Sept. 10 - 13, 2022 - The Hampton Hotel is top notch accommodation in Dublin, arranged by our Ireland Touring Bus Company! We found our room to be spacious, and comfortable. Glad they had an electrical adapter, for our U. S. made phones & computers! ( Remember your adapter when visiting Europe!) There’s a few amenities at the Hampton Hotel . . . *Breakfasts & lunches service available *Lounge area and outside tables *Party Room ( weddings, birthdays) *Restaurant in hotel *Walking distance to Restaurants We felt very safe in this area of Dublin! Our favorite was walking to St. Stephen’s public park & gardens, only 1.5 miles or several kilometers! (The metric system is easy to learn) You might have a small umbrella with you, a little rain shouldn’t prevent you from exploring Dublin! We enjoyed Dublin immensely! *Guinness Tour *St. Stephen’s Public Park *The Little Museum of Dublin *Bruxell’s Cafe Bar *Christ Church Cathedral *Bewley’s Cafe *Shopping on Grafton Street Suggestion/Concern . . . I wish I found my photo of the tub/shower wall being a large step up! When wet, it’s a long step down to bathroom floor? Very dangerous for older folks who may have balance issues. Not happy, wondering if some accommodation is needed to move in & out of the tub/shower safely? I rate the Hampton Hotel a strong 4.5 , with the tub/shower issue if rectified, would upgrade to 5.0 !

Had a nice stay overall. Pros: Mattress was nice, air conditioning worked, heating system was also good, big enough room and bathroom. Cons: Not a bad hotel. Though it seems fairly old and outdated. Floor was creaky, lights were poor and flickering at times, the TV was in a good location but it wasn’t even HD (It was HD Ready 720p).

Had a pleasant stay here recently. The room is surprisingly big, clean and cosy, spacious bathroom with two sinks, bath and rain shower. Quiet. Friendly staff. Food is a bit overpriced though.

We spent two nights at the Hampton Hotel in one of the suites. The decor is eclectic and the room was comfortable and large. (But you can tell the building is old- cracks in the wall and uneven floors) .The bathroom was also big and probably the best part of the suite. The hotel is quite far from the city center and I don't think we saw anyone but the front desk person the whole stay. Bus stop right beside the hotel was convenient.

Rooms are spacious with a great bed. Very good sleep quality. Staff are excellent. Bar food has nice choices and cooked to perfection. Nice outside seating area if weather permits but they have heaters also. Good value compared to other hotels of a similar rating in the area

Very spacious rooms, with shower and bathtub, very good breakfast, excellent treatment from the staff at breakfast, a ten. The only downside is the carpet leading to the rooms in the basement smelled terribly of damp.

We paid around 600 euros for two nights. Got a huge room. But unfortunately not clean. For this price I demand a clean room. Attention allergy sufferers... Carpets everywhere. At one point in our room this smelled like k*t. Then there was no dusting... And don't even get me started on the couch. In the bathroom I took a 'fresh' towel, which didn't smell fresh at all. The only reason why I didn't give it one star is the really friendly staff. But because of the building, I definitely won't spend another night here.

Could not recommend this beautiful hotel highly enough. 6 Georgian houses tastefully restored into a modern comfortable haven. Ample free onsite residents parking and clean spacious and well equipped rooms. Staff genuinely warm, welcoming and eager to provide an excellent customer experience. We will definitely stay again.

Booked for 1 night. Free residents parking which us a bonus as other hotels charge extra. Nice spacious room, although a bit on cold side. Very spacious bathroom. Very musty, damp smell around hallway. No view from our room as it backs onto carpark so windows are frosted. Bed comfortable. Easy to get into city centre as buses Very close. But its a lovely walk to town (about 25 mins walk). Not a bad hotel, although decor in rooms a bit odd.

Had lunch there, and felt unwelcome as I was left standing at the door for ages before anyone came to scan my covid cert and let me in. The Bistro felt cold and cheerless, sort of like a pub which has decided to do a bit of food. We rang before going and was told they were "Gluten friendly". I should have asked about that, because it meant nothing. If the food wasn't free of gluten naturally, like a salad, they had no gluten free alternatives, not even a slice of GF bread to go with the soup. I had asked if there was a gluten-free menu and was handed a vegan menu. It wasn't busy but it seemed hard to get the attention of the staff. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Under seasoned soup, hot chips but tepid fish, that sort of thing. The wheelchair toilet had no toilet paper, and a stiff door that I could not manage on crutches. I can't see myself going back.

Just love Saturday nights in the Hampton lounge, dancing the night away to some top class bands, the Moonrockers or Gavin Povey. Staff are great, facilities always spotless

Perfect for us as we needed two days for jet lag and getting into Ireland. Great bar and good bar food. Rooms a little worn but ok for the rate

A boutique style hotel located 30 mins walk from the centre of Dublin but on a regular bus route. It is obvious that some thought has gone in to the decoration and facilities in the rooms. The hotel has a restaurant and bar and a large open car park to the rear, but no particular facilities for motorbikes, although there is a gate to the car park, I am not sure it was ever closed, or if there is CCTV. There is a regular bus service from just outside of the hotel, into the city. Our double room was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated, with a modern bathroom, containing a powerful shower, bath and twin sinks. Tea and coffee was provided, as was bottled water. The wifi was free and there was a good wifi signal, capable of supporting streaming, VoIP calls etc. There are plenty of USB style sockets, a large TV, iron and hairdryer. A special comment about how good the lighting was, particularly in the bathroom (and mirrors). The room also had a small patio area with seating.

Enjoyed outdoor dining here with a friend today. Main course was good, dessert delicious. Staff very polite, pleasant, competent and professional. I would recommend a visit here to anyone. Have enjoyed indoor dining and shows pre- Covid

Quick review on the Bar & Restaurant, this was probably the best chowder I've ever had. You can easily have that as a main course, super fishy and tasty.

Arrived in the public bar at 11.30am. I was courtesly informed by a member of staff that there was no food until 12 noon! Not even sandwiches! Not acceptable for a hotel on a public thoroughfare with passing trade. Very disappointing! Coffees were good though.

There is so much I could tell you about this amazing hotel, not only are the rooms 5 star and food out of this world the most amazing feature of this hotel is the staff. I recently got married in this amazing hotel and the the absolute pleasure of meeting Andrew Mockler the Event Co- Ordinator. When I say this man was my night in shining armour I'm not exaggerating. He took all the stress and hassle out of organizing a wedding and made it easy, fun and effortless. The staff when we stayed where amazing from, bar staff, receptionist, cleaners, porters where outstanding, professional and courteous. You gave myself, my husband and my family and dream day and I will be forever grateful
