Great speciality coffee, decent pastries, nice upstairs sitting area, chilled environment and fantastic music even though there are no speakers upstairs. Pretty overpriced probably due to location and high-quality coffee, the service was fast and efficient as well. I wish it would have been possible to have my coffee in a proper mug instead of a takeaway paper cup. I was really frustrated when I saw the 30 mins max stay time, it truly feels like they want you out of there asap to leave room for new customers which really made my stay uncomfortable, also it was not possible to use laptops or study which is also what cafe are built for. I personally would not come here to have a chat with a friend or something like that knowing that after a certain time you are no longer supposed to be there. Wouldn’t come back.

Back in Dublin after 5yrs, I wanted to visit one of my fav coffee places worldwide. Still top notch flat white, choice of cakes is rather limited though. Prices have definitely increased FW 4€ + chocolate tartlet 3€, but this is unfortunately a general trend in Europe, lately. Overall still a great spot for delicious coffee.

They open really early which is great. I dropped by just to grab coffee and wasnt disappointed. I also got an almond croissant and it was delicious. Their staffs are all so friendly and the place has a great ambience. I’d come back to try more next time :)

I got a delicious oat latte and vegan pistachio and lemon mini cake here today. Extensive coffee menu and multiple treat options (including vegan). The constant queue outside is a visual testament to this establishment's reputation. Eco cups AND lids. Friendly staff. Top notch!

Great coffee, nice seating upstairs. Oat milk for 50cent extra, but it’s Oatly so it’s worth it. Would recommend!

Great coffee. My usual order is a flat white with oat milk. They use the Barista Edition Oatly milk which is a creamy and tasty vegan alternative to milk. Today I also tried the raspberry and white chocolate muffin, which was amazing. Perfect balance of sweet and tart. There’s no WiFi, though. One star down because of that. If you bring your own pocket WiFi, there’s space to do a bit of work upstairs. No working on weekends, which is fair enough.

Kaph has good coffee and variety of specialty beans to buy. However, when I asked for matcha latte with unsweetened milk it was still made using the sweetened one.

When you walk in you’re greeted by two mythos grinders and a beautiful Victoria Arduino machine. Optimistic. This calibre of equipment means this shop is serious about coffee. ‘What can I get you?’ ‘What beans have you got on today?’ ‘A blend and a single origin’ ‘Single origin sounds good what is it’ This is where the disappointment started to set in. I like a barista to tell me about the beans they’re serving. Taste notes, processing method etc... it shows me they’re passionate and interested about what they’re serving. Instead.... ‘There’s information on that card about the single origin’ Maybe I’m being picky, but when I’m paying €3.40 (no mention of the single origin costing 50 cent more than the blend) for an espresso I want to feel engaged and informed by a passionate barista about what I should expect, not read from a card. The espresso was bland and lacking any real clarity, not what I would expect from a top quality single origin from 3fe. I took my cup, drank it outside and brought the empty cup back in. This is where I like to be asked ‘how was the espresso’ so I can engage in conversation about taste notes (or lack of), body & clarity but no, nothing. Just a forced smile (you must smile at all customers) when handing the cup back. I will give them another chance because from speaking to other coffee lovers they rate Kaph as amongst the best. Maybe I got here on a bad day or maybe I’m just asking for too much?

Very nice coffee! But very disappointing that they don't offer flavours such as caramel or vanilla syrup.. I understand they want to focus on their signature strong coffee but some of us really want flavour to compliment that good coffee! Nevertheless, I do still enjoy their plain coffee with alternative milks

The coffee here is the best for many kilometers around. I make a point of dipping here for a perfect cup of coffee every time I make it to Dublin.

One of my favorite cafes to chill at and do some work outside. Easy, central location and a nice spot to stop off for some chai and coffee when I'm running errands. Staff is super friendly, personable, and it's easy to become a regular here. Don't be intimidated by the line, it actually moves quickly. If you're a tourist and you want a taste of a chill Dublin life, grab a coffee, hang outside or upstairs, and have fun people watching. The road is closed to vehicles so it's a wonderful place to interact with locals. If you have kids it's nice to not worry about them running into the road with cars around. Sometimes there's live music going on nearby as well. As a local now, this is one of the regular spots where I'll chill and do some writing. It's one of the cafes that close later in the day at 6pmish. So I can get errands done and still have time to get a chai latte or an Americano (if I'm super tired). Languages spoken : wide variety (there's no point in trying to name them all here lol)

Nice little coffee with some seats outside. Nice week to start a lazy weekend morning

  • 1/5 颖钊冯 2 years ago on Google
Well this was disappointing… -Asked for an ice matcha latte without ice cubes and still got ice cubes … meaning there’s absolutely no communication between the two baristas even though it’s a tiny place. -it said 3,5€ on the black board and made me pay 4,50€ so apparently ice cubes cost me 90cts 🥲

  • 4/5 Tara R. 5 years ago on Google
The iced coffee was really tasty and a good size. The service was prompt and friendly. You can buy coffee to take home with you if you want. Seating in the actual shop is limited but there is more upstairs. They take card. The baked goods looked delicious!

Quite busy on Saturday morning. The coffee is very good. Pastry looks beautiful but doesn't taste that good.

This is a lovely little café in the heart of Dublin 2. The takeaway coffee was good, although my cappuccino didn't have any light chocolate sprinkle, and neither was I offered it. However, I have given an extra star for the little dessert tarts. I chose a lemon and chocolate tart and they were absolutley wonderful, the pastry not a crumbly mess but a well worked texture of tasty and not overly sweet. Compliments to the chef who made them. They also accommodated my request with no fuss of "small hot chocolates" for my children, with accompanying little hearts in the milk froth. This made them very happy. Worth a visit for a takeaway coffee.

Terrible coffee.. super acidic, bitter. Baristas are friendly but coffee not good at all! Change your beans for better quality as price doesn’t reflect quality at all. Won’t be back and cannot recommend.

My favourite little coffee spot in town. Great location, lovely staff and gorgeous coffee. Also, one of the only places that uses an unsweetened almond milk which makes my heart so happy! Sweetened milks are the worst! Oh and they do a few lovely little vegan cakes too ♡

  • 4/5 Ceyda Z. 2 years ago on Google
Got the carrot cake and coconut milk latte. Super yummy food and great coffee. The milky texture and freshness of coffee is amazing. Friendly staff. There is a bench outside facing the sun. It’s mostly crowded due to well deserved high demand. It’s pricey therefore 4 stars.

Nice place but a little overpriced coffee, still would go back though 👌🏾

  • 2/5 Honore J. 2 years ago on Google
Disappointing for a specialty coffee shop. Unnecessarily rushed. Stale pastries, lack of atmosphere, and staff not able to answer questions about specialty beans. Also no wifi and not serving food at that moment. Staff was nice but I would not recommend if you're looking for interesting coffee or good food.

  • 1/5 Ian C. 1 year ago on Google
Very strange experience here today - I have gone here a number of times over the last few weeks and the service has been good however at 9am this morning I went in and the Barista had a rollie cigarette behind his ear while serving which I thought was a bit odd but fine, however once he served me the coffee I asked for chocolate powder on top and he started saying “cocaine power” and laughing…what a outrageous and inappropriate thing to say to a customer , I left and threw out the coffee. Even if he was joking (I hope) you should not be making these comments to anyone - I will not be returning

  • 5/5 Andrew D. 1 year ago on Google
Delicious - nice and simple place that offers some of the best coffee you’ll find in Dublin! The almond croissant had fresh almond paste which was much appreciated! They have a small seating area but there are often chairs and tables outside where you can enjoy the weather.

I had breakfast there and was a comfy and warm space and it makes you feel like home I had an avocado sandwich and it is super nice that they have veggie options

  • 3/5 Carl N. 1 year ago on Google
Coffee was good, service was fine. I'm not a regular here. The "no laptops/no home office" was quite a charming rule and honestly not something I'm against at all. But as I was sitting upstairs doing some reading, people were on full blast phone conversations and playing videos and songs out of their phone. It made me wonder about the efficacy of such a rule. I imagine it's to engender a more convivial attitude, a "stay and chat, then-please-leave-we-have-other-customers-thank-you" kind of vibe, yet all that it elicited in myself was a wondering at why they drew a line here. Are people screaming down their phones and playing tiktoks at full volume more conducive to a café atmosphere than the writer, the student etc.? I don't think so. I find it curious as I would not have concerned myself with this train of thought at all had they not the rule in the first place. The coffee was good, don't get me wrong, but it really made me wonder about what is achieved by this kind of arbitrary rule.

One of the better, if not best (that I could find) for a sit-down, American style third wave coffee (though probably not third wave). A lovely upstairs with extra sitting aware from the street. The area is actually quite nice as well.

One of the finest coffee shops in Dublin. The staff are dreams. Coffee is top tier. Great seating area upstairs. There's a reason this place is busy. Getting coffee here always gives me a big smile.

Heard so much about Kaph and decided to pop in! Would say the shop front doesn’t stick out so much but the line certainly does! Downstairs is quite a small space and something needs to be done about where to stand while waiting / the way the staff call out the orders. Got an oat milk capacity which was €4.70 so quite pricey (wish places didn’t charge extra for milk alternatives!) but it was really good. Also tried a regular latte and quite enjoyed it despite not liking lattes! Didn’t venture upstairs this time.

Latte while on the more expensive side (even for Dublin) was really good, would definitely come back based on that alone. Service not that quick because of the lack of coffee machines, this didn’t bother me personally but is something to be mindful of if in a rush. Staff were friendly also. Small coffee shop, downstairs especially fills up very fast and can feel cramped while waiting for your order to be ready. Would recommend for a great tasting coffee in Dublin city centre!

Probably my favourite place for coffee in Dublin. It's very small so do not go if you are too many. You can order any coffee and it will be good. They have also few pastries with no gluten option. I enjoy the first floor if you want to chill but take away works too. I also love the macha with the perfect amount of tea and very creamy

Very little space but full of life. Young people with laptops, people walking the dog (entering with the dog), people of all ages working nearby and stopping to have a coffee. Has small place outside. It's so relaxing there. The team of people is very knowledgeable about coffee. And yes, the most important: the have good quality coffee and tea. Try it. I go there at least once per months, I work nearby

Is a little tight on space so may be better as a take away option than a sit down coffee, but the coffee itself is exceptionally good so definitely worth the visit. Been in a number of times and the staff is always welcoming.

They used to be conceited and not pay attention to their customers at all. Now they’ve changed their team, and Kaph has become a great address for a moment of relaxation in the heart of busy Dublin for an afternoon of coffee/tea!
