DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SLEEP!!! There is a club inside the hotel at the ground floor and this affects all the rooms. I was on the 3rd floor and it was like I was down in the club. This went on until 4am!! Complimentary Earplugs did not do much work either and a bit uncomfortable to sleep with. Weather was hot so could not close the window as there is no air-con. No fan either. Room was lovely though and clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast was OK, nothing special.

The location of the hotel is perfect but the rest us horrible. We stayed at weekends and it was not possible to sleep because of the noise from the night clubs. I think the next door building is belong to the hotel and at night used as a night club. The noise started in the evening and continued till morning. On Friday night towatds morning also fire alarm went on 5 times. I guess someone was drunk and just pressing for fun. The rooms also very old and when you walk floorboards, doors..makes noise. No insulation on the walls and talks from next-door audible. The shower was not good at all too. Maybe weekdays are different than weekends but I definitely not recommend anyone for weekends

Pretty And clean hotel in a good location with comfy beds. However the noise from the nightclub is a lot even with the supplied ear plugs. Also the shower is so tiny you can’t bend over and the doors don’t really stay closed. Only shower/hair gel supplied. No washcloths which may be usual in Ireland but not sure

Reception staff rude, put phone down on us before conversation had ended when asking for directions.phoned 5 times in two hours to ask for a fan. Told porter would bring it up to us. Then went to ask receptionist and was told they had no fans! Language barrier with the staff. Club very loud and even though it was Sunday almost 4am when it closed! Room floor vibrates with noise from the club. Ear plugs provided do not help. Club staff very rude, push you out of their way all of the time! Some will serve half pints others wont. Didn’t know what Brandy was?? Ordered room service. Breakfast came and was not what we ordered! Shame because the room was large and very clean. Door staff were the most helpful of the team and obviously house keeping are exceptional, it’s spotless.

Hotel is located in the nightclub district and has a nightclub in it. I didn't notice the noise too much until the night club let out at 2am but the noise died out quickly. No air conditioning in the rooms so we kept the windows open at night but still got hot in the room. Rooms were clean and big. Public transit right outside.

Though not the fanciest we stayed for 3 nights. If you’re a light sleeper noise is a factor. The clubs start around 8pm and go until 2am. The rooms are old, the floorboards creak, the wind gets in through the cracks and the walls are thin. For breakfast there is a bar with instant coffee, tea and croissants. The location is perfect in my opinion. If you are okay with the bare necessities this is a decent choice. The bar food selection was reasonably priced and perfect in the late evening.

The only good thing I have to say about this place is the location. I was a able to walk to shopping areas and food. The rooms sizes are incredibly small with only one power outlet. There was crusted food on one of the beds when we arrived. Rooms were stuffy throughout the day even with windows open. Wasn’t able to get hot water for half of my stay and the other half I could not get the water to go cooler. The breakfast was not the most enjoyable. Wifi was okay. Incredibly noisy all night until about 4am every day. The people working at the front desk were an able to give directions or any information about the surrounding area.

I booked rooms here for a birthday celebration along with a table for the night in Diceys Garden. The rooms can be a bit unusual but we're fine for my purpose. Ashley, Amy and the girls at the desk were all great. Food and drinks were cheap and security were fine, perhaps as we were guests in the hotel. Breakfast staff were a bit grumpy but had a good experience overall. I have read lot's of reviews on here about noise. This is Harcourt St which is where you come to party not for a restful night.

Read some bad reviews. Stayed there as everywhere else was overpriced. Was pleasantly surprised staff very good. Room was adequate. Breakfast nicely cooked and served. Yes it was noisy from disco but used earplugs didn't here a thing. Would stay again

I was a little nervous after reading other reviews, however, it was brilliant! We stayed in room 111 on Saturday night. Yes, the nightclub was open and yes, there were lots of security staff around taking the welfare of the clubbers very seriously, however, there was very little noise in our room. And we were on the first floor! From a hotel perspective, the staff were lovely and very friendly. Our room was very grand with pillars and a fireplace in it. Everything was extremely clean, although a little tired on the decor front. And we had an excellent full Irish breakfast with continental buffet included within the room price. The hotel is in a great position for going out as it is within easy walking distance of Grafton Street and Temple Bar. Thank you for a great stay!

Hope you like the vibrations and noise of loud club music well past midnight, not to mention the thick smell of alcohol (and lots of dust) in your room. Front desk man looks angry. Did not feel even a hint of “hospitality.” Stay here for a night if you must, but I definitely do not recommend long stays.

Such a good place, but be careful when booking the accomodation. They could charge you the extra pre-authorization price (which is actually really similar to the booking price) and they tell you you're gonna receive the refund 3 days later. You're not... at least that's what happened to me. Make sure you talk things clear with the receptionist and ensure you're receiving your money back. Except of that, it's overall a good place.

Vibrating room from noise. Other guests dialing your phone at 4am "just a prank bro." Multiple fire alarm false instances across multiple nights. Dreadful food. Hot water takes 5 minutes to start running warm. No control over heating or cooling the room. You won't sleep, you won't enjoy, you will not be comfortable. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

This is a rundown hotel but in a good position for a visit to the city. Furniture and chairs are scratched and damaged but all the stuff is working. There's a club nearby and the noise is terrible during the night - this is the first hotel where I found earplugs available with the room. I had no problem sleeping after putting them on. Service and cleanliness are OK. Wi-Fi in my experience was not! not available most of the time. I think this is a serious shortage.

We stayed overnight because we were going to a party. There is no ventilation in the room apart from the window. However, on a busy street beside copper face Jack's and Diceys, there is a lot of street noise. The hotel does provide ear plugs, but on a warm night, even with ear plugs it doesn't cancel out noise. The bathroom has no extractor, so having showers meant it warmed up the room. Beds and room were clean and tidy though We knew breakfast was coffee, scones, croissants, juice, when we got there at 10am croissants were gone and not refilled, had to ask for orange juice to be refilled and only instant coffee. Not a place I'd recommend for the price we paid

This hotel is a complete joke. The third-party site we booked it through made no mention of the night club in the garden or the obscene noise, so I didn't realize it until the day before when I checked Google reviews. As bad as some reviews say the noise is, it was still FAR WORSE than we thought it could be. I figured from the reviews that it was a loud neighboring club, BUT IT'S IN THE HOTEL!! The owners clearly only care about running a club, which is fine, but they have no business renting out these rooms to anyone. Despite very warm weather during our trip, the hotel had the heat turned up high, so the room was about 85 degrees. This required us to open the window, making the noise from the club even worse. We asked the front desk to turn the heat off/down, but they told us they can't control it (???).

Surreal. Worst hotel experience in my entire life. The sound of the club downstairs fills the room and makes the bed vibrate all night long (even being in the last floor as we were). Drunk guys screaming along the corridor at all times. The fire alarm was triggered in the middle of the night in the whole building. Paying 120€ for a night here feels way beyond a scam, simply surreal.

Do not stay here. This was out of control. Rooms were over 80 degrees, heat turned on, no AC and you could only open the window a crack. We decided to keep it open despite the noise and just accepted we wouldn’t be getting any sleep. Management laughed and offered no solutions when I asked for a fan. This place is not interested in being a hotel, they are interested in running a club.

Contrary to what everyone said, it was an “okay” experience. Before checking-in, I could already tell it’s gonna be a nightmare in the evening since the club is literally next to the hotel. I was surprised my husband and I were able to sleep “well”. If you’re a light sleeper, this is not the hotel for you. Considering the price we paid, it was reasonable.

Stayed her last weekend. I booked through their own website and got a double room which cost €150. This was good because everywhere else was looking for over €200 so I was happy. The room was very spacious and had everything you needed. We where on the first floor which was ok for us because we were drinking in the club so did not go up to the room until the music stopped. All around a good stay and suitable for couples and people that like to stay out late.

We had a great five day stay. Really enjoyed the period decor and vibe, nicely eclectic. Large comfortable bed and spacious room. Music was barely audible even in warm weather with windows open. Definite activity on the street when the clubs let out but dies down pretty quickly. This seems to be just about everywhere in Dublin. Staff was attentive and courteous.

I stayed one night mid week in this hotel, For me this hotel is a three star and the only reason its getting three is because of the staff, When i arrived at the hotel the doors where locked, I attempted to ring the hotel through diffrent extensions at least 8-9 times, I had to wait outsode the door untill finaly a staff member was letting out a contractor, The staff member extremley polite and well manared invited me in and asked me to take a seat. The receptionist arrived a short time after and quickly explaned that the staff where in a re training day and she appologised for the delay, and checked me in straight away. During my check in What appeared to be a man of some managerieal posistion came to reception and spoke with the receptionist as if i didnt matter, While what he said to the receptionist was polite and well mannered it was not ment that way, For me it was more of a Why are you at reception you should be at training this guy could wait, He then proceeded to walk past me and hang around in reception untill i was checked in. I have two issues with this, First if your staff training was extremly important why didnt managment man the desk at reception or even schedual an extra staff member to take the desk during training and second it made me feel extremley unwelcome. The room was very big, comfortable bed, clean minus the 1950s decorating. The bathroom was small and the shower was also from the 1950s, I had a great sleep and an awkward shower, I could complain about the noise but i knew what i bas booking when i made the reservation plus they supply earplugs in the bathrooms :). The security where polite and accomidating as i was coming and going for smokes throuout my stay with the night club in full swing. Overall the i would not stay here again do to the way i was made feel at the time of check in, But pick all these staff up and move them to a diffrent hotel and i would honeslty always stay there.

This place was horrible. You couldn't pay me to stay there again. I heard about the music being loud on the back side of the hotel so when I got a front-facing room, I didnt think it would be that bad. Except all I heard was loud people screaming all night outside the club. Hairdryer was from 1920 and another country, didn't do a damn thing to dry. Room was cramped and cold. I'm shocked there wasn't bed bugs (tho they would have been frozen)

The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were gorgeous. It was an older building with some quirks but very nice. Bed was a bit stiff but I'm extremely picky about that. There is a night club out back so if you aren't too stuck up to have a little fun you will enjoy that. It's noisy but ear plugs come with the room. The continental breakfast was incredible. It is close to several great restaurants and local pubs. There are also plenty of sites nearby and traveling by foot everywhere was easy. I would absolutely stay again.

The reviews about the noise were definitely accurate. It’s extremely loud until about 5 am. It’s a great central location to Guinness and awesome local pubs. The staff was okay nothing to rave about. The room however was way to small for two adults with three bags definitely felt cramped. They also do housekeeping at 8 am so if you’re out from a night of partying it can be inconvenient to be woken up like that. Overall wasn’t terrible but I don’t think I’d stay here again.

In March 2020 I actually wanted to visit Dublin but because of the pandemic my flights and the stay at Russel Court hotel had been canceled. During booking it had been stated that I would get the money payed back fully. But till now (nearly one year later) even after dozens of phone calls and mails I never heard any answer from the hotel nor received my money back! I believe the hotel would have been good but it is disappointing that the hotel is ignoring the guests right of receiving a cash refund in case of cancellation.

Fine location, everything else was nightmare. Room was super old, bathroom had zero water pressure. No cooling in the rooms. There is a night club in the building (or super nearby) that plays heavy bass all throughout the night. There were multiple fights in the street. Our first night there we were woken up TWICE by the fire alarm. Once at 12:30, once at 3:00 am. Absolutely avoid this place. We will be requesting a refund.
