I've stayed here about 9 years ago it was great and comfortable Now I stayed there last week my God run down smells of damp no cutlery in or suite we asked for some never got it + the fan in the bathroom didn't work. In the leisure centre my wife miss placed her dress in the changing room and she said it to the staff so we came back the next day and the staff said they checked All the lockers and couldn't find it so my wife went in to have another look and she found it !! And there's more I could talk about ... Avoid this place

Unfortunately this was the worst hotel I have stayed in. The only good part of our stay was the lovely staff serving us our meal. Definitely not worth the price of accommodation and everything could do with a good clean and update. When we first went into the room we noticed a tissue on the ground that was full of blood and part of the walls had blood splats on the wall. In fairness we where moved rooms straight away this was a big turn off for us. That evening we had a meal in the Clayton and when we went outside for some fresh air a person who was also staying in the hotel approached us to tell us that he had an awful embarrassing experience. The receptionist gave him his room card and when he went up to the room to his shock there was a lady lying on the bed and she got an awful fright and started to scream. /we where then on edge thinking could the staff give customer a room card to our room. The lifts are also an absolute joke they send you to the top floor then back again if you hit ground floor. we felt like we waisted our money on a very low class hotel. I have been to a few Claytons before and they honestly have been a lovely stay. This unfortunately was not

The stay was pleasant. Pro - it’s in a perfect location and you can access the Liffey Valley shopping center. The rooms were well maintained. The breakfast was continental and it had good service. The restaurant had amazing food with a decent menu also had good quantity. The jacuzzi , sauna , steam room and swimming pools are well maintained. The reception or people working in the reception lacked a bit of courteousness and seemed to be not very welcoming.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, any requests was dealt with in the most professional manner, the rooms were very clean, neat and tidy, the bar staff were eager to serve in the evening, and the breakfast was a relaxed affair where you could eat as much as required wether it be a full cooked feast,, cereals or continental breakfast, or a combination. Personally I can't think of anything negative to say about our stay in this establishment.

The experience at the hotel was overall nice. In-person, the staff were friendly. The room was clean, and lovely. However, there was an issue with the booking where I had to add an extra day, this for some reason could not be done over the phone, or online; I had to wait to fix this at check-in. Then after checkout, I noticed they charged me an additional €134 euro. When I got through to them, they told me that it was for a no-show charge for the room (clearly my booking ammendment was too complicated for their system and booked me for two rooms). This staff member told me she would confer with her manager to get the refund started. Two weeks later and nothing. When I called to ask apparently the manager took two weeks holiday and nobody was left to issue refunds. I was told to call back when the manager returned. Now when I call I am asked to call back in two days, then that the manager will call me. I am still waiting for this to happen. It is such a pity that this bad management has to tarnish an otherwise pleasant stay.

We were not informed that the pool was closed for renovation. The only reason I booked this hotel was so my daughter could use the pool, we had booked the Wildlights at Dublin zoo. we live in the west of Ireland so we could of came back home on the same day. The TV in our room was broken, there wasn't enough towels and no milk for Tea or coffee ( no nice bits like biscuits or hot chocolate sachets), the hotel had a very bad toxic smell ( we were told by staff that it wasn't harmful) from the pool renovations, The smell was so bad we couldn't eat in the hotel bar. The hot drinks machine was broken in the bar so couldn't even buy a hot chocolate. We booked our Breakfast for 9:30, no one came to our table to offer Tea/ Coffee ( had to go looking for staff) the breakfast had no variety for vegetarians and ran out of food ( scrambled eggs and croissant etc). I could see loads of people with loaded plates of food heading back to their rooms. It was like the kitchen was closing up and it was only 9:30 am, I would of came down earlier if I knew there would be less food on offer. Saying all that the staff were lovely and the manager reimbursed us €39 for the inconvenience. However I do feel really let down not being told the pool was closed as I would of booked it as a surprise for the kids when it was open. Very poor customer service, with regards lack of communication.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Because the person at the reception is fat, the movement is slow. I think that this hotel did not go bankrupt well in Corona. Unfortunately, I never want to visit Ireland again because of this hotel. Hotel services are not priced accordingly. I sincerely hope that all the staff will change their minds and change the service from now on. I do not recommend this hotel unless you are European. It's a pity that you were looking forward to Ireland.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff / location and super food, we unfortunately had issues with our room, faulty broken light switch and a leaking shower, which judging by the stains has not been fixed for months, the bathroom floor was covered in water which is a slip hazard. We had a meal in the restaurant which was fantastic, our waitress Emma was very helpful and friendly.

Wow what a great experience! Sean only sorted us out when we had minor issue early but sorted us an amazing upgrade on our room. The hotel process was fast and simple and had no issues dealing with our Reservation details. I’d recommend Clayton hotel over any other major hotels and will definitely be back again in the future! Sean is a credit too your hotel and deserves a massive promotion. Customer service 10/10.

We had a lovely family stay here, room was fine, staff friendly and helpful, my daughter loved the curry dish on the menu, breakfast was a wide variety but would have loved to have pancakes as an option. Unfortunately when we arrived we were refused entry into the pool as it was at full capacity which was disappointing, but I suppose was outside the control of the hotel. When we did gain access the following day we were pleasantly surprised with the temperature of the pool, it was so warm. One of the nicest pools we've been in!

I must say I am really, really disappointed. I generally don’t write bad comments but this time I cannot hide my dissatisfaction. First of all, the main toilet nearby the reception was such a disaster, so dirty that made me feel like puke! But I said to myself ok, these are only toilets that I'm not going to use anymore anyway. Second, as this is a 4-star hotel, I expected the room to be cleaner - spider webs on the windows plus a spider on the ceiling! Not to mention I had to stay in the dark despite 3 lamps in the room and none of them had a light bulb. I had to call reception 2 times and in the end, nobody brought light bulbs, even though they said they will sort it out for me. Also not to mention there is no room service when I called reception, they told me that I need to go downstairs to collect it by myself. And hey, this place they are calling a 4-star hotel. If this was a 4-star hotel, I just wonder how does the lower star hotel look like? Also, I was supposed to get a double bed, not two single beds joined together!!! Such a horrible place I really must say, and for the money I paid, it's not worth it at all. Shame on you, guys!

I thought it was very pleasant. The hotel is in good shape and well finished, there is obviously good attention to detail here. The food in the bar was outstanding, we ate there two nights in a row instead of eating out because the food was so nice. I must say the staff that looked after us were very very nice, especially the manager, also the tall guy with glasses and the girl with the tattoos. It was refreshing to have such nice servers. We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

We had a nice stay, the hotel was very clean the staff were very helpful. My wife, two boys and I enjoyed our dinner and the breakfast was very good. Our visit to the pool area was short as it was very overcrowded which was disappointing as if was one of the parts our boys were really looking forward to. I have to add that been changed €8 to park our car on the hotel grounds was unexpected and over the top. Overall we had a nice stay.

Excellent location, Staff were friendly and very helpful when asked for extra towels etc, Breakfast was ideal, parking was ok. And the stay was pleasant overall! Two areas for improvement - Dishes, glasses trays in the hallways walking with a toddler needed some care, and the room could do with a deep clean overall it was clean but it was dusty in corners behind door, under bed

Nice clean hotel. There is a fridge in the room which is handy. Faults would be you have to pay for parking which is 8 euro not bad but would expect it to be included at what they are charging you for a room and the fact they are not in the city center which would be expected. also our sink plug didn't not work so we couldn't release the water resulting in us having to wash teeth by bath tub etc. Over all it was a satisfactory stay.

Very unaccommodating hotel and staff. It is not wheelchair friendly to move around, all card access entry points are placed at shoulder height, and double doors have one door locked, so you have to squeeze through. The accessible room I booked had one handrail by the bath, but no railings for toilet. Staff wise... I asked if I could pay extra for a bottled water tea as their tap water is disgusting and I was refused.

Me and partner and 3 year old stayed here with our friends and there two children and had a brilliant stay. The place was extremely clean and staff very nice and helpful especially the people in the swimming area who helped ease the kids in to the pool and they were quite nervous. Breakfast was probably the best iv had in a hotel and most definitely that I have had in any moldren or Clayton to date. Rooms were spacious and had everything from iron fan kettle to toaster we could need. We will 100% be back.

I had booked the family dinner, bed and breakfast. I was under the impression that my 2 year old was included in that. But no we had to pay for his dinner. So I do think that needs to be made clearer when booking. Myself and another adult ordered burgers and they had came out a bit cold so had to send them back. The breakfast was grand. The best part about the stay was the kids pool the children absolutely loved it.

Just stayed here for two nights, will not be staying again. Its the noisiest holiday we have ever stayed at, people running up and down the corridors at 4am screaming, slamming doors, shouting and swearing. Two nights of rubbish sleep. Towels removed from our room, and room not cleaned, asked three times for them to be replaced, but still problems as the porter could not be found. Cleaning lady this morning in the corridor bashing and moaning to herself waking everyone up. The only positive thing I can say is the breakfast is very good, but that is it. Will not stay again, Premier Inns are far better and quieter.

Very good stay for our family break to Dublin. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Will be definitely staying at the Clayton again.

This is a hotel in a great spot and if you book early enough you could get a good price compared to hotels in the city centre. The staff are very good and friendly, the food was great and there is parking on the hotel grounds but I think you have to pay for that, if you are lucky you may get parking on the street outside the hotel which may be free. Liffey Valley shopping centre is less than 10 minutes walk with cinemas and restaurants also you can get public transport buses from outside the shopping centre. You can travel to the airport with the airport hopper bus that calls to the hotel several times a day.

I stayed here with my wife, toddler and 2 parent in laws. We wanted somewhere convenient to go to Dublin zoo and that was family friendly. While the hotel itself was good, good food, good rooms, there were some standout elements. The staff were outstanding. From the check in, to the accomodation staff, to the dining staff, each and every interaction felt warm and genuine and they went above and beyond. (The accomodation staff arranged our daughter's teddy bears on her bed to make it look like they were reading a book, she was so excited when she saw it) (The staff in the swimming pool were so kind to her and made sure she felt welcomed) (The bar staff were so accomodating) The swimming pool was fantastic, warm and very child friendly. Our toddler had a ball of a time. Also the location, was very good. Quite close to Liffey valley shopping centre, and very easy to get the no 26 bus to phoenix park. We plan to come back again next year.

2 stars for the pool facilities. Pray you don't have to spend much time at this hotel. No atmosphere or comfort on ground floor, bar is abysmal. The staff are terrible, unhelpful, and incompetent but this could be largely due to management policies. We were asked to wait until 5pm to check in. No exceptions. We Had to change in toilet facilities as not to miss a concert. Ended up checking in at 1am. They had the audacity to charge 10 euro per hour when asked for a later checkout time. 10 euro to park at the hotel also. This is after paying 300 euro for a room for one night. Avoid if possible.

I booked a double room in the hotel, paid for it, but instead they gave me a self-catering apartment within walking distance. Then, there was no coffee available at breakfast. Get the basics right, folks.

Hi, My stay in your hotel was only adequate. When we arrived we were met with a young man in the door way telling us not to trust the hotel, he had €300 stolen from his hotel room. I had nine people in the party including my teenage daughter, my dad who has Alzheimer's disease and two children, who all were petrified. I felt that the staff weren't doing anything to try and get the situation resolved. We then went for dinner and he was still in the lobby talking to more guests. Our bedrooms weren't overly clean the chairs and carpets need a wash and the smell of weed in the corridors was terrible. The staff who served us dinner were lovely and exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful. There were no tables clean when we arrived for breakfast and had to ask for one to be cleaned, then had to find another member of staff to ask for tea. While it was busy, it just seemed very unorganised.

Nice hotel if you are commuting, close to highway to connect. The rooms are classic, but clean and spacious enough. The location you can rate both good and bad. The highway is really close and can be heard. On the other hand, it makes it nice and easy travel to and from. The parking is underground, plenty of space.

Won't be staying here again. Extremely noisy hotel, with no atmosphere in bar or restaurant. The service in restaurant was very slow, with a relatively limited menu, although our waiter was lovely. The hotel was also cold. The window in the room was drafty and there was no bedside locker and light on one side of our bed. The breakfast setup was not great either not very relaxing with again limited choices.

  • 1/5 Brett N. 5 months ago on Google
The place is dirty, the rooms, the corridors, the lifts everywhere is dirty. The bathrooms are broken and the caught or won't fix them. There are insufficient numbers of staff. One was so overworked she broke down in tears. The complaints to managers are water of a ducks back. Their reply is that they will get someone to call, of course you never receive the call.

Stayed with our 2 kids and all was perfect. 2 minute drive to liffey valley shopping centre. Rooms were perfect, food was great, breakfast was excellent. Car parking was great. Plenty of room. Cost us 8 euro on top of our stay, not sure why. Barriers were open all the time so I wouldn't bother next time. All in all, a lovely hotel.

  • 2/5 Gavin D. 4 months ago on Google
The hotel experience didn't match the price. The hotel was undergoing renovation work which was fine, our room was 648. The main lift does not reach this. 2 x A4 pages explaining how to get to the other lift! Guests we going in circles wondering where to go, the signs made no sense. Then on return, same problem, guests were trying to figure out how to get from the ground floor back to reception. It was brought to the attention of the staff who were very unhelpful. Food was poor, service not much better.

Very short staff especially at breakfast time. All over the place. Staff looked very stressed and no one to tell them what to do. Did enjoy our stay. Room was lovely but put on 6 floor had no indeed where to go ended up walking up a corridor with plastic all the way down it. Very strange.Had a evening meal all good ,food lovely.

Just had lunch at the Clayton. Horrendous on every level !!!! The tea and soup were barely even hot and my chicken wrap was BURNT. How any chef would serve that on a plate is beyond me! Even if the wrap wasn't burnt, it barely passed as a chicken salad wrap, barely any fillings in it. The chicken was not freshly cooked it tasted stale. The service was awful and took ages for my burnt wrap and cold soup to come out! The tea was weak and tasted cheap. The prices were absolutely ridiculous(see photo!). A small pot of weak tea was 4 euro!. We were charged 8 euro for a slightly bigger pot of weak tea for two!!!!. This place has gone seriously downhill. It was loud and noisy and evidence of " long term guest residents" was everywhere !!!! Avoid !!!

We stayed in a family suite which was beautiful and refurbished since our Christmas stay last year. Only one lift was working for the duration of our three night stay which wasn’t great as the hotel was busy. Staff very friendly and breakfast amazing as always. Hotel was very accommodating by bringing in a fold up camp bed when the child was nervous sleeping in the other room alone. Thank you

  • 3/5 Gillian G. 3 months ago on Google New
The first night of our stay we had to queue for 30 minutes for breakfast at 9am and then 30 minutes for swimming pool, loads of adults showing up in pjs & bathrobes for breakfast which really lowered the standard, leaving our room later we saw said adults with plate fills of food heading to the rooms again lowering the standard. No one cleaned our room on on 2nd night. We’ve been staying at this hotel for the last 17 years since it opened and the standards have just slipped drastically, we have always loved it here but I think we’ll have to think about changing to a different hotel next time

Can't say anything bad about this hotel . The staff gives you 100°/. Of there attention they are always polite and helpful. The room was spotless and spacious. The restaurant staff were extremely helpful and the food was worth every bite we will be going back again .

Extremely friendly staff, who were really helpful with any concerns addressed. Managed to get upgraded- so can’t complain. Good breakfast. Overall a good hotel to choose from- especially if you want a good room that isn’t too expensive compared to Dublin prices.

Attended a lunchtime award ceremony here. The food was excellent, staff were fantastic and the whole event was strongly supported by both attributes of the staff! Great portion sizes, constant tea and coffee available along with water and mineral jugs being brought from tables. There was a perfect sized stage/platform in the room, superb presentation facilities and the sound was just right! Couldn't have asked for a better service. Will definitely return!

Helpful staff, food is very nice. The rooms are spacious and modern. Easy parking and close to all amenities The only thing I would change if I could, is the check in time of 4pm to 3pm. 3pm is usually the standard for most hotels

I complained multiple times about the cleaning staff not wearing masks... They did nothing and it worried me. In the middle of news about Omicron and tighter restrictions, you are expecting them to be extra careful. A real shame!!! The hotel is conveniently located at walking distance of the Liffey Valley shopping mall. Rooms are comfortable. Hotel staff quality has gone down. Restaurant is another place that needs improvement... The cook has no idea of what to do unless in the menu (and to be honest, food isn't great). To give an idea: I ordered a salad and he added pesto instead of dressing with the excuse that they didn't have a wide range of ingredients. Come on... vinegar, lemon or oil are available in every kitchen...! All in all, the hotel was way better a few years ago.

Staff are so important to a hotel and the service they provide and this hotel has great staff. Libby on reception is an great asset for this hotel and does everything to help, above and beyond to be honest and she was much appreciated, restaurant’s and bar staff were very attentive to customers also. Talking restaurant, the food was fantastic, hats off to the chefs. Rooms we’re fine, parking was good and plenty of bays, just wish it was free to customers as hotels I’ve stayed in in Ireland have been free to there guest, it’s just a nice added touch for us customers

It's a very nice hotel with friendly staff. The price is reasonable. The only downside is in warm weather the rooms can be very stuffy. At least that is my experience from the two times I have stayed in mid summer. Overall, I definitely recommend the hotel.

Utterly disappointed with our stay in this "4-star" hotel last weekend especially with the price that we paid for a one night stay. The main reason why we chose this hotel is because of their swimming pool/spa area, only to be informed after check-in that it's closed on that day. They could have informed us ahead of time especially that I had exchange of emails with them about an inquiry about early check-in. Very poor customer service especially the receptionist during check-out. maybe she's having a very bad day? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm giving a one-star rating only because the bed is comfortable but room maintenance needs to be improved.

I was in this hotel in September 2022. liked: excellent breakfasts, good and fast waiters bringing coffee, cozy rooms, cleanliness, friendly staff. The location is not bad - near the bus stop to the center, a shopping center with many cafes and shops. I will definitely come back here next time I visit Dublin.

The hotel was nice, the kids enjoyed it. Our room was spacious. Check in is at 4pm. We ordered room service for dinner and the food was delicious especially the curry and the wings. The chips portions are huge. Definitely ask for salt, the food has none. The tub is a bit on the small side. And there was a microwave!! Great as my autistic kids have a special diet.

Rooms are very warm and it is hard to control the heat. We have a sweet which is quite new and nice. Very happy they could accommodate us after out flight was cancelled late. We arrived after 9pm and they had food that was under heat lamps so wasn't mitichlin star but we were so hungry it was grand 😀. The bed is nice and firm but only 3 pillows for 2 people. It's all nice and clean and fit for purpose 👌

Our room was really dirty. The fridge had not been cleaned out and there was cheese from other guests left inside. Food wrappers (chocolate, crisps) were left inside the bedside locker drawer. Curtains and carpet were heavily stained and old nail varnish had hardened into the table. The bedside lights were sticky with dirt. On our first night the hallway stank of weed. We opened our window in the room but the smell seemed like it was coming through the vents. We had family staying in a room down the hall from us and they also complained about the smell. Ours cards stopped working a couple of times when trying to get into our room. We had to keep going back to reception to get a card that would open the door. The hotel was advertised as having a pool (and still advertises it) when we booked 6 months ago but the pool is not currently available. The hotel never made us aware of this.

Girls in reception very friendly stayed Sunday night few hairs on the pillow which was disappointing the food was good 👍 however can you tell the bar person when he drops down a fresh beer please remove the old glass just makes it look dirty, also felt sorry for the 3 woman who came in to order food and was told the kitchen was closed yet it was still within the opening hours of service. Breakfast was amazing so much choice 😋

Really disappointed this time. Room below ground level was absolutely freezing and it was beautiful weather outside, called about it twice and was told a heater would be sent down, it wasn't. No one answers phone at reception. Receptionists appeared bored and disinterested. Heard manager speak to them about it also, but didn't seem to improve matters. Breakfast delicious and breakfast staff were great. Restaurant meal was ok, nowhere near as good as previous stays. Would have previously told lots of people great hotel to stay at, esp with families. Sad that I wouldn't recommend now based on the quality overall of this stay.

We stayed here to be close to the airport before flying home. It was very nice, the reviews were mixed, but it was great, so much better than I expected. There was an online check in so we didn't have to wait in line for keys. Our family room had comfortable beds and was nice and clean. Plenty of room for four of us, and my kids aren't little. The baggage storage in the room was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Shuttle was convenient, though it's a good walk with all of your bags to and from the shuttle at the airport. Just be prepared that the shuttle spot is not close at the airport. We didn't mind the walk, but if my kids were smaller it would have been a lot to manage. Supermac's and gas station to gas up our rental car was next door, which was really convenient.

A huge thank you to the restaurant team that made my mums 84th birthday lunch so special. You treated us like royalty and it was wonderful. Thank you for the wonderful birthday surprise of the small cake and candle, and the smartly dressed gentleman who popped in to give Mum a box of VIP chocolates, that was a very nice touch whoever you were! Team of the month award to this lot Clayton Hotels! 👏 BTW the charcuterie board and taco fries were something else 😋 👌

At over 200 euro a night I would have expected better. I have stayed at other Clayton hotels and this one is not good value. Can't fault the staff they were excellent. However there was building works going on and the smell of the resin floors being laid gave me a headache 😫. When I asked about this they only shrugged their shoulders.

Lovely clean hotel, very quiet room as requested. Fab breakfast and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Enquired re cost of taxi and the highest end of the average given was way below the actual cost. This may need to be reviewed to allow guests a more clear estimate of the travel costs.

I used to love visiting this hotel. I stayed here for 14nights a couple of years ago and had a lovely time. Sadly, it has gone downhill rather quickly now. I stayed here for 4 nights this time around and the best part, apart from breakfast which is always good, was checking out!! My room was "cleaned" once and even then a towel disappeared and they never even emptied the bin. Filthy stained carpets, kids running amok at 11pm at night banging doors and room with paper thin walls, an absolute disaster!! I was opposite the car park and every night a van proceeded to park outside my window on yellow lines, blocking out what little view i had, so if you do happen to visit here, park wherever you like as nothing is enforced. Wouldn't stay here in its current state if they paid me to. Avoid at all costs!

I was honestly very apprehensive about this stay after a not great last stay and having read the recent reviews however we had an absolutely fantastic experience. Katie who checked us in was an absolute star. Our room was lovely. We had dinner in the restaurant which we all enjoyed. Lavinia was fantastic. Breakfast was great. A really lovely family break away. Thank you

Situated just of the M50 , plenty of buses to take to into city. Of course a 5 minute walk will take you to everything you need in Liffey valley shopping center and retail park where you will find ample eating spots in the food hall. If you want really great food why not eat in the hotels large spacious restaurant with lovely views .the staff are so friendly and helpful, polite and know how to make you feel special. Well worth visit ,gym , swimming on site as well. Cater for people with disabilities .great place for weddings, parties, conference or conventions .

Clean, comfortable rooms and a fair price for family room on a Sunday. Decent breakfast. Easy to park. Bus from town was about 20 mins in the evening. Close to drive to Phoenix Park to visit the zoo. Didn't try the pool or other services, but would return if the rate was decent. Didn't hang around the hotel as we were busy. It's more a business hotel, but perfect as a base for us just to sleep in, and significantly cheaper than other Dublin hotels for a family room for the night

Heating system wasn’t working during our stay. It was chilly whole night. We had called reception 3 times, every time they said they would fix it. Room facilities was not satisfactory. There were just a liquid soap and shampoo(as conditioner, as body wash etc.) Foods were delicious both in the restaurant and breakfast. Although, there were nothing around the hotel, there were too much noise and the voices from other rooms reached us as in the same room.

We did have a bit of an issue with our room but Martina sorted out everything very quickly and was so nice about it. She made our stay very enjoyable and because of her we will definitely be back. The food was amazing and the hotel is very conveniently located near Liffey Valley.

Nice hotel, very clean, beds very comfy, had a good night sleep. Breakfast is excellent and has plenty to choose from. The leisure centre is fab, but I have 2 complaints, 1. the floor in the male changing room leading to the pool is very dangerous. Wet mats should be put down. 2. Children should be under control with parent's. Kids running everywhere, and should not be allowed in the jacuzzi, not personal on the deck to control this. Otherwise great stay. Hotel close to shopping centre and not far from city centre. Pity no shuttle bus to city centre.

I stayed here on Thursday night as my son had a hospital appt early Friday morning. Room only as he was fasting so I can't comment on the breakfast. Room was spacious and warm and bed very comfortable. We were on the ground floor. Hotel was quiet. We had dinner in the restaurant on Thursday eve. Food was lovely. All staff that we met from reception, bar and restaurant were lovely. Effient and friendly. The pool was very busy. There were 2 rather wide lanes taken up for children swimming lessons and then 1 lane for adult swimmers and a section then for general people in the pool. A bit chaotic but enjoyable all the same. Will def stay here again

Overall the hotel is very nice but there was a few things that would make me think twice about booking it again. The room was generally clean but there was a bit of dust over the tv and a bit of rubbish in the bin which can be missed so that’s fine. The main disappointment was the pool which could have been nice but there was just way to many people which actually made it feel unsafe so we walked in and walked out. All the staff were great and helpful also if staying I would recommend the breakfast it is breakfast buffet with a full selection and great standard. Room 4/5 Staff 5/5 Food 4.5/5 Location 4/5

Staff were all fantastic, attentive, and friendly. The weekend was extremely busy. But a few matters let the hotel down. No milk in family suite for tea. Not enough towels in the suite for a family. Breakfast was too busy and on the second morning we were moved to the smaller restaurant where the same offering was not available....no fried egg, no cold cut meats, no olives, not the same pastries. This meant that we didn't not get the same offerings as others. Also, I was under the impression that the suite would have two double beds and not a double bed and pull out double bed. These are all matters that if improved upon would take the experience to a better level, but all in all, we found all staff to bee wonderful. I think it's simply a case of the hotel not being able to cater for such numbers in peak times, which it should.

We stayed on a Friday night just before Christmas to go to a show in Dublin. Upon check in we were told that we were being given one of the newly refurbished rooms which we were delighted about. Everything was fine until Saturday morning. We were woken at 8am by loud constant hammering on the floor above our room (it sounded as though Flooring was being laid). I phoned reception and was told they would ask them to stop and work shouldn't be carried out at that time. It stopped for about 40minutes and then started again. There was no way you could sleep with the noise or even relax. I have 2 young kids so it's rare that I get a lie on and would expect when paying to stay on a hotel not to be woken to loud hammering. That continued until checkout. When we were checking out I mentioned it to the receptionist that we were not happy. The receptionist stated that the whole floor above us was being refurbished; i explained that it was the room directly above our heads and that they should inform guests when staying that this was the case or keep the room directly below empty. Another disgruntled guest came over complaining so she took my number and said a manager would give me a call. A few days later we had yet to receive a call so I phoned reception and explained; again my number was taken and I was told a manager would call. A duty manager phoned me back and I explained and again was just told the floor was being refurbished but he acknowledged that work should not have been carried out at 8am on a Saturday morning. He said he would speak with the GM the following morning and call me back but I never got any call back from them. I was very disappointed with the handling of this situation and feel that if works are being carried out, the room below should either be left empty or it should be explained to guests and offered at a discounted rate.

We fully understand the challenge that having bus full of disgruntled passengers with cancelled flights must pose, but it was a bit frustrating to be told that the only food left was dry rice and pasta with the possibility of a few chips if we waited long enough. Breakfast was much better and the food was good quality, however it was very disappointing to find out the hotel had no sweetener at all for my diabetic fiance. Nevertheless Sharon was extremely apologetic and otherwise very accommodating, and should be commended for the customer service delivered.
