They cancelled by appt by email the day before it was set to take place, after sending me 5 texts reminding me not to forgot about the appt.. when I rang up to confirm cancellation I was promised a call back from the manager which simply didn’t happen. Awful service

I was well looked after from the moment I arrived for my appointment, I had an eye test and an OCT eye scan as I had a particular problem regarding eye strain and dry eyes. The optician carefully checked everything with me and explained my problem, she suggested eye drops for day and night and glasses. I was then taken to look at frames, the assistant went above and beyond to help me find the ones that suited me best and I was really impressed with her honesty, patience and keen eye. I took advantage of the 'Buy one, Get one free' offer, and after 6 days I was able to collect my new lenses and frames. I have the glasses a week and my eye problems are already much better and I am really delighted with the frames which do actually suit me. I was really impressed with all the staff in Donaghmede as they couldn't do enough for me.

Staff were friendly without being overbearing. There's still COVID measures in place which are irritating if you want to try on glasses.

Prompt service, got an eye test done and they quoted me for glasses.

I have tried ringing them several times today to be told I was being connected and then "sorry can't take your call" and just hang up. God help OAP's who try to get through to them by phone. AD (Donaghmeade S/S) specsavers)

Won't be visiting again. They are money oriented and give you an attidude if you don't buy from them. The female optician is very rude.

I always wanted to use contact lenses cuz my prescription really big and that’s why when use glasses I don’t feel confident cuz it’s really thick. But the other day we ordered contact lenses and I tried them but it was really fuzzy. And James told me, you mustn’t use them when I heard this I was really disappointed and upset. And he really good explained why I cannot use contact lenses then he completely changed my mind. He was really helpful but not only James. Jade was really amazing also, when my glasses were broken she really helped me and kept me calm. The optician(girl) who measured my eyes range and she showed my eye health in detail on her computer she is really nice as well. I used to getting nervous before I go to opticians but now I definitely go to this shop whenever I need. They are really good team! Thanks very much :)

I've tried other places over the years but no one beats Specsavers and even though they have a monopoly there's good reasons for it. I recently had the nose guard fall off a pair of their frames, went in to get it replaced and the very nice lady there removed both, the bits of metal attaching them and replaced with all plastic, softer, more hygienic and less breakable parts. She also tightened the screws in the entire frame and cleaned the lenses all for no charge. She didn't tell me she did all this, I just knew and these frames I've had at least 5 years (that I love) are brand new again. There's nowhere else I'd go cos there's nowhere else offers such exemplary service consistently. Deservedly the best.

Nice ladies, but that is about it. They messed up my glasses, when I complained, I was told that these are new glasses and my eyes need to adjust. It was not enough that I was picking up two pairs and the second one was perfectly fine. I was told to go and my eyes will get used to the new glasses... the other pair had much bigger lenses and were shades, and I was told it would feel different. Obviously my fault, as I should had been more persistent, my eyeballs hurt after seconds of having that first pair on. That filling did not go away. For the price, I would hope for better service. Also, I was told they applied for the PRSI refund for me which I never received. So either they did not apply, messed up the application, or kept money for themselves. For sure I will not be going back.

One of the best shop for the spectacles and eye tests. Make sure you have appointment taken before visiting. Always go here for my son’s glasses, staff is very friendly. You will find good wide range of kids glasses frames.

Best experience yet in an opticians. Value for money without doubt but the staff are the most friendly and helpful I've dealt with. My son needed contact lenses and all his appointments were free. We only had to pay for the actual lenses. Even they were a great deal. Highly recommend.

Fantastic customer service. We dealt with Gerry and Ann who helped us with a prescription for my son's sports goggles. They are great with young kids. Wouldn't go anywhere else :)

Terrible experience my wife took our granddaughter to get glasses after the eye test a nice assistant advised her on frames that would suit her prescription elderly salesman in the suit and told her she need the lenses pared and that would be €80 my wife gave in and got one pair pared. Whe she collected the 2 pairs there was no difference so beware of the man in the suit he's there to sell you something you don't need

Arrived early, as advised, was met at the door and shown to a desk to check in. Left waiting for no more than a few minutes and I was then asked to go through for the first part of the eye exam. Completed that and within minutes I was asked to go through for the second part. Then I was shown around and given help choosing frames that suited me. Staff were absolutely excellent. No waiting, no messing around. Just pure customer centric and everyone I spoke with was superb.

I needed spectacles just for reading novels and newspapers and I was very pleased with the result.

My 6 year old girl needed an extensive eye test and eventually needed glasses. I could not ask for more from the staff they were so kind to her and really made what as a nervy experience for Ellie very comfortable. Thank you all so much

Very poor assistance over the phone with simple enquiry. Representative did not have the knowledge to assist or the will to help. I had left voicemail previously on the same matter but didn't receive a call back.
