No space in the bedroom (three bed in a bedroom for one), we have to use one bathroom for 8 people. See the photo. I think this should be enough.

Let me recount my unforgettable time at Gateway Student Village, where every step of the journey was nothing short of "unique." The admission process was an exhilarating race against time, with only three hours to secure a spotβ€”certainly an interesting approach to decision-making! As for the deposit, they demanded a hefty 400 euros upfront, even before confirming the reservation. It's one way to ensure full commitment, I suppose, though some might find it a bit unorthodox. Upon entering the apartment, I was greeted with a distinct touch of mold on walls and ceilings, creating a charmingly avant-garde atmosphere. The minimalist vibe was further enhanced by some missing furniture, adding an artistic touch to the living space. The blinds had their own sense of timing, choosing not to function for a month, giving passersby a unique view of our interior design. Privacy, after all, is overrated. While the rent was on the higher side, the experience of living with a "personal sauna" due to leaks and humidity made it all worthwhile. Who needs a spa membership when you can have it right at home? The alarm buzzer constantly going off and maintenance staff's unexpected visits brought a touch of action movie excitement to our daily lives. In conclusion, Gateway Student Village offers a "memorable" experience filled with unconventional charm and unexpected surprises. It's not for everyone, but if you crave an adventure in living arrangements, this might just be the place for you.

Stayed here in 2019 amd in 2021. The place is generally fine and has what you need. However I would highly recommend that anyone new asks to pay they're rent monthly. The website asks you to pay per semester but this is a way to hold you for longer than you need to stay as your lease is until the middle of May but most course finish in April. Everyone should know that you are entitled a refund on your deposit and no longer have to pay rent if you give them 30 days notice that you are moving out. I highly recommend everyone takes this approach so you are not paying for an apartment you are staying in.

Let me share my disappointing experience at Gateway Student Village, where every aspect of my stay left much to be desired. The admission process was an absolute nightmare, with a rushed response time that added unnecessary stress during an already challenging period of searching for accommodation. To secure a place, they insisted on a non-refundable 400 euros deposit before confirming the reservation. It felt unfair and manipulative to pay such a substantial amount without any guarantee of securing a spot. Upon moving in, I was met with a less-than-ideal living situation. The presence of mold on the walls, ceilings, and window edges was a health concern and contributed to an unpleasant living environment. The lack of proper furniture only added to the discomfort, leaving me with a space that felt incomplete and uninviting. The blinds being non-functional for a month was an invasion of privacy, especially for a ground-floor apartment. The management's indifference to this issue was disheartening and showed a lack of care for their tenants' well-being. The overall value for the high rent was sorely lacking. With exorbitant utility costs, inadequate heating, and poorly insulated windows, it was difficult to justify the steep price tag. The malfunctioning laundry facilities only added to the frustration and inconvenience. The persistent leaks and humidity problems were not only detrimental to the apartment but also negatively affected my health and living experience. The lack of timely and proper maintenance exacerbated these issues, leading to a constant state of discomfort and dissatisfaction. The incessant alarm buzzer in the common areas disrupted my peace and sleep for four months, leading to unnecessary stress and irritation. The maintenance staff's unannounced entries into my apartment were a breach of privacy and left me feeling uncomfortable and unsafe in my own home. The staff's dismissive and condescending attitude towards the problems we faced was deeply disappointing. Their lack of empathy and willingness to address legitimate concerns only added to the overall negative experience. In conclusion, my time at Gateway Student Village was filled with regret and frustration. The issues I encountered were substantial and could have been avoided with better management and care for their tenants. I strongly advise against considering this residence for anyone seeking a positive and comfortable living experience during their time as a student.

I've spent 2 years in Gateway and am returning next year once again. Very comfortable and spacious apartments with fantastic wifi and heating. John and Peter are very friendly and approachable. I have never experienced any trouble during my time there and the staff are committed to making Gateway even more student friendly over the coming months. Would recommend to any students in North Dublin area. Keep up the great work!

I Can assure to everybody that I have been in this residence for a month and it is fantastic. It is ideally situated, and it is perfect for a group of students. I would like to point the outstanding service all my students had. The rooms are spacious, airy , lightly and cozy. Every apartment has a sitting room. The apartments are really clean and the owners were extremely dedicated and actively involved having in mind every single detail to make our stay delightful. .Another important point, I felt like if We were at home. The residence is very safe. Definitly I will go back and I would like to recommend to everyone. It is the best place for students and tourists!

Gateway Student Village surpassed all expectations that I had before I arrived here in Mid - September. From the friendly owners to the spacious apartments and even to the fantastic additional services like the vending machines and rented car services, GSV is honestly a great place to live. It's only a ten minute walk to DCU and there's a bus stop just outside the door for those on the St. Pats campus or further afield. When standing in the middle of the courtyard it's extremely easy to forget that it's a student accommodation village and not blocks of top-end apartments in the city centre. I truly enjoyed my experience in GSV and would recommend it to not only incoming first years but also older undergraduates.

I feel compelled to share my honest and unfiltered experience during my time at Gateway Student Village, and I must admit that it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the very beginning, the admission process left me feeling incredibly pressured. I was given an absurdly tight 3-hour window to respond to secure my place, or else risk losing it altogether. This tactic was manipulative and added unnecessary stress to an already tense situation. To add insult to injury, the management insisted on receiving a non-refundable 400 euros deposit upfront as a so-called "cautionary measure" before confirming my reservation. This policy struck me as highly questionable, as I had not even secured my spot yet. It felt like a blatant attempt to take advantage of eager students seeking accommodation in this challenging housing market. Upon moving in, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment. The state of the apartment was appalling. There were visible patches of mold on the windows, walls, and ceilings, creating an unpleasant and unhealthy living environment. Furthermore, several essential pieces of furniture were missing, leaving me with a disproportionately sparse and uncomfortable living space. One of the most distressing issues was the malfunctioning blinds. As my apartment was situated on the ground floor, the lack of functional blinds meant that my privacy was compromised, and I constantly felt exposed to passersby. Despite numerous complaints, the maintenance team seemed to dismiss the matter as trivial, refusing to address it promptly. The overall quality of the accommodation did not justify the exorbitant rent I was paying. I understand that Dublin's housing crisis has driven prices up, but that should not excuse the management from providing subpar services and amenities. The utilities were incredibly expensive, and the heating system was woefully inadequate for a building with such poor insulation. This resulted in high energy bills and discomfort throughout my stay. Adding to my grievances, the laundry facilities were in a perpetual state of disrepair, making it almost impossible to keep my clothes clean. Additionally, there were persistent leaks in the apartment, which, combined with the humid climate, resulted in an unhealthily damp living space. The mold infestation only worsened over time, negatively impacting my health and well-being. To top it all off, an incessant alarm buzzer plagued the common areas for four long months, disrupting our sleep and forcing us to intervene manually several times a day. The intrusion into our privacy by the maintenance staff, who entered without warning or permission, further added to the sense of violation and discomfort. Throughout my stay, I encountered a consistently unhelpful and dismissive staff. Their attitude towards the numerous issues was callous, and their response to our complaints left much to be desired. I was shocked to hear them suggest that if I wasn't satisfied with the conditions, I should consider staying at a 5-star hotel instead. In conclusion, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Gateway Student Village to anyone seeking accommodation in Dublin. My experience was filled with disappointment, frustration, and discomfort. The management's disregard for the well-being of their tenants and their apparent lack of concern for the living conditions made this one of the worst housing experiences I've ever had. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for a more suitable and respectful place to call home. I never put bad review on google but this residence was so bad I prefer warning everyone.

Gateway has improved so much in the past two years and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone studying in Dublin! I stayed here in 2014 and wasn't in love, but the management have really stepped it up. If you have any problems, someone from maintenance is in that day to fix it and they're always helpful and friendly! The heating is great, no bills to worry about, and I love how easy the washing/drying facilities are to use (you don't need loads of change, just an app!). I'm so impressed with all the effort they've gone to in order to make Gateway the best experience possible, 100% recommend

I had a fantastic smooth experience in gateway with no problems at all. The facilities here are amazing including the wash room, the cheap vending machines, and the general apartment area. They were very easy going with regards to visitors staying over. The staff and owners were very friendly and welcoming from day one. They happily solved any problems that any of the students may have had. The apartment is very spacious and luxurious which is a bonus for students. The shop and pizza shop across the road is so convenient also to pick up essentials. The guarda station is next door which makes me feel very safe within the grounds

Good location, only a 10 minute walk or 3 minute cycle from DCU. The apartments themselves are high quality with ample room to study, better than most student accommodation in the area. The staff are helpful and will take care of any problems in your apartment, and John Russel and the night guard (also named John) are very friendly and approachable. There is also a good range of amenities in the complex including a washing room, vending machine and bike repair station.

the manager was quite friendly cheerful rooms in excellent condition the building had a safe house feeling and the place was suitable for students. The rooms were clean as the common kitchen and living room. Is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to stay in such a place and is a student has a kitchen lounge salon and it's all done. Mike was an extraordinary person who helped us when we needed it, he was always there for us and he's always happy and eager and always willing for whatever we asked him. Thanks for all ❀️

I had a fantastic year staying in Gateway. The apartments are spacious and modern with comfortable bedrooms with big wardrobes and desks which makes it a perfect place to study. There is also great WIFI, a wash room and a supermarket just across the road. It's a great place to make friends and there's always a really good atmosphere. The management were always very helpful and friendly and sorted out any problems we had during the year. It is a very safe environment and there is a lovely security guard on the gate every night.

I had a great experience in Gateway. We were provided with great facilities and the staff were always so helpful. It was so convenient for us as it was close to campus and it was great opportunity to meet new people.

Really enjoyed my time staying at Gateway student village. Was really close to college and very accessible to the city centre. Apartment had everything I’d need and never had any problems with it.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Gateway Student Village, and I must say that my experience left much to be desired. While the idea of purpose-built student accommodation seemed promising, the execution fell short in several critical areas. Firstly, the condition of the washrooms was quite disappointing. They lacked the upgraded infrastructure and hygiene. The showers had mold and mildew, which is not only unhygienic but also unpleasant to encounter. The lack of proper ventilation exacerbated the issue, leaving a lingering odor that was hard to ignore. Additionally, the kitchen infrastructure was outdated and in dire need of an upgrade. The appliances were old and unreliable, making meal preparation a frustrating task. The sink, in particular, was in poor condition, making dishwashing a cumbersome and time-consuming chore. Furthermore, the overall infrastructure of Gateway Student Village fell short of expectations. The common areas lacked proper maintenance, and outdated decor. Another significant concern was the exorbitant rent charged for the subpar amenities provided. Considering the shortcomings in the facilities, the pricing seemed unjustifiably high. Lowering the rent would make Gateway Student Village a more reasonable option for students seeking affordable accommodation. In conclusion, my experience at Gateway Student Village was satisfactory and good because of the good friends I have made. The substandard washrooms, outdated kitchen infrastructure, and inadequate overall infrastructure failed to meet the expectations of a comfortable and conducive living environment. Lowering the rent and investing in necessary upgrades and maintenance would greatly enhance the value and appeal of this student accommodation facility. Overall, it is okay - recommended but not anybody's dream place or something. Rent is okay for most people but could be lowered considering a few drawbacks and less services. Ballymun area is unsafe so students are advised to be cautious when going out at nights or coming back.

I absolutely loved it here. The WiFi is brilliant. The rooms are very spacious as are the lounges and kitchens! You have easy access to a wide range of amenities, such as Supervalu supermarket, doctor, chemist, laundry room, gym, swimming pool, and fast food places all within a two minute walk. City center bus stops outside. Gateway also has bikes on site that you can use and leave at DCU, check them out they are called bleeper bikes. DCU is only a fifteen minute walk away or 5 minutes downhill on a bike. The staff are sound, but just make sure you don't smoke on site, they have a zero tolerance to smoking. I agree with it, but some get pissed off. Anyway in general I highly recommend Gateway.
