We paid 145 euros for a room only to be kept awake by blaring music from the bar until 2:30am. The room is super hot and the only way to cool it down is to open the window, making the music even louder. I’ve been traveling around Europe for 7 weeks now and have been getting better nights sleep in hostels. It’s really unfortunate because the rooms are pretty nice, but I would never stay here again.

Great breakfast each day, plenty to cater for all tastes tea ,coffee, toast plentyful. Service by colleagues first class could not do enough for you. Our room was a little dated could do with a makeover but maid service and cleaning daily and to a good standard towels changed daily tea coffee replenished each day. A little Loud in early hours from drunk guests. But overall, it's a nice place .

Had a great stay here. It's by no means the most luxurious place I've ever been and certainly has slightly dated decor, but it's cheap and cheerful. Reasonable price for a stay in Dublin. Main thing is it's clean and the rooms are big enough. Also, the breakfast is pretty great!

Excellent venue, location etc. Staff very helpful, great breakfast selection. Only issue would be noisy late at night, maybe a few polite notices strategically located to remind other guests to respect those already tucked up in bed to keep the noise to a minimum. Other than that a great stay.

Very bad experience! The hotel is supposed to be a good one if we consider the 3 stars and especially the very expensive price for a room. But it turns out that there is a night club downstairs (no information about that when we made the reservation of course). Very noisy from 10pm to at least 3am, and I mean VERY noisy if you have a room on the street. I would definitely not recommend this place. They probably prefer having a lot of people at their club than happy customers in the hotel.

While the room was fine and the service good, the hotel is located on a street with a number of nightclubs (including in the hotel itself). I didn't hear any noise from the hotel's own nightclub. But, because the room window was not double-glazed, I could hear the noise from revellers on the street until well after 3 in the morning. I was offered a very limited menu in the bar/restaurant. The main course consisted mostly of burger dishes!

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This website will compare countless booking web sites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't be let down. Location is amazing - safe and walking distance to almost anything without being loud and crowded. The service was friendly and easy to access. The rooms are a bit old but for the price it's spot on. We enjoyed our stay.

The reason it's a one star As a coach driver we need our rest so to put on the top floor is normally a godsend.....apart from here....when it rained.....it was loud and noisy and you just couldn't get back to sleep And then when the nightclub kicked out.....again a total racket for over a 2hours which at 0230 is not the best. Will be asking for a different hotel if ever booked in to here again with a group On a plus side the bar was good for the football and food

We had 2 rooms here. The beds were amazing and a great location. Our flight was cancelled and they let us keep warm and charge our phone in the lounge. Thank you We were concerned about the reviews mentioning noise but we didn't hear hardly any . The only complaint was the windows in one of our rooms were poorly fitted and the curtains moved because of the wind.

The location is very convenient to the tram and the Dublin Express airport bus. Up and away some of the best service I’ve ever gotten! My father got quite sick this trip to Ireland. Sandy helped us check-in early so we could easily move dad there from the previous night’s hotel. JR at the desk definitely went above and beyond! He helped me search for clinics that were nearby, drew maps to them, helped us organize our travel the next day, and was gracious and kind when I managed to also lock myself out of my room! Top notch! Was wonderful to find such help during a difficult time! Will definitely stay here next time we’re in Dublin!

The staff at this hotel deserve a mention. From the receptionist, Alicia, to the waiter, Toma, to each and every member of staff we encountered were so helpful, pleasant and professional that we will definitely return.. The room was spotlessly clean, well equipped and quiet (we were at the back of the hotel). We had lunch in the restaurant the Thai Curry was really tasty tasty, not too hot but very flavoursome. The hotel itself was decorated beautifully for Christmas and really put us all in the festive spirit. So close to everything in the city, very walkable and, although we didn't need to use it, there's a Luas stop outside. One stop brings to to the beautiful St. Stephen's Green.

ASTOUNDING VALUE FOR MONEY I spent two weeks at this hotel with two friends when we first moved to Dublin and had no house. We stayed there while working and looking for a house and everything about it exceeded expectations: room and bathroom were very spacious and fitted with everything we could possibly need incl kettle, iron&board, hairdryer, free WiFi and a limitless supply of tea&coffee. Both the reception and cleaning staff were super nice and helpful and went above and beyond to meet all of our requests. We had to extend our stay three times as we kept having no luck with houses and they always tried their best to let us stay in the same room and even get us a discount. When we finally found a house to move into they even gave us a complete refund on the nights we had booked but didn't need anymore. HONORABLE MENTIONS: Magda from reception was incredibly helpful and nice, to the point I was almost sorry to leave the hotel when we finally checked out. She made me feel at home. Only negative thing I have to report (which is apparently common in Ireland so it might not be the hotel's fault, but still) the bathroom lacked a toilet brush. All in all, the sheer level of service provided for the price is insane and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who asked me. Five stars.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Harcourt Hotel. Check-in was a breeze, with helpful staff explaining different things & providing any extras we wanted. Our room was spacious, clean and very well maintained. My only issue for that would be the tv, which requires casting from a phone or laptop and didn't seem to have any channels tuned in? Didn't stop us from enjoying a movie though! The location is decent too, with the tram running regularly outside and if you opt to walk from the bus station etc it's not too far either. There are plenty of food options nearby if you're not keen on using the hotel restaurant. Breakfast can be provided as a paid extra and check-out is a generous 12 noon. Wouldn't hesitate to come back here again!

The bed and the location are fine. The first night the radiator in the room did not work, the second night it did. The USB plugs did not work and they wanted to sell us a transformer, so we had to charge our cell phones on the TV, but they take away the signal at night and it turns itself off. Since Thursday there is party downstairs and you can hear it in the rooms. I do not recommend it.

  • 1/5 Anna M. 1 year ago on Google
stayed in, you can hear everything, people staying in the other rooms, people walking in the staircase, drunk people out on the street until early in the morning. The walls and windows are paper thin. There are no electrical outlets near the bed so you cannot charge your phone near the bed at night. This hotel still thinks that having carpet floors is a great feature. No idea how they clean it properly. It’s old and dated and worn out. When you shower the water all of a sudden stops working. Breakfast was awful if you do not eat meat. Almost nothing that is not containing meat or other animal products. The staff do not care about your feedback and will not try to make your stay anymore pleasant. My recommendation is to choose another hotel. Unless you don’t mind disappointments, because then this hotel is the perfect fit for you.

It's was a great stay. Thanks to all the staff they were really friendly from the people in the bar to the cleaners. I would like to give a shout out to the Lady that greeted us at reception on Monday afternoon at around 4pm, sorry didn't catch your name but wanted to say thanks for being so welcoming, giving us a tour of the hotel and being overall very friendly!! Honestly the only think l'd change is would personally like the showers slightly bigger

The reviews from 10+ years ago complaining about the noise are still 100% accurate. You can hear everything coming from the rooms above you, beneath you, and beside you. You'll be kept awake by the music from the bar if you're on the back of the building, and you'll hear traffic or construction if you're on the front side. The only measure taken to help with noise is the pair of earplugs that have been provided, which do not help much. The room is definitely outdated and small. The built-in USB plugs that are inconveniently placed on the far side of the room didn't work. The bathroom was tiny, cramped, and had loose floor tiles. The hot water in the shower was inconsistent and fluctuated between lukewarm and scalding. The staff was helpful and courteous. They were one of the two redeeming qualities of the hotel. The other was location; the hotel is reasonably close to quite a few historic sites.

The hotel is a lovely place, friendly and has helpful staff. Great location too but it would be common decency to tell your guests before they book about the nightclub thumping until two at night.

  • 2/5 Ryan P. 4 months ago on Google
Yeah what can you say, it’s astoundingly loud and noisy if you end up on the first floor from the converging sounds of two bars/nightclubs. Ear plugs won’t help with the bass. Probably my fault for not reading reviews but I think it’s fair to dock the hotel as it’s not like this is a cheap spot or something. You could do better in Dublin.

Bare bones hotel in a fantastic location. Rooms here are a little tired and in need of a refresh. Eg toilet flush made the counter top 'pop' up each time, socket in the room didn't work. The layout is a little confusing in terms of how to get to your room. Despite this staff were friendly and helpful and made the difference. Price was reasonable for the location.

i was there in july 23. the hotel is ok, but nothing special. good located for public transport. also if you wanna go out for something to eat or dring you find a lot around the corner. the room was spacious, but in the basement and it smells... i would say price-performance - inadvisable!

Great location, great service, spacey rooms, (have some issues with the bathroom sink) offers kettle, coffee, tea, towels, shampoo, iron with ironing board, located near the tramway, 30min by walk to the centre, has an amazing restaurant/pub with a different thematic. Recommended

Hotel in great position, easy walk to Temple Bar and Dublin city. Parking can be difficult, Sunday street parking is free but charges from 7 am to 7 pm other days. Rooms ok but very noisy. Trams pass by front door so rooms at front are noisy from traffic and people. Air conditioning in room also noisy, got little sleep. Breakfast buffet very good and restaurant next door is excellent. Great food and service. Not part of hotel and closed Sundays.

The BBQ party at Harcourt Hotel was an absolute delight! The food was incredibly yummy, and the vibrant atmosphere added to the festivities. It was the perfect choice for our introduction party, as we couldn't have imagined a better place to gather, enjoy delicious food, and celebrate with new joiners.

My partner and I stayed here recently. It was in a great location. Bedroom looked nice with a beautiful bathroom. However, found some minor issues which did affect us slightly. We arrived back to our hotel relatively early and we did not realise that this was attached to a nightclub. Obviously it may have been our mistake but I wish this was made more obvious. I think there was a private function and there was music until 2am. Our room was located beside the event. The noise outside drowned out the sound of the television. Additionally, there were bathroom pipes making flushing sounds which were above and beside us which was also quite disruptive and odd. We were fortunate that this was a short term stay but would not recommend for long term.

Oh my god! What a gem of a place. Apart from the location being bang on, luas stops outside it, the staff were amazing. Literally. We were made feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. It's a 3-star hotel but believe you me, we got five star treatment. The decor in the rooms we stayed in was a little bit dated but it had everything that we needed. the beds were comfortable and the room itself was spotless. It is excellent value for money. the breakfast was plentiful and varied and our evening meal was absolutely delicious. This place ticked all the boxes. I just cannot talk up enough about this hotel.

Stayed recently for 2 nights. Lovely room with good shower, nice little touches like shampoo and shower gel. Comfortable bed. . All staff so helpful, polite and friendly. Great value in a great location.

The radiator in the room was living its own life, bathroom was so small that you literally have to open the door to be able to move, and breakfast very expensive ( neatly 15) for the quality of food served. Coffee was like water. Otherwise clean and ok.

Had a nasty stain on one of the pillows. But otherwise recpetionist was lovely and made check in really easy. Facilities are what you would expect for a 3 star hotel. Just cleanliness.

  • 4/5 Ellen H. 2 years ago on Google
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was basic but adequate for our needs. There were some suspect stains on the walls. It was odd we had to book a slot for breakfast and had to walk 5 mins down the road to another hotel for it. The staff there were not as helpful and in fact slightly rude. The Luas tram stop was outside the hotel and the city centre accessed in 10 mins or less. I would stay here again.

  • 5/5 James K. 2 years ago on Google
Great hotel. Location couldn't be better as Luas stop is 30 secs away so easy access to Dundrum or city centre. Overall pleasure to be guests at that hotel.

Good hotel, friendly staff. Great price/quality wise. The restaurant downstairs is also very good. Can especially recommend the pizza's.

  • 1/5 Will C. 2 years ago on Google
Don’t bother. Extremely rude at reception and made fun of our friend’s accent. Hassled us non-stop from arrival to when we left about a misunderstanding on their end about the booking. Much better places around the area with less hassle.

  • 2/5 James C. 2 years ago on Google
Room spacious and clean. We were alarmed at discovery of stains on the linen the day after though. That was rectified after speaking to reception. The rooms facing the front have single glazing and the noise is relentless throughout the night from trams, party animals and street sweepers. There is no rest to be had. You might as well park the beds in the centre of tramway

Given the prices charged, the hotel is in need of renovation but the staff are stellar. Location is awesome. The rooms lack ventilation on the upper floor where I was and the decor is in need of updating/replacing. Could do with renovation also. That said, the staff make up for the "weathered" condition of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. I would stay again.

Beware!!!! This hotel sits directly on top of a nightclub. No matter what part of the hotel your room is on you will hear loud music until 3 am. Rooms and interior are dated. Hotel keys often dont work. Staff is pleasant and helpful. You can do a lot better practically anywhere else.

  • 2/5 Margaret B. 2 months ago on Google • 2 reviews New
We stayed here for 2 nights the 1st night noisy from the nightclub below. The 2nd night our room was not cleaned bed not made no fresh towels although someone had been in the room and closed the curtains. We let the night staff know we were very disappointed 😒 they were very apologetic and gave us fresh towels they left a message for the morning staff who never mentioned anything when we were checking out until I asked him if he had seen the message, his reply was sorry we felt he was not interested. We travel often and this is the first time we have had this problem.
