Had a lovely time staying here and I plan to come back soon. The room Was comfortable, clean and with great facilities. The hotel is just around the corner from O'Connell street and quite close to the ferry port. The breakfast was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful especially one who went above and beyond the call of duty to help me with a problem regarding my return home. Fantastic 10/10

Clean old style hotel with decent Irish breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful - replacing bedside light at 1030 at night. Only downside was 50 plus stair climb to second floor with an 18 kg suitcase - no lifts!

Super dirty. Can't describe the conditions of the carpet... we arrived a 2am asking for late check out and the cleaner came in at 12. The receptionist was very rude asking for money straight away instead of giving us information first. There is no lift but no one was helping us carring up the bags to the second floor when we had a new born baby with us. Overly priced. It doesn't have anything to do with an hotel. It could be a bed and breakfast ( an horrible one). We check out today.

Do not recommend at all. The smell I can't even figure out what it is!! It hits you the moment you enter. Carpets unclean, rooms way too small for a 100$ a night, and staff unfriendly and rude. Breakfast was AWFUL! my baby sister could make better scrambled eggs than what they did, one which we waited for for more than 30 min while asking repeatedly for it as we had a flight to catch. You gotta work on your management!!!

Location was great. Staff were lovely. But hotel room drawers were broken. We couldn't close our bedroom window as the latches were broken. There was a breeze in the window all night. But heating in room helped. Rooms need some TLC

I ended up moving here unexpectedly after prior arrangements fell through. I agree that the rooms need a bit of a makeover, but mine was more or less acceptable for the price point. The staff was super friendly -- reception was always eager to help and remembered me from visit to visit, remembered and followed up on prior conversations, etc. The breakfast did not cost too much and was quite tasty, especially compared to what you normally get in hotels. The location was excellent -- pretty quiet street, but in easy-to-moderate walking distance of your major sightseeing destinations. The walls, however, were a little bit thin, but not unbearably so (most of what I heard was doors opening and closing).

Staff is good and helpful. So one star for them. Extremely well located close to writers museum so another star for that. Very old hotel with no lifts so one has to carry luggage all the way up. No amenities in the room. No telephone for ringing the reception. They have breakfast and tea and coffee is free at the reception 24 / 7. Carpets are stained. No toiletries and thermostat in water shower not efficient. WiFi signal very low on the third floor . Works well on the ground floor though

Aww I like this place, it's an old Georgian building, so no lifts or power showers or snazzy lobbies but it was an IRA headquarters in the war of Independence. Michael Collins and Kitty Kiernan could have stayed in my room. They're not making any more of these, enjoy them while you can. Besides, it's clean, cheap, really central (which is why it was an IRA headquarters) breakfast is good and staff are nice....
