Breakfast here today with my wife. Very average at best. Breakfast burrito was a bit of a let down, scrambled egg didn't taste like much and mushrooms were spongy, peppers were half cold and all lacked seasoning. Wife got chips with hers, bagel which got good report, that were just frozen Dunnes chips. Coffee was almost undrinkable, oat latte and it was horrid. Saving grace was the speed of the service and the affordability, just over 15 quid for 2 breakfasts, in Dublin. Might return but won't be getting coffee or burrito.

A great restaurant in the heart of Ongar restaurant. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. This place is popular with the staff that work locally & the parents collecting their children from the nearby school so it can be difficult to get a table at lunchtime BUT I'd highly recommend a visit. My mum & I love to get the chicken ceasar and the sweet chilli chicken wrap with side salad & fries. Throw in a latte for herself & a mocha for myself. Absolutely yum.

Friendly staff, dog friendly and good food with great portion size. Smoked salmon bagel is my favourite, my dog loves sharing the egg too!

Rendezvous is always a nice simple place to go with family. Reasonably priced, good homely food and usually a decent crowd. Staff are friendly and polite and the kids menu doubles up as a colouring page for the kids. We've two toddlers, one of whom is autistic, but everything we come they've no difficulty finding something to eat and having a nice breakfast.

This is the second time I have come to this restaurant and it has been closed. I have informed the manager last time that their opening hours are wrong on google. I am very unsatisfied as I had to drive 20 mins to get to this restaurant.

Great coffee shop with a big selection of tasty sandwiches, bagels, wraps, salads and cakes, all freshly made, and amazing coffee. Excellent service every time. There is enough seating for maybe 30-40 people, so it can get very busy at times, especially during weekends.

Rendezvous is great. The food is fresh and the portions are generous the coffee is good and the staff are lovely. The cafe has a friendly family atmosphere it's a bit like "cheers" in Ongar people know each other and that tops chain stores for me. I visit regularly and have never been let down .A local Gem.

Nice and friendly service. She was also very accommodating and offered us alternatives to suit our needs. Had the smoked salmon on cream cheese with scrambled eggs and a salad. It was more like a good brunch. Would go back for more.

Going to Rendezvous for the (sometimes more than) daily coffee run is the highlight of my day. Owen, Daniela, Igne and all the staff are so friendly, and always ensure we're well fed and watered to get over the 1pm slump. The food (my personal favourite is the "Lone Ranger", 11/10 would recommend), portion sizes, and value for money is unparalleled. If you're in Ongar be sure to pop in! 😊

Fantastic food, beautifully cooked. Nice home cooking style to the food served here. Staff are very friendly, polite and professional. The set menu is large and offers a wide variety of great choices. This Reviewer's top recommendation is the; "All day breakfast" menu choice, which is excellent, with a great addition of potato bread available on the breakfast menu choices. Something that sadly is all too rare in Ireland. You can select individual items from the menu in order to create your own meal choices if you feel in the mood for something different, combination wise. Prices are reasonable and the food quality, portion size and presentation is excellent. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful, and all food is served fresh, ..and hot food is served piping hot. The building is well lit and clean. The dining area has a relaxing low noise, and very down-to-earth friendly atmophere about it. Theres plenty of free parking nearby on road or in car parks.

This is our local cafe/restaurant. By far the best around. Menu is great, Coffee is great and I'm a big fan of the morning glory bagel. Basically a fry in a bagel. Set for the day. Try it, you won't be disappointed

Local coffee shop in Ongar displaying a wide breakfast and lunch range. There’s a bit for everybody and even healthier options on traditional dishes. Service is very good and turnaround very high! Definitive choice for weekend breakfast and sometimes a very nice apple pie in the afternoon.

Second time there for breakfast , absolutely lovely . My son had porridge, with honey and it came with fresh fruit ( small ) lovely touch, he also had scone and tea, . I had half Irish came with coffee and toast,very tasty . great quality . Coffee gorgeous, my sons girlfriend went for french toast and bacon I think , with coffee. €25.00 for the 3 of us brilliant value for money, staff are lovely very obliging. It was Sunday brunch , waited a couple of minutes for table, place was buzzing, which is a great sign ,well worth it.will be back again and again.

Gem in the centre on Ongar village. If you have a chance to come in here do! The staff are always friendly and welcoming and they suss what your regular is in no time. Their tea and coffee are fantastic. Their food is a straight 10/10 I've tried all their ciabatas at this stage and their all delicious and well priced for what you get. Would happily recommend this place to anyone. Keep it up!
