I
have
complicated
feelings
about
this
hostel.
It
was
clean,
and
a
nice
place
to
sleep,
but
that's
about
where
the
positives
stop
for
me.
First,
there
was
no
kitchen,
which
was
incredibly
inconvenient,
especially
because
the
bar/cafe
attached
to
the
hostel
is
fairly
expensive,
especially
for
those
traveling
on
a
budget.
The
rooms
and
ensuite
bathrooms
were
clean,
which
was
nice;
however,
Jacob's
Inn
has
pod
beds,
which
are
enclosed
and
curtained
off,
and
unfortunately,
they
do
get
incredibly
stuffy
at
night.
Reception
has
fans
available
to
use,
but
they
don't
do
much
to
cut
through
the
heat.
So,
when
staying
here,
I
recommend
you
pack
a
pair
of
shorts
to
sleep
in.
This
hostel
is
also
very
reliant
on
technology,
which
was
somewhat
unfortunate.
My
friend
and
I
had
to
download
two
different
apps
for
this
hostel
for
the
two
nights
we
stayed:
one
for
the
room
key,
and
one
for
the
laundry
service
(self-service,
pay
with
coins
or
through
an
app),
which
might
seem
like
it's
more
convenient,
but
it
was
more
of
a
nuisance
to
us.
They
do
offer
some
events,
like
pub
crawls,
live
music,
and
comedy
shows,
but
the
atmosphere
of
this
hostel
is
not
very
social.
It
is
very
geared
toward
digital
nomads
instead,
who
use
the
common
spaces
to
do
their
work.
It
didn't
feel
very
warm,
which
is
what
I
usually
look
for
in
a
hostel.
It
definitely
had
more
of
a
hotel
feel.
It
is
also
in
a
somewhat
dodgy
area
of
Dublin.
We
were
out
at
night
one
evening
and
we
both
felt
uneasy
walking
through
the
area.
Thankfully,
it's
not
too
far
of
a
walk
away
from
city
centre.
Personally,
I
don't
think
I'd
stay
at
this
hostel
again.
My
friend
and
I
had
better
experiences
at
Gardiner
House
and
Abigail's.
