I've been a member for over 7 years, The good: The equipment is built great, There are a lot of weight plates, Nice Astro Area , Good supply of foam rollers, med balls, boxes, The lockers work great, It's clean, the staff have always been great to me, The Bad, At peak times it's unusable, too crowded, There can be classes in the astro area that can limit your workout, There is no padding on the safety squat bar and it destroys your shoulders. (they are VERY slow to replace stuff like this, It's been 3 years and no padding on it!!!) Also please get people to stop working out in the sled lanes unless they are sledding or doing farmers walks. Sometimes people sit in the way. AND BY FAR THE WORST THING IS THE 7:30PM CLOSING TIME ON WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS!!! That's the ONLY reason I am giving it 1 star. It's the most irritating thing in the world. It means at 6:30pm the gym is crammed with everyone trying to workout before closing. And you get shouted at from 7:10pm onwards !! I counted about 30+ people in the gym today at 7:00pm. That means if you want a good workout at the weekend you need to go at 5PM!!! SOME OF US HAVE LIVES . IT MEANS IF YOU HAVE ANY COMMITMENTS ON THE WEEKEND OR BANK HOLIDAY YOU WILL HAVE A TERRIBLE RUSHED WORKOUT :( PLEASE , I BEG YOU OPEN THE GYM UNTILL 9PM ON WEEKENDS . I WILL PAY MORE MEMBERSHIP . PLEASE!!!

Great gym. Has every type of equipment you need. I recommend going between 1-3pm. I was there for about 5 hours and that's when I noticed the crowd dwindle down a little bit. I love that they have day passes and a huge discount if you do 3 days. Highly recommend. It's also walking distance to temple bar as well as many restaurants.

The place has gone downhill. I’m a member for the last 10 years. 1. Machines are dirty with a thick layer of grease and dirt. The dirt is covering the plates too. 2. Some treadmills are out of order. 3. Extremely busy and long waiting times for machines. 4. No longer a 24 hour gym which is pretty disappointing. 5. Plenty of water leaks all over the gym floor. 6. Card access almost always fails and requires assistance to get in… wasting time waiting for staff to open the gate and give you access. The staff are friendly though. Please bring back the 24 hour opening hours.

[EDIT] They still haven’t properly cleaned the men’s changing room, The mould is so bad that bags left in lockers started growing mould because the lockers never get cleaned out, look at the video below (hiding the locker number so they don’t just clean that single one) Place is either too cold or too warm, smells like a sewer constantly, the ceiling in the men’s changing room looks like dirty cotton with the amount of mould growing on it and the urinal mats haven’t been changed in ages, to the point where they’ve gotten mouldy (never even knew they could ever go mouldy) and they also reek. gym is pretty big and peak times aren’t that bad. waiting for benches and machines doesn’t really happen often.

Very poorly maintained equipment, some items not repaired for years to a point of health hazard. In winter heating not working, although it appears it is not broken - bring your puffer jacket. In summer place like a sauna - no ventilation and air-con. Cot webs and dust on many machines. Men’s changing room smells like sewer - no ventilation. Toilet seats are broken. Very poor and disrespectful attitude towards customers by senior management. This gym is a sad example of neglect. Multiple complaints lodged on matters above - most ignored for a very long time. Shame. Staff on the floor are lovely and professional. p.s. we no longer have pigeons in the gym, as they have migrated due to lack of heating...

Used to be 24 hours which suited flexible working schedules especially for shift workers. Now it's constantly busy in the evenings, not worth the money.

Edit: revising to 2*. Heaters on when it is sunny and no ventilation. No towels encouraged enforced. What you have is a sweaty gym woth zero hygiene. PLEASE TAKE THIS ON BOARD. Turn the heaters off in the summer, build in some windows, keep door open. Pretty good gym. Very busy at 7.30am-8.30am, people rarely wipe down machines which is frustrating, very few bring a towel - advising on better gym etiquette would be great. Water fountains are slower than a legless turtle, showers / changing rooms are very stuffy. Cable machines are hard to get on, but lots of pull up bars / squat racks / benches. Lots of leg work out machines, big empty area for core etc.

I love the equipment in this gym! Some have told me it gets mad busy after work and you have to queue for machines but I always go late or at the weekend so that doesn't matter much to me. Other points to consider are that the skylights look really grimy and would let in a lot more light in if they were professionally cleaned, but that's the only real con for me. The gym floor is clean and full of well maintained equipment, so that's all I really care about!

Good gym but always pretty busy. The bikes all need a bit of a service and are in average condition but largely the gym has all you need, getting a bit expensive though with three price increases in about a year.

Location and staff are the saving graces for Macken Street. Crumlin gym is brighter, warmer, cleaner, kit and equipment is in great condition - yes obviously because its newer. But there is no excuse for Flyefit owners not to invest in the Macken Street gym building and new equipment to bring it up to par with their other branches ... it is unfair on the loyal and dedicated local gym members to endure such a poor standard facility

Machines, layout, and équipement is awesome and as expected from a warehouse gym. 3 stars because we were exercising in gloves and puffer jackets since the place isn’t heated much

Always 30 unused cardio machines and zero available squat racks… so your typical gym basically, plus extra bad smelling locker room and no dumbbell rack labels so that’s an absolute mess too

The worst gym I've ever came across in the entire world. (This includes places like Mexico and Asia...) The machines are falling apart. The temperature is freezing which is dangerous for your muscles. The getting-in process is a catastrophic... I rather pay more for a better quality service than coping with the stress at Flye Fit.

Flyefit has taken on so many subscriptions that over the one month I was signed up for I found not a single availablity that I could arrange with my schedule. If you have a day time job there is no point in signing up with Flyefit, massive waste if money!

It's okay. Used to love this gym. I don't hate it though. Pretty cold in winter (heaters don't really work). Only a few people bring their towels, wiping equipment is already passé. I would definitely improve cleaning - spiderweb pretty scary, gents lockers stinky, equipment super dusty...

Large training area . Good value for money. You have there all you need for workout. Take in mind you will have to pay (a day pass or a monthly membership )online ,since it’s a self service gym(you open the door with your Visa card). I gave only 4 of 5 stars because I was happy to see the place cleaner. In the ceiling on the lamps there is a lot of dust and it is not pleasant when you practice to get some dust in your face. But overall I am pleased from the place and I will recommend going there

Cleanliness is non existent, dumbbells stacked however you please, basically a treasure hunt to find the weights you're looking for. Equipment, for the most part, is due for an overhaul.

A lot of space, not crazy crowded in the afternoon/evening. It could be a lot cleaner though, with spider webs everywhere hanging from the ceiling and not very clean bathrooms.

Very big gym with lots of equipment. Very difficult to know where the classes take place a not a member of staff in sight. The roof feels like it will crumble at any point and the dustiest fans in existence along with it. There are much nicer flyefits I must say this one needs a revamp

Great gym and have been going since it opened. Loads of equipment which is upgraded frequently. Deducted a star as the change from 24 hours to open/close times has made it more difficult to go and made it busier.

Decent equipment. Good boxing bags. Cleanliness is poor ( but to be fair it's hard to gym a gym tidy with so many people in every day) . Bathroom and showers aren't very clean. Toilets and showers appear to be not working at least 1 day a week ive been there. Also a weird sewage smell.. It is what it is, a cheap gym but good for training in the locality.

Arguably the worst gym in Dublin (or even Ireland). Don’t mistake the 8 year old cobwebs for the existence of Spider-Man inside. They WILL NOT turn on the heating, no matter what. No place to even warm up after 5 PM. Not so bad staff. Low price. Lower quality. Great place for mental training since you fear heavy machines might malfunction while you’re working out on them because they’re super worn out and out dated. Atleast 15 years old.

Excellent value for money, lots of option in terms of classes and I haven't had any issues with lack of availability due to classes being booked quickly. Really friendly and down to earth staff. You can't fault it for the price!

Used to be a good gym before Covid. Since then, they just went insane. It is normal now. that they have a reduced working time of gym (no more 24h gyms). Obviously it looks like its just more lucrative for them but on the other side the gyms are packed with so many people in the evenings. Furthermore, they established a booking system from hell (the guy who developed this should be in jail!!!!). If your are a few minutes late to log in the booking system, the slots are full. So basically you pay for nothing (SCAM). You need to have no brain, no eyes, no ears to develop a system like this. They promised to remove the awful booking system until 18th of july but this were only empty promises. Still everything the same. Gym was ok before Covid, now shame on you!

This is an absolutely wonderful (and large) gym with a huge selection of machines, free-weights, squat racks, cardio machines as well as a turf CrossFit area. My favorite aspect is the classes (free with membership). I have been able to do some excellent strength and cardio based classes with Amy and Fernando. They are both positive, motivating and incredibly welcoming to all attendees. Highly recommended!

Good gym with a great selection of equipment and classes. All the trainers, are lovely, and are lead by a really good manager ,Derek. He knows everyone's name and always has a few mins to say hello.

After the card system was changed to App Qr code it is impossible to get in. You are obligate to download the App to be allowed to work out. Usually I don't bring my mobile with me to the gym.Yesterday I waste my time going there, because the staff didn't allowed me or the other members to get in unless we have the app. They didn't send a email or any notification about it. It is a really dumb system when you have to download an app. Unbelievable!!

Tried most of the gym in the centre, nothing beats this gym, one big open floor space, equipment is decent, and if you find the proper time slots, not too crowded neither.

  • 3/5 Liliia K. 2 years ago on Google
Has all the essentials, however it is extremely cold inside. I have to work out wearing some warmer layers, otherwise my muscles would get cold quickly leading to injuries. The weightlifting area is a bit worse compared to some other Flyefits I've been to. Otherwise has what is needed to get the job done.

  • 1/5 Colly B. 1 year ago on Google
Quite poor even for a Flyefit. Both urinals were leaking and stank. None of the ten or so crosstrainers had power. Staff were completely missing when I had a question about one of the machines. Not one aerobic step. The CHQ is far better and will be staying there in future.

  • 4/5 Silvano S. 2 years ago on Google
price value is very good. equipment is a bit meh but if you dont need the newest and best theres a big variety. they have 8 powerracks and some additional squat stands which is nice. surprisingly there is 1 eleiko wl bar while the rest of the bars range from mediocre to garbage. plates are random but do their job.

  • 4/5 Eve C. 2 years ago on Google
Great equipment, staff are amazing, but it's a bit cold. So you need to get working quickly 😀

  • 3/5 yogesh m. 2 years ago on Google
Bit crowded in the evening. Also now it used to close at 10 PM which means not 24/7 like it was previously even post covid. So that there is little bit disappointment with management.

  • 1/5 Jack C. 1 year ago on Google
No card no access policy. I was refused entry today even though I was a paying customer. They also reduced operating hours and rised the membership price.

  • 5/5 Marina B. 1 year ago on Google
In my opinion the best gym in the area if you like bodybuilding. They have all the machinery needed, including all cardio options as well. Super spacious. Extra friendly staff that helps you with all you need. Girls bathroom hyper clean. It's not a fancy gym. It's the gym you go to build a physique, not take selfies. And in my opinion, that's 5 stars.

  • 3/5 Robert M. 1 year ago on Google
Positives: Much bigger, spacious and more cardio and weight machines, not to mention much larger changing rooms and shower facilities than the nearby CHQ. Negatives: a lot of the equipment is old, in disrepair and/or outdated. Throughout the entire winter the gym has been freezing, making it difficult to enjoy your workout.

  • 2/5 Derval T. 1 year ago on Google
This branch looks very much like warehouse, but there are plenty of machines. The bathrooms and lockers are modern. I've been going for two months and the showers have been out of order twice. Today there were buckets all over the floor because it had rained today. Not the best gym experience. UPDATE: This may actually be the worst branch of FlyeFit available. Last week, temperatures on the gym floor were essentially the same as the outside temp. I didn't sweat a drop through my workout and I everyone's breath was visible. Today it's a warmer day, so of course there was no hot water in the showers. I know this is a basic gym membership, but it's really a disgrace.

😠 The facilities are amazing and there is an amazing range of equipment available but unfortunately that's as far as it gets.
