Attention, this location is no longer a hostel for travellers. It is being used as emergency accommodation for the homeless in Dublin.

I stayed at the hostel with friends for one night in the four bed room on the lower floor. The noise level down there was unacceptable. The door to the outdoors area, the showers from above and people just normally walking above us were so loud it made sleeping almost impossible. Even worse the fire alarm went off three times in just one hour (around 11:00-11:30 pm) without anyone reacting to it. We only found out after explicitly asking that it was activated by people showering upstairs and nothing to worry about. How is that possible? We had an early flight to catch but sleeping was nearly impossible until 2am. Also only very weak WiFi in common areas and thus not very useful even though the website makes you think otherwise. The staff however was very friendly and helpful with questions. All in all I would not recommend staying there no matter how close the location is to the city center.

The staff were absolutely atrocious. I will never ever stay there again. When we walked in the door the gentleman at reception asked for ID. We politely asked why they needed it and the man started shouting, cursing and abusing us. Telling us to go sleep on the f***ING Street. For fear that we would have nowhere to sleep we tried to calm the man down. He agreed to let us stay then told us the room was not ready. Check in was 2 o clock and we arrived at five. We then had to wait a half hour for the room to be ready. In the room the main light didn't work. The sheets were clean but the mattresses were ancient and falling apart. It smelled bad. The dart was right beside the hostel so we got absolutely no sleep. There was a communal outside area in which some guest kept revving a motorcycle at 7 in the morning. Staying here was genuinely upsetting. Please don't stay here. For your own sake.

I've gotta say - the actual room was good, no problem there, and the staff was very helpful. The location is also a plus - it's right next to the bus station, very close to city centre. However, the bathrooms were kinda rough - clean enough, but very old looking, and not in a vintage way. I couldn't connect to the wifi at all. There's no breakfast and no common room, not to my knowledge at least. I feel like you can get all above at a similar price, if you book early enough for there to be place, which we couldn't do.

We stayed in a double room, it had it's own bathroom and shower which was a bonus as we were expecting a shared bathroom. The staff were really nice. The room was nice but a bit tired. The shower was tiny, I'm 6'7" and I couldn't stand up in it. There was no soap in the dispenser and no bath mat. Otherwise our stay was great and would recommend to others wanting a cheaper stay in Dublin. Short walk to Temple Bar just over the river.

The staff is very nice, the room and bathroom were clean and the location is amazing! Internet works as well. We stayed for 3 nights, including New Year. The flush in the toilet didn't work, and no one repaired it for the whole time we stayed. Fortunately we could use others, outside our bedrooms.

Booking went smooth and checking in early was no issue. The rooms are very dated, which is what could be expected for the price you pay. The thing I really disliked was how dirty the showers were. It's one thing to pay only a few tens per night, but having such a dirty environment is never ok. Other than that the place is what you'd expect. Walking distance to city center and public transport. Bus from airport stops very close to the hostel. Our room for 8 was spacious, I found the beds to be a bit hard and pillows were tiny.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean and simple. Nothing special. They could at least put a table and some chairs in each room, because except beds there was nothing :( Bathrooms could be more comfortable. Staff was really friendly and the location is perfect. had a nice stay!!

Friendly staff. Sub standard cleaning. When I entered my shared dorm the beds hadn't been cleaned yet and their was dust bunnies under the bed. The bathroom on the 1st floor only has one toilet as well was falling apart and water leaking from the ceiling. The kitchen and garden we're both quite nice. I would said they need to update thier technology. Had an old school reservation book they referred to when I checked in. When I checked out all the guy did was give me a thumbs up. One up side is their are no keys to remember. The doors have a code lock on them.

A double room costed 29 Euro which was pretty great for a budget trip. Bare in mind the bathroom is run down and has no amenity. The heater in the room wasn’t functioning and the bed made squeaky noises. The staff was friendly and kept my luggage even after the checkout.
