This Hotel provides an excellent service for Dublin Airport Parking if you want to park your car while on vacation. It is reasonable price and very easy to access and regular transfers to the Dublin Airport. It is very safe to park your car there and it is secured 24/7. From entry to exit the process was seamless. Although it has number plate recognition for entry to car park it sometimes does not work. Don't panic or worry if you have to press the button to take a ticket. Just take a ticket if the barrier does not open park your car, keep the ticket and then validate it on return from your vacation. Go to reception desk on Hotel Concourse to have your ticket validated. Staff very friendly and welcoming. I have not stayed in this overnight but from first impression it looks really nice. I used this hotel for parking however I will certainly be booking this hotel when the need may arise in the future.

The rooms are a decent size and there's a shuttle bus that run 24 hours. Which is what we needed as we had an early flight. When we first arrived though we waited almost an hour at the airport for a shuttle. We ask at check-in how long the shuttle runs and it supposed to be every 25mins. They have a great lunch/dinner menu. I wish the small cafe would open later cause there is nothing in the area too grab a small bite when it's after 10. And I tried ordering just eat and no one would deliver to the hotel. Room clean up was so so when we asked for our room to be cleaned up when we put the card on the door. When we came back still had trash in our bin and my tea cup was never taken away when I had used it. The bed was just quickly made and a couple extra towels were given. In order to get into the city you have to take the shuttle to the airport then a couch that does all round trips into Dublin city center for 12euros. A taxi is in-between 20-30euros. Overall a great stay and convenient for my family.

Best airport hotel. Great restaurant, just have cash for tip, they couldn't add it to the bill which was sad. Thai red curry is best! Free shuttle, 15 minute drive, to airport every 20 minutes. Parking, just ask them to validate ticket or else you'll pay. Very quiet, can't even hear the planes.

Overall, a great experience. Good value for the money spent. Property was clean and well-appointed. The only negative feedback I can provide is that there was noise from the room next door, though I know it's not management's fault. Check-in and check-out were very efficient. I used the kiosk for both. The restaurant was good. Service was decent, but my server could have been a little more knowledgeable. I think it might just be that I have extremely high standards. The airport shuttle is a valuable part of the experience here and I appreciated that. If I am in Dublin in the future, I would consider staying again.

I would like to congratulate all the staff for doing an amazing job pulling everything together so gracefully during storm and flight cancelations. All levels of staff were doing their part to make sure the huge influx of weary guest were professionally cared for and fed. Everything was orderly. Someone even got on a computer to print signs to help direct everyone. Special recognition to the kitchen/food service staff. The location was close to the airport. Frequent shuttle bus times were very convenient. The room itself was great. My only note would be that the sink enamel was cracked/peeled. Other than that, the room and hotel were modern and extremely comfortable.

Super fancy, I adore the scenery of the Inner view and outer view. The service is great. The hotel is really close and has its own shuttle to it. The rooms are big and clean. Superb

Everything was great! The staff were super friendly. The only issues we had was that there were no air conditioners in the rooms or just our room. Our room smelled like cigarettes. Other then that everything was great. The rooms are spacious and there’s an option for late checkout up to 3pm for an extra charge of 10 euros an hr after checkout time.

Beautiful hotel! Staff was wonderful. We arrived late on a day that the hotel was very busy, and we were upgraded to a suite! Very nice. Enjoyed drinks in the lobby, nice relaxing atmosphere, breakfast was very nice. Convenient shuttle service to airport. The only thing that could have been better was the air conditioning. A fan in the room was a plus, but would have liked it to be a little cooler for sleeping. Will definitely stay at the Clayton again!

This isn't a super fancy hotel, but for the price it's really quite nice. The service was fantastic. The rooms clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable, and they easily and promptly accommodated my request for an extra 3 pillows. If you're wanting to head into Dublin you will need your own car or to take a taxi.

Stayed at the Clayton hotel for fifteen days while attending a course in Dublin and it was nice all the time. The staff was very helpful and polite, both at the reception and the restaurants. Really nice being able to choose from two high quality restaurants within the same building. Really saved a lot of trouble. Breakfast was very nice with a lot to choose from, good fresh food as well as desserts. The hotel room was kept very clean and tidy the whole stay which was very nice. The gym was quite small but sufficient, might be better ventilation. Really recommend this hotel.

Generally we like this hotel and staff are very nice. However on the evening we arrived off the shuttle bus, cold and wet, we were waiting for roughly 30 minutes in order to get checked in. There were 3 staff behind reception desk but it was incredibly slow. Everyone was getting fed up. I can't understand why it took so long. The service in the bar is very efficient and food was pretty good. In our room there were 2 beds, a double and a single. The mattress is very comfortable but I would prefer a bigger double bed. The bedroom is warm and has everything you would need. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

My fiancé and I had a great stay here. Paul in the Italian was great. He made sure we were looked after from the minute we arrived in the restaurant. The staff in the bar were great. We couldn’t have asked for a better time. Would highly recommend this hotel. Our room was so nice. We will definitely be returning!

We loved this hotel and really enjoyed the friendly staff, GREAT food and beautiful, clean room! The fact that it also had a shuttle to the airport, which was also available if we wanted to go into Dublin for a small fee, was an added bonus that shows you really care about your guests! If there is one request I'd like to make, it would be to provide hair creme rinse and body lotion in the room... but that's so tiny, it didn't take away from our great experience here!

After 3 weeks traveling through Europe, our group of 3 unanimously agreed to have eaten one of the best meals at Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport. Specifically noteworthy was the service provided by Irena who was most welcoming. After being seated, she patiently answered all our questions about the menu. She provided recommendations upon request with qualifiers about her own preferences(to be fair). She was most attentive, courteous, motivated to make our meal & our stay enjoyable. The chef also is to be commended for the high quality of our meals.

Great hotel if you need to stay away from city or take an early morning flight from Dublin Airport. There are airport shuttles available running 24 hours a day and it takes about 10 mins to the terminals 1/2. The self service checkin did not work for me for a technical issue but staff was very helpful to resolve it. Food and service was great in the bar. There is also a Italian restaurant inside if you fancy it but you need to book a reservation first. Room was great with great view of the flights coming towards Dublin airport. There is also a small shop to buy coffee or snacks for a quick bite.

The hotel is a fantastic value for the cost! Clean and beautiful! There was a problem with the check in process but reception was prompt and fixed it immediately. We ate at the Playwright Bar and service, Ionut, was great! Food was delicious. Drinks were tasty!

Very clean and well maintained. Only executive rooms are air conditioned. Food was OK but not that great. Room service is only toasted sandwiches so had to eat in the bar/brasserie Airport shuttle is a plus but ensure you allow a full 30 minutes for the journey as it seems to be busy at all times of the day. Would definitely stay again. Would probably opt to order food in though.

This hotel is lovely, parked here for airport parking a couple of times and decent prices and only stayed here recently and also ate in the bar. Staff really amazing, nice and helpful. Rooms decent size and decent amenities. Price for an airport hotel of that high standard is ok I think as well.

It smelled like BO in my room so badly, I almost complained. I smelled everything of mine, but it was definitely the room. I opened the window and that took care of it, but for a 4 star hotel, that's pretty ridiculous. The room itself was pretty dinged up too. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. The Italian restaurant was crazy expensive for pretty basic pasta as well. But I mostly stayed there for the shuttle, which was fabulous, so I'd stay again just for that

This was an outstanding hotel. Comfortable, brand new, great amenities, super clean, and excellent service throughout even while it was very busy. The free shuttle to and from the airport is quick and convenient. Highly recommended.

We were at the end of our trip and wanted to enjoy an adult beverage. We were in the area outside one of the restaurants and the place was very busy. We were greeted and served by a waitress, Snitty. She assured us that was her name. She was very gracious and gave us wonderful service. Thank you!

The location is fantastic to Dublin airport. The hotel is very clean. Best part were the girls at the reception/check in: Ramona, Milli and Jade helped myself and my friends check in and check out they were so friendly and informative about the area, dinner reservations and they were eager to help with anything we needed. Such a pleasure to end our vacation with such pleasant young ladies and a beautiful hotel. We will definitely stay again and will spread the word about our great stay at the Clayton! Thanks again

Great hotel and centrally-located to get to the airport. What stood out was the incredible service at the Playwright bar. Though busy, Irena was an excellent server, ready with a smile and a positive attitude. She made me feel very welcome. Remarkable service deserves a shoutout, and Clayton picked the right person!

We ate dinner at the Playwright Bar restaurant. We cannot say enough about the service that Irena gave us. She was happy to give us the attention that made us feel welcome. She answered all our questions and made our dining experience a pleasure, such a warm and friendly person. The food was very good especially the chicken wings.

The hotel is modern and immaculate. The staff is professional but so, so personable. Everyone seems completely committed to making the guests’ stay as pleasant as possible. I would recommend booking directly with the hotel to take off the best price on their special promotions. It is always better to avoid the aggregators and their obfuscation on any later issue one may have to address. Dealing with the one responsible for the product is always the best policy, in my opinion.

The hotel, despite being close to the airport, is quiet. The planes were not heard. Room was clean. We had a great dinner in an Italian restaurant right in the hotel. I have to praise the service - Štefan from Slovakia, he was TOP, he advised us everything and we were very satisfied thanks to him. Also shuttle bus was excellent, went on time. We will be happy to come back here.

An unexpected travel delay brought me to the Clayton Hotel at the Dublin Airport and they were a shining treasure, one I plan to aim towards intentionally in the future! When I was so overwhelmed by the exceptional breakfast buffet’s Gluten Free Croissants that I asked the staff where they found them and how I could find them myself, Ingrid (from the dining room) and the head chef both went above and beyond, including sharing the vendor information and ensuring that I had my fill for the duration of my extended stay and beyond. Their warmth and care, their belief in excellent customer service, and their understanding of how important food allergies can be to those who struggle, all combined to make the Clayton Hotel leap up to become my all time favorite travel surprise. Thank you to the entire team for your grace and hospitality. My party of 4 and I all felt like royalty :).

Everyone here was helpful and nice from the first moment we got here. It’s a big and busy hotel (being near the Dublin airport), but it is run very efficiently! A man was directing traffic (bus, taxi, car) to help move things along when we pulled in, and once we got to the parking lot, another man in a security vehicle stopped to direct us to an empty parking spot near the entrance to the lobby. We arrived at 3 p.m. and got our room keys quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. We went down to eat dinner later, and that was also a pleasant experience—good food, reasonably priced, and served quickly. Good overall experience!

A pleasant stay overall, in a nice hotel that has some room for improvement. PROS: Location is ideal for the airport, and the free shuttle to the terminal was a big stress saver. Room was pleasant and comfortable. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and were happy to help us with storing medication in the fridge. Food in the Italian restaurant was lovely. CONS: Prices are way too high. Parking costs extra, a rip off that would not be tolerated in order countries. Rooms do not come with a fridge as standard. Breakfast staff were unfriendly, and some of the hot food was already going cold although we were there for opening at 6AM.

repeat visitor, close to the airport, convenient shuttle, lots of places to sit and eat, or drink, somehow busy but not crowded, which is an accomplishment, clean and tidy, obvious that efforts are made continuously to keep the place really nice. front desk staff eager to assist, but with accents from all over the world (beautiful to hear), perhaps slow down just a touch and the communication will be much more clear. (full marks for effort, though - thanks!)

An absolutely brilliant hotel. We live on the North Coast so we often stay here before or after a big trip. My most recent visit we had an amazing dinner at The Playwright. Not only was the food stellar, our server was incredible! He was attentive without being obsequious, and served us with a great sense of humour and an attention to detail. I highly recommend The Clayton, and ask for Ionut, an extraordinary server… he really made our night!!

It was the little things - I turned up in a hire car after the frazel of negotiating Dublin afternoon peak hour traffic and (relative ) success navigating to the hotel. I hadn't booked the car in because I intended to return it once I had dropped off the family. The gentleman on security kindly assisted by letting us through and providing a temp car parking spot to allow me to unload and scoot so that I made the drop-off in time. Shuttle bus just makes the whole process easy

  • 2/5 shauna 7 months ago on Google
Good location, shuttle bus is very handy with lovely drivers. The staff member who checked us in last night was ignorant to ourselves and the other staff member behind the counter, he seemed like he hated his job to be honest. Our room decor was nice, a bit dirty though. Our face cloth in the bathroom hadn’t been changed from the previous person so that was a nice added touch ( had orange make up all over it ) Our view from our room was the reception counter with blinding light bulbs in front of the window. I’ve stayed here before and it was comfortable however, this time the bed was very uncomfortable, definitely not the standard you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. The bed and pillows were lumpy…overall we didn’t have a good nights sleep and the room we got was definitely not worth the price we paid for it. Water bottles was a great touch added to the room.

I feel like we were transported back to a motel in the 80's. The lobby of the hotel is very nice and I was expecting a lot more for the rooms. There was not a fridge and the only air we had from an actual small fan that we had to plug in, no thermostat in the room and what looked like the AC did not work at all. Our remote didn't have a back to it. Since there was not a fridge, we needed ice to keep some things for our infant cool, there was not even an ice bucket. We called the front desk and they told us to go to the bar. We went to the bar and they gave us a bag of ice, still no bucket. To turn the lights on, you have to insert your key card. At check in, the employee was very short with us, basically just handed me the key. He didn't explain anything about the shuttle, breakfast or anything we needed to know. I actually had to say I had questions as he was already calling up the next guest. The parking is also a disaster, be aware there is NO loading zone at all. Positives: Shuttle bus driver was very helpful with our bags. That might be the only positive I can think of.

  • 3/5 Audie B. 4 months ago on Google
The hotel lobby area is beautiful and it is very close to the airport which is very convenient for travelers. The 24 hour shuttle bus provided was ideal and I was very grateful. However, I’m giving the hotel a 7 out of 10 for a number of reasons: some issues with cleanliness, very poor breakfast food quality and drink, and a random 1.75 euro charge to my account after I had paid my full bill. Of course, 1.75 euros doesn’t bother me at all, but I was confused as to where it came from and why I was being charged after I had already paid in full the previous night. It felt disorganized and slightly sneaky. All in all, it was a fine enough stay, but for the price I paid for the night I expected much more and friendlier staff.

  • 4/5 Sean N. 4 months ago on Google
We choose the hotel for the location to the airport as we were leaving the next day. The check in/ ground floor area is great. Very spacious. It has two restaurants and bars, the service is top notch and check in check out was seamless. The room we stayed in (two adults) was a double, and the bed was fine, but the room is tiny and the bathroom is even smaller. The door to the bathroom almost touches the sink, so you have to get skinny to slide by the door. The hotel is good for a nights stay, but if you're going to stay longer you'd need more room. As in all of Dublin parking is a huge challenge, and this hotel is no different. They have their own parking which is $10 Euro per night and it's a tight fit.

We arrived at the hotel and we had a really hard time with the automated check in system. After having an employee help and try 3 times to get our keys we finally got them. We went up to our room and it was really small. The smallest room we had on our entire trip to Ireland. We were unpacking and noticed a very large stain on the carpet and the room smelled extremely bad. The mattress was terrible and felt like a spring might stab through any minute. We had pre purchased the 3 course meal at the Italian restaurant and it was not good. Very few choices and terrible service. The next morning we had an early flight so we went to breakfast with low expectations and we were very surprised that the breakfast was really good and super good service and accommodating staff. Wish we would have had dinner there instead of the Italian place. Overall it is a flea bag hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone

Very clean, comfortable and pleasant stay. Beautiful hotel and beyond my expectations for being so close to the airport. Parking was 13 euro per day for guests. Shop/petrol station across the road which was 24 hour. Buses run frequently to the airport and from there you can catch a bus to the city centre. If you don't want to stay in the Hussle n bustle of Dublin city centre this is a perfect location to stay.

Hotel is beautiful, the playwright bar is so comfortable and relaxing and food exceptional. There was absolutely no fault in the cleanliness one of the cleanest hotels I've been in. Breakfast was exceptional with so much choice. My only negative is the bed it was so hard which I and my husband found very hard to sleep in. I only got two hours myself. However we will definitely be back if there's an option of a softer mattress

EXCELLENT Customer Service. Working on booking a flight one evening before Christmas I made the reservation for the following day in error. Their policy, perfectly reasonably, says no refund within 24 hours. However when I emailed them describing the issue they cancelled the reservation at no cost. Excellent customer service (especially for someone that was not a customer yet). I will certainly be booking there in the future and recommend them based on service alone.

The room was quiet, clean and spacious with fantastic blackout curtains. I had 4 nights here and would ask the hotel to take these ideas on board. 1) Hot chocolate is a great nightcap. Nobody wants coffee before bed. I'm talking about room facilities. 2) Also, plastic cups with handles would be great for those spending more time with you.

The click and collect option for the in room dining is a sorry story - the food was below average and the cutlery was way worse than what could be reasonably expected in a fast food chain. Otherwise just an airport hotel.

A monster of a hotel. I thought all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. As was dinner in The Italian Kitchen and The Playwright bar. Although both are quite pricey. The car park is huge and easy to use. The shuttle bus to and from the airport is also very handy. The only thing was our room could have done with a bit of a deeper clean. But otherwise, very nice stay.

All round handy airport hotel for an early morning departure or late night arrival. The parking isn't too expensive but it's chaotic trying to find a spot, it's not assigned and you just have to get lucky. The room was spotless and well maintained no complaints there, bathroom was also in excellent shape The in-house restaurant is a bit expensive even for Dublin prices but the pizzas were very good. It seems the hotel is very aware that they are your only choice of dining though. It's quite far out from the airport, expect a 20 minute coach transfer but they do run very regularly so not a huge deal.

I stayed in the Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport the night before I flew out to France. The staff members I met at reception and in the bar were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The room was of a very high standard and was very accurately advertised on the hotel's website. Food was excellent. I left my car in the car park until 4 days later and the total cost of this service was excellent value.

Spent an excellent weekend in Dublin and stayed here. Great hotel, large room and an excellent walk-in shower. Breakfast was provided with everything you could want. Friendly staff, willing to help in any way. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to Dublin Airport. Such a good service with friendly drivers.

Absolutely brilliant. The reception, the room, cleanliness, the evening meal and the service which accompanied it and finally breakfast. The staff on arrival the meal layout, the variety of food, cleanliness. If anyone can find fault with your hotel first they need to be examined by a psychological specialist. Praise for all the staff. Dont change anything.

For a 400 euro/night hotel, it truly did not meet our expectations. The location was convenient being so close to the airport, BUT they don't have room service (despite it being advertised in the rooms and elevators), no waters in the room, no refrigerator in the room, & a disconnect between the restaurant and the hotel. Honestly it was disappointing and I'm glad we were only there for one night.

Payed €67 for 2 weeks parking last year. This year it's over €200. As tax payers, we payed supports towards the hospitality sector during covid. The reward we get is prices being trebbled once the industry gets back on its feet? Price gouging at its finest. Disgusting attitude towards their (previously) loyal customers.

The shuttle service from the airport was very convenient. Check- in was without a glitch and was provided with a room on the sixth floor. The hotel seemed very busy with a lot of guests at the reception wanting to check in. Tried booking a slot at the bar for some dinner but had to go to reception as could not get any time slots. Managed to get seated and ordered my meal and a beverage. Was content with having to wait as I knew it would take longer to prepare. Barely 10 minutes had passed Nd my food was ready...which I was very surprised with as it was unusual that the meal was ready within 10 minutes. Thought something was not right and so it was ...the meal had basically been kept ready and heated because it became cold very quick just had to leave half way. Was not happy at all....and to be honest could not be bothered with arguing as was too tired. Having had a meal with my colleagues last night was a different experience as the meals arrived around the time you'd expect and it was delicious. Just not happy with the service I received on my first day here hence the low service rating. Pets see what today brings ....will post again.

All together happy with the service. Very friendly and helpful staff first of all. I would like mention Ramona at the desk and a young lad Thomas who’s helped me at breakfast as I am a disabled person with a walking aid. I was asking for gluten free bread and 2 servers said they don’t have, only other types of gluten free options. At the end of my breakfast I’ve found it. Do it would be great if you’d place it where other bread options are and not hiding it in the corner. Secondly the bathroom needs another drain as it was flooded when took a shower. Paid around €200 for a night and the service was like I mentioned good! Will be coming back.

The hotel is not walking distance to the airport, but the shuttle works very well. Just go to Zone 16 and catch the hotel's free shuttle bus. Clean and decent-sized rooms. Good breakfast buffet. The restaurant can get busy, but you do get served quickly enough. Main reason why I'm giving this hotel 5 stars is the outstanding customer service. We were touring Ireland in 10 days and each night, we stayed at a different hotel. I was so overwhelmed with all the reservations I had to do. Instead of booking a room for 13 July, I made the mistake of reserving a room on 13 June. Imagine my shock when I learned the day before we drove back to Dublin that we have no room as it was past the booked date. I called the hotel immediately and explained the error on my part. The reservations agent (Rachel) was sympathetic and said that I could use the no-show night (already charged) for my actual stay in Dublin. I just need to pay the difference in rates because July rates are higher than those in June. Thank goodness! I did not lose 303 euros because of my mistake. Although it took a while to get refunded, once I spoke to the front desk manager ( sorry, I forgot her name - Mimi or something), she said she will reverse the charges immediately as soon as she confirms what was agreed with Rachel/Karen. If they are so understanding of my mistake, I am sure they will be on so many other fronts so thank you for that!

Stayed here for a night with family and it was amazing! we stayed in 18 different hotels throughout our trip but this was the best. the beds were extremely comfortable, everything was clean and aesthetically pleasing. But what tops this review off is the BREAKFAST. Eggs benny, fruits, parfaits, smoothies and everything else you can dream of. Amazing hotel!!

Very accommodating hotel. They let me check-in extra early and the restaurant and bar staff were beyond excellent. Rooms were spacious and clean. The airport shuttle was convenient and rotated 24/7. Will definitely stay here again!

A beautiful, clean, fabulous hotel. Located right next to the airport, shuttle bus service every 30 minutes to Terminals and cheaper than Airport parking in dry, underground parking. I paid a bit more for a room upgrade, our room was big, super clean, nice bathroom, fab adjustable heating on this frosty night. The shower pressure was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel. Good value for money too, especially considering the location.

Excellent on all levels. The small details like the room workout on the app and all room details on the mirror QR Code, saving paper. The level of cleanliness was amazing. The glass elevator is cool. The foot pull on the bathroom doors is genius. Great idea that the meeting rooms have a call button, as well as a meeting rooms reception desk. So many extremely helpful facilities. The staff were super friendly and food was really good too. So much parking available and shuttle to the airport outside the door too. Highly recommend!

This is my fifth visit to this hotel. My first been in 2013. I've always found the atmosphere warm and welcoming. This just seems to improve visit after visit. I found the staff full of cheer, and all had a wonderful helpful attitude. The restaurant/bar is relaxed with a great selection of food available. The hotel has the added advantage of a free shuttle service to the airport. Sadly. I was was a little surprised, as a paying guest. To have to pay for parking. This is an issue the management seriously needs to address

Stayed here as I was with someone who had an early flight in the morning. The room was OK, very basic, large hotel. Prices for drinks etc were extremely high. Positive note the staff were friendly. It's more of a stop-gap hotel than a relaxing hotel. Very handy if you have an early flight from Dublin Airport - they have a shuttle bus to and from the airport.

The good.. free shuttle from the airport. Breakfast is a serve yourself buffet style deal. Great options for everyone. The rooms are nice but getting them serviced each day (new tea/coffee fresh towels) was a challenge. All in all a decent stay for the price.

We were traveling between Italy and the USA with an extended layover in Dublin. This was a perfect hotel that was convenient, offered 24hr shuttle service to and from the airport, and 24hr staffed reception center. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facility was clean and quiet. The rooms met our expectations. Highly recommend the Clayton Hotel.

Shuttle bus worked alright, and the rooms were big and warm. However, The food and entertainment offering was poor, nothing to eat after 10pm as someone else mention...oh , apart from room service with almost a tenner of "tray fee." Bar closed at 11pm so there was absolutely nothing to do with nothing nearby. All vending machines were broken and petrol station across the road only open via window. Felt like we were forced to spend money on poor food from the hotel. Not worth the money, even with a discount, would rather go to holiday inn across the road

Our stay was not good. The room is really overpriced for the quality and the service. To start there is an odd smell throughout the hotel and room. I don’t knew what it was - maybe bad carpet freshener or they had just fumigated for insects? Or maybe there’s just no good air flow through the hotel because I didn’t see any open windows and there was no AC vents in our room. The room: There was no air conditioning in the room and only one window that could open only a tiny bit, letting in almost no air, and it had to be covered by the blackout curtains at night therefore blocking nearly all airflow. The bathroom sink was old - the bowl varnish and paint was peeling. The shower didn’t have a handheld piece which should be there considering the room was over 200 euros for one night. Food: There are no food options after 10 pm. No bar, restaurant or even room service. And nothing nearby. The only thing we could do was order a pizza delivery. Strangely, the front desk didn’t call to notify it had arrived even though our room number was clearly written on the delivery box. By the time we realized it was there, the pizza was cold. No option to microwave it for us either, although surely there’s a microwave in the hotel. In the morning, the breakfast was good - probably the only thing I liked about this hotel. The airport shuttle: The receptionists gave conflicting information about the airport shuttle - next to one another, one said it would come in 25 minutes, and another said it would come in 10. As it turns out, it was arriving in 1 minute. Good thing I looked outside or I would’ve missed it and possibly my flight as well. The hotel also isn’t that close to the airport. There are closer hotels. The airport shuttle drops you off with quite a walk to Terminal 2 - if you’re older or have problems pushing luggage for some distance across outdoor paved walkways, you’ll be in trouble. It should drop off in front of terminal 1 and 2 directly. This hotel should not be charging over 200 euros a night for such a subpar room and careless service.

We were collected from Dublin Airport Coach park by a rude, unhelpful bus driver. The hotel was busy but functional with cabin crew from many airlines indicating it's fiscal popularity. Our evening meal was basic, unappetizing, greasy and over priced. The room was clean and adequate, bed comfortable and no complaints. Breakfast was also on par with most hotels of this type with a good selection of food. Most staff were pleasant and helpful though appeared to be stressed and unhappy. Checkout was quick and easy. The bus driver on this occasion was friendly and helpful in contrast to the original.

Returning to the US from London, my family and I had a 14-hour layover in Dublin so we decided to stay one night at the Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport. The hotel is close to the Dublin Airport with 24/7 complementary to-and-fro shuttle service which was a large part of our decision of choosing a place to stay. The shuttle ran every 30 minutes which was very convenient, however, the shuttle service dropped us off at the wrong airport terminal. This was particularly troublesome because my mother required handicap services, and they dropped us off at the wrong terminal, leaving us without any aid to navigate an airport we've never been to. At least pointing us to a wheelchair would have been helpful, but that was not done either. That's my one major complaint. Other than the wrong drop-off with the shuttle service, the hotel itself was of very good quality and accommodated my family of 3 comfortably and respectfully. I was pleased with the quality of the food from both the hotel's Italian restaurant and Lobby cafe. The staff was very courteous and informative, and I appreciated their services to us. My only criticism of the hotel is that breakfast was not included, but other than that, I have no complaints of the hotel whatsoever. I would recommend this hotel if you have a long, overnight layover in Dublin, but not if you or your party are traveling with needs of handicap services and are relying on the shuttle service to be considerate of those needs. I personally (being a young, able-bodied man) plan to look for other Clayton Hotels in the city/country when I have a proper visit to Ireland again.

👍👍 Fantastic food and Service! Beautiful dining room. Thanks for an amazing & friendly experience. Had the Veal rare with garlic & rosemary potatoes. My daughter had the oven brick margarita pizza w/ham. Both excellent dishes.
