It is inside an old building, has plenty of seating and a cosy environment. The coffee wasn’t the best but was reasonably good. The best thing was that they had too many cake and snack options and they all looked so tempting and delicious.. I would absolutely come back for having some cake🍰

Convenient location if you want a quick bite or grab a coffee. The place is a huge and you will find somewhere to sit. Unfortunately, the day I visited it was a little dirty and the tables were not cleaned.

Lovely place to sit and enjoy your coffee on your tour around Dublin greatest sites. Bit busy, but quite a few places to sit, and it's historical building so you can expect fireplaces and beautiful stucco on the ceiling. Few really fab photo options!

I would like tobmake a complaint about a very rude and arrogant female member of staff today she was so rude to myself and my girlfriend would not recommend here. I feel as someone who works with the public you need to employ staff that are qualified in that.

Today, a group I am traveling with went to this coffee shop and spent 200+ euros on coffee. We walked across the street to look in the bookstore. When we returned, the lady with red hair was very rude when we were trying to go downstairs to sit and use the toilet. When we explained to her that we were paying customers, she let us go. A few minutes later, she came back downstairs and very rudely said “I thought y’all were using the toilet, not coming down to sit.” and stormed off before we could respond. When we passed her walking out, she shook her head at us and turned around to talk to her coworkers about us. Easily the rudest person I have met in my time in Dublin. Do not recommend.

Awful, just go anywhere else. First disappointment, one of our group works for costa and should've received a discount which was refused with the statement "We don't accept/use the international app" so Costa is not international. Secondly, there is a bathroom which requires a code which was locked, we stayed for about 20 minutes. The downstairs was blocked off since it was raining and it wouldn't have worked since it is not handicap accessible. I asked twice about the bathroom, they said to use the code. No one is in there, or...they're sleeping or the code didn't work. Tried five times different ways and it turned green like it should open. Either way, the experience put me off the coffee so even that tasted worse. Support local, go small with so many charming cafes nearby. Don't ever go to Costa.

Nice coffee shop and good food options 👌. Their pasta is delicious and hot chocolate is a must try. They have seating at basement also. Location is great it is next to grafton street and near luas and bus stop.

I wish this beautiful interior would be used for a better purpose than this capitalist monstrosity. I was also very disappointed with the service - even tho I was staying, I got my tea in a to-go paper cup (unnecessary waste) and they put milk in it before the tea could brew :(

I am so shocked and still can’t believe it! Such an unfriendly employee (feminin, short brown hair & Dr. martens)… I had to go to the toilet really urgently and wanted to buy myself a coffee afterwards. But they do have a strict policy: Buy first and then use the toilet! Not a problem in itself, but the way she said it didn't work at all! Suuuuper unfriendly - worst coffee experience in Dublin. Never ever again and definitely not recommended 👎🏼

The treats and drinks are absolutely divine...I and the wife had the lemon tarts as well as I had a Chai Latte, whilst the wife had a Cappuccino...it was all very nice and tasty...😝🤘🤘😝

I’m Asian. Don’t know if it is racism, when I ordered iced americano at the counter and asked for full iced(because they never put ice in ice americano), the young cashier lady looked super shocked and annoyed… finally gave me a coffee with 1/3 ice. I’m very disappointed and unhappy with the service.

Coffee was good. After you get your coffee you go to find a table and people are hogging tables with laptops doing their daily tasks and no intention of moving. One person would occupy larger tables making it difficult to find somewhere to sit or ask to share. Tables that weren't in laptop use ALL had dirty dishes with no one clearing except the customers. Coffee was great, just not the sit in experience and it was well staffed we were there on a Saturday

Quick meal with a pal. It could be more difficult to find a table because of the impressive setting. Coffee is typical for this type of establishment. It was a tasty cake. Here, we had a terrific time. The bill seemed a little on the pricier side.

Oh dear! The toilet on the ground floor was in a shocking state. Great coffee, tea, and bites. But something needs to be done about that toilet.

Ideal stop before or after a visit to Trinity College and The Book of Kells. Caramel Macchiato and Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake were delicious 😋

OK, very busy - staff very pushy and unfriendly, treated me like an inconvenience while ordering my cappuccino. It was a very rushed and pretty unpleasant experience. I don't think I'll be returning. Fine if you're a student at Trinity and want a coffee rather desperately.

A very impressive looking building, I've never been to such a fancy looking coffee shop. It's very pristine. The coffee is good, but a little pricey. There's not many places to sit either.

A wonderful cafe right near Trinity College, Costa Coffee Dawson was a place to rest for a bit before adventuring more into the city. A great short stop if you need a break and some amazing coffee too! Highly recommend for people who are looking for a chill place to relax!

Lovely Costa in a really nice building. Prices are average coffee shop prices and staff are lovely. Toilet is clean and service was good.

Situated in an impressive, beautiful building, this Costs is special. A short walk from Kilkenny design & on route to the National Art Gallery, it's a quiet Haven for a cup of coffee & snack in a old world design, almost like a gentleman's club. Comfy armchairs & plenty of private space, make sure to check out downstairs. It has an atmosphere all if it's own, everyone chills and relaxes in this generous space, a hidden gem if you want to get some quiet time on your computer or just read. Live the place !

Coffee good, atmosphere good but the background music is terrible. Please play something relaxing or non intrusive, anything other than annoying pop music like Spice Girls, Rihanna etc!

Great friendly staff and great seating place Ideal location and prices are pretty reasonable. They're strictly following the covid regulations. Definitely recommended if you're looking to take a break

Have literally never had an enjoyable experience when I've gone here which is seldom because anytime I go back, they remind me why I never visit. I went there with one friend for coffee and although I bought a drink he wouldn't let my friend sit down with me without ordering himself, and when he tried to order he got increasingly aggravated and slammed down one of the kitchen bins and started raising his voice at us asking us to leave. Even with covid guidelines I've never seen a place refuse seating to someone in the group who didn't order.

It was such a good place, but now with the rude “guardian of the toilet” (the girl with red hair) it’s the worst one in Dublin. On 6th month of pregnancy you can’t go to toilet firstly and than by coffee, so I ended up going to toilet with two cups and a croissant going down by stairs while pregnant 🤰 hope management of this place will have a look at the rudest lady I’ve ever met in Dublin

Love this place but it’s so annoying that the company/managers force the staff on the till to upsell every single customer extra things in your coffee (syrups cream etc). It wastes time when there’s a queue (there’s always a queue here cos it’s v busy) and it makes it feel like they just wanna milk as much money out of you as possible. Other coffee companies don’t do that, it’s very corporate

Simple coffee chain but nice. Staff were very helpful reserving a space suitable for a friend who is a wheelchair user.

  • 5/5 Colin B. 1 year ago on Google
Not too crowded, coffee and service were up to standard. Top tip. On a hot day sit downstairs. The aircon is better.

An oasis of tranquility in the busy city centre. Coffee, cake and relax. Best Costa in Dublin

  • 1/5 Pasquale C. 1 year ago on Google
Staff very rude and arrogant. They treat you badly by default, management need to do something quickly. Soon that place will be empty.

  • 1/5 Patricia G. 2 years ago on Google
It is so disappointing that everytime you order a hot chocolate black forest you have to bagging ask the staff so they would add all the ingredients and make you feel very uncomfortable for doing it. Pretty bad costume service in general at all Costa units in Dublin.

Great place to stop in and have coffee. Large downstairs area to sit and chat or do some work and the coffee is very affordable.
