What an experience!! We stayed at Harvey's guest house for a couple of days in December and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet... everything we wanted. The house is so full of history and Robert, our host, made it an experience we will never forget. Harveys is also perfectly situated with just a short walk to Dublins main street. Highly recommended

I stayed here for a week in April of 2022--and figured I should probably write a review. I was traveling solo and the small room at the top of the B&B. Everything was clean, the bed was cozy, the staff was friendly, and folded my pajamas when they cleaned my room. (Did feel a bit weird about that.) The view wasn't spectacular, but I could see the edge of the black church, and could spy some birds in the lot below from time to time. Downtown Dublin is within walking distance and there were a few coffee shops, a corner store, and a few vegan spots nearby. Buses are close as well. I read somewhere that the neighborhood was a little seedy, and a local there told me the same, but as a solo female traveler from a U.S. city...I felt fine. I did try to be in my room by 10pm.

Have stayed at Harvey's Guesthouse many times and would not stay anywhere else when visiting Dublin. Cozy and comfortable in a perfect location to explore the city on foot. Also a long established family run guesthouse. Nicholas and Robert have welcomed me like family over the years as well. Highly recommend.

This guesthouse is perfect for anyone who wants a cosy, homely touch. The owner and her son are warm, wonderful and really good at what they do. The location is great in that it's close to the city centre but not too close as to be disturbing at night. I didn't have the breakfast as I actually had a severe toothache at the time I stayed but it sounds extremely reasonable at 8 euros. I would definitely recommend Harvey's and I will be returning here next time I'm in Dublin!

I spend a few nights here a couple of years ago but never wrote a review. So why am I doing it now? Because of the nostalgia I guess and because I always felt bad not giving these people the review they deserve. Honestly, the hotel itself is good. The rooms are what you pay for. Not luxurious, but clean, decent rooms. All you really need. What really outstanding is that they have single rooms for single travellers. The location is decent, not directly in the city center so there isn't so much noise, but close enough to walk there within 10 minutes or so. But the specialy of this house is the service and hospitality of the owners. They are so friendly and will help you with anything. When I had troubles getting to the train station they were so kind to drive me there themselves. I have never been to another hotel with so friendly people. Thanks for the time back then, I hope you are doing alright.

Absolutely deplorable customer service by Nicholas. Clearly stated in the booking I will be arriving late and he wanted to charge 10 euro per hour for waiting up! The booking was confirmed and he insisted that if I don't pay the 50 euros extra for the late arrival he wanted me to get out of the property. This was at 12:30 a.m. after a long flight. I would understand if he lives somewhere else but when it's shown in the booking it will be a late arrival and all he had to do was walk down some stairs and show me to the room, money was more important than service. Apparently it states it in the fine print. There is no mention of this anywhere apart from check-in times. So much for wanting to support small business. Clearly Nicholas is only interested in money and customer service or a sense of humanity comes second. Would avoid at all costs!!

The owner is very friendly and helpful, the accommodation is nice and the room was larger than expected even, only a few minutes walk from city centre so that's a big plus as well, I definitely recommend staying here!

Unfortunately, there was no single room left for four people. However, I wanted to highlight the excellent service, especially from Nicholas. They at least made an effort to find a solution and the e-mail exchange was quick. That's why I still gave it five stars. Maybe it will work out for the next visit to Dublin.

The perfect B&B. Great location within walking distance to city centre. Rooms clean, well maintained, easy access WiFi and great décor. Close to shops, pubs, and restaurants.

Really enjoyed my stay at Harvey's. Super clean, cosy, quiet, and within reasonable walking distance of the city centre. Staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful, eg. with regards recommendations for dining, parking, etc. Wouldn't hesitate to book here again for a longer stay, as the location and service are great.

This is my second visit here within a year and this time around it was with my family. The lady who owns this place Eilish is a wonderful human being who is very caring and made us feel as if it's our own home. She is kind and hospitable and went out of her way to make our stay memorable. This is where I will stay on my next visit to Dublin and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Nice rooms, a bit old fashioned but cozy. Some things need to be fixed (a little loose handle on the door, Cracks in the corners of the wall, hole in the bathroom door after a new shower) but still clean. You need 5-10 minutes by foot into town and the hosts are lovely. They gave us very good inside tipps for Dublin!

Ideal location for getting around Dublin to see the sites. Would happily come back. Only downfall was couldn't connect to the WiFi from the bedroom. 👍
