The hostel is clean and the people are nice but the location is not ideal and a bit far from downtown. I slept one night in room 6A called the "chapel experience". This is a dorm of 16 beds which corresponds to what i had booked. But this dorm is not a nice place to sleep at. There are no curtains on the windows and this room serves as an entrance to a second 16 bed dorm (room 6B) making it an almost 32 bed dorm. People were coming and going all night. This coupled with the broad day light at 6 am and the night is ruined. On top of that, the price of the night was pretty expensive (around 60€). The breakfast is OK but nothing phenomenal. I tried two different bathrooms and none of them had hot water. There are other hostels in Dublin offering a better service and location for much cheaper. To sum up, the chapel experience is a pretty bad one. I hope the other dorms of this hostel are better than the one I slept at.

This was my first hostel experience and I had a wonderful time. 3 nights in Dublin, in a dorm with 5 other girls. Beds were comfortable and clean. It was sometimes a little noisy with people walking upstairs but I brought earplugs and always fell asleep quickly. The free breakfast was pretty simple (toast, cereal, fruit, tea) but delicious and more than satisfactory. I really enjoyed the patio out back with picnic tables — that’s usually where I had my morning tea. Staff were always helpful and offered to keep my luggage for a few hours after I checked out, so I didn’t need to lug it around the city. I will definitely come back here if I am in Dublin again!

The hostel is a lovely place with employees with a good vibe. Really enjoyed my stay here and all the facilities were great! Even free breakfast included for this price in Dublin is a catch! However, none of the 5 days I had a nice and hot shower, some days cold and some days warm-ish. If this would be fixed, no doubt a 5 star review!

I loved this hostel! Good, friendly service. The decorations and colorful walls were absolutely gorgeous and brightened my day! I loved the friendly atmosphere, the largeness of the rooms and property, and multitude of bathrooms and shower rooms, the cleanliness of the bathrooms, and the free breakfast! I honestly found the mattresses very comfortable. I also really enjoyed the layout. Keep up the good work! It is situated a bit more on the outskirts of Dublin City, but there are still attractions nearby. Overall, definitely deserving of 5 stars!

Very happy with the stay. The price was acceptable as it was the desired location. The staff are an asset at this Hostel, really lovely and friendly. The free Breakfast service is perfect, they have many toilets/bathrooms which are kept clean regularly and the beds are really good as well. I do however prefer bottom ones. Overall, a minimum of 4/5 stars from me.

Did the job! We had a private bunk bed room, which was perfect abd big enough for 2 on a quick city break. All the toilets/bathrooms/facilities were clean good quality. Plenty of choice at breakfast too.

This is a really nice hostel, with friendly and professional 24h staff, kitchen use, FREE breakfast/tea/coffee (super super nice) and clean rooms/bathrooms/common spaces. Lots of wall art and bright hallways make you feel quite welcomed. It was nice to curl up on the couch and read or play guitar as well as sit outside and eat. It's an extremely social atmosphere if you like that, with lots of international visitors and people there for long stays. Can get a little noisy, but that is part of the hostel experience. Location is not the best but you can get to downtown if you take busses or commit to about 30 minutes of walking. They have a bag storage room and other helpful items available.

Very good hostel. Rooms were very clean and cleaned daily, fresh bed sheets and freshly made beds upon arrival. Friendly staff and good location not quite in the city centre but only a 15-20 minute walk away. Bus directly to/from the airport from the street that takes about half an hour (outside of rush hour). Good common room facilities with a sofa room and tv, dining areas, common room with pool table, board games and TV and a large outdoor smoking area at the back. Price is comparable to other hostels in the city centre. Great restaurants and cafes nearby. Only downside is that the property is not accessible for wheelchair users there is a lift provided however it is very small.

I missed my bus from dublin to Wexford and had to way to get home. I checked hostels near me and seen this one! I went up and was able to check in even after 12am I stayed for 1 night and it was great, the staff member (I didn’t get his name) was very helpful, kind and informative about everything. Whenever I am staying in dublin again it will be with you guys again!

I really thought this was a hostel that had great oversight and are continuously improving. It had a variety of bonuses that I really like in a hostel. —It had a jacuzzi! —There were lots of clean toilets/bathrooms. —A really nice private back seating lounge. —Plenty of refrigerators —and cooking spaces for many. —The windows were very large. —And biggest perk was it had private secure parking that was so convenient. —There was always someone available —The residents and guests were all very mature and respectful. —The ages here were varied which I think is a bonus. —The staff ate very tuned into making sure guests are able to find the resources they need! It’s a comfortable Hostel and I definitely recommend.

We spent 3 nights in the hostel and found the stay a bit unpleasant. The welcome at the reception was ok, but not particularly nice or warm. We slept in a room with four beds. The room was very uncharitably furnished: 2 bunk beds and that was it. No armchair or chair, no real storage, no coziness. Unfortunately, there are no curtains on the beds, as is the case in many other hostels, to have at least some privacy. There was a broken stool in the corner that almost fell apart. There are lockers under the beds and a tiny bit of storage space. The beds unfortunately squeak a lot, which is annoying when you turn during the night. Toilets and showers are on the floors - they are partly very outdated and depending on the time of day not very clean. In front of a shower was a very disgusting shower mat, the toilets were partly not clean. There was loud music over the loudspeaker on the floors during the day, which is annoying if you want to sleep briefly during the day. The breakfast is good for a hostel. There is cereal, toast with jam and Nutella, juices and coffee, tea and cow's milk. Unfortunately, there were no milk alternatives, which should be standard by now, such as oat milk. On the first floor there is a room with sofas. In the basement there is a large kitchen and a large dining room. The tables here are unfortunately very sticky. There is also a nice outdoor area, but we did not use it. Overall, there is a definite need for improvement in a few places. We would not come here again, but look for a cozier and more centrally located hostel for our next visit.

I thought this was a great property the first time I entered and staff seemed nice as well. I arrived at night but the dorm seemed to be satisfactory as well (apart from the stiff, uncomfortable mattress that I could absolutely have lived with, though). After about ten minutes I heard it for a first time: a sound like a dishwasher but times 10000 it was so very loud and my bed was shaking so that I was immediately fully awake (with earplugs in). Now I thought this might have been a one time thing but this continued to happen every ten minutes and after two hours (it’s 2 am at this point) I go and ask the reception and they tell me I’m right next to the lift. Apparently the wall is so thin that you hear every single movement. They told me “Haha yeah many people complain about it” as if that made it better? If everybody complains about it how do you not do anything…. Like closing it at night (if wheelchair users need it, then no problem at all- one, two times per night do not matter) or just letting customers know beforehand? I have stayed in many hostels and I know that hostels are noisier than other accommodations and I know it’s not going to be as comfortable- that, I am absolutely okay with. But I have never witnessed something like this, any sleep at all was truly impossible. I was in an all-female dorm and when I asked if I could maybe be moved, they said yes but because this would be a 4 people dorm, they would have to charge me extra. I told them thanks but I’d rather stay somewhere else then and they promptly told me I did not need to pay extra. What was unclear to me was that I was going to be in a room that was just two males (I had never seen/met before, as it was 2:30 am) and me. I was so uncomfortable, especially because one of them was still awake and just staring at me constantly, that I could not sleep at all. I went to the reception again and asked if I could maybe sit on the couch in the common area but they told me it was closed because a “regular” was sleeping there- in this context it might have been to a homeless person, as I have read in other reviews. This is completely fine but left me with nowhere to go or stay so I was left with being in that room until 7am and having to end up staying in a hotel. Additionally, even in my new dorm I could still faintly hear the lift (which just speaks to how loud it is) and a crashing noise from the ceiling- one of the men said they were having a rave party there, no idea if that was true. But, if you’re not getting the elevator dorm you might get one that is still very loud. Overall, the experience was deeply unpleasant and uncomfortable and staff were nice at first but quickly became annoyed and didn’t understand how this was very uncomfortable for me. They told me they couldn’t do anything and that I’d just have to deal with it. I do very much understand that partially, staff could not help me after a certain point but being empathetic and trying to find a solution would have helped- refunds were made impossible, even though I only “stayed” there for a night and booked four. There definitely needs to be a change made about the lift. If you must stay here, make sure your room is far away from the lift and that you’re not a solo traveler.

Stayed here for a couple of nights, and it was lovely overall! The hostel was beautiful and secure, and the facilities were clean. The staff was also quite warm and welcoming. There were a good amount of stairs, but it looked like there was a lift available for those that needed it. I booked an en-suite dorm, and the bathroom was always clean. A couple of things: the mattresses are very thin, so it can be pretty uncomfortable. Definitely a step up from sleeping on the floor, but not a big one. The rooms can also get quite stuffy at night. The lockers were nice, but only backpack sized, so keep that in mind. I do wish the atmosphere had been a bit more social, everyone seemed pretty focused on their own groups while I was there, but it just depends on the folks staying there. City center isn’t too far of a walk and it was easy to get to restaurants, museums, convenience stores, etc. I would stay again :)

I really want to say that this hostel is perfect. The personnal is very professional and welcoming. I stayed almost 3 months there and I had a wonderful experience. Price are normal for a hostel in Dublin. But quality and facilities are more than a classic hostel. This good environment allow to people to feel good and set goods vibe in the establissment. They deal with problem with a professional maner but comprehensive as well. I will always keep a good memory from this place !

Nice outside seating area and simple yet abundant complementary breakfast. Bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned 3 times a day. However, cleaning starts at 08:00 with vacuuming the hall, which woke us up every morning (If we weren’t already awake due to the very noisy building). A lot of noise in the night (00:00-2:00 am) by guests, which is not the staffs fault but it would have been nice if they told the guests to be quite. The street is also very noisy, so if you are a light sleeper I suggest earplugs. A lot of guests were male, age 40-55, so not a good place for backpackers off season. City centre is 20 mins walk or 10-15 min by bus, which stops at 4 min walk from the hostel.

I booked a female only form which was great. I didn’t get a chance to spend too much time in the hostel just used it for sleeping. I was ok with the location10mins walk from the city centre and plenty of buses to use across the road. Was convenient travelling from the airport didn’t have any issues. Would recommend booking smaller rooms rather than big dormitories. The staff at this hostel are very helpful. Would recommend staying here if you ever in Dublin.

Not a bad location and the facilities are very clean and nice, but it’s hard to meet people here and everything is weirdly hyper-securitized, to the point that you can’t even enter the building with your ID card but must instead display it to a security guard through a window, who then approves your entry. More irritatingly, the doors in the bedrooms have an extremely noisy digital lock system that woke me up every single time someone entered the room (which includes every time they went to the bathroom, since the hostel also requires you to pass through a digitally locked door when walking 10 feet to the toilet and back - god knows why). Add to that that the chapel room, where I stayed, houses 32 people despite being advertised as a 16. Tons of foot traffic and very hot all through the night. Overall just a weird atmosphere and very difficult to sleep here.

I've stayed in a lot of hostels, and have stayed at Gardiner House twice. I actually enjoyed my stay quite a bit but still have to say it was "Okay" overall because it had lots of great qualities outweighed by some big drawbacks. Full review: Pros: Amazing atmosphere! Very friendly staff. Relatively clean. Safe. Huge, well stocked kitchen with plenty of storage space. Showers, in general, are very good with plenty of water pressure. Great common areas! Cons: Rooms are unbearably hot with no circulation. This is especially true in their large dorm which has one tiny window in a room with 16 people. Kitchen is completely locked for cleaning 3 times a day. You can't even access your food or put food away for those 90 min periods. Some of the mattresses are terrible, even by hostile standards. its luck of the draw whether you get a decent one or not. No bedside table of any kind for top bunks. No curtains on beds, even in large dorm. Motion activated lights keep the entire dorm brightly lit up all night and don't turn off. Shower on my floor was broken. One morning the second and third floor had NO water whatsoever. Construction right next door starts at 7am. Then at 8am you'll hear screaming kids from the school next door for the rest of the day. They also clean the bathrooms at 8am, right when everyone is waking up trying to shower, which is just dumb. Again the atmosphere is great which is why all this other stuff is disappointing. With some minor changes this place would easily be 4 stars. Hope this helps!

I recently stayed at this hostel and had a unfortunate experience regarding room safety. I was assigned a bed in a 12 person mixed dorm and arrived quite late on my first night. When I got assigned my bunk & room I was told vague directions by the front desk staff and found myself wandering around the place for 10 mins just trying to find the room. I eventually found the room and bed I was assigned to however, the bed was faulty. The frame almost flipped over as soon as I stepped one foot on the ladder to get to the top bunk. It was so pretty late so despite my better judgment I decided to wait until the next day to address the issue. The next day I went to the front desk clerk and told them the issue. The clerk minimized the issue and insinuated that I just wanted a lower bunk. He suggested that I had to pay an additional 10 euro if I wanted to change beds. I informed him that this was a safety issue and he reluctantly followed me to the room for me to show him the issue. As soon as I began climbing the bed with him watching he saw it almost fell over on my head and told me to hurry down. He said this was dangerous and that he would contact his boss. Later that night he told me that there was nothing that could be done that night and they could not move me because all beds were booked. No one new came that night and several beds in my room were empty. The bed was seemingly fixed the next morning however, as that was my last day it was almost pointless. Terrible hostel and would recommend staying away.

Stayed here a couple of times and it's definitely the best hostel I have come across. The place is super clean and has a large kitchen area which is perfect for cooking. The staff are also really nice and helpful with advice and tips on places to visit, good restaurants etc. They also have their own private parking facilities which is convenient for people who may be travelling by car. Would definitely stay here again.

What a stunning place! The staff go out of their way to make it an excellent experience for you when you arrive! What I loved the most is that this is not a party hostel. There is a curfew of 11pm when things need to be quiet so that guests can get a good night's sleep. Before COVID, they arranged socials and adhered to the 11pm curfew. If you are a traveling business person and prefer cooking your own food to stay on top of your game, this is the place. There is also a dining room that you can sit and work in on your laptop. It reminded me of going to sit in a café to work. It is also SUPER clean and well organised. They also adhere to all the COVID compliance guidelines, and it makes you feel safe and at ease. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Gardiner House Hostel because of all I mentioned, and it is also a stone's throw away from Dublin city centre which makes it more appealing. Thank you so much to the staff that are just the best!

Booked for late Dec. 2021 just as the Omicron variant was spreading. This hostel followed absolutely no Covid protocols; they did not check vaccination status at check in, mask wearing in common areas was not enforced, and there were people in my dorm who were showing clear covid symptoms without taking any precautions or even covering their mouths to cough. The hostel staff was dismissive of these concerns and did not appear to care that they could have the beginning of a mass spreader event there. I ended up having to move to a hotel not even spending one night there because it was so unsafe and unhygienic. The rooms, amenities, bathrooms and everything were also pretty unkempt. It's a hostel and all, I get that, but hair and soaked towels on the floor of each bathroom is kind of gross.

A nice hostel at a good price. We stayed in a double room. It was a bit noisy, but that was thought of by the hostel and on entering there were earplugs on the bed :) The shared bathroom and toilets were clean all day, very nice! The only downside was that we had to do 3 days with the same towel, we didn't have a clean one from the hostel. Location is good, about 20 minutes walk to the Temple Bar. Environment is quiet.

Absolutely wonderful staff, moved around some booking errors we had made no problem and were very welcoming. Nice independent bathrooms although several of the showers had issues with faulty taps. Room had a large number of beds and was poorly ventilated, got very stuffy. Lockers were very small and mine was warped so that it wouldn't shut properly. About 20 minute walk into the city centre, not too bad.

The staff were super friendly and made me feel very welcome. However the room and facilities were disappointing. I was in a 6 person female dorm and the beds were super squeaky and would make awful noises. The mattresses and pillows could definitely use an update as well as they were both uncomfortable. The bathroom wasn’t great. It looked clean but there was no fan and in such a small room it steamed up quickly. You could see mould growing on one of the walls. As for the location, it was quite disappointing. About 15 minute walk from the main area of Dublin which wouldn’t be so bad except there was barely any places nearby to get a reliable meal. And when trying to get groceries the places nearby were so run down and near empty. Finally, I’m from Australia which means my loved ones are on a complete opposite time zone. The best time for me to call was between 6-7am however the tv room is closed at this time and I was kicked out of the dining area for the cleaning lady to go through. So zero places for me to sit and take a call unless I wanted to sit on the stairs. Just personally think it’s an awful time to clean especially when no other communal space was available. A good thing is there is an elevator so you don’t need to fight any stairs with your luggage but outside of that I’m not sure this is a place I would recommend.

I asked for a room for myself and they gave me a shared room just in the middle of covid-19. They didn't read the email properly and made me waste time. I left the place as soon as I saw the bedroom with a person sleeping inside. They don't care about covid. Also, the facilities are full of people without a face mask.

TERRIBLE service today. When I arrived with my family, I was promptly informed that children are not admitted. This was a surprise to me, given that I had booked via an app which prompted me to book this location despite entering our guest names and ages. Absolutely NO compromise was possible, and staff refused even to refund the money that I had paid to reserve our beds. Why? “Because this is our policy.” Perhaps…. but it’s a bad one. And now my children and I have nowhere to stay tonight in what is arguably one of the most expensive cities in the UK. Blind adherence to policy is NOT management.

Not good for international travelers. Arrived, and was not sure to get a room for one or 2 nights(due i had to book a flight), dude behind the desk said no problem you can just cancel! So i booked for 2 nights, the same day a few hours after i booked i came to the desk to cancel, the second night and did not get a refund or not even a part back of my money! All other hostels where i stayed give refunds,... not gokng bavk never again, and not going ro recommend it to others.

Very cool hostel. Chilled vibe, helpful staff & great location. The rooms were bang on. Our room was a little noisy with traffic at night, but that's not the hostels fault. If you don't want traffic noise then don't stay in a city

It's a good place, but it has a Brazilian employee (I think it was Carol) who is extremely inelegant, disrespectful and bad-tempered. I stayed only for one night in one of the Chapel rooms, keep that in mind as I did not experience most things on offer (E.G: breakfast). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the building and various rooms look great and have a nice friendly culture to it. The bedroom itself (18 person shared dorm) was really nice, the bed had been made and it was clean (and smelled clean) though I would always suggest using your own bed/pillow covers. There was decent room to put away everything including a small locker under the bed. The bathrooms are the cleanest I've seen from a hostel and there are many. Overall it was a great hostel experience, not a single issue for my one day stay. I would love to come back to this hostel if I return to Dublin. Big thank you to the staff for being friendly and keeping everything clean.

I heartily recommend Gardiner House to anyone traveling in Belfast! My flight arrived well before the check-in time and the front desk staff went well out of their way to help me—placing my bags in the luggage room, allowing use of the common areas so I had a place to rest and meet people as I waited, they even let me go downstairs and get some breakfast. I can’t understate how relieving this all was for a first-time solo international traveler using hostels for the first time.

The room was terrible and probably the worst I have ever stayed. The whole room was dirty and untidy (old food, empty beer bottles, dirty clothes and even used covid test...). The bed was dirty and the condition of the matress was so bad, it was impossible to sleep on it. The shower didn't work (only cold water) and the toilet was really dirty. I leaved the Hostel after 2 nights, because it was so terrible.

A big and professionally run hostel with good facilities, unfortunately not very proactive regarding covid-19 protocols. Great included breakfast, large common rooms, good internet, free tea + coffee, good atmosphere but not a 'party' hostel. The hostel is very clean and has lots of bathrooms and showers and a big kitchen. Overall a good hostel however a few things were disappointing in our stay: - We stayed in the chapel room which is advertised as a 16 person dorm, this is actually very misleading as the chapel is two connected rooms ie. it's really a 32 person dorm. While a small locker is provided with each bed it won't fit most your things so you will have to leave your luggage out in a room where 31 people have access to it. - During our stay there was someone in our dorm who was clearly very ill with what seemed like covid symptoms, (lots of heavy coughing, needed staff to bring them water, in bed most the day). We notified staff but were told there was nothing they could do. We were able to move room (at our own expense) but I feel that was pretty poor covid management both for the sick individual who received no care and for the other guests who may get sick. - The chapel room is unique (literally a old chapel) but as such it doesn't have much window ventilation so with 32 people it gets very warm and stuffy.

Basic hotel with the minimum amount of amenities for a hostel. Location itself was around 30 minute walk from the river and the bigger tourist spots. Pricing was alright… it was inflated for us since there was a concert happening that weekend. Beds were simple and prone to creaking at night. You could tell when someone shifted and the pillows and mattresses were a bit thin. Mattress itself was a single. WiFi was provided, but be rather slow when it’s fully booked. Showers were relatively clean and had hot water. Sometimes could get very messy if a lot of people used it. Cleaning looked like it happened only once every morning. The common rooms were decent and cleaned well, however seemed a bit cold in terms of people weren’t hanging out or enjoying the shared space to make friends. The kitchen itself had everything a person would need to make simple meals. “Breakfast” was included… this means wheat or white bread, jams, Nutella, peanut butter, apple and banana, instant coffee, and some juices… Didn’t go on the tours provided, but they were offered.

It was an okay experience… I did not like the chapel experience which had 18 beds. It was in a converted church and did not feel as secure as other sections, as you had to walk through the bbq area to get it to. The staff was not very nice and were rude about my bill. It was not correct when I got there and told me to talk to my bank. They essentially charged the wrong amount twice, had to refund those amounts, and charge the right amount. That was very frustrating and started the trip on a sour note. It’s a 20 min walk to city center, which isn’t bad but the residential area did not feel the safest around it and very limited food options around it.

Wonderful hostel to stay at in Dublin. Clean and spacious rooms with a decent amount of space for luggage/backpack storage. Many clean bathrooms available, both in the dorm room and in hallways. Great kitchen and shared areas, including a dining area and social outdoor patio. The dorm got quite warm, but I was staying during a heat wave. The outdoor area can make it a little loud in the evening, but it quited down by midnight and ear plugs helped. On the Northside of the City Centre, provides a bit of a quieter neighborhood not far from the temple bar area. Easy access to bus stop (you can purchase a TIF Leap Card with a day pass for easy use, I purchased mine at the airport) and 10-20 minute walking distance. Decent place to stay in Dublin, especially for staying a little while.

I really enjoyed staying here - lovely amenities, great roommates / other guests - fantastic location - one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! (Dublin bikes for rent a block away €5 for three days - easy to explore all of Dublin - Croke Park easy walking distance) Can’t wait to come back.

Some rooms are close to a lift, which can be disturbing at night. You have to show your card every time before entering and we had to wait for reception to open the door for us a few times during the night. An automatic card system would make it much easier. On a positive note, the location of the hostel is really good and there is a common room and kitchen.

we should avoid this place. The staff at the reception at check-in was very rude and asked to cancel. I was told that another person in charge would refund the cancellation fee at a later date. Later, I returned to this hostel and went to collect the cancellation fee, but they insisted that I would not refund it. I looked down on Asians, asked the same question about 10 times, answered, but why? It is a fraud group that acts not to understand the story. Dublin has many great hostels. Avoid this hostel at all costs.

Clean one, very cool place to stay. Those 12/16 room are a bit too big and noise of people going in and out can be a bit too much.. also bathrooms are on the end of second room, so this can mean that people from both rooms are going to enter and exit two sets of doors, so sleep is a bit mission for headphones or earplugs.. kitchen is great, like that one for preparation, big space for Ur own food and outside garden space is best for eat, drink, smoke, meet and fun.. thank you, recommend and will book again. Today 😎

So me and my friend stayed here for 3 days and both of us were surprised how pretty and clean it was. The people working there are very nice and supportive. We loved the graffiti in which the whole hostel was styled in. A good place to stay, especially for young people. The breakfast was enjoyable and the kitchen was very big and always clean, so you could use it whenever you wanted (as long as you didn’t interfere cleaning times). The location wasn’t that great but after a 10 minute walk you were in the center of the city. But despite that we liked the stay there :) Thank u

Great stay. Stayed for over 2 weeks and can't complain. Great kitchen, enough for everyone to cook, breakfast was OK, enough room to sit while dinning, TV on dinning area and sitting room, outdoor smoking area facial towards the car park. Very clean and tidy venue. Enjoyed to be honest. Only a little downside have to mention. Was planning to stay nearly 10 days. Went to the reception to extend 4 days more and while speaking to the receptionist he mentioned that them four days parking would be taken off has a venue courtesy. I have happy, that venue done the extra mile to for guest satisfaction. After finishing the 4 days was soo happy that I wanted to book 1 week more. Paid for it and then mentioned if something could be done regarding parking. My plans were if I liked the venue to book a whole private only for myself. In my line of work I get more than half fully reimbursement into my account from accommodation. Was ideally for me. Received and email referring that I had to pay for the 4 days parking because it was a mistake. I don't pay for mistakes. Many years ago I had worked for a 5 star hotel and many times as courtesy things were given to guests on the house, normal, upgrades for free, free champagne, free massages and so on... First of all the venue is runned by immigrants that don't know most of the civil laws and regulations, all they know it to mentioned its not allowed or that it's not they're policy, but i know the law and I don't get tricked by business policies and slick moves .Was dealing with the matter with some assistant manager 🙄 wannabe that mentioned I had to pay or they would keep my deposit, I said that they could pull that stunt to all the other guests that are half a sleep not to me. Didn't want to deal with this person anymore soo asked for someone with a more understanding and more hierarchy in the venue. Even mentioned I don't speak with the angels I speak with God. After 5 minutes this lady inside came back to the reception. Approach her and money back. Very disappointed with the staff to be honest. There was a few that were great but to be honest there's a lot of racism still amongst what I have seen. Been living in UK for over 30 years and people are much friendliness in customer service. There a saying you pay peanuts you get monkeys and that applies to this situation. Coming to a different country for a better opportunity coming from countries that economically are not that good and after some time they thing they are someone. Don't. Treat people with respect. We are all the same. A bit of racist trends in this hostel by staff and guests. Overall location is OK, experience 👌, cleanliness OK, it has a car park forna tenner a day not to bad. Would I stay here again . Yes. p.s Drop you wannabe behavior overall all you are immigrants mostly with working visas. I'm an UK resident and free transit between EU countries, besides that I'm very approachable and friendly, made me be where I am now, being friendly. Learn something or don't.
