Absolutely spectacular meal, very friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The meals are well portioned, expertly presented and taste delicious. I had the steak, my partner had the risotto and both were fantastic. I couldn’t possibly praise this place more.

I'd like to start by stating that I'm -NOT- vegetarian/vegan, so this review comes from a person who eats meat very regularly. This was a great experience. As a meat eater, I was quite intrigued to see if all of these substitutes would come close to the original or not, and I was very surprised. The seitan meat tasted so real it was almost scary. Portions are huge, and by huge I mean never ask for more than one dish, unless you get the pancakes. A few of their juices were really delicious as well. Personnel were very kind, but strangely they never took any notes of our order (which was a bit precise with removing and adding available ingredients). This was surprising until they arrived with a mess. Every single dish (except for the pancakes) was wrong, and they also brought the wrong juices. They tried to compensate by giving us the first round of juices for free, which was a nice gesture at least. As for the food, we just manually removed the unwanted ingredients ourselves, as there was no need to trash perfectly good food. All in all, we all enjoyed our dishes very much, and I was really surprised that this was not real meat! While this is absolutely not a 5 star restaurant, I strongly encourage people to try it, especially the non-vegan, it's always good to try to understand the other side of the coin!

Was a place amazing I love the black pudding, I never tried it before and I can say that was spectacular and yummy! ❀ The only thing was that I have a lot of things with oil, like a beacon and black pudding is too much for me, and was difficult to eat. I forgot to ask if I can change the beacon for avocado for a good texture and combinations. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ Please if do you go ask πŸ™ Enjoy and have a lovely time xx

Surprisingly despite knowing of Sova for quite a few years, we only managed to visit it this week. On arrival we were seated upstairs as downstairs was already quite full. The condition and decor upstairs was quite poor. It definitely needs a clean on the walls and some paint. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout which was good. We were a bit disappointed that there were no drink options other than tap water. They did offer corkage for byob but having some non-alcoholic drinks would have been nice. The menu was short but a few options for each course at least. The starters were nice and well presented. Good portion size. The mains (seitan steak) were also presented well but portions were small and it was lacking in flavour. For desert, we had a chocolate roulade and apple pie. The roulade looked well but was quite bland. The apple pie was OK. Overall we agreed that the food was presented well, somewhat overpriced for the portion sizes, quite bland tasting, and the restaurant needs a freshen up. Impression was that not much has been done since they opened and other new restaurants have come since which surpass them. If you care about how your food looks in pictures, this is the place. Aside from that, there are better options in the city.8

Really fun place with lovely and warm service I didn't have a reservation and yet they managed to find me a spot. The seitan was great but a bit dry so I informed the waiter and they gave me the meal for free! It was a bit small and quite pricey. Then I tried the gryos salad which was quite a big portion and it was great! The beet soup was excellent! Great vegan place to try in Dublin!

Phenomenal flavour, generous portions, more than reasonable price! Scallops and salmon dish for starters were delicious, fishy carrot rolls and chewy β€œscallops” with the cheesiest of cream cheese. Not huge starter portions but you need to save space for the mains which are rather impressive! Super flavoursome seitan steak and chicken schnitzels were what we went for and the mushroom dressing for the steak was the highlight. Lovely little roast potatoes and well seasoned mash too. Desert was not too filling which is ideal after such a great main, the mousse was nice but had nothing on the cheesecake. As someone who is regularly disappointed by vegan cheesecakes I wholly endorse this one. Comes in a cute glass bowl with not too much breadcrumb base and although you still get the blended nut texture the cheesy flavour is on point. Staff were friendly, artwork was lovely, music was eclectic. Fine dining made approachable and affordable without skimping on any of the qualityπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Delicious vegan food and nice staff. We had the Gunkan spicy tuna and Edamame, Smoked Tofu sushi and Burrito bowl, and we came back for Vegan Irish breakfast the next day. Everything was delicious!

We had a lovely evening here, the staff was super friendly and the dinner-menu offered a variety of good vegan options, like steak, risotto, pasta (the in previous comments mentioned kebab and gyros seem to be the lunch menu - so come back in the evening ☺️). We brought our own wine, corkage fee is 6€. Overall very charming little resraurant that iβ€˜d recommend.

We were visiting Dublin and were lucky enough to make reservations at this amazing restaurant. The staff were super helpful and the food was out of this world! So glad we opted for the three course meal!

This wasnt my favorite vegan joint in Dublin but it was worth trying. I'm nor sure why the word butcher is in the name. Gave me different expectations. The food was good but didnt blow me away. The proportions were great and I had left overs. The staff and service was fine. Be careful if you're a tourist and park near. Our car was broken into and they stole all my stuff!

Small menu with excellent food. High class vegan alternatives for foodies! Prices are a bit above average but totally worth it. Bring your own alcoholic drinks if you want - no alcohol served ;)

Great selection of food and the portions are really big! Staff are friendly and there's some outdoor seating which is great. You can also bring your own beer/wine as they don't serve any on the premise but you'll be charged a corkage fee.

The "meat" is some of the best I've had and the flavours are spot on.

Very friendly and patient staff (we didn't bring any drink, not realising their was no drink license). Food was fast but very yum and beautifully presented - top restaurant quality. Nonvegan boyfriend was very happy with the seitan steak! Definitely would go back again when next in Dublin!

My wife and I have been there a couple of times, today it was the first time after lockdown. I really enjoyed the food and the restaurant atmosphere, great music play list and fabulous service. If you looking for something different and vegan this is exactly where to go!!
