Expected more at this price. Rooms are lovely and spacious and good location. Cleaning every day and fresh towels was also great! Upstairs reception area/bar/workspace is modern and has great views. Downside is the staff. Waited 25 min to ask reception a question. Minimal reception always on duty and always a long wait. Also not very friendly or engaging. Upstairs area great for drinks but hard to use as a workspace as music is played very loudly. You will have to work in your room. When asked if we can use the business room they said they charge per hour. Gym is fine but needs a few extras like barbell etc. Can do the basics. Overall hotel is nice but clients service can definitely improve. I feel the bar/reception area cater more for drinks than them actually helping their guests.

As an ambassador elite Marriott member, and having stayed in well over a hundred Marriott hotels, I was disappointed with the Aloft Dublin city, during my stay in mid December. The staff were not up to the standards of service that I am accustomed to and seemed annoyed when I questioned the €50 a night deposit, saying that was the norm in Dublin. Having stayed at a different hotel in Dublin tonight, and not paying a deposit- this is definitely not the case. Also we had to be moved from a suite to a normal king room because there were literally no lights in half of the room (completely dark) and the bathroom door fell off it’s hinges onto me (incredibly heavy!). The room we moved to was okay, but the robe was shredded to tatters and parts of the room felt poorly constructed and a bit dirty. The second night, there was a private event on the top floor where the lobby was, and our room below was vibrating and shaking from the loudest bass- waking us up before a flight. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel, given that it is not cheap and there a guests paying for a decent nights rest. It was so loud you could hear the words of the songs and drunk people screaming from the floor above. Staff were not accommodating. I would recommend never staying here, it is poor service and even poorer accommodation, given that private events are allowed to be hosted. Find somewhere else that is cheaper, pretty much guaranteed to have a better nights rest.

If you are expecting a nice place with exceptional service, skip this hotel. The staff is not friendly or accommodating, and they really don’t care if you have a complaint. It was clean enough, the location was okay (but not the best). The bellhop guys were nice. They were the only people in the hotel that were. If you are from the states, it may not live up to what would be considered a 4 star location back home. Stay elsewhere if you want quality. If you are going for bare bones budget and don’t care about service, it’s probably fine.

We enjoyed our time at the Aloft. The reception and team members were fantastic. They welcome you with warm smiles and a friendly demeanor. The rooms are great. When you walk it is big bright and warm. The windows are large. The bathrooms are new and bright. If you aren't familiar with the tap system you may get a cold shower.

Aloft Our stay at the Aloft hotel in Dublin was nothing short of fantastic. Everyone was attentive to our needs. We were always greeted with a smile and thoughtfulness. We were treated as if we were family. Our infant came down with fever and everyone was helpful and sympathetic; continuing to ask how the little one was doing. The bar was excellent and the service top notch. The room cleaning staff was attentive and did a great job every time cleaning the rooms. The pandemic temporarily changed hotels; yet, Aloft Dublin continued to value customer service aa everyone was great. There was miscommunication with room rates but that was quickly and consistently handled with professionalism. Charlie was a true professional at every turn with his colleagues Ian and Paul. Michael was helpful and offered assistance for our infant at various times. Ahmadou, Victoria and countless others Were great. I believe that I am writing all of this because everyone at Aloft Dublin had humanity. It was nice to experience humanity on our vacation! Thank you! - John & Audrey (Platinum Elite)

Great hotel with lobby and lounge on the top floor. Outstanding views of the city and countryside. The service and concierge knowledge is top notch. Absolutely loved our stay. Perfect location for our time in Dublin. Walkable to spots on either side of the city. [Looks far on map, but in reality less than 1 kilometer].

This place was excellent! I travel a lot for work and was very impressed with this hotel and the staff. We were staying 3 nights before driving out to Doolin. We arrived 6 hours before check in and they were working to get our room ready. They provided us free drinks at the bar while we waited. When I told the front desk staff we would be parking a rental car the next day, he asked if we were picking up at the airport. I confirmed we were. He said 'I know the people at the Hertz a 5 minute walk from here, let me see if I can arrange a pick up at that location and save you time and money going out to the airport.' A few minutes later he had confirmed this, which saved us a hefty taxi fare and a lot of time. This was the theme with all of the staff - extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Continuing to surprise us throughout the visit. Additionally, the accommodations were wonderful. Great rooms, great location (two distilleries across the street and shopping close by), and a fantastic breakfast. This was a wonderful stay and a great kick off to our Irish holiday. Thank you! Chris

Had a seamless and welcome check in this morning. Nadia at the front desk was fantastic. The staff are very friendly and service oriented. The hotel is well maintained and centrally located. It was a bonus to actually get an upgrade as a Platinum member as many of the Marriott's are not doing a good enough job in this regard. Kudos to Aloft and their lovely staff.

Very friendly staff and great breakfast, traditional English or rather Irish I should say, as well as fruit options with cereals, nice juices, good coffee machines. The crew is very helpful also with extra wishes. Room was nice, clean and well maintained. Getting to the city is either by taking the bus (3 minute walk) or by walking all together (10 minutes) walk. I visited a concert at 3Arena and the bus left almost right at the hotel so it saved me from paying for a taxi. I would def. come again. Also the kids loved it. Good job Aloft Dublin City.

We had a great stay at the Aloft! Our room was so spacious and clean. The housekeeping staff was excellent. They provide water which was so awesome because many places in Ireland it is hard to find water. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of pillows. Our room stayed cool at night considering the warmer days while we visited. The gentleman on the first floor greeted us and took our luggage due to issues with their system checking customers in. The only downside is it is a distance from most main attractions other than Teeling. If you do stay here, plan on paying some taxi fees to get around.

We recently stayed here and enjoyed our stay. Located a short walk from the city centre of Dublin this is a modern hotel with bright colors, modern rooms and good service. The room was nice and had a fabulous bed. Nice towels and bathrobes were provided and the shower was also nice. The room had a small mini bar and, supplies to make coffee and tea. Unfortunately they were inconsistent with replenishing supplies, so we ended up with no milk and bottled water. Continental breakfast here is nice but the cooked Irish breakfast was chewy and tough, as it had been precooked and sitting under heat lamps for too long. Why they cannot cook to order is beyond me. Staff are very friendly and overall we enjoyed our stay here. Would come back again.

Great stay for work. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The hotel layout was unique where reception was on the top floor but it had great views. They held my suitcase when I got in early. The bed was comfy and the overall room was nice. I enjoyed the breakfast included with my room.

Very comfortable hotel, well located within walking distance of many attractions, distilleries, and pubs. Also close to an on/off bus location for easy access. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The bartender, Charlie Heaven is the best. The signature drinks in the bar on the 7th floor were all special creations and must be experienced.

Amazing top notch hotel Great and external, internal and rooms design. Big rooms and beds - really comfortable stay Breakfast was amazing! And the service exceptional Is 15 minute walk from city center - not a big issue but not THERE. On the other hand this makes the rooms silent to the external busy streets of Dublin center Really enjoyed the stay there

First time to Ireland and stayed at the Aloft in Dublin. Rooms were clean and daily housekeeping dud a good job. Hotel is easily in walking distance to St Patrick’s Cathedral and Dublin Castle. Breakfast was pretty good each day. Service staff were helpful, you can buy a voltage converter at the front desk if you forgot to bring one.

Nice, well appointed rooms with a comfortable bed. Bar is open on top floor until 11:30 pm and has, mostly despite some construction, great views. Easy walk to St. Patrick's Cathedral and around the corner from Teelings. Check in is on the top floor. Breakfast was also a solid offering.

Nice, clean rooms, very modern. The staff are all friendly and helpful, especially Damian (He's THE MAN!!!). Good breakfast, bar and staff are great, as well. Tenters is definitely worth a try. Teeling is just around the corner, Fallon's, a local pub, just a short walk away, not to mention St. Patrick's Cathedral.

So attentive service and exceptionally great food. It was our anniversary weekend and they gave us a surprise present. It was such a lovely gesture that made this the best trip away that we have had in many years. Thank you so much.

The loveliest staff that greeted us with a smile every day and made us feel so welcome. The hotel is right in the middle of Dublin yet has a private feel to it. The decor is cool and relaxed and the hotel is spotless clean. We had dinner in the Gastropub and the food was delicious, the service was again so welcoming and accommodating. The 7th floor bar gives a wrap around view of Dublin. This is also where breakfast is so you can eat and enjoy the spectacular views. Thank you for making our stay a great one and we will be back in the future. Tine and Eric

This is a great hotel located in a cute part of dublin. Only about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the heart of the city this hotel gives a great city hotel experience. The reception is on the 7th floor and the views of the city are super cool. Staff was very friendly, hotel was quiet, and rooms were spacious and clean. Location felt really safe and quiet as well.

We stayed here for the weekend and everything was perfect, the ladies who checked us in were so helpful and accommodating. Room was so clean and the food was delicious and all the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Was really impressed with the breakfasts and rooftop bar also, no faults will definitely be back :)

Great location and spacious rooms. The cleaning service is not up to standards, laundries bags missing, and you have to call reception to remind the housekeeping staff to leave laundry bags and replenish the toiletries amenities. Bad wife and bad network in certain areas of the hotel, is not a comfortable hotel if you are here for work, look for another place that will give you a proper service so that you can fully relax after a long day of work and not giving you stress for little things that they don't do properly. So far this is the worst marriot hotel I have been

Good clean hotel, only problem is the elevators. When there are groups you need to wait a long while, but hey the pubs are close by. Staircase is only for emergency. Breakfast is good. Rooms are clean and modern.

  • 5/5 Nicholas F. 1 year ago on Google
I checked in after taking the elevator to the top floor and the front desk agent (Dani) was fabulous. The room was nice, simple and clean. The shades kept out light at night with was great. The team (Mattias?) downstairs was very nice and helpful with directions too.

Aloft was a great hotel experience! The staff were friendly, location was perfect, and we were close enough to all the action, but not overwhelmed in the centre of it. The infant cot was in great condition and our baby had a comfortable sleep. The top floor common area is very nicely done and well kept.

The hotel is fine, what you'd expect from the Aloft brand. The location is great, and I really enjoyed the downstairs pub that it connects to. The overnight team was superb, they went out of their way to get me food on a late night out in Dublin which was very much appreciated. The day time front desk staff was hit or miss, not super helpful or nice.

We were only here for one night, but had a nice stay. Staff were super friendly and eager to assist with any request. Location was great. Quiet street about a ten minute walk to the heart of the city. As an aside, we walked back to the hotel late at night after going to the theater, and felt very safe doing so.

Slightly above average pricing, but it's so incredibly worth it. Staff are incredibly kind and accommodating, from check-in to departure they were always doing little things like delivering water to our room, pointing us in the right direction to attractions, and even letting us know elevators were open when we were a few pints in and hadn't noticed. The rooms and views are also stunning to boot!

  • 2/5 Klim 2 years ago on Google
Pretty okay, you pay mostly for brand, not service. Location is great. Staff is friendly until you need something from them. When I asked something in chat, they called to the room. Lol, why? Just send a message No word about upgrade, even if I gold member lol. Just voucher for simple drink and I couldn’t use it without QR code they need

Great place to stay while visiting Dublin. We stayed there both at the beginning and at the end of our trip. Both times the hotel upgraded us to a nice suite and a very nice welcome gift. Hotel is aobut 10-15 minute walk from everything. I even recommended this hotel to a friend that was visiting Dublin in a week. Staff was very friendly and accomidating and we would 100% stay there again next time we come back to Dublin.

My daughter booked 2 rooms for us in the Aloft, really looking forward to it and what a disappointment. We arrived on Friday and in checking in we were asked for €200 per room that they would either take on a credit card or cash, a debit card not acceptable.. this was money they would hold to cover any damage to the room. We have stayed in many hotels in many places over the years but never was asked for anything like this. There was another couple booking in at the save time as us who had a big problem with it as well. It is stated nowhere in writing that this is the case. We created such a fuss that we ended up holding €200 for 2 rooms. The other couple as well as this problem were being charged more than what was advertised on booking.com I really think they just left. We arrived back at the hotel 10.30ish pm and parked the car in like a side entrance not an official car park, there was a guy there who was looking after cars like a night porter. He took keys of car and told us there was a €5 charge for overnight parking, my daughter was giving him €20 he had no change neither had any of us, he suggested pay the €5 on checking out.. Another drama checking out, rooms had to be checked to get our deposit back and looking for €25 for parking, we stated the facts from the night before talking to 2 ladies in reception meanwhile one of them took the €25 from my card account whilst the other had agreed to take €5 and the lady who agreed to take €5 refunded €20 to my account. We have stayed in many hotels in Dublin over the years and this was the worst experience ever, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.. night away totally spoiled, a drama checking in and a drama checking out. As for the breakfast anyone who enjoys a full Irish breakfast forget it. In fairness staff were lovely and very helpful,

Nice hotel in a great location. Colourful decor. Give yourself plenty of time for checking out. First problem is lifts very busy at midday as reception is on the top floor. Also gets very busy as exit is on ground floor. Very busy lift because two trips instead of one like in a normal hotel.

We loved it. This hotel may be off the beaten path, but it was right next to where my child was staying. The breakfast was good, the bar was convenient. I felt like the concierge, the bell boys, the check-in staff and the bartender went out of their way to help us find anything that we needed.

  • 5/5 Jenn G. 2 years ago on Google
This is an excellent example of the Aloft brand. It is distinct, funky, and friendly. Rooms are a great size with everything you need. Registration and bar on the top floor offer a brilliant view of the Liberties. The staff is very nice and Covid precautions are implemented without fuss flawlessly.

I've come back to this hotel multiple times, and it's always been a very comfortable stay. The location of the hotel is top-notch; very convenient to explore the inner city of Dublin. The breakfast offers a varied selection of food and starts relatively early. Most of all, the staff is exceedingly friendly, welcoming, and service-oriented. Allowing flexibility with the car valet service, dinner from Tenter's pub, and generally being helpful with travel tips, they've made a great stay excellent. Special props to Damian from guest relations, who many guests will get to acquaint with!
